Scott Kelbell: Sound Biblical theology (orthodoxy), a helpful liturgy(orthopraxy), a loving Christ centric congregation.
Doc Trins O'Grace: Sound Reformed doctrine, excellent biblical instruction, very kind and caring leadership. You won't go wrong biblically here -- unique to Springfield. Having just moved here from Minnesota ... We have happily joined.
Karen Denise: We recently moved to Springfield and began attending and are extremely thankful to have found this church. Solid reformed teaching, friendly and welcoming congregation. Highly recommend for those looking for "meat" rather than the milk typically found these days. Children and infants are included in the main service; Sunday school is held afterward with separate class for children.
David Orthman: A Traditional Presbyterian Church (Associate Reformed Presbyterian), truly Reformed and Presbyterian but with a uniquely Missourian identity.
Shannon Wilson: This is a reformed presbyterian church. Anyone is accepted and loved here. You can read the Apostles Creed and the Nicene Creed to get a solid idea of what we believe in here. We would love to get visitors who may become members one day. 😊

Penny Epperson: Good, biblical teaching. The elders are well trained in the Word. The congregation has been warm and welcoming. The music is delightful. This is a must visit if you are looking for a reformed church. They also have streaming service and you can attend online or visit on Wednesday nights as well. Feeling blessed to have found this church and it worth our drive to get there.
airiauvae haner: This church has a culture of gossip, overprotective parents, and rumors. The elders are extremely judgemental. The counseling is not kept confidential. You keep counseling confidential the only reason it wouldn't be confidential is if someone wanted to harm themselves. Counseling is not kept confidential because of people wanting to judge slander and gossip. The church does not stay out of your business. I advise you not to go to this church and do what is best for your family. Have a good day.

Justin Maupin: Love this place! They are such sweet and nice people! I go Here every year with my daughter for the trick or treating for Halloween! There amazing people and other people can't say other wise! And there not judgemental at all! Love that about them!

Jeopardy Player: Should not join or attend in our opinion. We went there several times during the summer of 2018. We began to be concerned about the spirit of bitterness within the congregation. We soon learned about allegations of abuse by the leaders through excessive church discipline practices and use of authority. We sought counsel from a pastor friend in another church who confirmed these allegations and warned us not to attend any longer. We go elsewhere now.
Southwest Missouri Marketing: We don't recommend this church to anyone. My husband and I and our kids went there 3 times over several months. We'd just moved to Springfield and were looking for a church. The first time a group of people were at a table criticizing another church called High Street. The second time we were at a another table with a different group and they were speaking ill of the big James River church over on Hwy 65. The last time we tried it a group of people were tearing down a former staff person. It seems like a church that thinks they're the only ones going to heaven.

Dawn Smith: I love it. True biblical teaching. No lies or watering down of God's Word to get you and keep you coming to pay for administration costs. It is not a mission church that caters to the lost but is a fellowship of believers where everyone is welcome to sit in on and receive the Gospel truth. Where the focus is on the body of Christ and how to get us to a closer understanding of God and our purpose in life. The message does not spare the truth and to the lost it is offensive. The music is contemporary mix and lead by an incredibly gifted worship leader. The pastor sermons are available online and you will discover he will open the passages like you have never seen before locally. Not a lukewarm church. It practices church discipline when biblically called for just like the bible modeled. 9am Sunday school- 10am fellowship as break fast -10:30 service

Rita Clarke: Greatlight is such a fantastic family church, Pastor Al and his lovely wife Susan, make you feel welcomed that you will return again and again..
Susan Garard: Great Light Baptist is a caring and loving congregation. We are certainly not perfect by any means. We allowed Kathy Bruxvoort to live in our church's basement during a hard season of her life and bought her furniture for her apartment, and visited her daily while she was hospitalized for 5 months. May God open her eyes to see how the Holy Spirit works in peoples lives. We demonstrated Christian love towards her and her family. We wish her well in her new church family.
L- JO: I would say that God has really blessed this place with an abundance of God fearing men. They have so many wonderful people and leaders. I was really impressed with the mature teaching being presented. It's a small church but a fervent one. The singing is hymns. They are very clearly hold to the five solas of the reformation Faith Alone, Grace alone, Christ Alone, Scripture Alone, for the Glory of God Alone. Which if you don't know what that is, go there and they will thoroughly explain the historical and biblical significance of those teachings.
