Robert Smith: I started using this pharmacy because it was a 24hr pharmacy and now with stupid hours I have to wait for opening time to pick up, I will have to transfer my scripts to another pharmacy now closer to home and they will just have to lose a customer. Good service but said my inhaler was discontinued but my doctor and hospital says it's not.

Tony Restivo (Tony2timez): Place is filthy. Can't use the pharmacy drive thru ever because the ancient telephone you have to use just to speak to them on the other side of the glass is broke (for quite some time now). Always so many people waiting because the service is extremely slow.
Peter Yang: The pharmacy here use to have pleasant customer service but the past few months, it took a huge dip. Went to pick up some meds for my husband and before paying, I told the tech that he recently got new insurance and is under my plan now. I presented them my card and she was gonna check. A few minutes later, another tech comes up full force and attitude and told me my husband does NOT have coverage through mine and it’s saying not valid. She also wanted to know what he was under mine - either dependent or spouse. I told her yes, he is covered under mine because I know he is and I checked prior. I presented the tech his card and I told her maybe it’s because his ID# ends in 2 and mine is 1. And she pouts and storms off to the back. A few moments later, my original tech comes back and tells me my updated total after insurance. Nobody apologized to me for the pharmacy tech’s attitude nor for coming full force on me and making me look like a clown for her mistake. I get being a tech isn’t easy and I’m also in the PBM field, you get the full force of people’s attitude but you don’t know me and I don’t know you. Do not take out your frustration that someone gave to you to me. Plus you made a mistake. Apologize, own it and take it as a learning opportunity to do better for the next customer. Also, my cashier was in a tshirt and shorts. When did pharmacy techs start dressing super casual?

BigPapa: I don’t know what happened, my CVS store has always treated me extremely well, and I guess I got spoiled. It would appear all it takes to lose your place in the family is one or two staffing changes. I always felt like I was treated like family. They knew me by my first name and appeared to care about my needs, from my first time walking into the store. Last few months haven’t been the same. There is a complete loss of empathy and it was very apparent today when I took my father to get his prescriptions filled following getting a cancer diagnosis. If they hadn’t been so worried about what they were doing for lunch for the 1.5 hrs before lunch, as we stood and waited our turn, they might have had a chance to get them ready. I’ve been a loyal CVS customer for years. I have just been floored as of late, sorely disappointed. Hopefully they find a way to return to the family atmosphere I, and I’m sure others, were used to.

Today I listened to one staff person lambast another staff member in front of a long line of customers. I couldn't tell what the argument was about, but it never should have happened in front of the customers. They are a mess and unfortunately, the closest pharmacy in my area. Tracy Johnson: CVS almost always have what I need and they are always on top of my prescriptions.Edit: They are NOT at all in tune with my prescription refills. I mean, good on them that they try their butts off, and it must be hard to try to keep up with everybody's meds all the time so props to them for that, but they were about to send me away without my depression meds OR a reasonable solution. After I left, I thought about solutions they should have had the patience to go over with me which are:Let me buy out of pocket just a few of my prescription to get me by until Medicaid would pay for it.2. Offer to let me buy them, but also help me to get them at a cheaper price via GoodRx or similar.This was the problem at hand: Medicaid said on the 10th they would not pay for my meds till the 12th. It was going to be tight, but if I got there early enough on the 12th I would have been ok. Fast forward to the 12th, now they tell me Medicaid won't pay for them till the 15th. Why? What happened between the 10th and the 12th that this is a thing AGAIN? Ok it's not CVS's problem, I get it. It's not them telling me I can't have them, sobeit. BUT a reasonable solution wouldn't have been the worst thing. Especially with someone who NEEDS their depression meds. Instead, he tells me I can go somewhere else to get them.

Jess Wolz: This store is horrible. My husband and I switched to this pharmacy after being with Walmart for years. Clearly that was a mistake. They not only are not helpful at all, they never answer their phone either. That goes for the front of the store and the pharmacy. This store seems extremely incompetent... I'll be switching again.

Mark Lyon: The store has always been more customer friendly than any of the others. We tried the one on the corner of Lee's summit and 23rd. That would be the East 23rd Street store and it was terrible way overcrowded. People are so overworked, they're angry. Especially one of the older women who works the window at the drive-in. I think she needs a vacation. It's for that reason that we went back to the West 23rd CVS location and from what I hear now CVS is thinking of closing that one down. From what I understand it's because they want to get these giant health hubs now instead of the old customer friendly drugstore where you can pick up prescriptions with a smile. Does CVS closest this location down you're losing one of the best locations ever for customer service. Kudos to the entire staff who works there. I hope you're not next on The chopping block....

Erinne Morgan: I literally only go to this location to do cash back transactions or to use the atm. Today I planned to use the atm but didn’t want to wait in line, so I chose to do a cash back transaction instead. I was not greeted although a representative was near the front of the store. She watched me grab a small piece of candy and head to the checkout station. There was a message in the beginning that said, “This machine is not excepting cash,” then asked if I wanted to continue. I rung up my piece of candy and selected my cashback amount then received an error message. When the representative came to the kiosk, she just stood there and stared at the machine. I informed her that the machine did not give me my cash and her reply was, “Did you not see the sign that said it wasn’t working?” I informed her that I read the part that says it is not excepting cash, however I wasn’t aware that meant it was not giving cash either. She calls for another individual that I’m guessing is the manager. When she got there she asked the same question, “Didn’t you see that it said it wasn’t working?” She gave me cash from the register then said, “Our money machine is broke; so from now on, know that the error message means it’s not excepting or giving cash back. I suggested they put a sign up so whoever attempts to do a transaction will know. The “manager” tells me that they are not allowed to put up paper signs, although there was a paper sign up yesterday because they closed early due to a staff shortage. She walked with me to the outside part of the store to go back-and-forth telling me how to interpret their error messages in the future. Now I understand that young folks don’t generally have the type of customer service needed in a business setting, however I’ve dealt with this individual before and it wasn’t a problem. They really need to be taught how to address customers properly and accept their share of the responsibility on behalf of the company.On a more positive note…they generally keep the store pretty clean and organized.

Kiera: I came into my appointment for a booster shot wearing a long-sleeve shirt because it’s 20 degrees outside. The pharmacist administering the shot made a snarky remark about how I “didn’t plan this very well” as I was rolling up my sleeve. God forbid he have to wait a few seconds. Miruna Radulescu: It took nearly two hours for me to get my prescription. The pharmacist was on the phone with insurance for over an hour to figure out why my insurance card wasn’t going through the CareMark system properly. She did her best, but I have zero desire to sit and wait inside a pharmacy for this long. I have been getting this prescription for the past 7 years and nothing like this has ever happened before.

April Parker: I've been filling prescriptions here for going on 6 years and I have watched the quality of customer service go down hill. Some of the people who work in the pharmacy are rude. Depending on who is working, they don't follow through on filling your prescription on time. I always see a new face at the window with a different attitude. No one in the pharmacy is pleasant anymore. No compassion or empathy. The woman working the drive thru wasn't helpful at all! If you don't I babysit them, you will not get your medicine on time. I guess I will find another pharmacy.
Beautiful Queen: This is the best CVS. They always contact the doctors to get your prescription filled. They always make sure that you are well taken care of. I give them 5+ stars.

Jason P: Surprised about the negative reviews. I left the CVS at 1315 W 23rd Street because their pharmacy was always an hour long wait even if you were next in line and they never answer the phone. This CVS is just better; it's bigger, things are spaced out more. It's cleaner. The people are more friendly. Just everything about it is better. Switched my pharmacy here and hoping the good luck continues..pharmacies are a PAIN right now.

Alyssa Graves: I got the Covid rapid test done on 12/29/2021 and I got told I would know the results in 30 minutes. Hours went by and I still didn’t receive my results, so I called and I got told I was positive but on my chart it didn’t show that and I also needed proof for my job. On my chart, It just showed my appointment and the time. So, I checked on my chart again today and it showed I missed my appointment. So, I called the minute clinic and the lady basically said she has no idea what is going on and why it shows that on my chart. Then, she began telling me it could take up to 24 hours to get my test results. (But it was a rapid, so that doesn’t make any sense) So, all they could do is retest me (which there is no availability). So moral of the story is, THEY DON’T KNOW WHAT THEY DID WITH MY TEST OR WHO THEY GAVE MY RESULTS TO☺️
Patrick Welch: The store as a whole is okay, a little understaffed, and they seem to have a high turnover rate. I’m real problem, and the reason I gave them one star is that pharmacy. My mother get a prescription there and they have is. I have since transferred that prescription elsewhere. Just tonight, my mom wanted me to pick up her prescriptions for her that she had ordered a couple hours prior. The pharmacist tells me that they’re not ready yet and that they might be ready later tonight or tomorrow. I asked if he could expedite since I was already there, in a condescending tone, he just repeated, later tonight or tomorrow. I could almost understand this if it had been busy, but it was completely dead that night.when people are depending on you to provide life saving medicines I’d expect a little more tact.
