Via Gedern: Centriq is a great facility and Tim is extremely professional and helpful.
G Jay: I have high praise for the staff at the KC campus. I am a former student who needed some paperwork from my time there, and while this was a pretty routine request, I was still really impressed with the quickness and courtesy of reception and accounting.I am very glad I went to Centriq. I am definitely not the smartest person and had to work harder than most others, but having this training on my resume has helped me get a job for 30k a year more than I was making at the job I left to go to Centriq. And even though I don't technically have an IT job, I still find that I use what I learned quite a bit at work.If I can make it, anyone can. If you're needing an income boost and some new skills you should get in touch with this school.
alex staufenbiel: Nice campus I look forward to going to class there
Stephen Wakefield: Curriculum: 4/5Teachers: 5/5Price: 2/5Resume/Interview assistance: 5/5Job Success Rate: 3/5I went through the full stack development program in Oct 2017. C# is Centriq's language of choice and there is a reason for that. It is an extremely popular coding language in the midwest. The instructors are all fantastic and the curriculum is extensive for a 4 month program: c#, sql, javascript, etc... Take advantage of their HR depts resume building and mock interviews. It is fair to say it is overpriced, but for me it was worth it. For my class the success rate of getting a job right away (after 2 months) was about 60 percent. I was fortunate to get a job before I graduated but I had self studied in Javascript and PHP for three years (highly recommend Lynda.com essential training courses to see if you like programming first before paying a lot of money for training you don't want). You get what you put into this program in my case. I am giving this review because I want to not because I was asked to do this. Sadly you DO need some kind of credible education to land that first programming job unless you are extremely fortunate or network well.
Kyle Ronen: The building was extremely well kept and welcoming inside. The outside was fine but it made no lasting impression on me. There was a new Jaguar I-Pace in the parking lot so that was really cool to see. Tim was the staff member who checked me in and was extremely kind and even indulged in some casual conversation that made me feel welcomed. The entire process was handled effectively and professionally. I had issues with the tests wording, spelling (very few instances), and sentence structure causing me to be unsure of what the full and accurate question was. But I passed my test and had an overall great experience locating and using this facility!
Alex Caskey: I took a certification test there. They were very courteous and professional.
Marnie Boyd: Critical:Communication,Quality,Value
Ryan: Nice building and staff but the screens in the testing room are old and hard to read from. As I continue testing for certifications, I'll have to look for another venue.
Lulu's Big Adventure: Polite staff. Accommodated an early arrival. Good Covid practices. And woohoo, I passed.
Troy: I took a test here and not training. The testing administration was quick, professional, and C19 level clean.
Daniel Boyd: Let me start by saying that I'm a senior software engineer with over a decade in the industry. I work largely on enterprise cloud applications as a full stack engineer and architect.Having witness and assisted an individual going through their curriculum I strongly advise against attending Centriq. It's a horrific waste of time and money and I actively advise against hiring Centriq grads at my current employer due to what I experienced. What little they actually "teach" you is either incorrect, immensely dated, or bad practice. Most, if not all, of their instructors seem to be failed software engineers that graduated from Centriq, got 1-2 years of experience (at most as some had none) and came back to teach as they couldn't actually do their jobs. You'll end up having to relearn almost everything they cover. As such you are better off pursuing self paced learning from online courses. You'll learn more relevant and up-to-date coding practices and topics without being mislead. You'll save yourself a lot of money as well. They have little concern if you actually understand what they teach you. They don't care if you are struggling. They don't care if you find a job. They just want your money. Their main concern is to convince you to stay in the program long enough to get your money. I can only assume they are lying about how many graduates find jobs. Last my acquaintance checked, no one from her class had managed to find a job. Most had given up and returned to previous work.Take it from an experienced professional in the field. Don't go to Centriq. If I see a resume from a Centriq grad, I'm tossing it. Save your money and don't reward these con artist.
Kathy Owens-Walker: I have to select at least one star to post a review, otherwise I would have given them zero stars. This place is definitely not the place to go for people without any prior IT experience. My son was 19 years old when he went through their program Fall/Winter 2018/2019...6 students in his group and only one person found a job...which he had years if prior experience, but needed up to date knowedglede. His job didn't even work out though. I wish I would have given this review a long time ago. My son wishes he'd never had went there...because he's $24,000 in debt now & is going to JCCC to get more in-depth training on the things Centriq touced on for a week then moved onto the next subject. I like to know the REAL number for more people without any prior IT experience job placement. I'm reporting them to the BBB.
Dustin Allen: Nice new facility, friendly staff, will wait to 5 star until I pass the test :)
Christopher Christensen: Came for PMP prep training. Bill Lewis has a wealth of experience and does a great job with what is needed to prepare for the exam.
cam metcalf: I was trained here, there is some very valuable information to be had... And some very wonderful people to meet.
Douglas Hoff: As an instructor at Centriq, I can't be completely objective. But after teaching in a large junior college in California, a local college here, Oracle University locations, and many small classrooms, I can honestly say Centriq has the best administration and staff that I've ever seen.Centriq grew from a small operation 25 years ago to where we've had the need to take over an entire building to house its career training program and corporate classes. I've taught both types and respect how they've put the student's desire to be trained for an IT job first and not just to acquire certificates. There's a reason why they've lasted when their competitors have not.Instructors will go where they feel like they are both learning and making a difference in students' lives. Sometimes that means they have to leave teaching to learn from the real world. More teachers have stayed at Centriq than I've ever seen except in an academic tenure situation. We teach classes of one or two when useful but always love a large class like those of the 16 week Microsoft web developer or network admin tracks. I can see those students making a difference in Kansas City, and now St. Louis, regions. One of my favorite students was making six figures in four years after his graduation.I regularly speak with the account representatives and find that they encourage a relationship with their clients and not just try to sell my classes. I love getting on the phone with them so people understand what's in my classes. They don't really have to do much to gain clients' trust since we have a good reputation in KC.So, I would be a student without hesitation if I wasn't teaching all the time. My time away from the classroom is spent studying and developing new classes. I really can't think how we could do much better and if you have any feedback, I'm sure you can find me online or just come visit us.
Quintin Dublin: Great IT classes
Jason Allee: First off, the first person you meet at Centriq (Russ) is a manipulative liar. I went there to learn coding, all my placement tests confirmed that I'd be perfect for coding, since my brain seems to be able to easily find mistakes and inconsistencies in patterns. For whatever reason Russ went out of his way to talk me out of coding and into the IT Admin side of things. Sure, my fault for going along with it.Don't get me wrong, I thoroughly enjoyed my time at Centriq, and made some friends along the way. The problem didn't become apparent until I graduated and began to look for a job. I slowly started to realize that all the advertising of "you will be paid more" was aimed at high school kids and factory workers who would be thrilled to get a $35k a year job. I set my sights on $45k (a $10k pay drop for me) and was laughed at by the career services person. Still I applied and applied for hundreds of jobs. After 8 months of being turned down over and over again I gave up. So thanks Centriq for making me waste $22,000 and 4 month of my life to be turned down from lower paying jobs.IT Admin jobs will not hire you if you have visible tattoos and piercings, no matter how well you learn and understand the material. Should've just stuck with coding. Now I have to teach myself since I used the last of my GI Bill to learn skills that people with tattoos can't do apparently.
Christian Goben: I don't know what to say other than that centriq changed my life. I went from being a data entry clerk to an employed full-stack developer in less than 4 months. If you're dedicated and love to learn this place can do wonders for you.
Bud Oyler: People really care about your education!
Matt Lang: Great learning environment

Jess Bell: This center was recently bought out and is under new owner! Shana Powers is the Career Consultant and her focus is to bringing value to the community and assisting with career road maps. Ask her about her free career class she offers to all.
BJ Herr: This "school/learning center" is a fraud. Please do not waste your time and money! Universities will not accept credit for any classes, as they have lost their accreditation. The majority of their staff is rude and either unwilling to assist or incompetent. I purchased the programming package and later realized this “Learning Center” was a fraud. The contract states that if you’ve taken less than half the courses, then you’re eligible for a refund. I took less than half the classes in 2009 and requested the remaining refund in 2010. I called and complained so many times I was given the name of the corporate director at their headquarters. He (Frank Perry) dodged my calls and emails as well. New Horizons has mastered the elusive scamming skill, as it must be part of their corporate training program. Upon request, I’d be delighted to provide proof of these claims. Now, they’re creating fake positive Google reviews!
Thomas Hines: Great staff and an amazing new center across the street from JCCC.
charmaine berry: Waste of time teacher telling you that your not going to pass pass rate very low
Shelly Scott: I would not recommend this school, unless your a fast learner and like the fast pace go for it. They really don't listen to their students, they don't give you enough information, with the change in technology you don't know how long the class will be there. I Have asked about another voucher due to me failing one exam no response. i have asked how many time I can retake my class one person said no set limit, another said only 3 times. I have even asked for some help on how to study for the exams other than the practice exams and searching the internet, something like a tutor again no answer. I have also been told not to contact this person or persons as they are no longer dealing with student services. I have gone through 2 or 3 counselors since tending. I have even ask not to have my classes scheduled so close together, if I can only do one until is it finished before going to the next I got ignored.
Joshua Parker: This company's 'career consultants' are ridiculously ignorant.First off, they market their company under the guise of a 'job posting' and then when you respond to such job posting they give your their sales pitch of how great Horizons center is, how they have open positions for people with required certificates and how they can train you. Sure... I understand what they're trying to do, such a training center obviously has an appeal to helping people reach their next career level through training. The problem I have is, practically lying to people by soliciting your services under the assumption of a job posting on careerbuilder. Then, when I asked their 'career consultant' Tappen Tilgner to stop contacting me I've received numerous unsolicited emails; one of which the opening statement was even addressed to a different person but sent to my email. After several attempts of asking them to stop contacting me I've been pushed into making my struggles with the company public through a review and a report to the BBB.Find a different marketing avenue... you shouldn't start a relationship with a customer by disregarding their trust right from the beginning. Ridiculous.
Brent Mammen: I showed up for the training this morning and even though I was on the sign-in sheet and had student credentials at a PC I was told that the course was full and they sent me packing. I can’t begin to convey my frustration with this company and it isn't the first time. Last year I showed up to take an MCSE exam and even though the voice-mail message and website said the testing center was open, there wasn't anyone there besides the receptionist. We had received 1 ½ inches of snow the night before which wasn't bad but it still would have been acceptable if the testing center was advertised as closed for the day. I called Microsoft and they were in the same boat, they believed the testing center to be open but couldn't contact anyone. I ended up driving to Centriq Training that same day and took that exam, but was charged twice since in Microsoft’s system I was the one who didn't show up. I finally did get the exam fee refunded but vowed never to take another test at New Horizons.
Jim Stanford: Pleasant. Easy to find. Brutal test. Step is two days.

Hehehheheheheh Hop: It was my first time there and I just Love the that park. A very nice park in the city for youth.
Vanessa Perezlanda: Safe,Fantastic and fun place for the all the kids. Thank you guys for everything you do!
J. Bithell: Wonderful place... Excellent kids place..
Dan Linick: What a great place!
Sara Fahring: This place is fantastic! They let our school have field day here!
G Gray: Clean and controlled...I enjoyed the atmosphere...
GRISS RODRIGUEZ: 💙⚾️💯✔
brett vilott: I thought the service was excellent and I will not forget that. Thank you to all that do what they do.
Daryl Penner: Wow!! What a Field of Dreams for young ballplayers. By far the best field we've played on in KC in 10 years all over this city.
vic demize: beautiful facility! one of the best amateur facilities in all of America. 2nd only to the team USA training facility in Cary North Carolina in my opinion. This is a place where kids can feel like they are in the big leagues. Thank you to everyone involved in providing this beautiful ball park in our amazing city, and community.
Emily Lopez: The gentleman helping at the Elite camp on Thursdays is absolutely horrible and rude. My son was swinging in the batting cage and he yelled “horrible” to him. Was so negative and had nothing constructive to say everything was talking down and making him feel stupid. We will never be back.
Bob Cobb: This venue is beyond any other in the metro. The work they do and the staff are incredible. We did a camp and was Blessed to be able to use this facility.
Clifton Johnson: Had a great time at the game, beautiful, clean and well maintained!!!
Lori: The facility was very clean, professional looking, and a pleasant experience 2 be a part of! I'd recommend anyone here! We went here for my son's show case with perfect game. So he's 16 was playing baseball showing off his talent but they also have a basketball court, and tennis courses as well! Bathrooms were well kept! I didn't try the concession stands or the tailgating going on right outside the place but I feel it would be good by the looks of the lines. Overall very fun weekend here!! A must stop if you enjoy baseball and are in Missouri!! 👍😁⚾️🏆🏅
Mike H.: This past weekend we played in a Urban Youth Academy baseball tournament. Overall, the facility & experience were both fantastic! Most of the fields we play on are like playing on black top. So, being able to play on a turf field was a welcome experience!I was a bit worried about parking however the city blocked off a few lanes on Paseo so families could easily park. Both parking and entrance into the park were both free. I could be wrong but I don't believe the UYA will ever charge a gate fee for tournaments.
Lawrence Leek: Was there for a vaccine shot, looks like a fun spot. Not familiar with all the services or programs they do.
Raymond Criswell: 2nd vaccine. Everything went great!
Erica Byers: Absolutely love the organization!
Glenn Yates: I had a good time watching my grandson practice
B. Patt.: Cool placeVaccine setupVery organized
Dawn Ballou: Great place, turf was amazing. Great softball complex

SuchtiFrenz: Good shooting range
Kimberly Stanfield: Not impressed by this school, classes are still online when they really need to be in session especially to practice skills. Had non-stop issues. If the nurses don’t want to teach then you need to move along. Need instructors who care and want you to succeed and help you to improve. Teaching yourself is extremely difficult and not what I pay for, I pay for a service. The instructors don’t follow the schools values and missions. Disappointed to say the least. One of the worst customer service interactions. I was given a code from my school to purchase some materials. The code ‘malfunctioned’ according to APEA since the price was lower than what they charge normally. According to them and my school it was my fault the code I was given gave me a bigger discount. I politely responded stating as a business owner I would never track down a customer and harass/threaten them that unless I received the full price I will cancel their order. But my school stated it was my fault thus I have no choice to but pay whatever price or I will fail my class. As a disabled veteran I am deeply hurt of the result of this company and my school.
Ko Meh: The doctors and nurse are really unprofessional. They would make you wait in the room and tell you they would come back but never does. happened to me twice already they told me they were going to come back but never did. so I left the room to see that there was nobody outside. another doctor came up to me and told me that my doctor said I can leave. worst hospital i’ve ever went to.
Emily Istas: It’s not cool here at all
Daniel Johnson: Very polite very knowledgeable
Johnnie F: They're native hospital that chop people up
Sara Klein: I came here for a triangular fracture surgery and was highly impressed with the nurses and doctors. They were very respectful and I was impressed by how well they explained things to me and made me feel comfortable. I hope I never have to come here again but if I do this is the hospital I choose.
Megan Biggerstaff: The admission process for this school is very disorganized. Conflicting messages about needed requirements. I have had better experiences when apply to other nursing schools. With burnout and shortage in the nursing field it’s frustrating how difficult it is to be a nurse
KRYSTAL YOUNG: I was recently a patient here and on the 6th floor in the med unit the nurses were so amazing they were very efficient and caring. The doctor "Doctor Brown" was so awesome he really knew his job and how to treat me ive never had a doctor ive felt so comfortable around I personally have mental illness and I dont feel comfortable in alot of situations I would recommend dr brown to anyone hes amaing at his job. Great job ku at putting your patient first. If I could give this hospital 10 i would.
MATT Mccollom: Not impressed with this hospital I can never get a call back from the doctor or his nurses.
Thom Seelbinder: Been waiting to see a doctor for over 6 hours now. Told multiple nurses my head was in pain and they told me to wait for doctor. I have epilepsy and feel this should have been taken more seriously. Would’ve given a zero star rating if I could’veEdit: over a year later and haven’t heard a single word from this hospital about this incredibly negligent ER Visit! I’m honestly scared for anyone who goes to this hospital with medical issues. They couldn’t care less about you as a patient
Veronica Junquera Romero: Buenos profesionales excelente trato
Jesse: Everyone complaining: This isn’t the hospital. This is the nursing school…
AK GHZT - WRHYDTAR: OMG if theres n I room in the hospital airflight them to Oklahoma Jesus Christ its bot rocket science the privlam is is that peiple dont like people. .
robbie brumby: There's a lot of caring people at this hospital and great views of downtown do you're research before going to any hospital some have more students then actual doctors
Brian Wilson: Great school and a great hospital!
Jackie M: Be aware when you enter the hospital you will be in contact with multiple personnel who are anit-vac people and are unvaccinated from covid. From admitting clerk to insurance clerk to nurse to doctor. From the medical directors to Republican state government (and KUMC is semi- funded by state of Kansas) there is NO DIRECTIVE for their healthcare workers to be vaccinated for covid. No surprise, the state of KANSAS medical chief used to run KUMC and he didn't even bother for healthcare staff to all get flu shots! More money for their ICU I suppose on the backs of ethical staff who got vaccinated!
Melissa Spinks: Worst ER Hospital. Out of my 12 hours being evaluated, there was was one nice Nurse. Rudest Staff I've encountered. They did absolutely nothing for me. I'm still extremely ill with an auto immune disease. I've learned that if ER Doctors or mostly the Medical Field doesn't understand your Diagnosis, you're invisible and unworthy of their time. And the "Paramedics" were by far the worst sub humans I've ever witnessed.
Mary Evans: Best place for a heart patient to go because the teams know how to take care of the patient.
Alice George: Horrible! I'm a court reporter and I was supposed to do a zoom deposition in one of the conference rooms on the 5th floor. I finally found my way to the conference room, and I hooked up my laptop to your unsecured wi-fi, and it immediately started interacting with my computer. All of a sudden windows were opening all over the place. 20 Windows maybe, and my cursor wouldn't work, I couldn't turn anything off, I couldn't shut anything down. It was horrible and very scary. I thought that I was going to have a virus on my computer. When I got home my laptop worked just fine. It was your unsecured Wi-Fi that caused the problem. I'm probably going to lose work from the company who hired me for their court reporter for this deposition because my more than capable laptop that normally works everywhere for zoom, would not work in your conference room.

Ronald Garffie: Get your training elsewhere, Red Cross canceled two CPR classes (one with only 38 minutes notice) and no discounts/make goods...nothing. Also, no admin to help me (even though lights are on, doors are locked), so only phone support. Sad.
Caleb I: Donate your time and resources elsewhere. My last two donation visits have left me frustrated enough to look elsewhere for my future donations. Two visits ago they punctured through my vein, causing bleeding and brushing. For my last visit I waited as long as I could (20+ min past my scheduled time) before I had to leave due to prior commitments.
Marquela Vann: One of the best organizations not just in Kansas City but in the United States
John Eberenz: A GREAT PLACE, EVERYON
Bryan H: There's a reason the Red Cross is the greatest humanitarian organization on the planet. Our work is both critically important and life-changing to individuals and communities across the country and beyond.
Elliott Eisele-Miller: I'm sure overall they are a great organization but in Kansas City they have many blood drives and a large proportion of the areas blood donations but yet provide little of that blood to local hospitals. Blood collected by the local Community blood center however stays local. The Kansas City Red Cross even schedules blood drives after CBC does for the same towns/areas but make them so they occur just before the CBC blood drives so they take the donors the CBC would get.
Glenn: Every donation helps three people.
Robert Hergert: Outstanding organization, excellent and caring employees and volunteers, thanks for your service!
Kacey Bolden: Asked them for help with my situation of being homeless
Darrell Lowery: Great company that helps alot of people... But me and my family, all cause I dont have written proof that I live there. I can provide pictures of all my families stuff burnt but thats not good enough.Im covered in black ash digging a couple things out of the rubble but yet im denied help.... Horrible..
Linda Foster: Most people don't realize that the great majority of the people providing help through the Red Cross are volunteers. They are highly trained, dedicated and the most caring people you will ever meet. They are highly accountable and conscientious with donated dollars and go the extra mile to find all sources of help. I'm proud to say I retired from there as an employee after 23 years and remained a volunteer for years after.
Tom Aston: Incredible organization
Selvin Sánchez: Soy guatemalteco tambien pertenesco a la Cruz roja de Guatemala quiciera ser voluntario de Cruz roja Americana
