Jessica Stoffer: I’ve used them since before covid and they were great I could even call in prescribed meds to get refills. Since covid (2020), I’ve had to go back 3-5 times for meds that were finally ready and never called (basically driving back and forth). For medications that I or my son need I can no longer call in prescriptions and have never gotten a consistent answer. The lines are long no matter the time of day, and I’m tired of the multitude of excuses.

Hayden Baumgartner: DO NOT USE THIS PLACE. If I could put a half star I would. This is the worst pharmacy I have ever used. They don’t care about people trying to get medicine, they make no effort to help they’re customers. They’re always “short staffed” but they have between 5 and 7 people always working. They have given me the wrong MG in my prescription before. They have said they will fill my prescription and 3 hours later they hadn’t even started it. The call wait time will be over 45 min. And they might just hang up on you like they have done to me multiple times, to the point of having to driving to the store to just ask them to fill my prescription. IF YOU NEED YOUR MEDICATION THEN GO TO A DIFFERENT PHARMACY.

Julia Locascio: Recording states pick- up avaliable in 30 min. Called they stated they were backed up would ready in 2 hours. Sent family to pick- up, NOT ready. Called back two hours later, still not ready. Just dont say it will be ready then not follow threw so frustrated. Especially dealing with meds.Never, EVER using them again.

Sara LaMastres: If you enjoy being in line for your medications for 30+ minutes, then this is the pharmacy for you! Don't try to call them either. They also take way too long to fill medications, especially if they need to approve your refill with your doctor. I've now been without one of my meds for a week and am having very bad withdrawal symptoms, to the point I had to call an ambulance. Absolutely ridiculous. I've called my doctor and this Walgreens still hasn't even started to fill my medication. DO NOT GO HERE.

Wendy Woods: This location hasn't had enough staff for at least a year. I'm sitting in the drive thru. Got here at 12:20 with 3 cars in front of me. It is 12:45 and still 1 car in front of me. 2 stars because I like the employees. I'm just so tired of waiting so long for my prescriptions to be filled and while picking them up.

Jackske: Don't do pharmacy here. They'll ignore it until you call. And even then, they only give your Dr 2 days to respond while they had 2 weeks. Now I'm 3 weeks in without medication because 2 days was too long to wait for them (even though, like I said, they had 2 weeks) so now I have to suffer because of their negligence. Walgreens and CVS are horrible, and I hate that these are my only options. Half of these reviews have to be paid for, it really should be a 1.5.

Anyway, 45 min in the drive threw then once I get to the window the large woman said hold on then waddled away for another 10 min then I spy her cashing people out inside. What?! Won't be back

Hard to believe that this company and its employees are actually in charge of distributing life saving drugs to the public. We are doomed.

Dawn BurnettFerguson: Dropped off Rx for 8mo old grandson a little before 2pm. The pharmacist wouldnt even take the prescription until they came back from lunch. A 8 month old that has a sinus infection and a slight ear infection. They said would be done at 5:30 that eve. At 6:30 they still did not have them done. So the baby has to wait until they open up this morning So unprofessional!!

Nick Restivo: Not sure what the problem is with this location but it's very difficult to get any assistance. Placed a refill for a prescription on Friday. It is now the following Wednesday and it is still not ready. I have tried calling multiple times. The first time I was on hold on for 14 minutes before I had to hangup. I am currently on hold right now as I write this review and have been on hold for 28 min now. I've also tried the drive though where I waited 40 minutes to get within two spots of the window before I had to leave. I would avoid this location if possible.

Marie Verren: My last several prescriptions have DEFINITELY not been readied in a timely manner. The latest is an example: Saw the doctor mid-afternoon on Monday and an order was placed for a tube of medicine to heal a wound. This is Wednesday and the pharmacy still hasn't had a chance to "prepare" the 'script. Count to ONE, slap on a label, you're done, right? Why the delay? Again. The last prescription was equally complicated: count to One. I am not a happy customer. I do understand I'm not the only person waiting for a prescription, but 2+ days?! Does Walgreens in general, or this store in particular, need to get extra help hired? Or authorize overtime?

Caroline Milam: I have used Walgreens for my prescriptions for over 20 years. Since I moved to this area I switched to this location. Dissapointing is an understatement. Every time I come to pick up my medication there is a problem, and it's never their fault. I've even contacted corporate, but nothing has changed. They just cannot get their act together. Do youself a favor and use the one on 23rd and Lee's Summit. I used them for five years prior to making the mistake to switch to this location. I'm so put off by this store that I will most likely try an alltogether different company. Store staff is great though, and the store is nice and clean, and well stocked.

jason hale: I'm in the store probably more than I'm at my own house and I'm not the easiest person to deal with sometimes and if I have any problems they fix it they take my temper with a grain of salt 99.9% of the time they are dead on. The pharmacy customer service is absolutely amazing rock stars especially Carmen and Clara and there's one other girl I can't think of her name Connor does an amazing job and I couldn't be prouder and go deal with them if you have to have that experience I recommend it yeah I could give him 20 Stars I would but Google won't let me do that

Been going there for years & never seen the lady that unpleasantly greeted us today & don’t think she works there regularly but she was awful! My keen sense tells me she has problems/altercations with customers regularly! The job is focused on customer service & someone in the hiring department got this one all wrong!

I've missed procedures cause they haven't had anything ready that was ordered 14 days in advance. They're also are messing with people's health. People need their medicine. Especially when a procedure is having to be put off. Repeatedly. I even asked them to send to a different Walgreens. So I can have it filled instead of dealing with them. Said they transferred. Come to find out they still haven't done there job. They need to close the pharmacy down at this location. They are getting paid to sit on their hands. Or corporate who I've spoken with needs to do something. I've even had them close the curtain in my face while trying to figure out what's going on. Awful.

Erica Wright: Becky has been nice and is the only person I would even consider having customer service skills.I don’t know if they need more staff or better staff but I just moved to this area 6 months of so ago and the wait is always 20 minutes or more. In the drive thru or in person.They don’t pick up the phone and I will never have prescriptions sent here again. I have three times and it’s the same thing every time.I will just drive the 15-20 minutes to the linwood location or to the Lee summit location. They were very polite and went above and beyond to help me.I wouldn’t recommend this location for prescriptions unless you can wait 4 days like I had too with all of the confusion and “user errors.”I’m disappointed and hope someone helps them out here.

Amanda Barlow: Laziness and disrespectful. My room mate had ordered some stuff (6 items) it was confirmed by the store. The guy going to get it was 6min out and they told my room mate they had already locked the doors at 8:54pm. Your store DOES NOT CLOSE until 9PM. Get a brain. Don’t confirm someone’s order if you aren’t willing to wait for someone to come pick it up.

The first 20 years until 1997, the second store for 22 yearuntil I retired.BOTH, had instore pharmacies.This is the 2nd time I have used the Walgreens at 2261 S Sterling Ave, Independence, MO, Store #4236.Not my preferred pharmacy but one of the closest to my house. I used them earlier this summer, 2022, terrible service. I figured they were having a bad day or help called in sick.Today, 9/1/22, went to pick up Paxlovid, covid treatment pill. One person in ahead of me, and one to get covid immunization, different line. One Pharmacy tech on the phone, the other dong the ALL IMPORTANT drive up window. When window Girl, whom served 3 car, was finished she asked if she could help me. BTW window girls speed was a saunter at BEST!I told here NO, elderly man ahead of me had been waiting 15 minutes, help him. She took his name and went TO the drive up PC. Then a car drove up and she started serving THEM!! Two cars later I began talking to people in line, ask if always this bad? Wife of the elderly man in front of me said yes, a lot of the time, WOW, WOW WOW WOW!!!!! I waited about 3-5 more minutes for a total of near 25 minutes. Told the lady and her husband I am old school, which means common courtesy. Serve the customers as they get in line, IN store or out, everybody chuckled and agreed.THE PHONE AND DRIVE-UP ARE THE all that matters, right?The Tech on the phone NEVER stuck her head around the corner to check on ANYBODY, OR ANYTHINGAs turned and walk out, 5 people were in line behind me, I told them good luck!I told them all I had been in line for 20-25 minutes and NOT one single person had been served.Called my preferred Pharmacy 4 mile from my house, Hy-Vee they are transferring the script as I type this review. Ask theHy-Vee tech how much it cost me. 5 day treatment is about $530, LOL.OOPS sorry Walgreen you lose!I WILL NEVER step foot in another Walgreen, Don’t want to “chance” this EXTREMELY LOW levelof service ever again. If I could give them ½ a star I would. Oh and yes, EVERYBODY is short on help, so don’t talk to me about this issue.

Myco band: Scheduled covid test. Waited in line for 30 minutes. Finally got to front and they said I needed to get in lane 1 for that. The sign said both lanes open. Bad management and just stupidity and wasting my time. No reason they couldn't get my info and give me the materials for the covid test in lane 2 after waiting 30 minutes
