Carrie Cosgrove: Pool was cold. Initially.
Lisa Sloan: They do not take debit cards. There are zero signs that say that on the outside or even as you get to the register. Therefore, they let you stand in line in the heat before they verbally tell you they only take cash. Very poor in my opinion. This is the only pool I've ever been to in the last 10 years that only takes cash. Plus how inconvenient if you do carry cash and then you have to worry about theft if you have leftover money. I didn't get to go so now I still don't know if you can purchase a locker? With cash? How much? There was no board outside telling you what to expect. Must be owned by an elderly person that refuses to get with the times is all I can say because why would a swimming board neglect to inform the public? Not everyone has lived here their whole lives so they would just know. My small town pool is much much better. Plus I heard two employees fighting as I stood waiting in line. Could use better Management. Obviously

Steven J. Kasperski: Great pool to take the kids. The pool is actually very large. Has a water slide (a little on the slow side, but fun enough). There are also 2 diving boards and a splash area for little kids. There is just about nothing in the way of seats of pool chairs. Be prepared to sit in the sun if you are not planning on getting in the pool. Price is very reasonable, but they only take cash. $3 a kid and $4 an adult. Right now they are doing $1 entry with a canned good after 5:30pm.
John Waka: One of the cleanest and most well-respected pools in that area. Lots of swimming space, diving boards, and the slide. Splash pad and wading pool for the little ones SEPERATE & GATED. Andrew and Gary are two of the best attributes to Springfield Public Pools. Very friendly and a very good place to go swimming with your family.

Marsha Deragowski: My grandkids and I have always enjoyed it here. However recently we were told we could not bring the mid side tubes. The kind toy that is bought at GD or Walmart for about 6 bucks. I never send my kids in by their selves. These floats are meant for oh hand supervision as all others.But for some reason on the ones that are meant for small small children are allowed. I feel those are the dangerous ones.So needless to say this will have a a big issues on weather we return.So happy standing in water.
Amelia Markgraf: I love fassnight, but I was disappointed that we can't use our floaties anymore. We did 2 years ago, so it obviously changed since then. However, the website says we can, but they mean small ones, for like a child. Still enjoyed the pool; but the floatie issue will affect my decision to go back or not.
Trisha1114: We had a great time! Staff was kind. There is a slide, a diving board and a toddler area that's awesome. The pool and restrooms were clean.

Anand David: Not too many people in the evening. Admission prices were cheap ($4 for kids and $5 for adults). Note that concession stand pricing is expensive.

Mary Peterson: A brief stroll for exercise. There was not a lot of people there. Two children playing briefly on slides and bars. The West pavilion had a group presence that was somewhat suspicious and unnerving. They maintained their distance. One dog walker with dog on leash also strolled without incidence. Nice park area, well maintened. Frequent police presence monitoring area at times.

J.D. Arthur: Place was very dirty. I know they can't help who is at the park but most people that were there on the day I went were not people I would want my kids around. A lot of drugs and bad activities were taking place over the 4 hours we were there. As my family and I were walking the trail we found 2 needles that someone had left on the ground. I do not recommend this park for children that are not going to stay right next to parents. If the park was cleaned a little better and it didn't have so many homeless and bad people there I would rate higher.

Productive Slug: A good swimming spot if you wanna soak up the sun, or soak in the cool water. It was only $10 for my sister and I to enter and the pool never became over crowded the entire 2hrs we were there.
Charley Barnes: Meadow is closed at the moment but is being updated. Will be fantastic for next year.

Kristin Maerke: We love it this pool. All summer we’ve been driving from the south side because this pool is calm and clean. My favorite part is the wall that separates the deep end from the shallow end. It makes it easy to watch my kids and make sure they are safe. My 2yo adores the splash elements.

Then a side for humans who can swim with a diving board and really high slide that is 12ft deep.There is no where to just swim if you want to because the deep side is just for the board and slide.The facility is pretty dated along with the picnic benches. But still worth going to for children. Something for any age child.

Angel Simmons: Nice pool for kiddos for the price but bathrooms were filthy, had poop all over the toilet seats. Not a place for adult swimming, the kids basically have the entire pool. The deepest the water gets for casual swimming is 3 feet 9 inches. I would only go back if I was bringing a child here on a desperately hot day. Not to mention the children are rude and splash you in the face, we got kicked a few times from kids running up on us, and the toys being thrown hit us countless times. & the water was cloudy like it’s not being properly maintained

zx6r diva: It's summer so lots of families visiting. Great place for kayaking,fishing, and swimming if in Springfield.
Wild Guide: The beach access isn't too bad but if you are taking kayaks or canoes the six mile trip down the river remember to wear life jackets and it's too rough for young kids and lots of tree's blocking the river in places so you'll have to get out and walk in various places. Expect to get wet, it's not a good cool weather trip. You'll cross under a few bridges before the lake but don't go near the bridge at the end of the lake as it has a dam under it which drops off 30 feet or so and you don't want to go over that.
Kelly Goad: Great little fishing spot.Playground: Can't say I seen a playground but I heard a bunch of kids splashing in a part of the water. That's about all a kid needs I think. Water and mud and sunshine.Restrooms: Just going to advise taking care if this before you come here.Dog-friendliness: Super dog-friendly. Just keep them leashed.Picnic area: Picnic out of the back of your car, truck etc., or on one of the many handy boulders.

Ricky R. (Rackley.): A great place for children to play. It has a nice walking track, and improves parkour skills!!Thus beware of one of the Negative-neighbors on the West-side of the Park. I was just walking on the Sidewalk minding my own business. Was Bad-mouthed by them while they were working on their vehicle. Shows you how much down the hole today's Society has went..!!!
Malissa Mello: There is much to do. Unfortunately there is No shade over the play equipment. There are several shade trees, and the pavilion provides shade. Just nothing over the play area. It's a clean park and it's nice.

A Shoe: Wonderful place to still take the family. Little has changed in 30 years to keep this landmark a great memory. Creek is nice and cool and shallow on a hot summer day. Healthy river with tons of minnows and crawdads. Perfect place to teach kids about nature and wildlife preservation.
