Midwest Oncology Associates - a part of the Sarah Cannon Cancer Institute at Centerpoint Medical Cen: what do users think?
Karissa Burton: Staff is great. Friendly, rarely have to wait. Would definitely recommend. Takes the time to sit & explain things. Always giving me information on my condition. Definitely warm & caring environment.
charlotte youtsey: It seems most reviews are negative thats too bad I have only had good experiences I was diagnosed in August of 2018 within a week I was in treatment I am alive now thanks to the wonderful doctors and nurses at Sarah Cannon center.
Robin Petty: I am receiving a bill from 11/2022 that states the facility of Bates County Memorial hospital. 1st off, I have not seen a Dr in 2 years. 2nd, I do not know where Bates County Memorial hospital is. 3rd, I do not have cancer to my knowledge. Trying to call and get answers is reddiculous. You can't get any numbers to call. Would love to get this cleared up. They are threatening collections...Thanks!
Wanda MNesia: Technologically is behind time. Communication is terrible.
kevin ring: They seem to have a bunch of misdiagnosed patients. Be careful who you trust your life with. Even our medical centers can be in it just for the money.
dawnesa williams: Very Disappointed. As a family new to the cancer center we were told my husband's blood work would be in in 2 weeks, it's been 2 weeks and now we are told it will be another 2 weeks. We were given instructions to contact Dr Rokkom if any concerns after bone marrow biopsy. We have had plenty of concerns and tried addressing them, when in turn, my husband was told by Dr. Rokkom he was "annoying" her staff. Horrible and unprofessional thing to say to someone who feels left in the dark by their doctor.
That One Guy: Horrible doctor. Very uncompasionate. Hard to get ahold of. Didn't prescribe anything. Gave me the wrong test to take home. This place knows I'm sick but they're not really doing anything. I'm just sitting at home in pain slowly dying. Honestly this is the worst doctor I've ever dealt with. They don't care at all. EDIT: notice how the response doesn't actually do anything for me. Not even a phone number to call and voice my concerns. Patient satisfaction is so important to them that but they're not actually doing anything for the patient. They even called to let me know that the staff was getting annoyed with me. That doesn't sound like they care about patient satisfaction to me!
Linda McCarty: I have been receiving treatment here for 9 plus years. Dr. Rokkam is like a pit bull when you are her patient. She fights for you and doesn't let you give up. Aiesha is always helpful. All of the nurses are great. Front desk staff have always gone above and beyond. Love my peeps here. And appreciate them.
Dennis Edwards: Staff, doctors, and nurses all very professional, courteous, and friendly
Autum Hood: I've been receiving care here for almost 7yrs. The nurses previously have always been responsive and helpful. However in the last 2 yrs, I have seen a drastic change and did have to transfer to different doctor. I left messages in April on 3 different days, giving the nurses 24hrs between calls. After 2 weeks of no return call, I transferred to a new doctor. On June 29th, a nurse called me asking about a record request. I stated I had called 3 times in April with no return call. The nurse never addressed that and moved past it quickly, no apology or concern. She asked another question about my treatment and I ask again if she realized it has been almost 3 months since I left my message. She again ignored it. Luckily, I was able to advocate for myself and find another doctor, but I would hate to imagine what would happen to someone who couldn't.
Beverly West: My experience with them has been good so far.
Sherri Begulia: The doctors and nurses are absolutely wonderful. Treated me very kindly and with much respect. Love these people!!
Kayla Obryan: Nurses are sweet but this place from the get go saw two spots in my fathers lungs they treated his throat cancer and just wanted watch the nodules an the did over a course of 9 MONTHS an then tell us they are to big to do anything an he was terminal! 9 MONTHS OF WATCHING THOSE NODULES GROW!!!!! THEY DID NOTHING!!!!!
Paula Nichelson: Don the Navigator and Do rokkom the oncologist and the nurses. We're all great had plenty of time to answer questions made you feel important. Made it easy to do all your treatments and keep all your appointments. We highly recommend
Dalila Harris: I love the Sarah Cannon Cancer Center!!!! All of the staff made it a point to pronounce my name right, and actually get to know me and my story. My Dr is amazing, love her!!! (Dr. Rokkam) and I get the best treatment along with great hugs!!!! I even appreciate David, the volunteer, who always make sure you're taken good care of. And some of the sweetest nurses in the world!!!! Thank you Sarah Cannon!!!
Barb Heizman: I brought records from St Lukes East, hoping SC Cancer Ctr could help me. Boy did they drop the ball!! Two tumors suspect of cancer, but they only biopsied one. But this doesn't stop the phone from ringing.I told one assoc to stop calling, and they have someone else hungry.Imagine being swarmed by vultures. That's what it feels like.
Barba Osburn: I cannot say enough how greatful I am for the ladies here. He doctors, the oncologist navigators. My mom was diagnosed in March and this place has been pretty much a second home. These ladies have made sure my mom was comfortable while here. They treat ever patient as of they was family. Always bringing in a warm smile and show so much empathy. I truly appreciate the staff here.Thank you Ladies (and gents) so much for all that you do!-Barbie

Dr. Robert L. Talley: what do users think?
Glash tin: Doctor send a bill to collections 20 days after date of service and I paid 35 days from date of service. Did not get the collections bill until Jun 7th. I have called many, many people trying to get this figured out since I do not owe them money. No one is able to provide proof I owe them. I provided a cancel check to them that they cashed and still they are refusing to accept that as payment.Avoid this doctor!
Summer Kline: Most compassionate, caring, smart Doctor I have ever had the pleasure of meeting. I've had to see a lot of specialists to find out what was wrong. He put in a lot of his personal extra time to contact my other Dr's to talk about possible causes of my unusual symptoms. Not arrogant. Not mean. Great bedside manner, professional, caring, smart, and goes out of his way to figure things out that are not normal or common. Highly recommend. He believed me when I told him something wasn't right when many other specialists were adamant that I was Okay. I finally got a diagnosis after 3 years of searching and he played a huge supportive role in this.
Lloyd Slaght: After having 14 inches of my colon removed I was referred to Dr. Talley for follow up for 3 years. He was easy to talk to, and he explained very well what he was doing. He explained how a certain blood test done each year would indicated whether I was staying cancer free. The blood test was done in his office, and each year it came back negative, so he explained that we were past the critical time, and that I would not need to keep seeing him. I found him to be very compassionate and concerned that if cancer returned we would want to catch in in time. In addition every person on his office staff were very helpful, friendly and competent.
Kellie Napier: Do not see this so called doctor. He basically killed my dad. He let go suffer from his cancer because he did know how to treat him. My dad starved to death when he could have lived a lot longer if this doctor would have helped him and tried harder. Do not put your loved ones lives in his hands please.

Centerpoint Ambulatory Surgery Center: what do users think?
Dawn Ridout: I am so happy I chose to come here. I had Naomi for my pre-op and Penny for my post-op care. The were both fantastic! They were very attentive! Penny went as far to make sure I was pain free before leaving, she had the anesthesiologist come back to redo my block since the 1st one (before surgery) didn't work. The anesthesiologist was great and came back to redo the block...he felt horrible thar it didn't work the first time. This place was awesome!
Danell Johnson: I would like to thank everyone at the surgery center so much for all their kindness. I am very nervous in situations like these and this staff is so Awesome! Thank you to Donna, Emily Leslie, Betty, Shana, Dr. Ramirez and Dr. Namin for all that you do! It really means a lot to me :)
Jim Melloway: Very friendly and excellent care
maalru: I was there for back surgery. I am very happy I chose this hospital. Each and every nurse, and person that cared for me was amazing. I felt very cared for and everyone was so nice, helpful and did an amazing job! Highly recommend.I can't thank each and everyone of them enough!! Thank you! Truly thank you!!
Ken Hupp: I had previously gave CAS a bad rating for a billing issue and not returning my messages. Well, someone got wind of the bad review and called me to help rectify the situation. They then processed, the bill correctly. The health care system in general is not my favorite and I am sure I was reflecting my anxiety with health care in general in my previous review. They made it right 4 stars for billing 5 stars of course for the wonderful nurses.
Patricia Benavides: I should give them 0 starts. I have scheduled an appointment for a procedure, one day before I received a phone call stating that I need to bring with me $ 830.00 to pay for it, I told the person that I can't pay the full amount, I said maybe a percentage and I will send the remaining balance later on. I was suggested to apply for a Credit Card and if the application is rejected I can pay 25% in front. That's is very sad. My insurance will pay the majority of the procedure. Why they don't show some sympathy for someone who needs help. I ended up canceling my appointment, hopefully my problem won't get worse until I find a different way to have it done. I have gone to different hospitals and they never ask for big amounts of money, very disappointed.
A Wolfe: I've had multiple surgical procedures over the past 12 months, but this was my first time at Centerpoint and with Dr. Shaw. I am so thankful for each person I met during this process. Every single person listened to me, which was evident in the specific questions they asked. Most of my experiences at other places have not been this way. From check in to check out, each person I encountered remained professional, yet were very compassionate and great at their job. I can't thank them enough for how they treated and cared for me.I would feel confident recommending Dr Shaw and the team I had at Centerpoint Ambulatory Surgery Center today. Thank you again.
J C: My experience with Centerpoint ambulatory surgery center was excellent. From check in to post op the staff was awesome. Nurses were outstanding, professional and caring they explained everything clearly, performed double checks and made sure I was comfortable.I would definitely come back.
Scott Tidd: I have now had 8 surgeries and a colonoscopy done at Centerpoint.I think they did great every time!Very friendly and I was at ease each time.I also had great outcomes with no post surgical complications.
Lauren Cunningham: Should be zero stars. Had to go to this surgery center instead of our normal one because it was a last minute surgery and this was the only available location for the doctor group. They told us last minute that there would be an $1,100 surgery center fee that was separate from our insurance, had nothing to do with the surgery cost itself. Horrible way to pray on those who are vulnerable. We refused the surgery. Other surgery centers I have been to have never asked for money like that. This should be illegal.
Stephanie Allen: If I could rate as 0 I would. Horrible personable treatment of patients. Just a number and $ sign absolutely disgusting treatmen . I wouldn't take my pets here
Doug B: This was place is top notch. All the nurses that took care of me were competent, professional, and super friendly. The anesthesiologists were great. Everyone seemed to be getting along well which made it less stressful for me. Dr Hummel is the best. So yeah, 5 stars!!
Tedina Mayfield: I would give this surgery center zero stars. Had a procedure scheduled for approximately 3 wks, when I arrived I was told my procedure had been canceled and when I ask by who I was told she didn't know. The Dr's nurse said it was canceled by the surgery center. They should have called me and let me know.

Centerpoint Medical Center: what do users think?
Rebecca Chappell: Since I am claustrophobic I dreaded getting an MRI, especially since I previously had a bad experience with one. It was my good fortune to have Anna as my technician this time around. She made a world of difference in the way she handled the process from beginning to end. She kept me informed of each step, encouraged me and showed sincere empathy for me, the patient. Thank you Anna!
michael c: Received outstanding care in the ER for hand laceration despite a packed ER. Jenn, NP stitched me back together with steady hands and Bianca, RN were both rock stars in providing care. 5 ⭐️ . Thank you again.
Arquetta Fell: My experience for 7 days with the Icu and hospices staff was Amazing regarding my mother.
V Martin: It was great. No issues.
Jennifer Nichols: It was better then I thought it would be, but, I feel like I wasn't really even treated I saw one person when i was checked in just to sit in a chair and get x-rays no one really evaluated my injury I saw mainly a nurse. I mean the staff where very nice from what time I did see them, bit it sure didn't feel like I was receiving any kind of care.
Katie Conyers: The only reason I'm giving a two star rating instead of a one star is because the nurse practitioner and final nurse of my visit did seem to care and want to provide help.I was in the ER for over 8 hours for severe abdominal/ovary pain. In that time, I never was moved to a room. After I went through triage, they moved me into another waiting area full of other post-triage patients. Not only was it incredibly uncomfortable, especially already being in abdominal pain, but there was no sense of privacy. Any and all information from registration to medical news, was given in front of everyone in the waiting hallway.I needed to have a CT scan to try to determine the cause for my pain. I got the scan in a timely manner, but then proceeded to sit there for over 3 hours before a nurse finally decided to investigate why they hadn't heard anything. Apparently someone had forgotten to submit my results resulting in the lengthy delay. At the time of triage the nurse practitioner said she wanted to start me on an IV of fluids and Zofran. Once I was finally called back to see the NP about 4 hours later, she wanted to know if I was feeling better after the meds. That was the first opportunity I had to mention to anyone that I never received the meds she prescribed FOUR HOURS EARLIER. No one came to check on me in the waiting hallway once the entire time I was there. My final complaint is about the "paramedic" that did my blood draw and put the the IV port in. She was so busy talking with a coworker about when she was going to be off and what she was going to do that she could hardly give me time of day. She roughly stabbed the needle and then proceeded to have to dig around trying to hit the vein. I don't have scientific proof, just the opinion from a physician at another ER that I had to go to a week later, that the rough injection has now caused a superficial blood clot in that arm.
Donetta Moore: As always, very caring and kind people
Natress KELLEY: As usual, good patient service.
Isaiah Mitchell: This place is not good
Brenda Tillery: Competent and efficient staff in Emergency Room & Radiology.
Maya Dotson: The medical staff are friendly but this last visit I felt when being discharged I was being brushed off/ hurried to get me out. Nothing was explained regarding results from my ultrasound/ x-ray. Just shown results were in my discharge folder. I had to ask what to do about my swelling behind my knee. At this point I'm dissatisfied with Center Medical Center as a whole including their ortho doctors. I will be seeking care in St. Louis I know I will get the proper care there. I will say the ER follow up scheduling department has been great trying to help me schedule follow up appointment.
Vicky Combs: In my most recent experience there on May 16, 2023 the level of incompetence in the clinic where I was sent for my procedure was down right dangerous! I will never go to Centerpoint again, am in the process of having all my doctors changed to the KU system, and will be happy to explain in great detail why the situation at Centerpoint was so dangerous to anyone seeking the information.
Mike Smith: My visit was just fine everyone working there really helped me and I am feeling much better now
John Dold: The doctors and nurses were wonderful. The Physical Therapistswere great. Very very happy with the care I received.
Ellen Jackson: Staff was great. Procedure was easy and technician and nurses were awesomeThanks for taking such good care of me while I go through treatment. God bless you all
Mike Wheeler: Professional always
Norman Roy: Every time we have used Centerpoint Medical Center... the care has been outstanding. I can not praise their efficiency, professionalism and kindness enough.
Kelly: I spent 5 days in ICU From May 21st.2023 to May 26th. 2023. The Nurses, Doctors, Physical therapy was all nice, respectful, care giving people. They save my life. They were all excellent.. Thank you, Kelly Anschultz
Lisa Parker: Nursing/techs were amazing. 6th floor took awesome care of me! Caitlynn, Jonna, and Sam were amazing.
Robbie Cairns: Very poor experience for me... unqualified people working in the emergency room...
Sally Clarkson: They were all real efficient and real nice, it didn't take long to get my shot.
