Great Oaks Therapy Center: what do users think?
Jaime Russell: The therapists I know at Great Oaks are among the most kindhearted, compassionate, thoughtful, amazing people I’ve ever met. I highly recommend GOTC to all of my friends and family seeking therapy for themselves or their loved ones, as I trust they will be truly cared for here.
Sydney Simek: Lydia is wonderful!

Center for Behavioral Medicine: what do users think?
misty pearon: The inpatient hospital part in the front was horrible and they meaning the staff of the hospital treated everyone like prrisoners and they didn't don't 7checks and I got attacked by another patient and they didn't care they just kept doing what they were doing and didnt carecthat that other c razy lady kitting me until i jumped up to knock her light out. Then they cared. This place was ice cold. It was as bad as being in the county lockup....i agree with someone elses comment about the staff being corrupt. This was all like that when i was there to.
Leslee Trotter: No response.
Deborah Simms: It takes 4 different people and 4 transfers before you get to who you need to talk to and everyone is so rude!
Jana Honeyball: I will just say corruption is in the staff, and an org or agencies vulgar attempt to display "power" and "control" for every single unfortunate being who placed me in the position with falsehoods, theft, and holding back my identity from the authorities, I dont waste my time or tears on those who have no heart, soul, or essence of the universal being. They stole about $300 in clothes phone and my personal belongings. Not that i couldnt replace it... Its just more damage to a mind that is protected in virtue.
j lee: Nice inpatient and outpatient faclity. Staff professional and nice treatment center

Tri-County Mental Health Services: what do users think?
Emily Martin: How am I supposed to have consistent mental health care when I never get calls for canceled appointments on their end? The amount of gas wasted coming to the facility just to find out your therapist is out for the day. It's frustrating. I'm thinking about going elsewhere but jeez it's almost like mental health doesn't matter in the state of Missouri nor is it possible to thrive.
Amy from KC: I've never gotten a call back from them. I've called so many times. This is what our taxes are funding. 👍
Ambrosia Ferree: Came in today since I tried to unalive yesterday. Turned me away because it was after hours (430pm) and was told to go to the nearest ER if I feel “unsafe”. Was provided “resources” on a sheet of paper but nothing else. Thanks so much. :)
Lynn Dvorak: Unknowledgable and uncompassionate!!
Sasha Covert: They failed my child. Dr. Mahmood dismissed EVERYTHING I'VE BEEN BRINGING TO HIS ATTENTION IN THE LAST YEAR ABOUT MY CHILD AND BECAUSE HE DIDN'T LISTEN AND WANTS TO BE RIGHTEOUS my child is now in a mental hospital. It took them LESS THEN 24HRS TO HAVE 7 DIAGNOSIS AND ARE PROPERLY BEING TREATED. Just want a paycheck. Doesn't care about their clients.
Vickie Stark: I've been going here for years. They have helped me alot. My Dr is great and so is the staff. Thanks to all of you!
Tammy Lopez: I am disabled. During the day, to have something to do besides stay home all the time, Tri-county has a "Day Program". The Day program has lots of purposes for people with mental illness or other disabilities. It's a way to meet other people, it has groups that teach certain topics on how to cope with daily life and there's a staff member assigned to each person to help with personal goal setting. Each day it also offers a different outing in the morning and afternoon. Transportation is provided as long as the participant resides within the specified area.
John Frank: Been going here since I was 18, recently changed doctors and decided it was finally time for a review of my experience. Front of desk staff is always friendly and easily the best part of this clinic. They are understaffed and work very hard so massive shout out to them. Pharmacy is competent and hard working too. The discounts on medication are much appreciated. As for the doctors. The ones that manage to stick around are bottom of the barrel, the good ones find better places to work asap. If you go here prepare to have meds pushed on you and most likely end up with an improper diagnosis. Let's just say my quality of life has been better since I've been seeing more caring mental health services.
a google user: When I began at Tri County I was told my service would be free of charge. Since then they have tried to say differently and now they are saying they can not see me at all after being a patient for several years. When I had Insurance they used it and then tried billing me for the rest. I have tried multiple times to discuss this with Tri County only to be passes off to another person 4 times now and have not heard back. It appears as though it is NOT about the patients health, but the county pocket book! I pay my portion included in my annual real-estate bill for mental health! My doctor and some of the staff are uncaring and insincere. My appointments have been cancelled in the past without my knowing, the switch board operator is very unprofessional, my calls (not all of them) have gone unanswered, as to leave a message is required even just to make an appointment. When I tell them (my doctor and the nurse) I am having a problem, nothing is done about it!
whitney waters: I've been trying to make an appointment for a friend. I've called and left 2 voicemails over a span of 4 days with no call back. I now understand all of the bad reviews. I feel bad for anyone who is in a desperate situation that has to resort trying to get into this place.
Anne R: First attempted to get help for my son in late October of 2019. The ER he had gone to claimed they were the only folks in our area he could get help from. I went in and was forced to speak to three different people before they decided they could do nothing for us. When Covid took off, and Zoom appointments became a thing, I called back- this was fall of 2020, I spoke with someone who thought they might help my son, or maybe connect him with case management, and then my son spoke with someone else on the phone and then I spoke with several different people, and then my son and I filled out lots of forms that said I could help him and then we waited for a call back for an appointment- for a zoom appointment. And it didn't come and so I called- which according to the many, many forms my son and I filled out- that was ok. And then someone said they would get back with us. And then we had an appiontment and then it was cancled by an automated voice mail and then I called back and someone said they would call us back and they didn't and so I called again and then when we got a call back it was a nurse practitioner who claimed (1) he could not have a zoom call with a physician and (2) I had no legal right to help my son. It was an exceptionally bad two year experience. Local mental health agencies are in general pretty dysfunctional and terrible. I think it was the cheeful, self-satisfied tone of voice from the last woman I spoke with explaining to me, I had no business helping my son that was so hurtful we chose to give up. It was/ has been a really, really hateful, impossible experience. I'm taking the time to write this review because this past spring Tri-County sent us a form asking for our feedback and there isn't enough space on the form to explain how bad it was.
Animallover Cunningham: They provide great care
Baby cheeks: I am honestly not happy with my service here. I have been waiting since June to get an ESA letter so I can move in with my animal and they have yet to send it to me. First it was my nurse never even communicated with anyone that I needed one and now for the last who knows how long it’s been the doctor needs to sign it. You would think 4 months would be more than enough time to do an ESA letter. Even told them I had to send it in before I could move into my housing out at where I go to school and still nothing. I would suggest if you have a timetable not going here. If you don’t have one and don’t mind waiting forever for things to get taken care of then you will do just fine here.
Crystal Dawn Gordon: Great place for help. Been going for 20 years!
Ally Giammalva: Waited two months to be seen, appt was canceled for the Chiefs parade and they won’t get me in for another two. I can’t wait that long.
Bobbie Brown: Good team of employees trying to help others overcome obstacles within their daily lives.
Zephen: doctor ignored paranoid schizophrenia diagnosis for 3 months trying to say i was just depressed and it almost killed me
Collin Wade: This place is great. It has saved my life from drug addictions and suicidal tenancies. If you are patient and let them do what they need to do it will work for you too. People just expect a quick fix to their problems and that is not the way it works.
Christina Gorman: Today makes the 3rd time of trying to get my daughter back on her meds from moving from another state 4 months ago. I have everything I need but still refuse to help her. I am so fraustrated right now.
Teddie Roush: Sliding scales
Wendy Carrington: This is a county offered services. They provide mental health services for those who have financial means and those who have nothing but the clothing on their backs. They provide case managers to assist the patient there is individual and group therapy offered the patient's treatment is overseen by a psychologist MD. They have a social day club for the members who need supervision during the day.the club has planned outings. The staff provides a great support system for the caregivers and family members

The Family Conservancy - Jackson County Family Center: what do users think?
D H: Came here for court ordered counseling. Do not ever take someone here for a court ordered assessment, it will be in the county’s favor. They are paid by the county so the report needs to look good for them. They are not working for you, they are working for a county. Take you’re child or family member anywhere else but here, preferably a private counselor. Just make sure they are not paid or get funds by the county. I had multiple meeting with one of the counselors and felt she was not taking me seriously.
C Chameleon: Showed up for my first appointment to be told it was the day before. Had set the appointment up a week in advance & requested off work that day. They just shrugged and offered to reschedule. Doesn't seem like they care what I'm going through, that I need help & what it meant for me to admit that and what it meant to me to have taken off work to be there. A simple appointment comfirmation email would have saved so much time and frustraion. It was so calus and unprofessional.
Abdou Njie: Got great times at this place always encouraging to go back, planning my next appointment .

New Hope Counseling Center - Pamela S. Taylor, PHD: what do users think?
Victor Arndt: Had a great experience years ago and referring a friend now.
Laretta Carpenter: I have been seeing Dr.Taylor for the past 4 years. Having anxiety and depression is like being scared and tired at the same time. She has helped me over the years so much. Knowing things are getting better day by day takes time. The atmosphere is welcoming and the staff is great. To have a doctor that cares about your health and feelings means a whole lot.
Rye Bread: Nice atmosphere, hospitable and professional.
Dale Winston: This is the worst business I have done business with ever. I came in to get some help with dealing with at home and work related problems that I have been dealing with as of late. What I got was a set of other problems created by this office.I took time off because I felt that it would be a lot easier to work with the provider without the hassle of other distractions so I had to pay them for paperwork plus the sessions. NO PROBLEM. first issue however is that I never did ANY intake paperwork or release of medical information forms. It was not emailed to me and the provider never required me to do it coming in. Second the provider never pulled my medical history despite me telling her to do so. Third it took the provider forever getting the paperwork sent off because she did not have thorough information due to her not doing a psycho evaluation or pulling my medical history. Fourth issue, the provider was unprofessional as I don’t know what.Never listened to get an understanding and was more focused on what she had to say vs listening. She struggled with creating effective solutions for the issues I was having and nothing she did came off like she was confident in what she was doing. Then I realized she only work at the office part time. It really threw me back the last time I was there because the provider wanted to go back and fourth with me (WICH I HAVE ON RECORD) about my leave paperwork and she also used profanity with me suggesting that “if we do not get this s**t done they will not approve the paperwork". One thing was correct; the leave was not approved and that happened because the provider provided no real medical reasons for me not being at work and that is due to the providers lack off professionalism. I came in about 4 times coming off of about 465 dollars and I did not get much of anything out of it. THIS PLACE IS A STRAIGHT MONEY GRAB. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND GOING HERE PERIOD. IF YOU ARE ONE OF THESE BLACK BUSINESS SUPPORTERS THIS IS THE BLACK BUSINESS TO AVOID. I CANT SEE ANYBODY GIVING THIS PLACE 5 STARS BE VERY CAUTIOUS OF THE OVERLY FRIENDLY REVIEWS.PS. They claim they have zero record of me being in the office lol. Yeah because people take time out to write long drawn reviews about you all for nothing. My user name on here clearly is not my pedestrian name.
LaShonda072484: From day one I have always felt like me and my son has been welcome. One of the main things I have liked is how I feel like I am having "girl time" with my counselor instead of her asking me a bunch of questions and feeling like I am being interviewed. I determine how our counseling sessions will go my counselor has never had a counseling session agenda that we were going to talk about that day.
Brenda Smith: The staff is very nice. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming. To have a doctor that is also a Christian is a blessing. I'd recommend New Hope Counselling to all of my friends and family.
Sharonda Washington: Well first off I called in 1/27/20 to schedule an appt. I was given an appt for today, only to wake up to a email...that was sent at 9:17 PM stating that Dr. Taylor was booked until March and that I needed to call and schedule an appt with Rose, well being that I made my appt at 11:00 am you would think that if the Dr. was booked they would know that at the time of scheduling but I guess not..well I went on to call the office to clarify the situation and I was told that I could come in any time from 9-4pm the next day well crazy because I took an off day to be seen..and now I'm just off very unprofessional of them the lady who answered the phone explained that Rose had come in by 3 and stated that she had court on today well why wasn't I informed at that time I read reviews and know people exaggerate but I'm here to say no exaggeration reviews just about sums it up I just cancelled the whole thing because the first impression is everything and im not impressed...looking for better would not recommend at all!!!!😡😡👊🏾🤦🏽‍♀️
Treece D: New Hope Counseling is an amazing organization. Jennifer is awesome!! She has worked with my daughter for several months and I am seeing drastic positive changes in her. I highly recommend them.
Christina J: I've been bringing my daughter here for several months. My child likes her counselor and the staff is always friendly. I have no complaints.
c c: By giving this counseling center 2 stars I'm being generous. Certain members of staff here are very unprofessional behind closed doors. My child was meeting with so called counselor who was rude and had a bad attitude and seemed to not discuss real issues.Although she seemed young I thought she might still be a good fit. WRONG!!I later found out that she informed my child she was not a licensed counselor YET and needed to record a couple of their sessions to obtain licensing which she did without my permission......crazy and more than likely this breaks some type of counselors unethical code as well. They do not call to set up future appointments and apparently have poor communication between staff.I have always been leary of seeking counseling because a counselor has problems just like anybody else , but when they allow it to affect how they treat decent people , their effectiveness and sincere dedication to helping heal is fraud! My child will not be returning and hopefully this so called counselor will get her license after some much needed extra training !
Tiara Everyday (Tiara Everyday): She is a great doctor, listens to you and tries to help you get through tough times in life. I trust her and honestly believe that she has helped me through a lot.

UMKC Counseling Services: what do users think?
Erica Green: For one no one is ever in the office, they will tell you to call but no one ever answers the phone or gets back to you when you leave a voicemail. If you schedule an in person you will not receive an email that reminds you that you have an appointment. So if you have depression, anxiety or if you are a busy college student you probably aren't going to remember that you scheduled an appointment two weeks ago or so, even if you write it down. I'd advice others to seek help at off campus counseling centers or seek help and comfort from friends.
Delilah Wylde: Student at UMKC.Their appointment policy is not clear, and not built for people with depression or anxiety. You have to show up 30mins early to your appointment or you can't be seen.If you miss an appointment you can set another one up for a month or two. Good luck fitting that into a working students schedule. They can do better.
Gerald Johnson: Great
