Temple Israel: what do users think?
becky supak: This has been my shul for over 40 years. It is the sole voice of Judaism In Southwest Missouri and serves as a beacon to all who are exploring and practicing the faith. We are blessed with a large number of converts whose vitality make the congregation much stronger and whose contributions are immeasurable. We have wonderful lay leaders who create beautiful services when we don’t have an available Rabbi. It is a place to find peace and a stronger connection to G-d.
Sultan Zahirsha: Nice facility.
E M: Incredible temple with lovely, welcoming members.
Sarah Okeson: One of the decisions I regret most in my life is joining this synagogue. I moved to Springfield with my 3 daughters in 2010. Another mom at the temple was interested in my oldest becoming friends with her daughter which I encouraged. They are prominent members of the temple. The dad in the family referred my dad to an attorney for advice in putting a case together to remove my kids. When the attorney told my dad that problems with my parenting weren't grounds to remove my kids, my parents and this family worked to put a case together. It took me two years to get my two youngest back, and I never reconciled with my oldest who was murdered in 2021. My parents remained friends with this family. After my daughter was murdered, my ex-husband blocked me from being able to bury our daughter until I agreed to use a plot belonging to this family. I assume the point of this is to prevent me from being buried near my daughter when I die. Another condition I had to agree to was to give up any say in what would be on my daughter's gravestone. I agreed to these conditions because my priority was giving my daughter a Jewish burial. It is more than a year since my daughter's funeral, and she still doesn't have a gravestone. I am not sure why because I gave up any right to be involved with that. I moved from Missouri after the murder of my daughter and am no longer a practicing Jew.
merlin coffee: Technically a Reform Synagogue but you are welcome and appreciated. Services have a lot of Hebrew with English as well. Great school, small active community.
Pete Garcia: Would I be able to congregate even though I’m not currently Jewish?? I’m so interested in the faith and would love to gain some insight as I have Jewish family members
Joe Ellis: Nice change of pace for someone who isn't Jewish. Very welcoming
June Weiss: This is my home Temple.
dustin guiles: Beautiful temple
