L S: Couldnt get the phone to be answered when i called for a materials qoute. In a previous situation when i had called for a qoute i had spoken to an older sales agent for pricing and the fella was fairly rude in tone when i stated i needed 20 ft. Lengths at 11ga thickness. Stating he didnt know what that was. Being i was new to pricing steel at the time i would have thought that since he was a sales person that he would have the knowledge and expertise to understand what i was looking for. Guess not. Rose metals may cost more but at least they answer the phone and are not rude to you

We did inspect it before leaving but found paint damage from the 1st shipper that delivered the bed to them.. they ran straps over the top of the boxes. (I strapped it to my trailer from underneath) .. after I noticed this, I contacted them, sent them pictures & they took care of it. I sent repaint estimates to them & they sent me a check. Very customer satisfaction goal oriented. They didn't build or paint the bed but they made it right! Good people to do business with.

Was told by jim he “couldn’t get to it this week but will next week”.I called two weeks later after not hearing a thing. “It’s Thursday so we won’t get to it this week, but I might get on it next week.”I swing by the shop the next Wednesday midday. My pieces were sitting in the exact place I left them when dropping them off 3 weeks prior. I grab them and walked out, Jim not making a noise or attempt to stop/apologize/make an excuse.I can’t comment on the quality of work but I definitely won’t be going back. Safe yourself some time and go to Rose Metal over on Division, they finished the pieces in less than a day.

Ray Cook: Used to love coming here. After telling Big Boy what I was needed he sent me into shop to look for pieces. After searching small pieces finally found the size that I was needing. But come to find out after my 30 minutes of searching it was not cold rolled and it would be tomorrow before they could cut any cold rolled down.

steamy sloth777: Very bad customer service. I asked them to do something the first time and went to go pick up the finished product. On arrival the fat guy asked how i wanted to pay for the product. I asked him if i could at least see the finished product before buying it. He huffed and puffed since he is very overweight and opened the door to the back of the office and pointed at the finished product. I then asked him if i could get hands on the product before I bought it and he said "sure go look at it". I found that the work I had asked to be done was not done correctly so i called him over from 50ft away. he was winded from the 50ft walk and on his arrival I questioned why the work I asked to be done wasn't done. He began to make excuses stating that I didn't explain it correctly to him. I explained to him that the metal edges were not completely folded over like I had requested and instead they were folded at a 90 degree angle. He then again blamed me and said it was going to cost me more money to get the metal folded over flat at a 180 degree angle. I told him if he would have done it right the first time there would be no problem with the finished product. Usually a company will have excellent customer service and not try to sell you a product that they messed up and try to fix the situation for the customer. Not this company. If I hadn't of asked to see the finished product before hand, I would have been screwed. What kind of company tries to sell you a product and doesn't even want you to look at it before purchasing it. I bet money if the obese guy who works in the front office somehow didn't work there anymore, there business sales would go up and the customer service satisfaction would be much better. We'll just have to see about the fat man who is a master at blame shifting the problem onto the customer.

LG5150: I bought some "AR500" plates there for target practice. I shoot a lot! I shoot my 9mm and its fine. Shoot my AK47 (7.62x39) and it leaves a dent. I pulled out my AR15 (5.56 nato) and it went through the metal. I have had issues with bullet fragments coming back to me at 25 yards and hitting me. Once in the chest, (went through my shirt) and once in my man sack, (right through my pants and into my nut sack). I don't recommend them for shooting plates.
