Curtis “SacrificialLamb” Sliffe: It takes a lot for me to give ppl bad ratings. Hey, check it out. Love it here. The rooms are quaint n cozy. They have an almost rustic look to them. As if you'd stepped back in time! Way cool! Big full breakfast. Scrambled eggs, sausage, biscuits, sausage gravy, bagels, etc.! And best of all. They have an indoor climate controlled pool area. Love it here!

Ced: I stayed there for 1 night, & suffered 2 dog attacks by white people who intentionally set their dogs upon me. 1 dog was a pit bull. I reported this to motel staff, & they did absolutely nothing. If you are a person of color, you are NOT safe at Lamplighter Inn & Suites.Noteworthy details: Lamplighter Inn Suites appear to welcome racists bigots as guests, seem to tolerate their racially harmful behavior. People of color are not safe at this location.
Kheana McGaughy: This is one of the worst places to go, they break their own policies, and when unsupervised kids are rough housing and being disrespectful they turn in the favor of kids when false allegations are made just because of my race! Cops were called and I was detained in my room for questioning for hours all for the the cops to tell me in the end that the hotel staff broke their own policy and that they just had to get statements because video wasn’t that good. Not to mention multiple witnesses that are in fact adults, and asked the kids to stop multiple times before I did and it resulted to this which I was the only one cops were worried about. When I contacted the hotel property about a refund they refused because someone was arrested when in fact no one was arrested we were not escorted off of property and cops even apologized for the inconvenience. This is highly unacceptable from any business to not take accountability from their own faults.Noteworthy details: Horrific
Peg Kirby: Room dirty, no bath or wash towels, internet did not work, halls, everything needs painted, phone broken, pillows flat, no sheet only a blanket no clock, ice machine broke, several restrooms by bar closed, tub cold water sprayed all over floor as the knob was shot, very dangerous and slippery long hairs in tub, ants around their free breakfast area nd more.
Becky Barsness: This place was disgusting, holes in the bathroom door, hole in wall behind main door, missing pictures with hardware still up and hole in the wall where picture should have been. Bed looked like someone had sat or slept on it. Floor was disgusting not vacuumed, controllers for the air was either really dirty or black mold. So they upgraded us to a suite that the ceiling was falling in from a leak above as well as wall starting to collapse from the same leak and definitely mold on wall and air controllers. Do not stay here.

Donna Garroutte: The first room we got the toilet did not work and the hot tub was loud when it wasn't used. When we had to go to the front desk because they did answer the phone from the room. At the end of our stay we weren't allowed to get a receipt. When we checked in and checked out it was like we were bothering the employees. By them rolling their eyes and lack of customer service skills. I will not be back.

viorica tuna: Dirty beds. The sheets were not changed at all. There was someone else's hair in the bed and stains all over the sheets. There was also a white stain drip on the bed skirt from a males private part... the shower was a nightmare because the temperature kept changing from cold to warm to hot. The shower was dirty and had black gunk all over the water knobs. The freezer compartment to our freezer was hanging off. There was no TV remote. There were white stains all over the cuckold chair. The ice machine was outdated and broken. I don't know who the heck in their right mind prepared that room and told themselves that it was clean and ready to be booked because it was disgusting and an absolute joke!!! If you don't want to catch hepatitis or syphilis then I would suggest you book somewhere else!!! It is definitely not worth the price. We have stayed in cheaper and cleaner places than this!
Faith Marie: I don't know her name, but whoever works evening check-in on Sunday was awesome! We had booked third party and didn't actually get the room we ordered, but she was super helpful and set us up with a room that worked just as well! She was very friendly and good to work with.The building and rooms themselves are outdated, but have clearly been upgraded and maintained. Sheets and bedding and everything were clean, and the bathroom was nice and clean. No hairs in the shower or anything.What you get for the cost is a good value! Indoor pool was warm and fun, and breakfast was decent and free so no complaints!Only thing to mention is, if you want water bring plenty. I couldn't find anywhere to refill water cups.

Teresa Cruise: I have to say they are trying to remodel this place and control the Rif Raf, but not quite there yet. The overnight desk clerk was very nice and accommodating, yet she would ask what brought you here. Lol. The first room had no curtains hung, and the second room heater had a dusty smell. The TV didn't work. The outlet block didn't work, so charging the phone was not available. The rest of it was good and remodeled. I didn't care for the rolling barn door for the bathroom. You could see through the cracks and no way to lock it besides too long and marking up the nice new flooring. It is an older hotel with potential and worth it if saving money. It did have a new clean fee, especially the updated bathroom. The door locks were finicky. The continental breakfast was carb only, so I had to go next door to Ziggys. It also sits next to a gentleman club, so just be aware. It was quiet for sleeping.Safety: When I pulled up there was a K9 police car so they know the location.

Caroline McNutt: Front desk staff was so friendly and accommodating when we checked in about 15 minutes after their happy hour appetizers had already been put away. They brought everything back out ro the kitchen just so we can make a plate for ourselves, which was filling enough so that we didn’t need to go out looking for a restaurant to have dinner.Our room was clean and quiet, and we appreciated getting a good night's rest before continuing on our road trip. The hot breakfast buffet was refreshed frequently by staff and there was a large seating area to accommodate everyone.We've only stayed at a handful of Drury Inn locations over the years, but each one was excellent, including this one right by the I-44 in Springfield. Highly recommended.

Anna Kidwell: Very dated and the first floor smells like something is rotting in the rooms down there. It definitely was not as clean as other Drury Inns we’ve been to. Also, there is no bath tub in the rooms so we were out of luck trying to give our toddler a bath. If we pass through again, money could be better spent elsewhere.

ALLDABEANZ RACING: The room was clean and over-all pretty nice. First thing I do is crank the a/c all the way down, because I love sleeping in chilly room. I can tell you; the a/c did not disappoint! The pool inside pool was nice and the perfect temperature. The whole place was well maintained and clean! The breakfast was pretty good. They had biscuits and gravy, eggs, waffles, coffee, OJ, etc... Overall, a very pleasant experience. The breakfast lady was a hoot!

Becky Redd: Why stay at a hotel if you won’t be able to sleep? The paper thin walls allowed me to hear everything from my neighbor brushing his teeth to him gagging on his toothbrush. The slamming doors of other people entering and leaving their rooms was deafening at all hours day and night. The bed wasn’t comfortable. I have no complaints about the staff but the room itself was like trying to sleep at the airport. I’d rather sleep in my car than stay here again. One positive: it was clean.

Macy Oliver: Please don’t come here, take the reviews seriously. I spent $210 for the a terrible experience.We booked a king suit and Our room was so tiny and everyone piled on top of each other. We had 2 kids and 2 adults. We had an early morning the next day and all night long people were slamming doors and dogs barking. We called the front desk and the lady was very nice but unfortunately nothing was done. Our kids were up all night us and others on the floor were sticking our heads out all mind-blown at the doors and dogs barking allowed. Not to mention we had to call and request sheets and blankets when we got there because nothing was provided in our $210.00 room. The next morning we had to leave by 7, we didn’t have any breakfast they said breakfast doesn’t start till 7 even though they promised grab bags and other things. They had nothing but cold hard boiled eggs and apples. I spoke to Mike at the front desk wondering what could be done and if maybe a credit was allowed to substitute for the money I paid and the quality of my stay. He literally laughed and smiled in myFace and said no we can’t do anything, Sorry! 2 other couples were speaking to us outside in the parking lot and couldn’t believe we all chose this hotel. Cassidy Weathers: I have stayed at this hotel on multiple occasions. I have never had an issue with the staff, my room, or breakfast. The check-in process is always quick. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The breakfast is always tasty. And the location is really convenient from the Interstate, a Walmart, and various restaurants. The parking lot is a little odd, similar to an "L" shape, but I haven't had issues finding parking or leaving the parking lot. My friend and I just stayed here and she claimed the pool was cold and wasn't really heated, but we enjoyed our stay nonetheless.Also, as a housekeeper at a different Comfort Inn, I would recommend this hotel.

Alexa Hacker: The building is older & decor a little outdated but we will absolutely return due to the cleanliness of our room, friendly staff, and very satisfying breakfast. Breakfast is served 6:30-10. We made our way down at 9:15 to the staff refilling hot food (scrambled eggs, hashbrowns, sausage links, biscuits & gravy). They also have machines to make waffles & pancakes (try the strawberry batter!). Other options were chobani yogurt, bagels/toast, cereal, oatmeal, fresh fruit.A soak in the hot tub would've been a cherry on top but they informed us before reservation that it was not working.Rooms: I had booked a double queen room (only because it was cheaper). Upon entering our room, I was happily surprised they had given us a King. We didnt pull out the sofa bed but the room seemed spacious enough. Impressed not to find a cob web, hair, or dirty corner in our room or bathroom. Only dislike was the odd-shaped, smaller bathroom. Difficult to close the door without stepping in to the shower but it could have just been the way our specific room (#370) was built.

Molly Anderson: The front desk lady Amber Lee was the rudest person I have ever met. I typically like to leave positive reviews but I was after how she treated us in person and later when I had to call, I was flabbergasted that Comfort Inn had hired her to be the first person guests see. Otherwise the rooms were nice but the pool was not working during our stay.
Angela Turner: The building is very old and in need of some remodel. Their pool was not working, so they had a neighboring hotel let us swim there, which means driving there in swim clothes or packing up everything to change there. Very inconvenient!Card keys were not working consistently, and other guests concurred to this as they banged on the side doors waving their card keys at passers-by to get help.It was 30 degrees outside. However, the floor they put is on was SWELTERING! Our room unit was on low heat at our arrival, I switched it to fan, then in a few minutes when it was still way too hot, I turned the AC on low.Again, upgrades are needed so that you can set the thermostat, not guess if fan or low or high is needed. Just put in the number that makes you most comfortable. Then, in the middle of the night, it turned off suddenly, and within an hour, the room was stuffy again. I will never return to this hotel.Nearby activities: Several restaurants are nearby. It's easy to find from 44, but the traffic noise can get annoying with it being that close!

Patty Goss: We travel for a living and I've never had as much trouble with a front desk as I did with this front desk. The room was booked with our hotel points, went to check in, they didn't show that. So I paid with my card. My account was double charged and all the way up to the GM said it was a banking error. The front desk clerk and on site manager were rude. I wouldn't recommend staying in this location. As I said before, I've never had anything like this happen... at any hotel.Rooms: The rooms are neat and clean. Bathroom door doesn't shut but we worked with it.

Other guest are a joy to actually talk to and not drugged up like last place we were at(Motel 6) and family feels safe here and we get out more here and can actually walk to store and or around block/outside without encountering a crackhead(s). Rooms are A LOT bigger and nicer/cleaner and a/c works better as well. Also no bugs of ANY kind here unlike Motel 6 which infested with cockroaches and bed bugs. Joshua James (Compleximpact LLC): My Stay? I didn't even get to stay... I actually had customers that were more helpful than the hotel itself. Whoever was there on 07/20/2022 at 9pm - 12am was ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I have never in my life had worse customer service than I did tonight in my entire life. Not only were they not there when we arrived to check us in, I had customers trying to help us out more than the hotel itself. Additionally, the personnel that night kicked us off the property after being offended we were there to check in after waiting for almost an hour to check in to their hotel. This hotel was absolutely garbage from just the start. The personnel working that night was terrible, I contacted customer service who sided with the person working at the hotel who then called the police on us and sent us away and did not offer a refund on the hotel. I will never recommend this hotel, nor ever stay at this hotel ever again.
Straight Shooter: I paid two weeks in advance but events transpired and I had to leave after one week and they told me they don’t do refunds… so out a weeks rent…rooms are nice but I don’t appreciate staff going into my room with me absent during the day to “inspect”. It’s run like a prison with searches at will,,,I will be warning everyone on every website to avoid this. The personnel appeared friendly but I was a fool to trust them. Behavior like this will reap some heavy karma…

Tosha Farris: I got a call 2 hrs before check in and was told " Sorry your room was overbooked". I explained the situation about really needing the room and how i called weeks prior and made a reservation. They said "they would see what they can do". Did not get a double bed like we had reserved. We paid $125 for one night and my Aunt and mother (who has Cancer) (both in their 60's) was given one full bed and a hideabed. Outlet did not work in bathroom, no hot water for shower, room was complete empty otherwise. I called and talked to Eden and she was very rude about it and told me there's nothing she can do about it. She told me that her manager Shawna wouldn't be in "for a month". I say Good luck to anyone making reservations, you may or may not get a room or a comfortable bed to sleep in.

I went to the room to rinse off and there was hair in the shower drain, and the shower backed up with water so I was standing in water, because it did not properly drain. Be careful if you book through a 3rd party site, as the 3rd party site didn't charge taxes and fees (not sure how that is my problem) So I had to pay for the room when I got there. I have been charged 2 times now for this room. Called corporate and they claim they will process my refund for one of the charges, but it could take 2 weeks. Just a joke. With this being an extended stay, I understand people actually live there. However, several people who just hang out by the front door is not ok. It makes it really uncomfortable to bring kids by myself. I thought the hotel being on the South West side of town it may be a little safer, wrong. Joe Hilton: First and foremost the staff makes all the difference. All of the interactions have been fantastic. They are especially pet friendly and greet and pet my dog and make us feel welcome. The staff also keeps the hotel particularly clean and I have had no issues during my stay. The prices are the best in the area and the rooms include a kitchen when most hotels do not. I highly recommend Extended Stay America in Springfield, MO.
Mack Harmon: I have a injured employee, and I was going to get him accommodation here. I set up a reservation for 14 nights, prepaid for them, only to find out that since he has a Springfield address, they would not allow him to stay. The desk clerk said it was "company policy", but both their website and their guest relations team said it's not. I wound up finding a place right down the road that would allow him to stay. Beware of odd policies like this if you're needing to stay here!
