Jordan: This company is an absolute mess. We are going on 5 months trying to switch to another provider. Their corporate office staff refuses to communicate with their drivers. They won't take their bins back. They continue to show up for pickups even though we've asked multiple times to stop and just take the bins back. We aren't under contract, they just won't communicate. Drivers are difficult about it every time, but they never resolve the issue. Our company manages around 15 small offices in the Midwest and we are dropping shred it everywhere it is possible. Prior to these pickup issues, we would get charged even when pickups didn't occur and other times they'd seem to forget our schedule.

John Kesler: Shred-it has to be the worst company I have ever dealt with, they have terrible communication and if you dont check your invoices they will sometimes charge you for extra boxes that dont exist. Also pay close attention to their service agreements or as i have found out cant get out of 60 month contracts even if the services and billing is terrible. Cant wait until my contract is up to go with someone else, since you have to pay 50% of your contract value if you want out early. Never again and I hope everyone sees this before they sign up for this crazy contract.

Tractor Mike: These folks have always been really nice and worthy of a four star rating. In previous visits they were appreciative of me wanting to recycle and being willing to pay whatever they charged to get rid of batteries and electronic equipment, I won’t go into details, but I was treated worse there yesterday than I’ve ever been treated in a customer service interaction. When I told the people in the back that their customer service skills were very disappointing they said “Yeah, we hear that a lot.” It’s very sad because treating people with disrespect sure won’t encourage recycling.To avoid what I went through, when you arrive, understand these rules. You can’t unload in the front like before and you can’t unload until being checked in. If you grab a cart and unload your stuff, they’ll make you load it back up. You have to pay before unloading and get a sheet with details of what you’re dropping off. Then you must drive around to the back (the north side) and meet the attendants to unload. It seems like a very cumbersome system versus unloading in front, having them look over your items and then paying,, but that’s the process. I don’t want my rating to discourage recycling because I’m passionate about it, but I’d sure hate for anyone to go through what I went through yesterday. YOU MUST BE PREPARED TO FOLLOW THEIR RULES and everything should go fine.

Dennis Kidd: Never been treated so disrespectfully to pick up my husband’s package. I’ve picked up plenty of packages here with no problems but now, they Said that he can call to verify that I can pick up the package THEN changed her mind as I was calling and say I need a copy of his drivers license to pick up our package. No that we can even come back later since they close whenever they want no matter what the hours on the door say. Very lazy customer service.

C Williams: 3/4 times there are more staff than customer and there is a 10 minute line. No drop boxes, you have wait. They also don't stock UPS boxes, specifically so they can charge $5 to $8 dollars for their boxes, even if you are overnighting or 2nd day air. I ship a lot and try to only use this a a drop off, but that still takes 10 minutes.

B B: If I had entered a review a month ago, it would have been 5 stars for their friendly helpful service in the past several years. Today was horrible. I had an item to return to Amazon. I had printed the return label and handed it to the lady. I'd given them items before without packaging and it was no big deal. She said it'll need a envelope, not telling me that'll be a charge; will a padded one be okay. I said sure, if that is what they need to do. Then at the end she tells me that'll be $3 for the packaging. What? Waving the label, she said what do you think this label is for, it attaches to a package, duh. I said forget it, I'll use my own package and wanted the return label back so I could attach it to my own packaging. She said she had to cancel the label. What? Asked how am I to return it then. Told me to call Amazon and figure it out. I got angry and said what the F (I apologize for the outburst) and demanded my label back. The man in there overhearing this told me to leave and never come back. Wow. What a switch in customer service. Time to use a different UPS location. I cannot recommend this place. They need to train their people in customer service.I did call Amazon, they were super! I asked for a new label. They took care of the return and told me not to worry about returning the item, and that the refund will be handled. That is the way customer service is to work, help the customer, not hinder them.

I understand 10 minutes before close may be frowned upon, yet again, that's still 10 minutes of business, so the attitude was unnecessary. She slammed the scanner down on the counter, and could not fake anything other than a look of disgust at my existence. There were two other customers, at other registers, and one walking in the door, I was not going to be there past close anyway. She should look for another job, or learn to fake some customer service, because this is what UPS has representing them.

This UPS worker Chris basically and literally "played dumb" with me about my request, did't assume response-ability (ability to respond, aka responsability) for a UPS mistake, and abruptly and unprofessionally hanged the phone on me as I was talking. Is that a "Missouri" thing? I am all for quality customer service. I have travelled a lot but never got this type of mistreatment from branded, bona-fide companies. Is this ill treatment just because I have an accent and Missouri people are not so used to, or open to foreigners? Just because I got a bit upset and do not accept their B.S. response like other clients might do? Anyway, no possibility of dialog at all both with the hotel and with this so-called "manager" at UPS, whose customer service response was AWFUL! She needs to at least be given a chance to learn (or relearn) about how to deal eith people and how to work and behave in an international brand like UPS, which has fierce competition from DHL, FEDEX, USPS, and other medium size companies. This is actually very upsetting about UPS and makes me see the brand with disgust.Actually, this is the second time I have an issue with a so-called UPS manager. The other time was in Kyle, Texas, when I suggested them to install a cell booster on their store due to the very poor internet service they had for their clients to access their phones to accessamazon package returns. I was basically disrespected again, even if trying to help other customers. I wonder how do UPS chose or promote some of their managers (if they are truly so and not a lie to "show power")... Would it be based on their people skills, or only on technical, or "shark" skills?

Sharon Kim: A package came today and before I could get to the door the driver took the package with him to his delivery truck. The slip they left said I would have to pick it up at the UPS store. I have trouble walking so it takes time to get the door and I don't have a car to go get it but what makes me really mad is that I was not able to speak to a human! hanna lyn: I've been to this location multiple times, as I live and work nearby. I have also used their notary before. Today was a very interesting experience because I was charged for their stamp and signature, which has never happened before. There was a couple of men that used the notary before me that were not charged. The book I have to sign had their signature and zero dollar amount right above my name. I was first lied to by the notary that it was a state law, which I know isn't true based on the free notary their before and the other businesses I've used. When I pointed out that she didn't charge the men, but she's charging me, her reasoning changed and said it was because they were independently operated. Business policy is one thing, but picking and choosing who you apply policy to is discrimination

Krishn Prasad: Charged me $5 for picking up at a SHIP TO UPS OFFICE option, and it was SAME DAY PICK UP, why did you unlawfully charge me for a WHOLE DAY?- ups is using deceptive practices or, non-marketing - aka no notification with associated sellers offering "FREE" shipping to UPS office - scheme to unethically coerce $5 from unsuspecting persons who have shipped orders to a nearby office for pick up, otherwise UPS will hold their package as ransom. UPS contact me asap to solve this, you charged for for a service that you 1 - did not make clearly known in any way, shape or form, about this fee even through your partner sellers, and 2 - I picked the package up within 5 hours of the same day of it being delivered. In NONE of the EMAILS that your worthless company sent to me about my package, nor anywhere on your asinine website do you mention anything about this egregious fee, nor have any of your seller partners been updated with this strict notification. I shouldn't have to pay for your company's incompetence. Contact me asap

The employees have no idea what they are doing and what they are supposed to tell guests using the services, which leads to poor management and training! A nasty "Karen" came in just after me, saw a long line (maybe 4 people ahead of me) and started taking photos of the customers and the staff. I was uncomfortable as I had my daughter with me, and thankfully one of the staff (I unfortunately didn't get her name) told her politely yet very firmly to stop and to delete the photos from her phone. The Karen argued but the staff was firm and told her she would be calling the police if she didn't delete the photos. I, as a customer lacking a stick up my rear, was so relieved and felt protected in this store today. Amanda helped me at the desk a mere 5 minutes later after swiftly helping the rest of the people in front of me, and although the Karen had harassed her specifically for making copies (which she was doing for a customer) she handled everything with poise and with polite customer service.
Cassie McAlister: Dropped off a shipment to be mailed on 10/20/22. Never shipped. Called spoke to Alaina- had to call back as she never came back on the line after 5 min.- she had no idea why my package was still there. No apology, very short with her words. Asked for a refund of shipping- she said no and she was the manager.I asked her for her manager she said she was at another location- Alaina didn’t know her title or position but her name is Tammy at Sunshine.Don’t drop your packages off here as you cannot be sure they will even be shipped. When they make a mistake, no apology, no reimbursement on shipping, nothing. Just unacceptable customer service.

Didn't even greet me then said I had to come back. I couldn't go back because the ride I had couldn't bring me back. The woman just needs a better attitude when dealing with people.
Sopheap Takahashi: We brought an Amazon package in, to be returned to Amazon. And found that it was never shipped from the store or someone has definitely been dishonest about our package and have stolen it or have lost it. I would not trust this UPS store. Tried calling to work things out and have not responded.

Then when you make contact with them the manager Jessica does not call back and then lies stating she never got the 4 messages to call. After contacting UPS corporate Jessica returns the call. She bad mouths her employees saying they are having trouble with the the store. She accused the gentleman that I spoke to all four times of not giving her the message to return my call. After asked to speak to the owner requesting they honor their stores mistake she stated she would and then call back. She never called back. After reading reviews I see this is how the owner runs their store. The associates in the store was very polite and did what they could to help. If you want your package to arrive at the destination go somewhere else. This place is TERRIBLE!!!!!!!!

Need To See The World: Haven’t been to this location in quite a while. What a refreshing surprise to walk into a store and be greeted with a smile and helpful attitude. Although I only had to drop off an Amazon return, it was a pleasant experience. The person named Dom should be recognized for his good customer service.
All About Paint: Used to be a good place, but here lately there's always a line and nobody seems to know what's going on.Edit: Removed a star from 2 down to 1. It has actually gotten worse. I really wish they would just drop off my packages at my house.

John Durbin: I've used this location for the past 23 years for my business needs but never again. Intelligent service has been declining for the last couple years but I try to understand with the change in quality employees that are available. Today though I needed to next day deliver some important documents. Simple. 4 employees in the store I think, and they didn't know what to do. I was quiet and patient while they tried to figure it out, but eventually I calmly said that I didn't think they knew what they were doing, I picked up my documents and started silently walking out of the store. Then one of the employees there said "Just leave then". I said what? His reply was " Don't talk, just get out." Repeatedly he told me to be quiet, stop talking and just leave. I never spoke loudly or rudely at all. I've got a formal complaint into The UPS Store corporate office and supposedly I'll hear from the owner of this location soon, but I just couldn't believe how rude this ignorant little immature boy was behind the counter. He refused to give me his name but I can identify him if necessary. And it's a small area with him talking loudly so if there was a store manager he would have easily heard what was going on and they did nothing. I've used this location since 1999 but never again.

Jason Mayer: After having such a great experience with the UPS store in Scottsdale, it made me realize how bad this store is. There is a guy there, with a sleeve tattoo, who is amazing. Sadly I don't know his name. I have dealt with him several times. But 2 times I have dealt with 2 different younger "kids", that have been rude and disrespectful. Being from a customer service background, I can say the tattoo guy should be a manager or supervisor of some kind, but the owners of this store should either provide him with ample help, show up to work themselves, or close the store. Maybe they work a few hours a week, but I have been in that store almost 20 times in the last 30 days and have never seen anyone in charge if it isn't the Tattoo guy.
James Thurman: Had a package delivered there to pick up after work because the hours are listed till 7pm. They close at 5pm.
