Amadeus “Mozart27” Perez: Well, I just had an awful experience. I call these guys and set up a 30 day rental for a backhoe/excavator. And nothing was right. I'm a sticklar for details. first we were told it would be delivered about 9am on Friday, it didn't get dropped till after 11 (granted the property may have been a little hard to find. but we informed them to call ahead to get directions). We are constantly being told the 'machine was inspected and was in good order before drop off.' But on DAY 1 there was an issue with a loose pin on the boon or bucket. (FYI: my buddy took some photos while it was still on the trailer the moment it was dropped off. So you can't say that we caused any of the damage.) They had to send someone out to fix it. and that is time lost on our renting time. and instead of replacing the pin, he cut off the old one and welded part of it back into place. Then the next day one of the tires went flat. Turns out the bead/seal breached on the tire near the rim. So the guy comes out on Saturday and reseals the tire on the rim. then the next day some time the tire goes flat again and the seal breached. Then Monday they said someone out again. this time the guy had to straighten the rim (which was bent to begin with). then resealed the tire. so out of 4 days of renting, we have been only able to operate about 1 1/2 days.Their solution was that they would only give me 1 additional day of renting, and wanted me to pay another $160 for the rim repair.I did not agree. My compromise was to have 2 additional days on rental and split the cost of the rim repair. And only because I didn't want to continue arguing about "the equipment was inspected and in working order before arriving." Well, obviously it WAS NOT inspected or someone messed up. Because we had issues on the first day. It's my guess that they probably just picked it up from one site where it was being rented out and immediately brought it to my site. My friend who used to operate these machines says the contractors do this type of behavior all the time.Also keep in mind that the person I'm speaking to at United Rental is the 'middle man.' He needed to take these 'suggestions' to his manager/owner. And I caught him a few times not relaying correct details. this matters when you are trying to deal out a compromise. I caught him saying he told his boss, 'i told him you wanted 3 days and split the rim repair.' Well, that's not what I said.They are just failing to take any responsibility. Their solution now is just to refund me my cost and come pick up the machine. I mean...ok, whatever. but now I can't complete my project.Absolute horrible experience!

Steven Yaxley: The people were good. The tool itself was terrible but that wasn't because of anything they did it didn't do.
curtisbrandon1: An absolute joke of a company. I will never suggest them to anyone. Rented three lifts before opening a house account and paid the bill before the account was ever opened. Now 6 months later, I receive letters and phone calls demanding that I pay an invoice twice the size of what I was originally charged. I’ve called to straighten the matter out multiple times and all that I ever get is led in circles and get no answers. I would say that sunbelt rentals is a very dishonest company and no one seems to know anything of the matter and can only seem to point the finger that their customer.
Jim Williams: I like Sunbelt for the most part, but this time the really underdelivered and then tried to act like all was good and normal. While I will likely use Sunbelt again, I will not be using this one in Springfield MO.

I received emails about equipment that was rented n my name out of state and they wanted me to approve payment or something. was for thousands of dollars and the sunbelt was in one state and the job site location was in another state. It was a scam! Beware of identity theft when using this company.
Dylan Mounts: Rented a cable trencher for 24 hours to install an invisible dog fence. The morning I was supposed to bring it back I went out to finish up and found my cat hanging by its leg from the wheel well of my truck. Apparently it had been climbing around and gotten itself stuck. I got it loose but its leg was very broken and I had to spend the rest of the day at the vet. When I told the guys at Sunbelt what was going on and that I hadn't been able to finish with the trencher, they told me not to worry about it and to bring it back in the morning. 48 hours later they only charged me for 24 hours. Trencher worked great, by the way.

They were awesome at talking with me and quoting several "what if we did this" examples, they showed up exactly on time to set up, and showed up exactly on time when we were done. All the employees I worked with were great!
Robert Wilson: My experience was not the best. I asked then to hold a 55 towable boom for me which they did. I picked it up approx 4 pm on a Saturday. I arrived on the job site and placed the machine for the work. I pushed the button to lower the outriggers and level the machine. The outriggers lowered, but not enough to unhitch my truck. I called the rental center at 5:40 and there was no answer. I left a message explaining I was having a problem and needed some help. There is a box where the operating manual should be but it was empty. I wasn't having any luck with the equipment so I decided to return it. I brought it back to the store at 6:30 PM and was able to unhitch the truck (maybe it was easier here due to the ground being level but I don't know that for sure) I put the key in the box where the operating manual should have been. I NEVER received a return call. The equipment was unused. I called when they opened Monday morning at 7:30 and told they where I had put the key and requested a refund. ( I had paid for two days upfront) I was told they would look into it and get back to me. I hadn't heard from them by 4 PM so I called and was told that Justin had gone home sick and to call back tomorrow. I called late morning the following day and was told there was a minimum of a days rental and they wouldn't refund that. I asked if they would in lieu of the refund give me a credit to use in the future and that was also refused. Bottom line....if you rent here expect ABSOLUTELY NO SUPPORT. You're on your own. I feel I was royally screwed out of 460.00 and will never do business with them in the future.
Heather Baker: These guys are great!! Only my second time going there and man they have a customer for life!!! The first time the service was helpful and wonderful! And the second time the road were bad and I got my truck stuck on the ice in the back area. Would you believe they helped me get it out!! I would highly recommend this place to anyone!!!
Chelsea McCall: My husband called this morning to see if we could return a machine bc im sick, we used it for 2 hours and wanted to return it for a full day today and come back the next day and finish the hours we paid for , I understand the inconvenience but the lady who answered didn't seem to care that I was sick and throwing up . Don't rent from this company if you have a family , things come up and they should be more then happy to work with you , but they were not ! Now I'm home trying not to get my kids sick while taking care of them while he finishes the job today . Whatever happened to people having a little humility for others :(
Joshua Whitescarver: I own a lawncare company and rented a seed slicer at 2:45 in the afternoon. After the machine wouldn’t work I went back to change it out at 3:45. I wasn’t able to return it by5:30 closing time so it was returned at opening the next morning and was charged an additional $44. I’ve done business with them for about five years and after this will not be going back.

We'll the blades on the overseeder were so worn that they wouldn't cut the ground. Went back to get a different one and talk to them about lost time because of poor maintenance. They just blew it off. So off we went with the next overseeder and it kept throwing belts off.The new management and ppl who work there are poor poor.P. S. Since your time line isn't correct 9am we picked up the equipment 10am we returned defective equipment 1pm returned equipment when finished. 4hours total and no the over seeder didn't work correctly. The tines even touch concrete. You can make all the excuses u wish but end of day you should have made this right. Smh. Get some better mechanics that actually maintain your equipment.And I may not have video but I do have my Google maps time-line that shows when we were at General rent and for how long. So have a good day sir.
J Bethel: I have used GRC many many times in the past. Unfortunately this experience was not a good one. I rented an auger machine on Saturday morning at 11:30 a.m. because the store is not open on Sunday, I was not able to return the auger machine Sunday. When I went to return the machine Monday morning, I was charged an additional half day rental. How is this right if you are not open on Sunday and I could not have possibly returned the machine within the 24 hours??I would not suggest renting anything on Saturday from this place unless you are sure you can have it back by 5:30

George Brown: The ladies in the place had it together! But the guys didn't, At the counter. All I should have had to do was sign the lease paper and load the equipment and go. Because my boss had already called them and gave them his credit card information and company name. And also gave them my name as the one to pick up the equipment. After 45 minutes of waiting on the counter guys, I finally got to get loaded. Not to mention that they had 45 minutes to prepare for my arrival. But as far as the equipment goes it was worthy.
