Centerpoint Medical Center: what do users think?
Barton and Lucinda Bedwell: Everyone was caring and compassionate.
Peggy Accomando: The nuses were very kind and helpful, I had my knee replaced they got me up right away ,I thought it would hurt alot but it didn't. I would go there for anything in the future
Rebecca Chappell: Since I am claustrophobic I dreaded getting an MRI, especially since I previously had a bad experience with one. It was my good fortune to have Anna as my technician this time around. She made a world of difference in the way she handled the process from beginning to end. She kept me informed of each step, encouraged me and showed sincere empathy for me, the patient. Thank you Anna!
michael c: Received outstanding care in the ER for hand laceration despite a packed ER. Jenn, NP stitched me back together with steady hands and Bianca, RN were both rock stars in providing care. 5 ⭐️ . Thank you again.
Arquetta Fell: My experience for 7 days with the Icu and hospices staff was Amazing regarding my mother.
V Martin: It was great. No issues.
Jennifer Nichols: It was better then I thought it would be, but, I feel like I wasn't really even treated I saw one person when i was checked in just to sit in a chair and get x-rays no one really evaluated my injury I saw mainly a nurse. I mean the staff where very nice from what time I did see them, bit it sure didn't feel like I was receiving any kind of care.
Katie Conyers: The only reason I'm giving a two star rating instead of a one star is because the nurse practitioner and final nurse of my visit did seem to care and want to provide help.I was in the ER for over 8 hours for severe abdominal/ovary pain. In that time, I never was moved to a room. After I went through triage, they moved me into another waiting area full of other post-triage patients. Not only was it incredibly uncomfortable, especially already being in abdominal pain, but there was no sense of privacy. Any and all information from registration to medical news, was given in front of everyone in the waiting hallway.I needed to have a CT scan to try to determine the cause for my pain. I got the scan in a timely manner, but then proceeded to sit there for over 3 hours before a nurse finally decided to investigate why they hadn't heard anything. Apparently someone had forgotten to submit my results resulting in the lengthy delay. At the time of triage the nurse practitioner said she wanted to start me on an IV of fluids and Zofran. Once I was finally called back to see the NP about 4 hours later, she wanted to know if I was feeling better after the meds. That was the first opportunity I had to mention to anyone that I never received the meds she prescribed FOUR HOURS EARLIER. No one came to check on me in the waiting hallway once the entire time I was there. My final complaint is about the "paramedic" that did my blood draw and put the the IV port in. She was so busy talking with a coworker about when she was going to be off and what she was going to do that she could hardly give me time of day. She roughly stabbed the needle and then proceeded to have to dig around trying to hit the vein. I don't have scientific proof, just the opinion from a physician at another ER that I had to go to a week later, that the rough injection has now caused a superficial blood clot in that arm.
Donetta Moore: As always, very caring and kind people
Natress KELLEY: As usual, good patient service.
Isaiah Mitchell: This place is not good
Brenda Tillery: Competent and efficient staff in Emergency Room & Radiology.
Maya Dotson: The medical staff are friendly but this last visit I felt when being discharged I was being brushed off/ hurried to get me out. Nothing was explained regarding results from my ultrasound/ x-ray. Just shown results were in my discharge folder. I had to ask what to do about my swelling behind my knee. At this point I'm dissatisfied with Center Medical Center as a whole including their ortho doctors. I will be seeking care in St. Louis I know I will get the proper care there. I will say the ER follow up scheduling department has been great trying to help me schedule follow up appointment.
Vicky Combs: In my most recent experience there on May 16, 2023 the level of incompetence in the clinic where I was sent for my procedure was down right dangerous! I will never go to Centerpoint again, am in the process of having all my doctors changed to the KU system, and will be happy to explain in great detail why the situation at Centerpoint was so dangerous to anyone seeking the information.
Mike Smith: My visit was just fine everyone working there really helped me and I am feeling much better now
John Dold: The doctors and nurses were wonderful. The Physical Therapistswere great. Very very happy with the care I received.
Ellen Jackson: Staff was great. Procedure was easy and technician and nurses were awesomeThanks for taking such good care of me while I go through treatment. God bless you all
Mike Wheeler: Professional always
Norman Roy: Every time we have used Centerpoint Medical Center... the care has been outstanding. I can not praise their efficiency, professionalism and kindness enough.
Kelly: I spent 5 days in ICU From May 21st.2023 to May 26th. 2023. The Nurses, Doctors, Physical therapy was all nice, respectful, care giving people. They save my life. They were all excellent.. Thank you, Kelly Anschultz
Lisa Parker: Nursing/techs were amazing. 6th floor took awesome care of me! Caitlynn, Jonna, and Sam were amazing.

Planned Parenthood - Independence Health Center: what do users think?
G B: Black Lives that don't Matter are killed here!
Quan Irving: We called to set up an appointment then when we got here they told us they couldn’t see us
Zach Gart: I had my nexplanon removed and had a new one put in Jessica was my nurse practitioner she was so sweet, and kind ,very professional I am horrible with needles and ended up getting sick and she was so easy going and understanding I am so appreciative of her. I didn't have to wait long at all and the lady at the front desk was very helpful and kind as well. I told her I didn't have the full amount I needed to pay and she helped me and brought the price way down thank you ladies very much.
Alyssa Miller: This location is amazing! Staff members here are amazing, super friendly, and know what they are doing! My experience has always been so great! Thank you, Planned Parenthood!
Wernex Wernex: I had a great experience here. Didn't wait long for my appointment. Had someone knowledgeable work with me and had someone take my blood without much pain. My HRT was done fast and was completely covered by the grant they have right now.
Erin stebbins: I gotten my hormone replacement therapy through this location for about a year and a half(blood work every 3 months) and they are very respectful and knowledgeable about transgender healthcare. The sliding scale is very generous. Appointments usually run a bit behind but it's not a big deal. I recommend this location to people all of the time.
Steph: I appreciate everything they do for lots of people. That said, I arrived at 12:10 for my 12:30 appointment and wasn't seen til after 1 after waiting over an hour. Meanwhile other people came in after me and got in sooner. I'd appreciate it if I could be seen on time as I made it in on time. Otherwise it was a great experience and the NP removed my implant quickly and painlessly.
Kevin Guardado: Didn’t show up for an appointment
Denise Stinson: Everytime I scheduled a appointment I never seem to see anyone at the location!! They have no one there to see me or properly do exam. This is unacceptable and ridiculous. I will 🚫 never recommend anyone to 🤔 this location. And the staff is rude
Sam K: So welcoming and just over all a good, friendly experience. They were very informative and made me not scared for my first visit 10/10
Wol Endov: The protestors outside were really nice to me when I had my baby removed.
Arkini Spenelli: I’m really baffled at the bad reviews for the length of the visit. If I had to sit there for hours for my free birth control I’m not going to complain. These are free or discounted services. We’re lucky planned parenthood exists at all. I’ve never had an issue at this location. They are all nice. I’ve personally never had a long wait here. I think this is the best location. I have had issues with the other locations but not enough to give them less than 3 stars when they’re giving me free birth control...
Eleni: Had a hard time getting someone on the phone. I did get my question answered though.
Elaine: Easily made an appointment online to have my birth control updated, and received text/email reminders in the days leading up to my visit.Staff was friendly from start to finish. Everyone was patient and open, making me feel very comfortable and safe.Procedure itself was quick and painless, and more affordable than some offices for me. Overall this was jusy a really positive experience!
Michelle ishappy: Zero good. Horrid place.
Gretchen Delzer: Had an appointment for a consult. Arrived a few minutes after they suggested was still seen on time. Service was great and staff was friendly. Definitely not what I had expected from past reviews. Will be returning.
Jen Kean: Two weeks and counting waiting for test results when I was told five to seven days - no mail, no response to voicemail...nothing. Will not return.
M: Made an appointment and arrived early for he paperwork. Waited over an hour past the appointment time. The front desk person was very friendly and the other staff was nice. Only complaint is the wait.
Tony Mitchell: Stay away from this place the put us through unecessary problems with billing and the treatment you receive is just not worth anyone’s time your health is way more important than a cheap price
Emily Griffin: I was going to ignore the fact that I waited almost an hour after my scheduled appointment time until I got in but now it’s 4 days later and the pharmacy can’t get a hold of anyone to fix the incorrect prescriptions wrote by Dr. Julie Talley. I spent almost an hour on the phone until I reached someone who has now said let me call you back. Extremely frustrating.
Shanice & Ras Abu: Very pleasant experience. I was nervous from rating but nurse janeatta (sorry if misspelled) made me very comfortable & i would come back if i ever needed to use services.

Saint Luke's North Hospital-Barry Road: what do users think?
SavannahShopkins Chesnut: I never been there b8
Damon DiRisio: Went here at midnight from St. Joseph after work to get a second opinion. I was told they would take care of me... instead they just took blood and sent me home, saying take it up with my primary basically. Well, I went there for another opinion. Place sucks!!!
John F: I had a great experience at Saint Luke's North Hospital-Barry Road. The hospital is modern and clean, and it has a lot of services and amenities. The staff was professional and caring, and they made me feel comfortable and well-informed. The doctors and nurses were knowledgeable and skilled, and they treated me with respect and compassion. I received excellent care and I recovered quickly. I would highly recommend this hospital to anyone who needs medical attention in the Northland.
Abby Dillon: Amazing care, exceptional staff. They took care of my mom and could not have possibly done a better job.
Deena Smith: Took my son to the ER with a fever and a throat almost swollen shut. He was told all tests (COVID, Strep, etc) were negative. Was told it was viral and he was just going to have to go home and take Tylenol/Ibuprofen. He was not given any fluids (I told them he hadn't had anything to drink). Drove back home (an hour away) and ended up at the local ER with 102 degree temperature and being told he has a severe case of strep throat. He was given fluids and antibiotics. He started feeling better. Maybe they should have taken a little more time with him.
Tiffany Norris: Just took my 11 month to get checked out cause he’s got blood coming out of his ear and not a just a little a bunch they looked in there told me they could see prescribed him antibiotics and told us to leave I asked what’s the best way to clean them out all the blood is making me nervous she literally told me they way they did it but told me it needs to be done at the hospital cause u could hurt his ear drum yet wouldn’t clean his so I’m heading home with a child with an ear full of blood
Diane Petifurd: I had surgery at SLN and it went very well especially the bedside nurses. My biggest complaint is with billing. I over paid and have been waiting for a refund since October 2022. Holding our money without cause, what's up with that. We have been told our refund is coming, when?Poor billing process
Madeline Freeman: I had such a great experience at the ER tonight, the doctor and nurses were fast, caring and had me feeling a whole lot better by the time I left. Thank you for being so good to me!
Alexis: It's very unprofessional that the doctor from the ER gave me prednisone & before giving it to me didn't give me any warning about the side effects especially the psychological effects.
Jayanti Raphael: my wife was admitted and put on suicide watch. I called later the same night to make sure that she was OK. They told me that she didn't want to talk to me, I had then called the next morning to make sure she was OK and they told me she just didn't want to speak to anyone. My wife came home later and said that she kept asking to talk to me. if it's a policy, not to let people who are on suicide watch talk to you anyone, that's fine. You can tell that to the patient and the loved ones, lying and speaking for the patient saying that they don't want to talk to their loved ones is ridiculous. why would you intentionally try to cause damage to a relationship? That is extremely malicious. I don't know if they have the legal right to do that but that seems absurd that hospital staff would lie to family. not to mention that I am the one who had her admitted, had her car, I was her ride. Disgusting. There is a reason why they have 2.3 stars as their rating, if you have family, do not let them ever go to the hospital.
T L: DO NOT Visit this hospital if you are expecting compassion, professionalism or to be treated with respect.Especially if you or your loved one is in a mental health crisis. Advocating for a loved one is frowned upon and you WILL you be spoken to, and treated in an adversarial manner, simple for asking questions. They will lie to you and change what they said depending on what suits their needs.A family member experienced a crisis that required them to be ro St. Lukes North Barry Rd. I was told by nurse C they were being placed on a medical hold: they were being admitted until the hospital could secure a bed at a facility better equipped to handle their needs. I was told they were evaluated by 2 doctors and both agreed that it was in the best interest of the patient to be involuntarily admitted based on their evaluation and what the patient stated directly to them. "nurse" C became aggressive, dismissive and utterly rude after my asking questions. She was angered that I had the audacity to question her about my loved one. The next "nurse": nurse K was even more aggressive and dismissive. The hospital had to take actions to calm the patient. I called to ask what happened and she was evasive. I repeat the same question 5 times and she still refused to give me a straight answer. She began to make judgments upon my person and stated that I didn't want my family member to receive the care they were insisting she needed; again, because I asked questions; follow up questions regarding her care so that I could make an informed decision. The patient was given a COVID-19 test and the results were positive. Suddenly, the patient no longer required a hold or any further treatment from the hospital. The care and safety of the patient was no longer of concern. They wanted them out, and they wanted them out quickly. The patient was not admitted long enough for a proper mental health evaluation, as they were sedated restrained and asleep for the majority of the visit. The only heros in this egregiously traumatic encounter with the hospital personnel were the Police Officers that brought them to the hospital, unharmed. The Officers displayed compassion to my loved one during this mental health crisis. Despite being well within their right to incarcerate.Next was nurse T. He was just following orders. He was somewhat sympathy. He promised to give my number to the leader of Behavior Health and assured me that Ms. L would give me a call and explain the sudden change of plans better than he could. No call. Waiting. 2 hours later. No call. Called back with an advocate on the line with me and nurse T states, rather loudly, " The Mother is on the line again this time with an advocate." The charge nurse could be heard saying, " they are being discharged, we have a million other patients other than (them)."The Advocate speaks with nurse T, and nurse T regurgitates what the charge nurse is saying in the background. Eventually nurse T gets frustrated with the questions from the Advocate and asks for change nurse to take the call. She gets on, and reiterates the patient is discharged because they awoke from their involuntary drug induced sleep saying they were sorry and they were no longer a threat.Everything changed after the positive COVID-19 test. The hospital could not transfer them to another facility with a positive test and they didn't want any further responsibility. This is the same patient that several hours earlier, had been brought in by Police Officers, evaluated by a Psychiatric and the attending ER doctor and deemed to be dangerous, told they were being involuntarily held at the hospital until a bed opened up at another facility, then they would be transferred, restrained and sedated, unable to make competent decisions AND WAS RELEASED BECAUSE THE PATIENT SAID THEY WERE SORRY!!!THIS HOSPITAL IS A DISGRACE AND NEGLIGENT WITH NO REGARD FOR A PATIENT IN AN IMMINENT EMERGENT CRISIS.
Nicky Dominguez: I went to the er about 8 am there was no wait at all I was in and out within an hour. They treated me accordingly and the staff was super sweet and caring. I will definitely be back to this hospital when I’m needing care..thank you guys so much!
Missi Newberry: They are charging me more than they should. I will never come back here.
cheyenne vickers: By far the worst hospital I’ve been to.
Melissa Garrett: Why is it that all the doctors here send you to a specialist but nobody ever wants to treat you they just want to run a bunch of tests and then you never get any treatment and their attitudes are horrible!!!! Learn how to have some bedside manner and caring for your fellow human being. Most of the time patients were just scared and not aware of exactly what's going on they take very little time to explain what's going on to their patience and are in a hurry for you to place your order and get through the drive through. It's fast food healthcare.
Jay B.: I promise the emergency here does not care about you. At all. Anytime I call , no one helps and they have this careless attitude , I’ve called and talked to different people seeing if they could help with finding me a primary care provider to follow up with my visits as it says on the paper and no help. Don’t work in the medical field if you lack empathy and compassion and the willingness to help with information. Jesus Christ. Also, I’ve been having this breast infection and they had me waiting in the waiting room for hours , I was sitting there BLEEDING OUT OF MY BREAST FOR HOURS before I could be seen. Just all around terrible. I never wanted to make this comment , I’ve just been letting there carelessness slide. But after today, I’m threw.
Andrew Sweebe: I think part of my online math class was shot here.
Rachael Gladhart: I would love to give St Luke’s north 5 stars and if it was only based on the care and attention I received while being treated there last week both in the ER and while inpatient I would. Everyone was great from the custodial staff to the specialists I saw. The only issues was the food. During my 2 days there everything I was served was inedible and I had to have the nurses bring me peanut butter and crackers as well as my husband bring me food from home. Part of the issue was due to my food allergy and part of it was due to subpar food with no ability to order off a menu.Your staff is amazing at Luke’s north please get it together with your cafeteria.
Cait B: If you’re sick or dying, don’t come here.My experience in the ER took 7+ hours & the staff was so unfriendly. Had to do two rounds of tests because they were negligent when testing and “they didn’t work”. I’m sure we will get billed double. I would NOT recommend this ER.If you’re having a baby, I’d highly recommend. I would highly recommend St. Luke's North OB Department & Labor and Delivery. Dr. Hamel was my doctor through the whole process and she is the main reason why I would recommend coming here. She is thorough, intelligent, and she is caring. She 100% always made sure I was in control of the situation, never swayed me any direction. She explained all procedures to me before completing them. Always advocated for me and not against me. I would HIGHLY recommend Dr. Hamel and her team.
De SUD: Er the worst in waiting and type of service declined
Brian williams: My dad was taken there by helicopter and placed in ICU. He was there for about 36 hours before he passed away. His cardiologist Dr. Kline was awesome. His nurse on the day that dad passed was Yarri (spelling might not be right), he said he also went by Ya Ya. He was such a kind and caring nurse, he explained everything and was very attentive! He made sure dads passing was as peaceful and comfortable as possible.

Saint Luke's Hospital of Kansas City's Crittenton Children's Center: what do users think?
Demon Summoner: i was here 2022 when i was 12 and it was the worse thing ive ever witnessed. they were so nice to me while admitting me in, but as soon as my mom left they yelled at me and told me to stop crying. i was having a really hard time with food and physically could not eat due to anxiety. they weighed me and yelled at me to eat until i threw it up and made me clean it up. the quarenteen room is disgusting it looks like an actual jail cell and the person sitting outside my door told me to stop having an anxiety attack when they told me id be going in an ambulance to a medical hospital away from my mom. they didnt care about me and they are not good at creating a welcoming inviornment. they put me in the same room as a girl not even close to my age who was yelling and cursing. they threatened to give me a feeding tube while i was crying and had no idea what to do with me and said all the wrong things. i was starving and they couldnt do anything to ease my anxiety like they were supposed to do. i was only there for a couple days before i was transferred to somewhere much better but it was the scariest thing that ever happened to me. all they did was make everything worse, they used scare tactics on me and were completely rude and unprofessional..gave me more trauma than when i admitted. extremely trauma uninformed. not to mention that they allowed me to see my weight when they knew very well about my eating disorder.
Ariel Ladesh: I came here back around early 2013, early 2014 I was around 13 at the time and it was a mandatory 10 days day for suicidal thoughts and ideations and self harming. I had to sleep in the children’s area because there was “not enough space“ on top of that in the first three days I watched a girl get tackled and injected with a sedative. Another girl was sobbing uncontrollably, and we were forced to physically look away from her, not interact with her, not talk to her, nor attempt to console her on top of that we were given paperwork multiple times a day, ignoring what our actual difficulties were that put us in there in the first place, getting angry when you pointed it out and making the environment devoid of any sort of positive feedback. This facility put me in a position of genuinely believing I did not have a single person in my life that cared about my safety and especially not medical professionals that were there to make sure I felt safe the food was undercooked and I can sincerely say that for the rest of my life to the point that I am at now, which is 24 I would rather kill myself, then go back to a facility like this one ever again, if you are wanting to send somebody for help take them somewhere else it is not worth the time and energy or money and risking your loved ones safety.
nevaeh. e: if i could give this place 0 stars i would . the staff their really don’t like their job and it’s so obvious . the only staff that i could tell that actually likes their job is ms shelly. the rest of them are so draining and weird . the therapy sessions are so pointless they don’t teach you coping skills that are actually beneficial for yourself. the food their is terrible i lost like 20 pounds just being their for 8 days. it’s pointless if your trying to send your child here i promise you. The video they show on their website is nothing but lies, they show kids going outside and playing when you literally aren’t even allowed to leave the unit half of the time. they overdose you on pills that you don’t need as well . find a place that is actually caring & cares.
Samantha Raymond: I'm abt to go here so
ruby morgan: This place is a nightmare. My son has endured so much emotional abuse in this facility. The staff deprive them of food, call them names and even attempt to attack the children. I think this place needs shut down permanently
tierani smith: I was neglected and abused in this facility. They broke my foot in 3 places, my fibula and made me walk on it. Neglected me when i voiced i was about to pass out, no one helped me, gave me water... nothing, in fact a man stood and watched me do it with not a care in the world. A staff member talked about and made fun of me while I was there as well. Terrible, absolutely disgusting. This was 2 almost 3 years ago, i'm crippled/disabled to this day.
April Lewis: My daughter is only in intake they are very rude horrible people they smart mouth don’t even know what they are talking about they are very disrespectful and they are very rude telling you about your kid they know nothing about they try and make you keep your kid her for the Medicaid do not send your kids here this place is horrible he told me that 50 people are lying about the same reviews says they all mad about the same things that happened with differently people no it’s this place don’t send your love ones there I have conversations between us they are horrible
CJ Johnigan: Miss Celeste, miss grace and miss Carsen really helped and took care of me throughout my stay here. So glad this is where I went
Cs Nasty: The treatment I received here caused me permanent developmental damage. I can say this confidently after 10 years.I was a straight A student athlete before I was under St. Luke's treament. If you need someone to spell it out for you: This is NOT the place to take your children if you want them to get better. These people are still in the metaphorical hacksaw stage of their field of medicine.
Sarah Leslie: Terrible experience all around. I've basically wasted two months of my life for these people to jump through all their hoops only to have problem after problem after problem. And good luck getting a call back.
Haley Fudge: This place was terrible. A blurry nightmare.
Abby: dont go here. just dont…
Luna Headphones: Spent 3 years here from 2016-2018 this place accepts many foster kids and then keeps them as long as insurance will cover for money. Me and almost every person who I knew at the hospital still talks about the trauma we experienced here. From belittling and threats to full on bullying and neglect from the staff and nurses. I was overdosed on almost all of my medications including ones that are dangerous for children (Depakote and lithium) effects of which i still deal with including a autoimmue disorder gang behavior is encouraged by staff a d when I tried to hurt myself while in residential the doctor threatened to ask the cort to approved shock therapy. The only reason I was released was my bio father showing up (which anyone could have known was not a safe place for me to be discharged to.
Shaina Harris: Horrible.... don't help with the kids at all.
Audrey Patterson: Please don't send your kid here. Send them to center point or whatever its called
Ashton Valentine: This hospital traumatized me. I lived with flashbacks everytime I heard sirens for years. I had an attempt on my life and then was sent to Crittenton. I was on max doses of three different meds before I went. They took me off all of them cold turkey. I could've died, and I was very sick...couldn't walk, throwing up everything I ate. They would take patients clothes and put them in gowns when they were misbehaving. A trans girl on my unit was misgendered and told they'd call her a girl when she acted like one. They planned my discharge without talking to my parents, the only way they knew I was going home was when I told them on the phone. Please, PLEASE do not send your children here. It is the worst childrens psych hospital in Kansas.
Kanga: I was in unit 9 in december of 2016 when my all girls ward had to accept a male patient who was beat almost to death, completely unrecognizable in the face, because the hospital would not send him to receive actual medical treatment. I have not been able to truly think about this experience because it was so traumatizing to think about. only saw a therapist once in my 5 day stay, the hospital "nurses" just sit on there phones all night at full blast while everyone was trying to sleep at 8pm, making abusive comments towards any patient having an actual crisis because of the disgusting abusive conditions we were put in.
Jason Hiddleston: I can't remember if this is the place or not but I was admitted here when I was 9. I tried to run away and got taken here and my mom had no choice in the matter on whether I would go or not. I was taken by ambulance. I kept telling them. "I'm not supposed to be here!" And I kept repeating "I want my mom" over and over while crying in the corner of the room. I never stopped crying for one moment when I was there. I was so upset that I was there that I vowed to not eat until I get to see my mom because I hated being there with a passion. I don't remember how the staff team was but I do remember one thing. The only person who actually listened to me was this really kind black lady that was just so sweet. I'm pretty sure that she was the reason I got out of there in a day instead of a week like it was supposed to be. So for that I thank you. Whoever you are. I have nightmares sometimes about this place. It was truly traumatizing and it always lingers in the back of my head.I hate this place with a passion
/ᑕᒪᗴᗰᗴᑎTIᑎᗴ: No💖. For one their food was horrible and one time they MADE someone talk about their trauma in front of everyone and were denying the person's feelings because the staff didn't understand what they were saying and when they said exactly what had happened they were crying and they got upset as a normal person would be and got put on this thing called restart which probably made things worse and there was what looked like a camera on the mirror pointing right towards a shower so yeah i wish this place would just close down oh also sharing your social media isn't a hippa violation a hippa violation is sharing personal information of other people stop giving more trauma to people who come in here
Tziporah Schefter: I was there twice years ago, when I had no choice. It was a disaster. Staff would expect you to get better but then make fun of, belittle and shame you for anything they didn’t like. For example, hurting myself and talking loud. It was impossible to sleep because staff would be on their phones and computers all night without headphones. The second time I was there, we asked for me to get tested for mono when all the other blood work was done. They said they did and I was negative. Months later, found out I DID have it and had it for months before. That spiraled into a massive slew of health issues; all from their negligence (Epstein Barr virus can very rarely mutate and cause things like autoimmune diseases). The doctors were incompetent, just threw random meds at you. They put me on one that is not safe to take with a med I was already on and I had massive neurological issues while on the medication. When I was ready for discharge, they never notified my family and just waited for them to call. Intake process takes hours.Horrible facility.
Zoë: I was admitted here twice when I was 10 and 11, this place just added more trauma. My experience here definitely increased my ACE score. They threatened to sedate me when I was having a panic attack and locked me in a room which only made it worse, because I am claustrophobic, all the while, the staff were making fun of me.They kept us in our rooms almost all dayThey wouldn't let us go outside into the fenced off courtyard. They yelled at us and insulted us when we got upset. They forced me to take a medication without telling me what it was, otherwise I was going to be sedated, I still dont know what I took but I didnt remember the next few hours. They dont do any actual therapy, only forcing meds on you, and watching movies like veggie tales.DO NOT ADMIT YOUR LOVED ONES HERE!!! This place is literally hell.

University Health Lakewood Medical Center: what do users think?
JoJo Soria: We came in today with my oldest son. Front desk nurse was very rude. She refused to let me back with my son, despite several direct request made by my son to have me go with. After I called the charge nurse myself, I was allowed back. They attempted a procedure on my son which was not only unsuccessful it was completely traumatizing. The nurse was friendly enough but was very noticeably inexperienced. She was reading the directions on the tubing as if she had never seen it before. During all this, they switch doctors (shift change I assume we were never notified) who never came introduced herself until I requested to talk to the doctor ….. I’ve been going to Truman for over 15 years and I have to say I am absolutely disappointed and frankly a little disturbed about the level of care of my son received today.
Michael Cave: Do not go here. Don’t send your family here. Don’t let your friends go here. The incompetence of this place is dangerous. I would say it’s a glorified urgent care but that would be overstepping it. Seriously. Don’t go here for general care, ESPECIALLY anything life threatening. Chances are you’ll die in their care waiting for an ambulance to transfer you out to another hospital with the appropriate capabilities. The fact that this “stepdown” of an actual reputable hospital (Truman Hospital Hill) exists is sad. The emergency room cannot handle anything. The icu shouldn’t even exist. Zero cardiac capabilities, zero dialysis capabilities, you name it. Avoid this place spend the extra 4 minutes and go to st Luke’s east or the extra 15-20 to Truman downtown. I’m really not sure why the joint is still up and running.
Sean Gowing: They are incompetent to a person's needs
Kristin Whitehair: I visited an outpatient clinic once and received great care. The billing side was a mess. The online bill pay option wasn't functional. I sent a check that was promptly cashed, but not credited to my account. I've been repeatedly told the error was corrected. Most recently I received a robo call threatening to send me to collections for this $50 bill.I have spent 5x as much time trying to get my bill paid as time I spent in the clinic... let alone compared to the few minutes I actually saw the clinician.
Will Strong: Listen up, soon-to-be fathers: apparently if you bring your wife to the hospital and sit by her side for 5 straight days while they induce labor, University Health doesn’t see you as a parent. Only a visitor. They have a strict 2 visitor at-a-time policy. So when your parents and in-laws come to meet their first grandbaby, if you want them to share that beautiful moment together as a family, you’ll have to sit out in the lobby and miss out on it. Because remember, if you are a man, you’re nothing but a visitor. Doesn’t matter one bit if your name is on the birth certificate. God forbid you’re in the room when 2 other people come to visit. Not like I was trying to bring a party bus in all at once. Absolutely ridiculous
dillon hollander: Always schedules me 3 weeks out. So annoying you need to be faster than this.
T: Had my first doctor visit here the other day and it went really well. All of the staff was super helpful and nice.Docking 1 star because the operators when you call in are extremely rude and very hostile. For an otherwise very good experience they should really look into the phone operators at this location. They kind of ruin it all because they're so mean for no reason.
Lindsey Froehlich: 🇲🇽💯🏥 👁️👻😇🤩⋯⋯就要你
Peachiz Malone: Cafeteria smelled good
paul martin: Worst ER hospital visit I've ever been to, I went last night for abdominal pain they got me in fast and did a CT scan and ultrasound, took 4 hrs to get the results back to find out nothing was wrong "pain level 7 " was not offered any medication for pain. Dr. Was going to treat it as something else but he wasn't for sure that was it, but if the doctor says there is nothing wrong with me then I guess there is nothing wrong with me.......THIS HOSPITAL IS A JOKE
David Hooper: My wife had surgery here, stayed overnight and recieved the Best care from the time she checked in until she checked out. All theDoctors, healthcare workers and staff were extremely kind and helpful.A big thank you to all who took such good care of her.
Ombria Davis: I just wanted to thank LaDell for being my nurse and taking care of all my needs in a timely manner the best to her ability my registration nurse Barbara was wonderful and nice and my discharge nurse Amanda was also wonderful I will never go back to another emergency room ever thank you ladies and keep doing a wonderful job you did not go unnoticed with me, also Dr buchheit was AMAZING
Beverly Morgan: Was seen in Emergency Area. The wait was long but so worth it. I finally feel like I'm going to get answers to the issues I am having with my hands. Was seen by Dr. Dahl, very cordial, answered my questions, has a slight sense of humor which helped calm the anxiety of just my being there. The whole staff from the Triage, to the Blood Drawing to the shot at the end was all well executed. Thank you all so much.
BOSS LADY: A VERY RUDE, POMPOUS AND OBTUSE MAN,ANSWERED THE PHONE AROUND 3:18 PM ON MARCH 15 TH 2023THE PROPER THING TO DO, IS NOT TO JUST SWITCH SOMEONE OVER TO ANOTHER LOCATION, IN THE MIDDLE OF A SENTENCE, WITHOUT EVEN TELLING THEM YOU'RE DOING SO.YOU SHOULD NOT BE ANSWERING THE PHONES WHERE PEOPLE ARE IN NEED OF ASSISTANCE. YOUR PERSONALITY IS THAT OF A STIFF,YOU SHOULD BE WORKING IN THE MORGUE.
Michael Verdegem: Billing system is a mess i have paid my bill for one event 3 separate times i am still getting calls each time i have been told it was paid in full every time would not mail me copies of the bill when asked for and did not communicate on all there different billing departments. will not go back
Aubry Mans: My son went in for a routine follow-up on his medication because it’s a controlled substance. We were asked if we wanted a Flu shot while he was there. Of course we said yes, because it was that time of year. Then we got hit with a $145 bill for the flu shot & administering it. I talked to billing and my insurance. It should’ve been covered but because University Health coded it a certain way and they said they won’t change it. They are asking for their money. So just know, if you want a flu shot and your original appointment is not for a flu shotYour probably going to be billed for something I could go to Walgreens and pay $40! Out of pocket. It’s extremely unfortunate we have been coming here for a while and now I will be taking my family somewhere else. Very much a scam!.
nathan gray: On the one hand, my PCP is an exceptional physician! My wife and I both love her! On the other, the receptionist at the hospital entrance by the clinic, (not the clinic receptionist, she was very polite) was very rude. I don’t appreciate greeting you with, “good morning” and receiving more of a grunt of an, “uh-huh” than a proper greeting. You’re a receptionist, I appreciate that you’re probably busy; but one of your primary job responsibilities is in your title.
Ashton Gray: I went here a year or so ago after I was referred by my primary dentist, because they didn't do crowns.I've had basically zero issues with Truman over the years but this branch just isn't it.First appointment they told me what my portion was for my crowns, but i later found out that it was only portion 1/4. Everyone in the office acted like I was stupid for thinking I'd only pay a small number when that is exactly the number i was told, not that I'd have payments. The office is also not on the normal bus route so i was having difficulties getting there and they are so quick to reschedule your appointment, they won't see you if you don't pay either. It's all about money, I guess.Where exactly was I supposed to get a random 200 dollars on a moment's notice??I should not have to double check to make sure I'm being quoted the correct price when it's literally someone's job to make sure services are fully paid for. Also can't believe that this location doesn't participate in any assistance programs, what a joke.
lalathaqueen100: The big ER nurses are so rude, the staff on the 2nd floor was running up and down the halls laughing and playing, so unprofessional and they can't draw blood without fishing in your arms for veins, horrible experience, u can be dying and registration and admissions will be at your door so crazy
Taylor Goins: I had my son here 4 years ago and have found that the doctors will actually listen to patients and treat them great. The dental services are also amazing here and this will always be the family doctor office 🙌
riggsparty5: Unprofessional and uncaring doctor. We were sent here by urgent care only to be treated as if the medical emergency was nothing. I was not given any pain medication at all, and had to go back to urgent care to get a prescription for that. Dr. on duty was very unprofessional and had a horrible bedside manner. I would not recommend this hospital to anyone.
