We have always rented a Climate Control Unit since it is in the summer that my kids belongings have been stored, and when we come back in August to move out, everything has been just as we left it. I have demanded my money back.UPDATE : Just to be clear, I DID PRESS THE HELP BUTTON MANY TIMES ! No one came online. I went back through the many screens multiple times and all the information appeared correct with the exception of my "date of birth" which would not process after many attempts. I had also gone through all these questions and fields while at home when I originally made my reservation for the storage unit. Finally, another issue was that the screen intself was almost impossible to use as the direct sunlight was hitting the screen making it virtually impossible to see. While I was there battleing with this thing TWO other people stopped and said they had trouble making it work also.The owner was very pleasant and did refund my deposit. The bottom line is that when NO ONE is in the office during the daytime and you have a problem with the KIOSK = GOOD LUCK !

Kate Macharia: Kansas Expressway Self Storage employees were very helpful through the transition of providing me a storage unit 2 1/2 years ago, & they were just as helpful & informative when I had no longer needed the unit. They are professional & dependable. Monthly payment did increase during my last month using unit by $5-$10 due to inflation. They were good at sending emails about the recent change before payment deadline. So, it was no surprise!! Overall very pleased. My belongings being at this specific storage unit definitely gave me peace of mind. In great area away from criminal activity. A few of my furniture such as a mattress, leather sectional, bottom of dining table, & TV did get damaged a smidge due to mildew & mold. Nothing Clorox Mold & Mildew remover can’t fix. Furniture still usable after clean up except for mattress. They don’t tell you this but, I highly recommend buying plastic sheets or blankets so that there is a barrier between the item(big furniture/appliances) and direct open air. To keep your belongings dry, simply place silica gel packs(purchased at your nearest hardware store) in your boxes before sealing them. Keep items off the ground as much as possible. Obviously I wasn’t aware of doing these things considering it was my first time getting a storage unit. Take my advice & go with it far. Promise you’ll thank me later!

Pentax Fotog: I needed an indoor storage unit for a newly purchased pop-up camper. The owner didn't have one available, but he moved his new Kutoba tractor out in this sleet/snow storm so I could get my camper under cover. He even took the time to help me push the camper into the unit. That is what customer service is all about. Lot very clean and great location.

BrittaMarie Upton: I rented from this lady twice the first time was fine. The second time I rented from her was on a short notice and I had to move almost all of my belongings into the storage and move out of state to get my son and I are away from the domestic violence situation with his father. The following month I fell a little late on my payment to be exact about a week and I called her almost every day if not every day touching bases with her and letting her know that I'm still getting my storage and I would pay whatever late charges necessary, in order to retrieve my belongings. She never gave me a problem whatsoever she always said okay sounds good thank you. I called her the day before and as well as the day I was coming into town to get my belongings, and she never once mentioned to me that my storage have been broken into or that any storage buildings out on the premises have been broken into. I went up to the front office as soon as I arrived paid my fees in order to retrieve my belongings I let her know that day I was getting all of my belongings out and I would have her lock and key back to her on my way out, at that point in time I had no idea that my storage had been broken into, it took me going all the way up to my storage getting out of the vehicle and seeing a security lock on there that she placed because my walk was supposedly cut and all of my things had been scattered everywhere and clearly someone had plenty of time to go through every single box I had and pick and choose what exactly they wanted which were almost all of my Halloween decorations and almost all of my Christmas decorations, and I'm sure, many sorts of other items that have gone unnoticed till days later. She could not tell me what time or day my storage building was broken into, all she said was oops I meant to tell you, your storage building was broken into and items may have been stolen. She then said over a TWO WEEK PERIOD MANY STORAGE BUILDINGS WERE BROKEN INTO. She has a camera system, I was right by the pawn shop and they even have camras. Not to mention the fence she said they came through is in back yard of the Parole and Probation office which I am sure has camras.!! How did individuals break into tons of storage buildings over a two week period and not get caught at all or shown on camera at all??? And she didn't care enough to go back and watch camras and get a date for the customers to report their , in some cases such as mine, the ONLY belongings they have to their name?? It's sketchy if you ask me and I truly think she has a little more to do with it than she is putting out there... How many others storage buildings were broken into and given the run around ??????

Then I past due by exactly 40 days now, I've had complications with my pregnancy and I received an email that my unit is already set to sell. Never before has that happened. Not even given 60 days to be late before seeing to sell. I am beyond unhappy with the new owner.

He will still make you pay a late fee of $15 DOLLARS! even BEFORE the grace period. Which is very steep for a late fee in my opinion. He has told me that the grace period is 5 days, then I would go in on the 3rd or 4th of the month & he would still make me pay the late fee & tell me I'm late even if the previous day was Sunday, when the shop is not open! He will even block your code so you can't get into your unit after just the 1st OF THE MONTH if you have not paid yet, even if you are just dropping something off, BEFORE THE GRACE PERIOD once again! So what is the grace period for?His rules/policies don't add up & they are very vague on the policies paper. These units are just ran very unprofessional.I have been with these units for over 2 YEARS & have paid every month ON TIME! I have never had any problems with anyone before this until I have came in contact with this guy!The old owners were very respectful & professional & I wish they never sold it.

Inside is climate controlled which makes moving in winter or summer months so much easier. Conveniently located just off E Sunshine in Springfield. The inside was always spotless and didn’t smell musty or old. Always fresh and clean. Plus Ruth the property manager is so kind and very helpful. I highly recommend them and would rent again!

Aaron Scott: The best staff, coolest storage facility in town. Unique layout, too. The floorplan is made after a map of Springfield, so all the aisles coincide with major streets. Sunshine, National, Glenstone, etc ... Really easy to locate a unit if you know the layout of our fair city.

No-ones Business: I’m leaving a 1star review because I cannot tolerate businesses that are not customer friendly. I needed a unit on Xmas Eve due to some unforeseen Xmas plans. This place offered an online sign up and posted my move in date as Friday, 12/24. Perfect, I thought. Just what I needed. I was given my access code and my space number and figured all I had to do now was fill the unit. Well that didn’t happen. When I arrived I was unable to get into the building and the offices were closed. So it appears I can’t access my unit now until Monday which is too late. No where on their website do they offer a caveat that online sign up requires human interaction and one’s access may be delayed. If I cannot get a refund there will be sparks.

Amy Hunsaker-Williams: I am a licensed Realtor and professional home stager. I've utilized Sixty 5 Self Storage for a year now and I could not be happier. My home staging furnishings and accessories have to stay in prestine condition. Sixty 5 is extraordinarily clean. The doors and hallways are extra wide and they have large service elevators. The building is safe, secured, and climate controlled. The service is also spectacular. Eddie and Ruth are take excellent care of the building and their customers.
