Jennie Haskett: The most incompetent group of ‘customer service reps’ I’ve ever encountered. Any chance they get to pass the buck, they will. I’m not even really sure they help anyone, but they do like to transfer you around—a lot. I had to call 3 different times to tell them cancel my auto ship because they kept sending me supplies. Every single person I spoke to said they just “didn’t know why it didn’t get completed, I see you called and requested this”. I would love to know also. I sent the items back thinking this was resolved, now I’m getting a bill for them— a year later. You’ll think you’re making some sort of headway but really they’re just leaving you on hold hoping that you hang up. Rude, unhelpful, scam of a company sending fraudulent invoices to my insurance company when I’ve blatantly asked them to stop sending me stuff. Honestly I’m not even sure how they’re still filling this when I haven’t used this stuff in years. Avoid this company at all costs because it will end up costing you in the end.
Stephanie Hershey: They just posted a payment to my debit card, for over $600 dollars…. That they couldn’t even explain to me! The lady said “oh it has to do with insurance so it’s hard to explain it. You’ll have to dispute that charge through your bank.” Done. No explanation to a charge? please.
Chrisina Sogas: This is a terrible company would not recommend. I was to have someone come out to my home to release the water reservoir but they never called to schedule appointment. I attempted at least three times but never got back with me.Also, I always have issues obtaining a copy of an itemized statement. They always say it will take 10 to15 days to have it mailed but it has been a month. This is needed for my FSA. They never answer their phone when one tries to contact them again or if they do answer they will hang up. This is the worst company do not recommend!!!!
Laura Remy: They put my husband on 90-day supplies even after we declined rotation. Then they extracted money from his bank account twice even after we called to get off the supply rotation and asked for return shipping labels. They are bullies. There are no other suppliers and they abuse their monopoly. Extracting money from bank account even after told to stop sending supplies is elder abuse. Who oversees this company?
Laine Blanton: I was hesitant to set up an appointment based on published reviews. I held my breath and followed through to be pleasantly surprised! I had very little wait time. Kellie was experienced and thoughtful. She was organized with CPAP equipment, options, fitting equipment to my personal needs, fees and answered every question without making me feel rushed. I came home with a complete packet containing all the information I need including all the contact information. I'm glad I followed through and look forward to a continuing relationship with Medical West!

Been trying to get a CPAP for months, no one will call you back when they say they will, always transferring you to someone else who has no idea what is going on. Communication with in the company is non-existent. The only reason they are in business is because this is who the insurance will pay for. IF you have a choice DO NOT choose this. They are a nightmare!!!
Casey Myers: I have only had my CPAP machine for about 6 weeks. Just non commutation between staff, not knowing policies and slow. It took weeks to get my machine. I had to call and follow up three times. When I arrived for my sitting, they left me sitting in the lobby for 45 minutes. A nice lady came out, she was knowledgeable and knew her job, so that is a plus. But she also said "Oh, no one told me you were here waiting."Wanted to get a different mask, said someone would call me within 48 hours to come in for a new fitting, it's been 6 days. I should have looked at the google reviews before choosing this company, but this is who my doctor's office suggested.

Now Not only is it very difficult to get someone to return a service call but when they do send someone is it an inexperienced rude person who doesn't know how to fix anything.

Seth Johnson: If you need supplies for your CPAP this company is horrible. I've been trying to order supplies from them for 8 months now and they never call back when they promise. Claim that they can't send them because I've already ordered them recently which I haven't. How they stay in business is hard to understand with how poor their customer service is.

Mal: This place supplies my mother with her breathing equipment. We have been pleased with their customer service and with their response to our inquiries. It's never been difficult to get a person on the phone when we call. And employees have made multiple trips to our house for issues as they arise.

Mark Lee: The receptionist I spoke with on the phone has a harsh and condescending tone, and she is rendered immediately defensive by any question asked of her. This was an extremely unhelpful conversation, and she repeatedly told me there was no one else available to speak with me. This was yet another failed attempt to understand where I am in the process. Additionally, it was upsetting and very unhelpful. I will urge my physician to use another supply source.

This is ridiculous when the item was in stock on the floor and hasn't been used yet. I could understand a fee if it was special ordered but not something that was in stock and on the floor. Won't use them ever again.

He is a great representative for Mobility First. Jason is very knowledgeable, caring and compassionate. Any time I had a question, I would call him and I always received an immediate response. The nice lady working recommended a similar mask. With no other option, I bought the different model. I am very pleased to report the new mask is so much better than my old mask. I think I literally called almost every medical supply store and kept getting told "we don't have anything we can rent you to help you-sorry....good luck!". I wish I could remember the name of the guy I talked to who handled this for me...he was at the northland location, and hooked me up with this location for the pick up---a hoyer lift with a scale attached. Works like a charm. Perfect solution.

Perry Clark: Had a superb experience at this store recently. I went in order to purchase a walking boot, having suffered a foot injury. The gentleman who helped me was polite, obviously knowledgeable, did not try to upsell, and worked well with me in identifying and meeting wants and needs. I left wearing a walking boot that I am sure will do all such a device can do to help me recover from my injury, and pleased with having had such excellent customer service. I will strongly recommend this store to others, and will very likely return should I need home medical supplies in the future. I’m sure I could have bought the boot on Amazon, but Amazon, try as they may, can never begin to meet, let alone better, the customer service of a knowledgeable person doing the job mask-to-mask, and properly distanced, as it were.
OPKS OPKS: Mr. Lewis, the owner of Kansas City Medical Supply, provided stellar service and extensive product knowledge as he fitted my elderly parents to the lift chairs that were ideal for their respective sizes and heights! His medical background was apparent during our search. He took ample time explaining the workings of these chairs, their benefits, and the importance of matching them to each individual to achieve maximum comfort and health benefits. The respectful, unhurried customer care was very much appreciated, as was the professionalism and courtesy of support staff...in particular the exemplary manner in which the delivery of the chair was executed and the courtesy, patience, and helpfulness of the delivery associate! I recommend this store fully, and without reservation. We will be returning with enthusiasm. Thank you, KCHMS!!!

Went to return it and discovered they had a 14 day return policy and after the 14 days there is a 20% restocking fee. Like it's harder to hang it back up on the peg after two weeks? Ridiculous. I had no opportunity to return it sooner, or I would have. Won't shop there again.

I've been working with Teri at the Barry Road location, and believe me, you won't find anyone better. She is the most caring, supportive person and does everything to get you what you need. I've also worked with Linda at the Independence location, as well as Ed, the owner. Everyone here is just fantastic and goes out of their way to help you in any situation. I don't think you will find a better company or a better staff! Thank you KC Home Medical Supply, and especially Teri, for all you've done to help me and my mother.

They could've said "no, sorry, we don't," but instead they walked away from her mumbling epitaphs! They will be last on our list when we need medical equipment! Wife reports that no one was pleasant to her the whole time she was in the store.

Elisa S.: I had a disturbing experience with this business. I ordered two “new” Drive Medical home hospital beds at a cost of over $2,000. When the delivery arrived the next day, the driver unloaded the beds parts onto a cart and brought them to the front door of my home. I found it strange that the bed parts were not in the factory boxes as I watched them get unloaded from a van. After I pointed out that the casters on one of the beds were severely dirty and appeared to have been rolled around on a rough surface, the driver agreed to order new casters, swearing that he unpacked the beds from factory boxes before departure. As I observed him attempting to assemble the first bed, I noticed numerous dents and scratches on the frame and tubing. Similarly, the headboard and footboard had scuff marks. When I pointed this out as unsatisfactory, the driver agreed the bed didn't look like a new bed and apologized. He then removed it and brought in the second bed. Same thing, dents and scratches all over the frame parts. The electronics for both beds were in another open box that didn't match the part number of what I ordered. I also declined to accept the second bed. The driver then made a sales pitch that “new” Medline beds were in stock at a cheaper price. But when I spoke with the sales agent, she demanded the same price. So I requested a refund and my money was returned. I paid hundreds of dollars more than I could have purchased these beds for online to deal with a local business because they promised quickly delivered new items and this is how the transaction went down.
T B: Brandy there her bedside manner is awesome. she was patient listened to me I went one other place before I came here they seemed to be higher. This place was a tad cheaper. Better selection of products. I needed something now vs waiting for online because my dad is argumentative not wanting to give up his independence everything is i can do it on my own or i don’t need that when he in fact does. Brandy help me figure out what I can try and gave me suggestions to call because i am new to this aging parent thing. Her customer service skills alone sold me. When its my moms turn I will come here they have my business for life and will refer everyone here!

Julie J.: My Dad has a condition which caused a rapid decline in mobility, was told by numerous hospital social workers to place him in a facility, I'm so thankful to Brandi and Heath, both have made it possible and affordable to keep my dad in his home with the proper equipment he needs, hoyer lift, hospital bed, lift chair, commode, transport chair, etc. They have gone above and beyond to help with certain requests my dads condition caused us to face, always helpful and knowledgeable and have also listened as a friend when I needed some cheering up due to what we're facing with my dad. This is a great company with excellent customer service, very special and caring staff. A+++++

Several other places wanted $400 instead of $250, at Home Medical as low a price as I saw on the internet, Last fall, purchased a Drive full electric bed, with an upgraded theraeutic zone mayress, again for a reasonable price comaranle to the lowest on the internet The bed was was needed for GERD, a slow enptying stomach and breathing difficulty sleeping on a Flat surface. Service was always courteous. Great sleeping since then Just spent a week in hosital and couldn't get comfortable in their bed. First decent sleep when I came home Excellent equipment, service and prices.
Kim Day: My husband had surgery and he needed several things. 1st we got these pads to put on the crutches so they were soft under his arms and hands. Then he needed a stool for the shower and also a bar to hold onto while getting into the tub. I so appreciate the service I received as it seems like customer service is gone in America. Brandi helped me to get what I really needed and my husband is so happy to be able to take a shower without worries of getting hurt getting in and out of the bathtub/shower. I've never dealt with a medical place but I would highly recommend this place if you need anything for your home. They are making his recovery a whole lot easier. I never would have thought of any of this was possible but thank you to this young lady she is making his recovery a better experience. Thank you!. We are certainly satisfied with this company and their service.

But, the codes for their system weren't proper. That was day 2.Day 3, after promising to have it ready and possibly deliver it to our home, nothing until my wife called them around 1pm. Nothing still. Didn't get it. Our insurance company said they'd approved it and we were good to go.Day 4, no call or anything in the morning. Finally called another place over in Independence and they called back 20 minutes later to tell us it was ready for us to come pick up.Guess it's not really that hard huh?

Lisa Pycior: Kansas City Home Medical Supply is the only full-service home medical equipment store in Lee's Summit. When I moved my mother to town and she had special needs, I was there at least weekly. I was able to get everything she needed. And I got the best recliner and side table to make her comfortable in her home.
Reeve yew: Overpriced medical equipment with ridiculous markups. The man who was working acknowledged me as he helped other customers. He asked if I wanted reading material and I told him I'd wait until he was finished. After he was finished with the customers he made a phone call then went into the back of the store. He never came back out so I left. Rough customer service you will have better luck going somewhere else.
Connie Trotter: Have bought two things from this crusty, hateful man who runs the place. Left today because the Core Spun compression socks are $10 more per pair than the same socks I got for $20 when Hen House Pharmacy carried them two weeks ago!. Was continually reminded at 9:30 am that he was not open yet, however his door was unlocked! Two weeks ago I bought a bed tray on wheels for my husband and paid over $100. He was very busy because he is the only medical supply place in JoCo who is open on Saturday. A year ago, I called trying to find a part for my husband's CPAP and he said he was doing bookwork and was not open but I could come for the part. As soon as he rang up the purchase, he reminded me he was not open and I could not look around! I will never go there again. He may be knowledgeable but he is a hateful old man who should not be dealing with the public. My favorite supplier is American Home Medical at 75th & Antioch. They are not open on weekends. Wonderful owner and helpful staff. Returned an emergency call when my husband's CPAP needed a part! The owner called me on a Saturday night after hearing my need! He special ordered the part and had it overnights. This from a man who was not open for business either. Totally different men who serve the public! I will never go back to 95th & Nall ever again.
Nancy Pfromm: I have purchased several items for my mother in this store and the gentleman seems very knowledgeable, friendly and has excellent customer service skills! I definitely will continue to shop here for my mother's supplies! We sent mother's aide to buy supplies here and she also said she had a very good experience.
