H. T.: This is a quaint little shop that we are so happy we stumbled upon. We have liked everything we tried and the owner is so very nice. There are a lot of varieties and there have been different choices each time we have gone. We've had the brownies, chocolate chip cookies, coffee cake, croissants, scones and they we all delightful. My favorite is the "shoe bun" (pictured by itself on the white plate) I had never tried one before and it's so delicious. It is now an all-time-favorite chocolate dessert of mine. I will reccomend this place to anyone who asks! She does custom cakes and cupcakes as well. Stop by or you're missing out!

The cake I ordered was $92.00 and it tasted old and there was an odd taste in the frosting. It was supposed to have lemon filling but I couldn’t taste or see the filling. I was really looking forward to this cake and I was truly let down!!!

Liam Elliott-Rosenau: My spouse ordered a birthday cake for me and picked it up today. It was absolutely nothing like what was discussed with the baker. The colors were intensly hideous and clashed bc of it (we wanted something lighter), the font was wrong (they did flowy script font when we wanted it to be super simple and now we can barely read it), everything was off centered (the font was crooked and parts were floating randomly), and there were additions that weren't asked for. My spouse came home with it in tears because we don't have the time to get a new one made (what they said we would have to do if we wanted anything better) --- the celebration is today :( if I could give them 0 stars I would. The ready made ones in the case are 10x better than this which they had over a week to make!

Jessica Leigh Allegedly: The food is seriously good.. I wasn’t sure if it was going to be or not.. after trying the sesame chicken/fried rice/crab rangoon once- I was hooked. The fried chicken is fire, the pop breakfast is a personal fave when ordering from DoorDash.. however, the brownies are omg delicious. Unfortunately, if I buy a tray of them.. if I don’t have friends or family to help devour them and/or babysit me (lol) I have been known to eat them all by myself in one evening.. aha. Also, the people working in this dept are extremely friendly and helpful. It’s no surprise to me that they have a five star rating. They have earned that, for sure.

Stan Conner: Avoid the bakery! The service I received was just as nasty as the donuts. This last Saturday I had some woman yell "can I help you?" For a family gathering I needed to order 2 dozen donuts. As I was giving my order she kept saying "next" then said "Be specific" I told her she was being rude. Her reply was "be specific." I ordered chocolate bars and chocolate donuts. Pretty specific! She gave me donuts with sprinkles! I didn't notice until I was checking out. I contacted the company with my complaint... No reply! I will NEVER enter another Hy-Vee. Nasty service. Nasty product. Poor company reply!

John Thottungal: It had been a long day of apartment hunting, excel worksheets and practice questions. The landlord called saying that a 2pm showing was possible and off I went. After seeing the apartment, the office manager was showing the Englewoods arts district and she mentioned that the best coffee cake she had ever tried was next door. I looked at her with a whiskical look and wondered if that was part of the pitch. I was wrong, she was being honest. I thanked her and decided to fo take a look. The recipe apparently was given to the owner by her mother and I figured thatis obviously a likely story. I opted to try the original version they started with, a cinnamon streusel and it was 6 dollars there was a two person piece. I am not a fan of sweets and i figured it would take me couple of days to finish it.I got in the car and took a bite and I forgot to turn the car on, sat there in the cold and ate half the cake. It melted in my mouth, soft, moist and filled with subtle hints of cinnamon and brown sugar in every bite. I have tried store bought versions and freshly baked ones before sparingly but none of them came close enough to make me write this review. This cake is pure poetry of sweetness.If you are coming to Kansas city, Missouri or KC MO as they call it here, take a 5 mile road trip to Independence Missouri and you may be justified in feeling what I felt at that moment- let's move to Independence, Missouri.

While at the Overland park farmers market, I was overcome with that sweet smell of baked goods, and I was hooked before I even took a bite! I asked the kind human behind the counter which was her favorite, and she recommended all of them, but said the lemon raspberry was one of her favorites! So of course we obliged and bought one, and a traditional coffee cake.But let me tell you there is nothing "traditional" about their traditional coffee cakes. They are so soft and velvety. It melts in your mouth, and is jam packed with all those perfect coffee cake flavors, times 100. This is not like the coffee cake I grew up with, it's so much better. (Sorry granny and mom)Lemon raspberry!!! Ahhhh! Literally the best coffee cake I've ever had! The lemon flavor was tart and bright, and the raspberry filling (the center layer) was creamy sweet and fruity.It was soft and velvety as well. And had a beautiful crumble top! Lemon and raspberry is the perfect combination, and was an awesome treat for these hot summer days!We will be back, and will be trying all the amazing flavors!

Yo mama: Oh my goodness these coffee cakes are divine. There are so many flavors that it is hard to choose. My first trip there, meaning it won't be my last, I tried toffee crunch, vanilla chocolate chip cheesecake, lemon blueberry, and toasted coconut. All of them are delicious in their own way! One of the owners was there and was so kind and has the place decorated super cute! I look forward to going back! They are also at the OPKS Farmers market on Saturdays.
