Jennelle Courtois: I shopped around for glasses, and I am so glad that I landed at Stanton Optical! I dealt with Kirsten who was phenomenal! I gave her the vague instructions of wanting something "fun", but not crazy. I tried on a couple of pairs while she put together a selection for me to try. Kirsten held up a pair for me to try, and I told her they were too big. She encouraged me to try them on, anyway. I immediately fell in love with them!! Kirsten is extremely talented at choosing the right frames, and her customer service is top-notch!! Thank you for a wonderful, fun experience!!

I’ve been waiting over 3 weeks for my glasses and still haven’t received them. The website will give me a date, and then when that date comes it updates again and pushes it back another week. Then repeats. I have called customer service and every time I call I am told that my glasses have been shipped and they will be there the next day….. I’m still waiting and no one can seem to tell me what’s taking so long. The other pair I ordered is still in the lab, apparently so I’m not sure when I will get those. At this rate it will be 2 months after my original appointment. If you can go any where, please do. This place is a joke.
MO Green Acres: We called for an appointment for our daughter, and the call goes to a call center not the office. We live 45 min out of Springfield. They had an appointment in 20 minutesWe told the guy we couldn't make it that fast. He said he had one at 4:30 (hour and a half) so we took it. On the way we get a call from someone at the office telling us that unless we are there for a 3:45 Appointment and beat the 4pm person there our daughter will not be seen.We just made it before the 4pm person, only to be told that there is no doctor in the office, and asked if we'd been made aware of that when we scheduled the appointment. No we weren't! They planned to do the exam telemetry. No thanks, we won't be back.

Poppy Cafasso: Honestly if I could leave lower than 1 star I would. First of all I scheduled an appointment and when I got to the office for my appointment they didn't have a Dr in. They gave me a Voom video exam. After having the exam I was told that they couldn't get me to 20/20 so I would have to come back for appointment with the Dr. He was busy the next week he was in so I had to schedule 10 days out. After seeing the doctor and receiving my glasses I told them right away that there were no bifocal in my glasses and that the prescription wasn't right because I had very blurry double vision. They told me to try them out for a couple of weeks because it takes time to adjust to a new prescription. I came back in 2 weeks later and told them it was not better and I know that there is no bifocal in them. They readjusted the frame and said it was crooked and that what caused the issues, assured me that they were seamless bifocals and I just needed to try and get used to them for another couple of weeks. I came back in again and the office was closed in the middle of the afternoon due to short staffing, so I had to drive the hour drive again the next day to come back for the 5th time now. I was told I was past my 30 day refund period and there was nothing they could do for me now short of paying for another eye exam and paying another $600 for glasses. Btw... I went to another place and they informed me that I was correct, my glasses had my old prescription put in and no bifocals, but still they won't refund my money or correct the prescription?

Lisa Goin: Shady and Dishonest! Made an appointment for an eye exam for same day glasses. Arrive for my exam, do the preliminary testing, go in the room for the exam to discover it is a telehealth exam! Was never told that I wouldn't be receiving a normal eye exam by a live doctor! After the telehealth exam I was told that one of the tests couldnt be done so I had would have to see the doctor in person the next week! So much for same day like they advertise! Fast forward to the exam with the doctor. It takes a whole 5 minutes, simple basic single vision glasses needed. I proceed to pick out my frames and pay for them. THEN they tell me I will get them in 6 to 10 business days!!!! How can they advertise same day glasses when it takes 2 weeks to get them. That is the reason I went to Stanton is for the SAME DAY glasses they advertise . Won't get my business again!

I had the opportunity to be helped today by I believe was the sales manager . She was very knowledgeable about her inventory and her job she also went above and beyond on helping not only me by getting my glasses to me same day but also my daughters problem she was having with her glasses . Even though they were under staff I didn’t feel rushed at all I felt at ease through the whole glass buying experience thank you for your professionalism.

Tyla Cozort: The optometrist changed the prescription after saying nothing had changed. Unable to use the prescription that was given, told there were several prescriptions in the system when I returned. Contacts hurt eyes for weeks and unable to provide correct prescription for several more weeks. After getting very upset they magically found a set of contacts in correct prescription AND brand in the back. Don't trust them to return to have another exam to get correct prescription for glasses.

Jacob Randall: Felt it better to summarize my issues, instead of the whiny original review.I've been given false information multiple times and I'd say it's partially responsible for additional costs. Because of this I still don't understand how hard contacts work and gave up on them.I had my original order delayed by a month.I was pressured into buying soft contacts instead of hard over the course of two months.Employees have said on multiple occasions they would call me back. Over half the time they don't.Employees have pushed issues off onto management. To be fair failures of management exist but that doesn't fix my issues.I have been talked down to.I have had not accurate prescriptions pushed onto me in the name of saving me some money.The hard contacts I received didn't fit properly.The last two soft contact prescriptions I couldn't see clearly without straining my eyes. The last soft contact prescription "uncorrected" my eyes so badly that they gave me worsening double vision up until I took them out and put on my glasses. Even then the double vision stayed with me for the rest of the night. Fortunately they corrected by morning.All together I have no faith in the staff. I've been repeatedly lied to/given false promises/inaccurate information. It gives me the feeling no one actually knows what they're doing.I think that way because this whole process took 3 months and I'm no closer to having a functional prescription than I was on the very first day. I'm actually further because I've lost money doing a whole lot of nothing.

At a few minutes after 4 I had a pair picked and they informed me that it 4pm was the deadline to be able to get them the same day. So I had to drive 2 hours back home and then another 2 back the next day to pick them up. The glasses started having issues after just a few months. They never emailed me my prescription like they were supposed to and when I called to get it they said policy changed and now they can no longer email the prescription’s. Horrible experience with cheaply made glasses. Wouldn’t recommend for anyone!!

Our eye exam appointment was 2 weeks ago. They had us do a virtual exam with an eye doctor. I wasn't sure how this would work but trusted the process. I was so pleasantly surprised! The technician did all the physical work and then the eye doctor asked me questions and looked over the results. I do this this way of doing things was very efficient. I will be using them forever from now on! I'm in love with my glasses and the customer service. The selection of frames and options were very clear and super reasonable. I just can't say enough good things, can I? Highly recommended from my family to yours!
