Wheeler Garage: Hands down this has to be one the worst customer service experiences I've ever had. I went in to purchase a $9 roll of wire. When I got the bill the total was over $15. I assumed I misread the label on the shelf and paid the bill. When they handed me the receipt there was a $4.99 hazmat charge. I questioned the salesman about the amount and his response was that is their minimum charge. Another women working at the front counter suggested I talk to the branch manager John I believe was his name. Up to this point the service was fine but I wasn't ok with paying over 50% of the cost the supply in a fee. Once the branch manager was off the phone I told him that the amount for the hazmat charge was too much. He proceeded to tell me that every place in town charges that amount. My response was Airgas didn't charge near that much. Theirs was 10% and their customer service is better also. At this point, while at the front counter, he calls Airgas to talk to his buddies to see if they charge a hazmat fee and surprise they do. I reiterated that I wasn't arguing that they charge a fee but I assured him it wasn't near the amount that Praxair did. At this point I asked for a refund and that is the last time I will go to that store. I'm sure others have had a good experiences but when I am treated this way, by a manager no less, I will not spend my money with them and I think others should be advised.

Roger W: This is the first time I've ever visited AWG and right away I was greeted and helped. I came in looking for a welding helmet lens and they had exactly what I needed. The manager and employees took the time to explain what options were available for my hood and even explained differences between other hoods, brands, and options. One thing I appreciate is the fact that they didn't want to just sell me something and get me on my way but took the time to discuss in detail what is really going to work best for me as a student in school; I appreciate their honesty. I have been to other places in town and have been treated nice but here they go a step beyond and actively listen to help you purchase the best product to match your needs. Hands down this is a great place to shop and will be the place I buy my supplies from here on out. I will recommend AWG to everyone.

I'm not a professional welder and the other guy's in town didn't have any patience with me and well treated me like I was a bother to them. Plus the prices were a lot cheaper than the other guy's in town. To say the least best service I have had. Store was well stocked with all welding supplies and plenty of toys for us big boys and girls. If you are a professional welder or like me just getting started in welding I think this is the place for you!

Adam Hucker: I have happily used them for years. They posted a sign that masks, shirt and shoe's are required. I have no issues with wearing a mask. I walked in and experienced an experience where I think a manager and customer were questioning what anyone would do if they didn't wear masks, neither were wearing them at the time. I will likely be looking for a better fit for my needs. Another employee was disparaging about Chinese people.

Jerry Teal: either way over priced for the work preformed or very bad communication. Paid 60.00 to drop of power washer pump issue. was told they would look at it and get back to me. Also the the 60 would go towards the first hr of labor if i decided to get the work done there. after calls to check on the system i was informed that it was indeed the pump and that it would be an additional cost for the part, and that was all i was to expect to pay. not the case. not what i was expecting at all, and with it taking over a month to get done definitely not in the time frame.
Joe Smith: Bought and paid for a Bannon single axle utility trailer. Received confirmation of order and being shipped to Springfield, MO store for pickup. Called right before the last day it had to arrive at store (10 days) and customer service said it was on a pallet headed to the store with my name on it. 2 or 3 days later, nothing, no call, no email. So I called customer service and store and it was lost. “Pallet Error” they called it. So they had 24 to 48 hours to locate my order and tell me the status. And again no contact from NT. The only contact they initiated was order confirmation and refund notice, so I had to call again and at this point, I wanted a refund BUT no I could not have a refund because customer service and local store refused because it was not in their possession. Well it wasn’t in my possession either but I was the one who paid for a product that NT hadn’t delivered. So 22 days after I placed my order and confirmed it was on a pallet headed to store for pickup, my wife went to store (for the 2nd time) and was told they would give us a refund because the the item is back ordered. Unbelievable. So it was sent to someone else I’m guessing. I’ve always thought if you have paid for something and has your shipping info on it, it was sent to you. Thankful I at least got my money back. Thing of it is, I really liked the trailer. I liked the design, the look, and it looked sturdy. And the thing I liked the most was the front and back gate removed so you could carry logs. Great feature. Store may be good but online orders is a roll of the dice.
