Lindsey Arnold: Cancer Action was so incredibly helpful during this emotional time for my mom. We went in to look at wigs since her doctor confirmed she will be losing her hair during chemo. They were patient and let her try on anything we picked out and helped us find one that looks very similar to her regular hair. They also gave the tip that she will likely get cold at night and let her pick out some scarves and hats, all at no cost. They even gave her a goody bag with small items like gum and a word search book to help during her chemo treatment appointments. We appreciate everything they did for us and continue to do, thank you so much!
Lesa Blackwell: The Cancer center is so helpful, I call them sometimes if we run out of supplies for my husband he has stage 4 Colon cancer, and if they don't have it, they will call around at other places they are a blessing

Bre Raquel: I was told by a judge I had to complete 40 hours of community service for an incident that transpired between the father of my children and myself. He tried kidnapping my son and we ended up getting into a physical altercation we were charge with cruelty to children for fighting in front of our son and the judge ordered me to complete the 40 hours to have it dropped. I reached out and asked one of the heads to volunteer because as a single mother myself I know how imperative it is for a mom to have support. After explaining this to the woman in charge of volunteering I was excited thinking I could volunteers but according to the “directors” and their licensing I’m not allowed to even though my charges are being dropped. I have a 3 & 4 year old BOTH in my custody whom I love and protect the fact they’d turn someone WILLING to help even after what is required for community service is beyond me. I’m definitely going to start my own organization because clearly something is off about this program.

Maryjane MCluvin: Is it legal for them to tell me they can't help me at this time , gives no reason, and does not answer after that?? Is it even human for these said people that care to shun o one person with a disabled child who's power has been off for over a month?? You people truly need to revisit customer service classes . I've done nothing wrong besides all for their help bc that's where 211 Tesla everybody who lives in independence area to go to first. I've tried all resources NOTHING FROM ANYBODY

DK Miller: I went in over a month ago filled out the paperwork it was told I qualified to get help. I called to check status of that help and was told they did not have any application. I've gotten no help and they were not helpful
