Wheeler Garage: Hands down this has to be one the worst customer service experiences I've ever had. I went in to purchase a $9 roll of wire. When I got the bill the total was over $15. I assumed I misread the label on the shelf and paid the bill. When they handed me the receipt there was a $4.99 hazmat charge. I questioned the salesman about the amount and his response was that is their minimum charge. Another women working at the front counter suggested I talk to the branch manager John I believe was his name. Up to this point the service was fine but I wasn't ok with paying over 50% of the cost the supply in a fee. Once the branch manager was off the phone I told him that the amount for the hazmat charge was too much. He proceeded to tell me that every place in town charges that amount. My response was Airgas didn't charge near that much. Theirs was 10% and their customer service is better also. At this point, while at the front counter, he calls Airgas to talk to his buddies to see if they charge a hazmat fee and surprise they do. I reiterated that I wasn't arguing that they charge a fee but I assured him it wasn't near the amount that Praxair did. At this point I asked for a refund and that is the last time I will go to that store. I'm sure others have had a good experiences but when I am treated this way, by a manager no less, I will not spend my money with them and I think others should be advised.

Shane McClelland: I normally exchange bottles at Nixa Hardware or AWG/Scott Gross but I was on the Westside of town so I stopped and did business at Air Gas. I paid and thought the pricing was high so I called Nixa and AWG and didn’t even give AWG my account name. Air Gas charged $96.58 & $94.53 for gas bottles and $91.08 for 33# spool of wire. AWG Quoted $76.34 per bottle exchange and $66 for the spool of wire. Shoot Nixa Hardware quoted $78.54 and $72.45 for the bottles. I went back in and asked about the pricing and was told that’s just the way it is without and account.

Weldor ,: Been a dealer since around 1990’s down by Table rock lake. They we’re still called PG Walker then. But as time goes by the good ones retire and business names change. They still have the best information for parts and whatnot .But as for the $50 stop charge and still the fuel surcharges (Said it was to difficult to take outta system,?,)Then the hazmat charge,( even if we stop @ the store for tig or welding rod)Home Depot has same materials but. No such charge.Well it’s not the same ol good gas supplies store and when asked the manager Bruce ,well he sorta tossed our LONG ESTABLISHED relationship and dealerships to the side.? -Bad business we think - Sure do miss. The drivers and salesman like old Bookout,and “The clown”. Ol John is still there and really good guy. Well that’s my two cents.Valentines Welding Llc.

Roger W: This is the first time I've ever visited AWG and right away I was greeted and helped. I came in looking for a welding helmet lens and they had exactly what I needed. The manager and employees took the time to explain what options were available for my hood and even explained differences between other hoods, brands, and options. One thing I appreciate is the fact that they didn't want to just sell me something and get me on my way but took the time to discuss in detail what is really going to work best for me as a student in school; I appreciate their honesty. I have been to other places in town and have been treated nice but here they go a step beyond and actively listen to help you purchase the best product to match your needs. Hands down this is a great place to shop and will be the place I buy my supplies from here on out. I will recommend AWG to everyone.

Jerry Teal: either way over priced for the work preformed or very bad communication. Paid 60.00 to drop of power washer pump issue. was told they would look at it and get back to me. Also the the 60 would go towards the first hr of labor if i decided to get the work done there. after calls to check on the system i was informed that it was indeed the pump and that it would be an additional cost for the part, and that was all i was to expect to pay. not the case. not what i was expecting at all, and with it taking over a month to get done definitely not in the time frame.
Joe Smith: Bought and paid for a Bannon single axle utility trailer. Received confirmation of order and being shipped to Springfield, MO store for pickup. Called right before the last day it had to arrive at store (10 days) and customer service said it was on a pallet headed to the store with my name on it. 2 or 3 days later, nothing, no call, no email. So I called customer service and store and it was lost. “Pallet Error” they called it. So they had 24 to 48 hours to locate my order and tell me the status. And again no contact from NT. The only contact they initiated was order confirmation and refund notice, so I had to call again and at this point, I wanted a refund BUT no I could not have a refund because customer service and local store refused because it was not in their possession. Well it wasn’t in my possession either but I was the one who paid for a product that NT hadn’t delivered. So 22 days after I placed my order and confirmed it was on a pallet headed to store for pickup, my wife went to store (for the 2nd time) and was told they would give us a refund because the the item is back ordered. Unbelievable. So it was sent to someone else I’m guessing. I’ve always thought if you have paid for something and has your shipping info on it, it was sent to you. Thankful I at least got my money back. Thing of it is, I really liked the trailer. I liked the design, the look, and it looked sturdy. And the thing I liked the most was the front and back gate removed so you could carry logs. Great feature. Store may be good but online orders is a roll of the dice.

In a previous situation when i had called for a qoute i had spoken to an older sales agent for pricing and the fella was fairly rude in tone when i stated i needed 20 ft. Lengths at 11ga thickness. Stating he didnt know what that was. Being i was new to pricing steel at the time i would have thought that since he was a sales person that he would have the knowledge and expertise to understand what i was looking for. Guess not. Rose metals may cost more but at least they answer the phone and are not rude to you

We did inspect it before leaving but found paint damage from the 1st shipper that delivered the bed to them.. they ran straps over the top of the boxes. (I strapped it to my trailer from underneath) .. after I noticed this, I contacted them, sent them pictures & they took care of it. I sent repaint estimates to them & they sent me a check. Very customer satisfaction goal oriented. They didn't build or paint the bed but they made it right! Good people to do business with.
