First2 Watch: Dont order your online tag renewal from this location. They just let these orders sit around and dont fill them. If the state would audit this place they would no longer award them the dmv contract. This place needs to be monitored by the state.
Leanne Maynard: I was there today 5-1-2023. Mia was the only one working in new titles and title renewals. I felt sorry for her. She was 5 star and knew what she was doing, very fast and efficient. But I only gave 4 stars because she should not have been working alone on the 1st of the month, who is doing there schedules? I used to make a schedule for 85 employees, and knew how to schedule employees.
Dianna Gillespie: I have been there twice now waiting for a motor vehicle business and the motor vehicle window is extremely slow. The people working there are great it just seems like the motor vehicle window needs more help.
Cameron Woodward: I went in around 02/03/23 to file for reissued personal plates. The manager had to come out and assist, once she understood what had to be done. She had to call the state, no problem. This isn’t a normal situation they deal with. We get it all figured out and get the form filled out and says it will be sent off. I go in today 03/28/23 to see why my plates aren’t in yet. Ask for the manager as she helped initially, I explain why I’m back, she says she has never done reissue personal plate forms and has never done it. I explained step by step what she did and she wanted to get an attitude telling me I was wrong and to show her the paperwork from last time. I never received paperwork back cause they were supposed to mail it to the state. Then wants to continue with this attitude and be just rude and ignorant about it. Then wants to inform me she would never “do paperwork that needs to be sent to the state”. So it was a lost cause. I went to Sugar Creek office, got everything done and got the correct information and forms and already have it sent off. I DO NOT recommend this DMV as they all have ugly attitudes and will have people waiting for hours and hours while they just sit there. If you need a DMV. Go to Sugar Creek. Save yourself the headache and frustration!

Reka Hopkins: Drivers Exam! avoid this place. All of them or lazy in that place. The Spanish lady can barely speak English and the old white lady with Curley hair that work mornings is very rude and racists. She will not pass you unless your young or white. They will intentionally fail you even before you take the test they already made they decision. There’s not 1 man working there all women with attitudes and rude! It’s only one white lady there that’s very nice and polite she’s tall and she have dark straight hair. The others act very childish and they be talking about people and laughing at them. Intentionally find something to fail you. Be cautious they will fail you for another driver jumping in front of you and you having to come to a quick stop almost having accident, but the driver taking the test they will fail for other peoples mistakes! Rude, rude, disrespectful. If I could give 0 stars I would.

Mary Ross: The young lady always helping at the License desk is very rude! I came in back on 11/5 to update my name. And still have not received my new license. Went in today, to see if something happened to why my license hasn’t come. She looks at me all hateful like and with the most condescending tone said, “this was just processed on the 29th, you have to give it time.” I was like I was here weeks ago,, and was told it would take just a couple of weeks to receive it in the mail. The temporary ID states if you do not receive your ID within 30 days to call a certain number! Well honey my 30 days is in 2 days.. so you might want to check your attitude towards others when I should be concerned that my license hasn’t come yet! I came in all nice.. but no reason to give me attitude when I did nothing wrong ( I don’t want to be there and you make it obvious you don’t want to either) . Seems like you didn’t do your job and send it in when I first came . But thank you!

John Martin: Had my drivers license renewed in early March and opted to get a Real ID license. Brought all the required documents and was issued my temporary. The actual license never arrived by mail and Jeff City DOR said I needed to go back to the DMV and they would issue a replacement. Not so! The manager said that they needed all the documents again even though I presented the temporary they issued based on verification of my documents. When I then said just do a regular license their response was that I had to wait for my first temporary to expire before they would issue a new one! The manager clarified that they could do it the day before. She blamed the confusion on her employee being new and inexperienced.Bad customer service from beginning to end including bad info from Jeff City. No wonder people would rather get a root canal or vasectomy than go to the DMV!

Kynyada McGee: Let's start by saying the wait time in the afternoon is still over an hour. 😔 The greeter checking documents is very helpful & efficient. However, the newer (long hair/ younger one on the end) clerk that I had at the very end was VERY rude. She was slow, rude, unpleasant, unprofessional, & incompetent. How about I was dealing with her for over 30-35 min to get my car registered when I had everything that was needed. I'm not sure if she didn't comprehend the total loss break down paperwork or what, but home girl needs more training. Literally the closest clerk to us helped 4 people & she still was taking forever. I asked her a question about the pricing and she slapped the receipt paper down saying here's the break down. She's not computer savvy either. It's best if she gets retrained and a major attitude adjustment when dealing with the public. If she don't like public interaction, GET ANOTHER JOB‼️‼️‼️

Jeremy Dunaway: The ladies I dealt with here could not have been more rude. They just wanted to turn us away immediately, not taking the time to actually understand what we were saying. They told us we didn’t have the correct forms and tried to send us away. Upon ACTUALLY LOOKING at what we had, turns out we did have the proper documents. They then proceeded to VERY reluctantly help us, with an attitude the whole time. I will drive miles out of my way to NEVER step foot in that office again!

M.R. Crosson: Purchased a car from CarMax in Merriam two weeks ago and went to register my new car this morning. The Raytown DMV clerk told me I’d need to get a power of attorney from the guy in New Mexico who’d sold the car to CarMax two months ago. She also told me I needed a notarized form from Allstate for some reason. Before I embarked on a ridiculous quest to get legal forms from a stranger 2000 miles away, I figured I’d give the DMV on Cleaver Blvd a shot. Lo and behold, the clerk there congratulated me on having all my paperwork, helped me transfer my previous plates for a full two-year registration period, got me in and out in under 5 minutes, and even waived the normal $100 limit to hand me $110 cash that CarMax had overpaid on taxes. Lesson learned — I’m never going back to Raytown.

FatKat MOTO: Before COVID this was the best place then Independence. However. Re opened and a bit slow. However, getting checked in and finding out you are missing items/paperwork is better by not sitting around and wasting your time once you get to your turn and realizing it.

Go between 9 am and 4:30 PM you'll be fine. Other wise you risk them being closed or turning you away. They are closed sat and sun despite listed hours.

Paden Fackrell (r3dark): Fast easy the folks over there were extremely helpful.If your a first time car buyer you have to go to the courthouse and get a waver. Only catch is you have to get the q less app on the app store to get a ticket to save your place in line. Location does not use pysical tickets. Only the dmv uses tickets. to even be served at the courthouse. Requires reserving 4 to 5 hours in advance be warned ⚠️. Once you have proof that you don't have any taxes owed for MO, then you can go get your plates. Requires lisence registration and title and documents from the courthouse if a first time car buyer in mo.

Michelle Brockington: This place needs to be closed down, the lady charged me 98.00 the first time 77.00 the second time and I kept getting letters from the DMV saying that my money and application went to history, so i had to go back, this time i went to raytown, raytown said 47th street messed my license up, the lady voided my CDL with passenger took it to the police station they say no its Vailed and 47th st should have never voided them out, i was told to ask for a refund letter and they said they don't carry them though all offices are supposed to have them, i was also charged 68.00 i gave the lady 80.00 she gave me 4.00 back, i told the old guy they was stealing money and he forced me out of the office so i had to go back to get the s endorsement and she didn't charge me at all, they need to investigate this place not only are they taking money from ppl but they are messing our license up just so you'll have to go back just to be charged again, i will not recommend this office at all, ill be requesting a refund for money i was forced to pay though it kept going to history not knowing that i had to hold a permit for my S endorsement for two weeks, they need to tell ppl that so we wont keep coming back and getting recharged, i want my monyback or im filing a claim.

Kevin Craig: Don’t trust the sign in technology. Confirm it actually takes you name not just says it takes your name and gives you a ticket number. It did not take ours and they had to manually enter everyone this morning.
