Fantastic Caverns: what do users think?
Kelsey Claiborn: I’ve seen more billboards for this place than I have stoplights on the street. I feel violated. Enough. I get it. Joshua Beerbower: Today I was with my family *they adopted me in* and we went to visit the caverns for my sisters 64th birthday. Her brother who's also my best friend was there and we were accompanied by our 90 year old mother...We had the the tour guides Darla and Larry. Darla was amazingly sweet and definitely awesome at her job, however this post is about Larry.Larry made this day one to remember and smile about forever. What a guy Larry is, let me just say that. His shameless but tactful and well mannerd flirting with our mother made this day special to us all. Our group was laughing and smiling the whole time and that's all due to Larry and his very affable personality. Heck, he had everyone laughing and smiling. He made sure this day was a special memory for us and it really started to sink in about 10 minutes just how big of a deal that was. We were all taking about how much we enjoyed him as we were driving away and I just felt like this needed to be shared.Thank you Larry. And Darla, you were such a pro helping guide mother down that steep slope in her chair, thank you!

Dana Salony: The escape room has so much potential. The castle, haunted, former military hospital aspect is really cool. However, the execution of the escape room is lacking. I've been to many escape rooms in many different cities. Never before has the game master/worker stayed in the room with the participants at any of those other locations. The entire time. Every single minute. It really altered and honestly ruined the experience. It made it so we couldn't complete the puzzles in our way, in methods that work for our personalities and minds. She was very much YOU right there, YOU have to do this right now. Or a couple times she even took things out of someone's hands and said "No. Not yet." The whole point is to let people solve puzzles and work together. She just told us what to do and how she wanted us to do it. I would recommend other escape rooms for a true experience.

Kerry Troche: This cave is incredible! So much to see. The guide was knowledgeable and interesting to listen to. The cave had a lot of tunnels to go through, some you had to stoop (not quite crawl) quite a bit for a few yards. It is not a good place to go if you cannot bend or walk on uneven ground or rocky stairs. Although it has some lighting, I recommend bringing your own flashlight so you can see deeper parts of the cave. It was pleasantly cool but not cold. Some might appreciate a light weight jacket. There are tours every hour. You can enjoy a fun gift shop afterwards with a lot of vintage type souvenirs and toys.

Bob Michaud: We're an older couple and found that we had to bend over on a couple of very low areas. I hit my head eight times on the rock passageways resulting in four good gouges. I would not recommend this adventure for people 75 and up. The tour guide was pleasant and knowledgeable. I simply had a tough time getting past the lower ceiling in some sections of this cave. It is a great cave to visit but I would recommend a hat or protective head gear.
Jayne Luker: The highlight of our 3 day Springfield trip. Our granddaughter loved the mining for gems & fossils. Tour guide was informative, the manager, staff were all welcoming & friendly. Must go again!

Latisha Morris: Great zoo, lots of animals, and chances to interact with them. They have a petting zoo, splash pad, and train tour inside. We loved getting to feed the giraffes and seeing the giant 85 year old tortoise. The snake exhibit was our daughters favorite, they had a corn snake out that she got to pet. They have maps available at the front, and easy to read signs all over the zoo. The food and drink machines only take single dollar bills, so take plenty of ones. They also have a restaurant inside if you want to get a meal. They get bonus points for the cold water fountain and bottle station at the front. So bring a bottle with you, it is a lot of walking.

Nathanael Greene/Close Memorial Park: what do users think?
Chris St. Romain: Very nice place for an afternoon stroll and take a break from it all.. Go!
Eugenia Williams: Wonderful walk at the park. Viewed lovely flowers and visited the butterfly house. The lake was calming and the benches all over gave an opportunity for a rest.
Arkan Attariya: Wonderful park. It's huge, there is a small lake and a vast variety of flowers and trees.
Sohail Ahmed: Very clean and we'll kept park and gardens. Great way to enjoy nature without leaving the city. Plants were in full bloom during visit (early June)Playground: Unique and interactive equipment. Activities cover all ages.
Paula St. Romain: Beautiful, clean place.. great for walks and picture taking!!
Alyssa Bigham: If you need a huge park to walk this your place!
Anne Griswold: This park is probably one of my favorites, as far as parks go, ever! It is amazing. It's one large park, comprised of several smaller areas (that have different names, to them) within the park.I love it so much - because no matter where you go, you feel like you're in a whole different park, with a whole different environment and foliage.Nathaneal Greene Park is also home to the Botanical Center of Springfield. It's a super neat nature center, with lots of awesome things, information, events, and even a rooftop-ish patio and gift shop. There is an old Schoolhouse, as well as an old 1800's house and farmstead setup, which is really cool - especially when they open them up, or you can go in and tour them, or when they have an event, utilizing them.Neighboring Nathaneal Greene Park is the Mizumoto Japanese Garden, which is a breathtaking sight, in and of itself! You won't want to miss the annual Japanese Fall Festival which is an amazing event that I never like to miss. #worthitTo get to the Japanese Garden, you drive into Nathaneal Greene Park, go to the left, and drive to the back, out near where the schoolhouse and homestead are. There's a decent sized parking lot back there, which is also a great place to start on one of the multiple trails that exist within the park. There's an area, Close Memorial (I believe is the name of that section of the park, that resembles the foliage and that of a Japanese style garden, containing several evergreen type trees, a bridge with a teeny pond, and gravel pathways that weave in and out between and amongst the trees. It's fun to just run around and feel like you're in a bit of a forest. There are two pavilions, at least 2 waterfountains, several areas with beautiful flower gardens, at least 2 larger playgrounds, and multiple other stops with plays capes for kids. One of the most beautiful things at the park (to me, anyway) is the gorgeous pond, and the bridge with the lovely waterfall, that faces Scenic Avenue. This park is a MUST SEE/MUST EXPERIENCE kind of park. There's a ton of space, lots of events planned within the community, and so many fun areas to explore.Park closes at Sunset, so make sure you can get to your car, before the gates to the park are closed.Playground: There are multiple places areas, all of which are fun. There are two larger ones, and some smaller ones spaced around the park. Lots of fun options!Restrooms: The only restrooms that I can think of, are either in the Botanical Center, when thats open, until like 5p. The others are right on the end of the large pavilion, near the largest playground. There is a third area over by the Pavilion, next to the (in front of the...) Japanese Gardens.Dog-friendliness: There are tons of dogs always being walked there. I believe there are dog stations for picking up after your furry friends.Picnic area: There are lots of places you could sit and have a picnic. There are two pavilions, lots of benches, or just shady areas. There are also some chairs in various spots, one or two areas in which overlook the pond. There's also another pavilion over by the Japanese Garden.
Angelica Martinez-Miranda: Love this park! Very well taken care of.Just make sure you are cautious where you step as it warms up. My 3 year old stepped on a pretty large black rat snake today. Luckily, it was pretty chill and didn’t strike just slithered away. I recommend to all my family and friends.
William Whaley: Great park ! Especially if you enjoy ornamental gardens.
Lewk Barx: Just did the date night in the gardens package for our anniversary. What a wonderful time. So romantic. Very thankful the park does this.
Joshua Joyce: The butterfly house was the star. It’s free and the volunteers are very informative. Note: please control you kids in there.
Nikki Sullins: Pretty park!
Bill Doering: Beautiful flowers, nice place to walk, many things to see.
Al Rector: Could spend days there so pretty
Lenora Watkins: This is an absolutely beautiful park. They had music in the park for free when we were there. Check their website for dates.
Chrissy Snow: Absolutely the most beautiful park in all of Springfield!! I love walking this park no matter what the season! Very beautiful and clean! Plus the flowers and landscaping is breath taking!!! The verity of flowers they grow in the spring is the most beautiful thing ever!
Kristine Walkingstick: Even though they had the bigger playground roped off for a little they still have a lot of neat places and plenty of shade!
Damon Overboe: We love this park. It has great walking/biking trails which loop a small pond and context to the Greenways Trail. The landscaping is amazing and always improving. Most bikers slow down and announce when passing. And only a few don't follow the motorized restrictions (those have also generally been the ones to not sure down or announce). That isn't the park's fault, it's people either oblivious to the restriction or they just choose not to comply. That's a 4* for humanity, 5* for the park.
Debra Kroll: Went there to eat our lunch.
william ball: Playground: We found 3 different play areas before the rain.

Mizumoto Japanese Stroll Garden: what do users think?
Cindy: Beautiful place!
Kevin Hinkle: Wonderful park and garden's. Been in Springfield for 13 years, always wanted to go, but finally did, and we are really impressed
Roshell Johnson: This was a beautiful and peaceful place to just relax and enjoy the weatherPlayground: A large place for kids to roam and playRestrooms: Could be a little cleaner however they are nicely placed for convenienceDog-friendliness: They offer doggie bags for your furry companionsPicnic area: A large place for a huge event
James Blankenship: Parts of this park are free and include playground equipment, but the actual stroll garden costs $5 for adults to get in and walk around. Might seem like an inexpensive place to visit and it is beautiful, but it's not very big. You could easily explore the entire place in 30 minutes, an hour if you very leisurely stroll about. We enjoyed our visit, but I'd be much more likely to go often if it were only a dollar. The park has paved and stone walkways, bridges, plenty of trees and some possibly historically accurate Japanese structures, but much of the plant life can be found elsewhere in Missouri. If you're looking for a special occasion picnic or have visited all the other parks in Springfield I'd recommend a visit, but I won't miss it if I don't visit again. I did like the turtle in the pond. I like turtles.
Bob Mason: Terrific garden surrounded by huge Park. Large children’s playground and open spaces.
Sara O: Worth the admission price
Arkan Attariya: I loved walking around and taking pictures. It was cloudy, warm and humid, but the scenery was unforgettable.
Adrienne Conklin: Beautiful & peaceful. Really impressive how well maintained this property is kept for the size. Definitely a must see!
Kelly Purkhiser: Beautiful experience. I had 5 of my niece's with me and the younger ones enjoyed it as much as the older.Playground: Nice place for me to take a break while they played for a bit.
Debra Kroll: Very pretty and relaxing.
tasthedingus: Awesome place to bring your turtle! We had a blast.
Tish Dingman: Love all the beautiful details in the landscape
Dave Manary: Such a peaceful place.
Arnel Alagueña: A good place to unwind.
Linda Jirka: Relies too much on trees and evergreens. Pleasant stroll. Bridges not wheelchair friendly.

Ben Wendt: A very well done museum, excellent displays and relevant information presented in a good way. I can't believe I've lived in Springfield this long and never went to this museum!
Öykü Akgül: Great museum! It is in the middle of downtown so very walkable area and parking is not problematic. They have several exhibits and all of them are super informative. I especially liked the little games on the monitors and the time travel part in the trolley. It felt like we were in a Doctor Who episode! Also Route 66 exhibit is a must see. Very clean bathrooms as well. 10/10!
Robert DelMar: It would have been a 5 star if the building's temperature was not so hot. The higher the floor the hotter it got.
Ernieb Bedell: Black History needs soon more input. I can express my views especially on the music side. I would like to think that my family contributions would be more recognized. Check my new book " Generation B Music & Melodies". Overall the museum is very well put together. Thanks to everyone contributions.Visited on Weekday Wait time No wait Reservation recommended Not sure Price for adult entry Free …More
