Casey McDowell: I made an appointment in early November and my counselor never showed up to our scheduled Zoom session. Thriveworks has continued to charge me for services not rendered and all of my attempts to contact someone at their office have gone unanswered. I have filed a dispute with my credit card company and will attempt to report them to any necessary governing body.This type of behavior for these companies is predatory and preys on vulnerable people.

Sometimes in therapy you need a little levity and Erin has a knack for lightening the mood without discounting the problem. If you need to talk to someone Erin is an amazing option.

Andrew Stuehmer: Amazing service! I've been working with Josiah for over a year now, this has helped me tremendously. I highly recommend this counseling service.
Phillip Spencer: Please don't waste your time or money with this organization, they are nothing but a disservice to the community. We came here with serious mental health issues and ended up being referred to a more qualified professional. I have no issues with the referral however the issue is with the timing of the referral. Our therapist identified the issue and the treatment which is great! The unfortunate part is our therapist did not tell us they were not qualified/trained in the treatment and just continued with their 'talk therapy' which as it turns out is actually more harmful to someone with this issue(I found this out after consulting a qualified professional). After many sessions of them taking all of the money we had saved up for this and things making turn for the worse I became suspicious. I asked our therapist if this is actually something they were trained in and this is when we they admitted they were not trained and we were given the referral after I asked for one. I asked for compensation and our therapist just stopped responding to us. The owner was notified and made zero attempts to contact us or rectify the situation. I actually just felt like the owner was gaslighting me. Never have I seen such a display of incompetence. Please check my other google reviews. This is the only negative one I have ever given. I hope this review helps other avoid the pitfalls created by this organization.

Cathy Asher: I have known Crystal Rodenbaugh for several years and know she is an excellent therapist. She has experience in many areas but I have known her as a child and family therapist. She is professional but yet very caring. She is a wonderful Christian lady and incorporates these principles into her therapeutic approach, if desired by client. I would highly recommend her if you are in need of individual or family therapy. She has been a blessing in my life.

L V: I had a student counselor who canceled our second meeting and after verifying over text that I would not be charged for her cancellation, It ended up they sent a bill to collections without my knowledge that I was being charged.
Lydia Derhake: We received some of benefit from our sessions with one of the counselors here over several months. He was a good listener and able to provide some insight. We were mainly disappointed that we brought up certain issues we felt needed attention and were, though not denied outright, basically dismissed with the reasoning of, "those issues will resolve themselves if we fix other things. " They didn't and haven't, so we've moved on. Be very clear with what you want to address and ask for definitive agreement that your counselor will address those issues with you in a timely manner. I feel that our request wasn't something the counselor had the experience to handle, so if they tell you "the counselor who usually handles that is booked, but I can get you in with someone else," try a different counseling office.I am not saying this is a bad organization, just that my experience was mixed, with disappointment as a strong ingredient.
Rachael Syska: I love the online aspect of this. It's so much better than having to drive and be in an office. I can be comfortable in my own home or wherever I am. Aliuwa is fantastic. If I could give 10 stars for her I would. I am a different person from when I started to now. I am learning to keep my anxiety under control, and I have gained so much confidence by learning about myself.

Leslie Harris: I think that MyCounselor Kansas City is a unique concept in Biblical counseling. It is encouraging to know that help is available locally. Their office has a comfortable and welcoming appeal teamed with dedicated professionals (James F. is just one of them). Their website is very user-friendly and simple to navigate. The My Device Counseling and My Device Counseling options are additional services available for people not able to come to the local office or are more comfortabe in their own particular location of choice. I would highly recommend their services without hesitation.
Shenoda Shenoda: Great experience, Jesse is passionate and caring. He will take the extra mile with you and will not let it go until it is done right. I am fascinated of this service which is so helpful for me personally as I have anxiety to do face to face therapy. In addition, Christian background therapy makes a difference. I can't ask for better. Again, Jesse is a phenomenal therapist, I definitely recommend.

Courtney Collado: Saw this person years ago and recently realized what a detrimental experience that was. Not only was he (admittedly) not versed in SCIENCE (he said, verbatim: "I don't really understand biology, it wasn't my thing"), but after a few sessions he looked me dead in the eye and told me that if I didn't believe in god, he couldn't work with me any more. I walked out and never went back.
Demian Lylux: I suggest definitely going somewhere else. He doesn’t listen at all, and what therapist that has worked for 11 years not have experience with clients who have bad thoughts and actions to themselves. I was sketched out at that moment he said he has no experience, and then I kept telling him things and he would not listen to me at all. We haven’t even had one appointment and he has already shown me that he is most definitely wrong therapist for people like me who want to be fully listened to and understood.
