James Blankenship: My wife and a friend wanted to get the cartilage of their ears pierced and we tried contacting multiple locations with high reviews.Next Generation answered their phone and offered walk-ins, they were courteous and welcoming on the phone so we chose to pay them a visit.Walking in the location was a decent size and brightly lit and painted, it was clean and a member of the staff greeted us kindly and asked how they could help. The only negative comment I could make was the smell. I personally have severe allergies and someone, possibly a client had been smoking recently and the smell lingered inside. I am sensitive and so it may not bother other non-smokers.Once we told the staff why we were there we were introduced to Savannah who was polite, informative, and quite skilled with both my wife and friend saying it was nearly painless, it was quick and easy. Both agreed that they would prefer to return here for any future piercings.

Terry Emshoff: I had an infinity tattoo with ‘mom and ‘dad on it a couple years ago. It looks like a beginner did it. I also mentioned that I had wanted the symbol to look like a ribbon. Also, the lines are not good. The artist told me too bad, he had just put his inks away and that the next time I came in for another tattoo, he would fix this one for free. I felt like I was not well treated because I’m in my 60’s. I don’t have bad skin either. I felt like I was treated like the artist didn’t care about me. DT: Tattoo looked great for about a week until it peeled off then I saw it was faded. I paid $250 for this bad boy and have had it only for a few months this is crazy because my girls $60 tattoo is great after 3yrs. Artist was great to talk to but wouldn’t recommend a tattoo gonna get it redone In KC.

paige am: i love this place i always go there but the one time i got my belly pierced there it was bad the girl was very bad at it she lost the needle well it was in my bellybutton she put a little cut in me also she had to pierce me twice. it was horrible i about pasted out i know that’s normal but the way it hurt was not.

Alexis Jones: I went there to get a quote on a tattoo and piercing. The shop minimum is $100 but the employees didn’t even bother to get off their butts long enough to talk to me. They had no clients in there and they were super rude and snobby the whole time. Then when I asked about a piercing price they told me they couldn’t give me one because the piercer makes the prices.So I guess they don’t have set prices for piercings and they can charge you whatever they want. Not sure if that’s normal I thought it was weird. I definitely will not be following through with neither the tattoo or piercing.

Julianna Hogue: I was in here over the winter to get my belly button pierced. The piercing went in crooked and when I pointed it out the piercer said it was “bc it was turning due to swelling.” I waited a few weeks and it was still crooked. I went to Kaleidoscope and had the piercer there look at it. (He’s been piercing for 20 years). He said it was definitely crooked. When he took the jewelry out he said it was cheap jewelry with external threading which is more prone to infection and not a clean piercing. When getting pierced I saw the guy touch his face many times before piercing me. I should have left then. Will not be back. I’m giving two stars since they were very friendly.

He is honest and enjoys what he does and was so helpful to me. Everyone else in the shop was super friendly, too. The pricing was good too. I have several tattoos across my body and I think I've found my forever spot to go and get my tattoos done, and the piercer there is so helpful with all the questions I had, that I'm already trying to figure out a date to go in for some new piercings! Breanna Shepard: Went in to get my lip pierced, the lady who pierced it did not know what she was doing had to ask someone else if the clamp was even in the right spot and could not get the ball on. Took at least 10 minutes when it should have only taken less than 2. They also pierced my lip with a nose ring, I had to go to a different shop to get a longer bar and bigger gauged piercing since it was the wrong size. The piercing itself is also at a extreme angle, the outfit is perfect but on the inside of my lip is goes basically right on my actual lip

It was my first time getting a tattoo and this particular tattoo is very sentimental to me, because it’s my cousin’s EKG before we lost him, and I was honestly nervous with how it might turn out. She did such a wonderful and amazing job!! She stenciled a perfect match and laid it on in the exact position that I wanted it. She was so kind and talked me through the whole process and she was so right, microblading hurts sooo much worse than this tattoo did, and I got it on the inside of my wrist. I asked about doing white ink instead of black and she explained how it would lay into my skin and showed me some of her white ink in her tattoos to help me make a decision. Overall, I’m soo happy I ended up with @lilsteffieb and I would HIGHLY recommend her!! Sascha: I went to Kaleidoscope to get a septum piercing for the first time. I had no issues with my experience getting the piercing the first day. It was the experience I had the next day when I came back that was the issue. I came back to Kaleidoscope less than 24 hours later around the time that they opened the very next day; not happy with my piercing. I explained to the manager there at the time (his arm was in a sling), that I would like for the piercing to be removed due to pain and anxiety that it was causing me. I was told that I would be charged for it to be removed and I had to wait. (I understand wait times but charging me to have it removed?) I asked why I had to be charged to remove a piercing I wasn’t happy with less than 24 hours after getting it; the manager suggested I take it out myself and handed me gloves and told me I had to go outside to remove it. (There is no way I could remove this piercing without forceps) so I had to sit and wait anyway despite how much anxiety I had initially knowing I could not take it out on my own. I asked if I could have a credit to get a different piercing and I would pay for the jewelry. I was told that the “Company” would loose money if they gave me a credit for a piercing I was not happy with. I was glad to be out of there after waiting an hour just to have someone unscrew the ball on the piercing I anxiously waited so long to have out. They didn’t advice me on any after care instructions due to taking it out early either. I basically wasted $82. I wish that I was treated better while I was there. I was basically ignored and basically told I was “SOL” for being unhappy with my piercing. I think I will be going somewhere else for all other piercings in the future. Really sad that I couldn’t be accommodated in anyway by Kaleidoscope.Service:Nose piercing

We had soot sprites done, (studio Ghibli characters) and Curtis knew the character well. Its helpful to have a tattoo artist to know, what it is that hes tattooing. He was able to do more details with that knowledge! I highly recommend them!
Mse Mae: Scorpion ink tattoo is a wonderful environment all around. JJ and Donna are sweet and warm welcoming. Oso is quite the comedian with truth. Curtis is sweet and funny with a kindred soul. My artist Chad did a phenomenal job on my chest piece. Originally I came in to cover up a flower and Chad went above what I imagined. He is great at conversation and intellectually intriguing about anything and everything. He shows courteousy to his clients and is very precise. A little heavy handed on the color part but not too bad at all. He's a great guy they all are genuine and a home away from home feeling. I feel the price I paid for my chest piece is amazing for the beautiful art Chad did. Majority of my tattoo is on my breast that is the only reason why I'm not posting to Google. However please understand everybody here is just awesome and great people all around. It's always just a smile with them and I love that so much. I would completely disregard negative reviews photos or not and understand Art takes time and shouldn't be rushed and that's exactly what Chad did he took his time Thank you so much. Lance Higgins: My wife and I went to Scorpion Ink to get matching infinity tattoos because we heard that Curtis Green does good work but ended up getting his apprentice which we didn't know was an apprentice at the time. Our tattoos came out horrible so we went back and Curtis agreed and said he'd fix them when he got back from vacation.
