Julie Cunningham: My first caricature cartoon photo as I've used Christine's services,and working on confidence and self image.As I stepped into the art studio at crown center wondering what the artist would reveal in the sketch.my image has improved since going to Christine's. The artist said my son with his head down was not good,as I wanted him to get a photo he's not ready.,and the car I wanted to get at the auction.i suffer with guilt that son had to grow up seeing Dad hit mom which came from drugs and alcohol,we are all too familiar with alanon and alateen.
Stacy Fremin: Thank you to everyone and especially Lita. She had things to fit me and made me feel very special. All of the volunteers were amazing. The coffee was great and hanging out and getting information was so.helpful.
brooke payne: My oh my don't know where to start almost a year ago I was the first lady off the streets to walk in the building. I was the first to shower take a nap and I was the 1000 person that walk-in in the building. Without this place and the resources that was giving to me I wouldn't be where I am now. Laying across my bed in my 2 bedroom apartment after being homeless sleeping on empty houses front and back porches living in a tent and sleeping in vacant boarded houses I still have alot to be achieved but I want to think the founder Lee Gipson and Christine McDonald and All the volunteers that help me to be where I am today. Now so many ladies are getting housing voucher through amber from care beyond the boulevard. Thanks alot and I appreciate EVERYTHING

It's a peaceful loving refuge from the world outside.A place where one can rest, refresh ,and reflect on what's truly important in there lives. When I'm there it feels like I am home.

They are rude and nasty to ppl in the program I have already been found by my abuser and was beat up after bein removed from the program over A situation that had nothing to do with me even when the individual made the mistake and admitted it was them and not me they didn’t listen to me ! I had to leave Half of the things I own and my kids own in the middle of the night from bein kicked out with three kids, if you’re running from a Bad situation or abuser don’t run here

Carolyn Kizine: I was a child in this center many years ago and the staff were great to us kids. They handled us with care and work with us on our own levels depending on the trauma we were coming from.

DeaVion Peoples: If I could give 0 stars I would.I came here to escape my physically abussive boyfriend only to get mentally abused here. I can say one thing the name suits very well (safe) haven bc they do protect you from the outside but what about the inside to? I've been threatened by a girl here and nothing was done due to it being "hear say" this is a lounge for people to come and vacation until there 4 months are up! The ones that are doing things to better themselves are constantly attacked and staff will do nothing! Bc they didn't see it. Very valuable things where stolen from me by my one and only Roomate and they did nothing about it! My advice for people that are in a abussive situation do not go to safe haven it will only mentally destroy you more although it may be a tad bid nicer living wise than other shelters you will not receive the help the other domestic shelters are willing and going to give.
