They were a little low on items they normally carry, for the more commonly known brands like Kaweco and Lamy, but they had so many wonderful brands to choose from. They carry Montblanc, which I know can be hard to find a brick and mortar for, and they carry some mid range Viscontis!Definitely Olivander vibes for me! "The Pen chooses the writer, Mr potter ... it's not always clear whyTheir ink selection is decent, carrying brands like diamine and lamy and noodlers, didn't see any J. Herbin there, tho. I wish they carried a few more accessories to the pens they sell, like pen clips or converters. I know most folks probably use the cartridges for convenience, but I change ink colors like my moods! But for what they dont have in stock, you can order stuff, though! So if you have a pen in mind that's not in stock, you can put in an order, and they'll ship it into the store for you! The rep was very knowledgeable and kind, let me hold and examine his personal kaweco sport al because I was eyeing one. They carried a few paper pads to accommodate the pens and inks... but I saw mostly Rhodia. I would recommend this shop to anyone who's been eyeing a pen online but wants to see and feel it in person before purchasing. I'm so glad to have this store in town!

I emailed support (late afternoon) and they responded in less than an hour with several options and ordering links. When I sent a follow up email, I again got a response within 30 minutes with additional options. I ordered several different options (ink type, tip size), the order was fulfilled same day and shipped the very next. They arrived within a couple days, all of them fit my pens and seem like smooth, high quality ink. I highly recommend this store for pen and ink needs. Very knowledgeable and very helpful staff!

I had an old old montblanc that wasnt working and once the worker at the pen place cleamed it it is now working beautifully again. I also purchased an AMCE brand rollerball pen that is just perfect.Great selection and wonderful service

The clerk didn't greet anyone walking in. I noticed a sign on the window advertising a part time position. Hopefully today's clerk is leaving.

James Cho: They sent me 3 oz ink after I ordered and paid for 4.5 oz bottle of Noodler’s Polar Black via Walmart fulfilled by Pen Place. The good parts were shipping was free, it arrived intact, and item arrived earlier than promised. Was very excited to get it and tried it out soon as I got it and filled 2 fountain pens. Ink performed great. Then I noticed that the bottle looked different than what was pictured and there was no dropperIt was a 3 oz bottle. I called the store and they promised to refund part of the money. (I suggested this since I had used some of the product and it would not be right to return it). So I don’t feel too bad. But still disappointed I did not get what I ordered. I had ordered the larger bottle because it was cheaper per oz and came with a dropper.

Andrew Mossin: Ordered an anniversary gift with the store's 1-2 day delivery by USPS as a guide to arrival. Three days later, with no confirmation of shipping, I contacted the store only to learn that not only hadn't the gift gone out, but the person I spoke with couldn't confirm delivery anytime soon. Do not order from this store if you actually expect prompt service/delivery!

Gage Hayes: It's nice to have a pen store so close. Prices are surprisingly very good! When you just need a bottle of ink or so but don't want to pay $8 in shipping, this is definitely the place. Pen selection is very good as well!

William Antonelli: Great customer service, knowledgeable, and you can try the pens. They carry some ink that is out of stock elsewhere, even in online shops (looking at you Noodler's Polar Black). I did buy one pen without trying it, and the ink doesn't come out for me 20% of the time (I'm a lefty); I'll ask if they can possibly make an adjustment to it, but not sure if that's possible.
