Just Me: Edit 6-18-2023When we arrived today we were greeted by the unhappiest host I have ever encountered. While there were many tables open, servers standing around, two people behind the bar jacking around, and the dark haired girl with glasses that we presumed was the manager jacking around with them, we were told by Ms Happy that we couldn’t be seated because they had no help!! We waited for at least ten minutes, while the employees were staring at us and joking and talking amongst themselves. Meanwhile the hostess was literally organizing crayons. Yes crayons. This was at 3:30 today, there were only about 10 diners in the entire restaurant. When we were seated we waited another ten minutes for the server to even come to our table only to be advised of all the things that they were out of and for her to question us about if we were sure we wanted the drinks that we ordered as if she had better ideas. Then she asked us if we had ever even been there before. We have been to this restaurant and least 30 times and have spent thousands of dollars eating here. We finally just told Ms Happy Hostess to tell our waitress to cancel our drinks and left. As I have said in previous reviews the happy hour used to be the best, however it has had 65 percent of the original items removed from the happy hour menu and replaced with nothing. I have also said that the quality of the service has been in a steady decline. Today was atrocious.I am convinced that you should actually just shut your doors and save the company moneyBest Happy Hour menu in my opinion. Still love the food though I will say the service has gone down hill considerably since it opened a few years back.
Wendy Lythgoe: Been here several times. The happy hour is great. Brunch was a big let down though. Not sure why they are serving produce that is past it's prime. At Father's Day brunch we started with the fruit is good for you plate and the smoked tuna dip. The grapefruit and blueberries were sad. The blueberries were mushy and the sliced grapefruit looked shriveled and like it sat around way too long. The snowpeas that came with the tuna dip were limp, shriveled, and not crisp at all. The celery was not fresh and the cut ends were dried out and off color. The carrot, red bell pepper, and radish were ok though. It's just so disappointing and not consistent. How can I trust the oysters and other seafood to be fresh when the produce is not? My husband liked his fish sandwich and my vegetable omelette was good. Maybe today was an off day? It's usually very good.

James McGilley: The large oysters weren't large at all. The Steak Tartar had absolutely Zero Flavor, my grilled salmon was like a hockey puck. The only amazing tasting thing I ate was the Fried Calamari with the dipping sauce. My girlfriend paid the bill that was over $120.00, not including Tip. I would give it another try but expect much better attention to detail and not over cooked salmon.

T K: Great experience and service from staff and management, especially for someone who has a shellfish allergy. The manager made sure that the kitchen prepared my sandwich in a separate pan, and offered another option outside of fries due to it being cooked in the same oil as the shrimp. My burger was phenomenal and so was the wedge salad. The brûlée key lime pie is AMAZING along with the Cucumber Lemon Press!!

Here is my review of each item-Service and atmosphere- 10/10. Our waiter was great and it was really cool to look out the windows and see the plaza at night. The ceiling was also beautiful.Raspberry mule- 8/10 the flavor was really good but tasted a little watery and there didn’t seem to be much alcoholLavender haze- 5/10 honestly it was ordered because of the Taylor Swift song but it had a very weird aftertaste. J. Barrett: UPDATED REVIEW, May 2023: HARD PASS. Where to start. This place has gone downhill and gone downhill fast! I don't know if it's lack of good help, or a combination of that + really poor quality food. I ate here three times, under duress, in a 48-hour period. Extremely slow service, poor attention to detail, and hit or miss food every single time! For a restaurant supposedly of this caliber, I had nothing more than a disappointing experience all three occasions. Four of us ordered the shrimp tacos, which I cannot tell you just how terrible they were with kids being able to read this review. They need a complete overhaul of the recipe and they need to toss that disgusting microwaved shrimp in the garbage! Everyone experienced hit or miss dishes, rather that be appetizers or actual main courses or specials. Some of them were tasty, others reflected overcooked swordfish and halibut. You cannot overcook these delicacies and expect your side dishes, which also need improvement, to make up for it. I don't know what's going on, and I especially don't know how they expect to regain trust from patrons, but something must change and must change now for this downtown Kansas City staple! Did I mention they ran out of lobster? Really?2021 review (the good ole days): Top notch location, with amazing food and really great service. I placed my order online and went to pick up. When I got there my food was just getting finished from the kitchen, and the staff was very nice in making sure it was prepared how I wanted it. The best way I can describe this experience is that my taste buds were blessed. The food was seasoned perfectly and I ate every bite happily. The birthday girl chose seafood, specifically Krab Kingz because it was close and looked good. We entered the restaurant and asked if we could scoot a table or 2 together to accommodate our party of 7. We were told NO, we don't allow tables moved as they get broken. We were then told "besides, we don't allow large parties". The man that stated this promply turned and walked into the kitchen. We left and will NEVER go back and I will do my best to spread the word that this place doesn't want paying customers.

jassmine nicole: Very cool atmosphere.! I love the design of the restaurant it’s super laid back. Drinks are strong and tasty. The crab is so fresh for being in Missouri. It’s amazing. Whoever’s boiling them legs, They’re doing a good job because the crab just slides right out. Decently priced for the proportion you get I took home half of my food and only paid $40 for a plate. Great service too would give it a 10 star if I could.

I wish these places would be careful in how long they boil the seafood, because my crab meat was sticking to the shell, and I HATE THAT!!! 😫 It’s like I’m wasting my money because I’m fighting with the shell just to get some meat!! cassy merriman: My husband and I went up there for dinner and were quickly seated. We sat down, decided what to drink and what to order. We sat and waited for anyone to acknowledge that we were there. A couple that were seated after us got there drinks and placed their order. Finally we just walked out. I recommend to anyone to not go there.

You get to pick the spice level and which types of butter and extra flavors you want to put in there. Comes with potatoes and corn on the cob all mixed in the same boil bag, so the flavor is really there. I got the everything option, highly recommend. Just be sure to wear your bib!

Raymond Waller: This is a favorite place for the family to come for endless shrimp on special occasions, or to make a regular day a little special. We always enjoy getting Kathryn as our server because she is such a kind and fun person and takes great care of us. Lance Deshazo: This Red Lobster is definitely not as prestigious as the restaurant chain used to be. The atmosphere was a weird awkward quiet. The waitress was nice, but she quickly became a little irritable, repeating what sounded like a scripted greeting and responses. She was nice to my children. The food for the price was ridiculous. You are paying for the fact that it is seafood you are eating and not the taste and quality. I used to love Red Lobster, my mother would take us when I was a child and I remember it was held in a high standard, not like today.

Owen: Red Lobster is really delicious, whenever I go I get the all you can get shrimp which is very good and has never let me down. For only 22 dollars I can get about 5 plates full of shrimp and then I'm filled up by the 5th.The staff here are always very attentive and kind. I never have to ask for refills because before I can they're filling my cup for me.They also are polite in allowing us to say grace, I am thankful for that.

Cera Brown: Came in for a late dinner on a holiday. It surprisingly died down shortly after our arrival. Our server was a tad forgetful about silverware, napkins, etc., but I'm sure he had a busy night. Halfway through our dinner, I was distracted by a female employee laughing and speaking loudly to our server, saying, "You know when you said you were selfish earlier? I think you might be right!" and they continued to laugh. We asked our server for the bill, and after we made payment, he asked if we needed anything else before he left for the night. My assumption is that he made a comment to the female employee about wanting us to hurry up so he could go home since we were his last table, regardless of the holiday or celebration (it was also our anniversary). The restaurant itself didn't close for another 20 minutes. The shrimp was delicious. We might revisit this location in the future.

Leslie Hogan: We called at 4:45 pm to see if we could get our party of 10 reserved for 6:15pm. The person who answered said no problem. When we arrived, they said they have our table away because we were so late. We arrived at 6:18pn. It turns out the person who answered the phone put our reservation down for 4:45 PM, the exact time we called. Everyone makes mistakes and I get that. She said “we don’t take reservations “ But I clearly talked to someone there on the phone that said “no problem”. The person who answered the phone could have at least told us that they did not take reservations, but instead said no problem will put you down . So they offered us a 45 minute wait, and when I tried to explain that we were not late, and we just didn’t understand why our table was given away, the person who looked like a manager at the front dismissed me and told us to have a good night, just like that. Basically saying “just leave”. So we did and will not return to this location. We’ve been going here for decades. We would’ve probably waited the 45 minutes, but when we were told to have a good night and dismissed, we decided it was probably best to leave. I really have no words…..so disappointed
