Hippo: Dropped some pieces off to get worked on. Was told by jim he “couldn’t get to it this week but will next week”.I called two weeks later after not hearing a thing. “It’s Thursday so we won’t get to it this week, but I might get on it next week.”I swing by the shop the next Wednesday midday. My pieces were sitting in the exact place I left them when dropping them off 3 weeks prior. I grab them and walked out, Jim not making a noise or attempt to stop/apologize/make an excuse.I can’t comment on the quality of work but I definitely won’t be going back. Safe yourself some time and go to Rose Metal over on Division, they finished the pieces in less than a day.

Ray Cook: Used to love coming here. After telling Big Boy what I was needed he sent me into shop to look for pieces. After searching small pieces finally found the size that I was needing. But come to find out after my 30 minutes of searching it was not cold rolled and it would be tomorrow before they could cut any cold rolled down.

steamy sloth777: Very bad customer service. I asked them to do something the first time and went to go pick up the finished product. On arrival the fat guy asked how i wanted to pay for the product. I asked him if i could at least see the finished product before buying it. He huffed and puffed since he is very overweight and opened the door to the back of the office and pointed at the finished product. I then asked him if i could get hands on the product before I bought it and he said "sure go look at it". I found that the work I had asked to be done was not done correctly so i called him over from 50ft away. he was winded from the 50ft walk and on his arrival I questioned why the work I asked to be done wasn't done. He began to make excuses stating that I didn't explain it correctly to him. I explained to him that the metal edges were not completely folded over like I had requested and instead they were folded at a 90 degree angle. He then again blamed me and said it was going to cost me more money to get the metal folded over flat at a 180 degree angle. I told him if he would have done it right the first time there would be no problem with the finished product. Usually a company will have excellent customer service and not try to sell you a product that they messed up and try to fix the situation for the customer. Not this company. If I hadn't of asked to see the finished product before hand, I would have been screwed. What kind of company tries to sell you a product and doesn't even want you to look at it before purchasing it. I bet money if the obese guy who works in the front office somehow didn't work there anymore, there business sales would go up and the customer service satisfaction would be much better. We'll just have to see about the fat man who is a master at blame shifting the problem onto the customer.

Mike: If you love metal working or wood working you will love this store. There is a large selection of both metal and wood working equipment. The store is clean and well laid out. The store also has a large showroom.I have not bought any of the metal equipment but I have bought a few woodworking machines and they are all of good quality.One other thing the store in Springfield is at the corner of two busy streets which makes it easy to find.

Frank Kennedy: Edit: They ultimately accepted that the item was missing and they replaced it in a timely manner.- - - - -A missing $16 item turned into an ordeal to get it replaced. Pretty unfriendly. Otherwise bargain tool quality is appropriate for the price and similar to Harbor Freight.

Arpit Phanshikar: Huge selection of woodworking and metalworking tools. As a woodworker you can spend hours here and explore so many options. Great prices. Although during my only visit here no one really assisted me. May be they were short staffed.The person at the checkout counter was friendly and courteous.

Paul: My son brought a planer though the scrach & dent, so no warranty. My planner just quit me today. So I called the technician, they are sending me the parts that I need to fix it. So far it's only costing me $7.90. They are so good to work with,and they keep apologizing for what has happened. I hope that what they are sending works,we will find out. Thanks again to the technicians for being so easy to work with and helping me out.
