Tracy Johnson: I'll never ever go to Save A Lot again. I went and bought MAYBE 10 items. 3 of the items were messed up in some way. The tortillas were open and hard. Yes my fault for not looking very closely. But not entirely my fault. The onion was not very fresh. A little smooshy. And the refried beans were so gross looking. To be honest they didn't taste bad but they looked gross. This makes me sad because Save a lot is so close and sometimes I have to get something really quickly. But, I stand on that I will not ever step foot in there again.So, I stepped foot in there again. It's hit and miss. But ones thing is for sure, they're not cheaper than other stores. Not at all. Walmart is by far and wide the cheapest I've ever bought groceries.

Tracy Johnson: I went here to buy some Polska Kielbasa, it's as high priced as a regular store. So was the Alfredo sauce. Don't waste your time trying to save money here. Also, I went one time and 3 things were wrong. The tortillas were open and hard, the lettuce I got was all rusty on the inside, and the can of refried beans were so nasty. I opened them up and about threw up. They weren't even expired. I'll never go again. Having said that, for those of you that haven't been in awhile since they've revamped how they do their fresh meat, I will say the fresh meat selection is a lot better. Used to be you'd get mostly bone (if it was a pork chop or something), but now you get more meat and the quality is better and the representation is a lot better. So props on that at least.

For one thing you can't beat the prices, but mainly, the staff know me, they're always glad to see me, they let me know well in advance if prices are going up so I can stock up a lower pricing, and/or suggest new, lower cost, comparable items! Plus they have an absolutely HUGE variety of wonderful non-smoking related merchandise! I'm extremely pleased with this shop!!!! UPDATE: STILL living this place! They ALWAYS have my brands in stock and are ALWATS pleasant to deal with. Between that and the prices it really makes the drive worth it!

Robert Waterworth: I visited this place with my brother during the pandemic. We were told they wouldn't serve is until we put a mask on. So we go get our masks and proceed to order. While waiting for our food a gentleman walked in and they gladly served him without a mask. I was so disappointed and it ruined any appeal the food would have had. The only difference I could see was that the gentleman without a mask could speak Spanish.... Lol update the restaurant has been shut down. I called asking about placing an order. The woman said we've been closed over a year and once again was very rude and hung up on me. Horrible horrible horrible business I wouldn't suggest them for anything other than a public toilet. Horrible horrible business...

Mario Mora: One of the few places I’ll go for Hispanic food. The tacos are amazing, and the staff is really great. I’ve bought a few things from the store attached to it, and there’s a nice variety of things there I can’t get anywhere else.

Only giving it a 4 because the sopa marinera con coco was not good at all since they add some other cream stuff to it el pollo dorado was very crispy but really dry inside other than that the salsa is to die for. The staff is so humble and kind. I definitely would recommend eating here if you like different types of Hispanic food!

Jack Graham: Love the ability to order online and then drive to the store, park in a designated spot, and have someone bring your items to you. They are very quick at it too. It is nice to have an alternative to Amazon, as Target pricing is very competitive, and oftentimes far lower than what I can find online.

Jason P: This is actually a very handy place to go when you need something if you live in the area. It's been around for quite a while. They sell everything you'd expect from a typical gas station, and even a few extras, however they do NOT SELL ALCOHOL. They are not allowed due to being close to the Independence Square.

Open til 11:00p, after that QT @ Truman & Sterling is the next closest gas station(Open 24/7)They do accept EBT.

I didn’t know which soggy bag of lettuce I wanted so he decided to sigh and tap his fingers on the boxes he was stocking, until I moved out of his way. Even though his entire cart was taking up a majority of the space to which I had to move around twice just to see the selections.I decided from the pressure of his tapping to just leave the store. Hire more emotionally stable people. He made it seem like I inconvenienced his space while I just entered the store to grab two items.

Boo Boo: Don't go to this store. They have super long self checkout lines and need to open more self checkouts. Also, their main aisle is too crowded with bakery tables. It's too exhausting shopping there anymore. Spend your hard earned money somewhere else, but keep going there if you love super long self checkout lanes and a crowded main aisle to even get to the long checkout lines. Some rude employees too. This store isn't worth it. Also higher prices than other stores, even with the cost of goods and inflation. Go buy your grocery list at another store this week and you will see the difference in your grocery bill. Hyvee is called Hy (high) vee for a reason!!

Sarah Rowe: If you need florals done, don't go to HyVee. Their arrangements are horrible and not worth what they charge. If you are ordering fresh boutiques and old boutiques are delivered with rotten water, that's a sign. Stay clear!
Stephanie Smith: I had a large delivery order misdelivered. Received someone else's large order, they received mine I am assuming. I asked the employee over the phone if they delivered the order that was sitting on my porch for near an hour to the other customer, and she told me Don't worry, they checked through the order and replaced anything that felt warm. I talked to a manager about this, and was completely disregarded. This is unsafe food handling, and is very concerning. Both orders should have been reshopped. I don't trust food that has been in another customers care. And I don't want my groceries sitting out that long.Called corporate, they said they would find out what happened and get back to me with a solution in 24 to 48 hours. It has been almost a week and I have heard nothing. This was a $170 order, and the other customers order was even larger.This entire situation is very disappointing. I will not shop there again.

HOPE MICHELLE: I used to enjoy shopping at this location but it's gone downhill like the other locations around the city. Either they don't have enough product to restock or don't have employees doing the restocking on sale items. They are running a Fri-Sun sale, went shopping at 6:30 this morning and majority of sale items were out of stock! Should just call it a Friday half day sale! The quality of their produce has been declining while their prices are going up. Just not seeing the benefits of shopping here much anymore. And I don't see the point in having several self checkout lanes if only one out of 5 or 6 is available. Either put more than one cashier at the registers or make more than one self checkout available.

Over the course of several years I've tried to shop via pickup here to take advantage of sales - I've simply had to conclude that they're not even vaguely trying to keep their sale items in stock. No interest in making good on their advertising: do yourself a favor and go to the actually local grocery chain down the road.
