This was our first time ordering granite countertops so we didn’t know what to expect. Before going to them we got our first estimate from one of those big home improvement stores in town. Not a great experience. That place left us feeling like they weren’t 100% certain of what they were doing.But East Coast Granite was completely professional and incredibly friendly. You can tell they’ve done many thousands of jobs and know exactly what they’re doing. As soon as we had our new cabinets installed they sent out a tech to scan the entire kitchen and create a computerized laser map of the precise dimensions for our new countertops. Then their local shop began the work of cutting our counters. It was a busy time of year but they had it all ready to install in a couple weeks. The install team was impressive. They showed up right on time, planned out their moves, answered all our questions and installed our beautiful new counters without a hiccup. Our countertops fit perfectly. The whole experience was far better than we had anticipated. Working with East Coast Granite was an all around fantastic experience.

They got me a bid in an hour and the prices were the same as everyone else. They showed up when they said they would and were done when they said they’d be done. We even made a mistake on a backsplash that was our fault and they fixed it, no hassle, no questions asked. They cut out our cooktop and it was a perfect fit. Shawn Crosby: We stopped by on the 10th of January. The lady at the counter never got up until we asked for help. We ended up providing all of our information and getting an estimate and we’re told allow two days before an assistant would reach us w a bud. We waited 4 days. Finally, the 5th day, I called. I was told the individual that helped us was no longer there. So, the process started over. We went back in and spoke w a new lady. She sat us up with an appointment to have our template done.She informs us installation would be the first or second week of February. 8 days later, a kid comes out to measure. The following day, I receive a call from an individual who I couldn’t understand his name. He says” this is such and such and we cannot do your job”. He would not give a reason why . I said you just waisted two weeks of our time. I would highly recommend using any other company in town besides this place. The owner is very unprofessional and their stories change daily.

They unfortunately were way out of our price range, and we couldn’t view the entire slab, so we didn’t know what we were getting holistically.Then we go to CGT and were relieved. Dan counseled us about our price range and any particular slabs they had at a special rate. We got a truly gnarly slab of marble for 30-40% less than we could have gotten at many other businesses. The install went smooth and we’re enjoying our kitchen. We’ll use them the next time we do a project.

Esoteric Awakenings: Spent three days calling asking for an estimate. Each time they told me they would send me an email with the estimate and never bothered to do so. I guess they have all the business they need. They sure won't be getting mine.In response to the owners response. It is true that I did not respond to any further attempt to contact me as I chose to go elsewhere after being treated so poorly. The excuse given "That I provided them with the wrong email address" It 100% fictitious and they are now attempting to save face by blaming me the potential customer for their short comings.Each time following my initial contact when I called custom granite the same gentleman answered the phone. Each time he asked me to confirm my email address including the spelling of my email address. It was only after I left a negative review (5 Days after first calling) that they finally sent me an email with the requested quote.Regardless of the reason for the break down in communication I may have been willing to give them a second try on future projects, but after reading this disparaging response to my honest review of my experience I will never do business with them.

Braylon Ebert: Id give them a 0 star if possible. Terrible company. Meth heads working the saw and poorly owned. They will take your money and not finish the job. I advise going to custom granite tile off of chestnut. Way better company and ran really well.

Cliff Smith: We signed a contract on a spec home that was about 50% complete (BIG MISTAKE but that is a review reserved later for the builder himself) and Springfield Granite Company was the sub doing the granite counters and back splashes. Since we signed the contract, we were allowed to do some customizing which included selecting our granite. The builder asked us to meet both him and his wife at Springfield Granite Company (also known as The Granite Source) and after making our granite selections we were shown their "precise" laser granite cutting machine. We thought we'd be receiving quality product and quality installation work. What we received was exactly the opposite. They cracked the granite on installation directly in front of the kitchen sink. They call this a "natural fissure" and other than epoxy it, would not replace it. The entire kitchen island, plus some of the other counter tops had intermittent rough edges and burrs that had not been fabricated or finished properly. Also, we were disheartened to find the majority of the granite was "halved" in the middle of the granite section and the seams are very visible...not good work at all and should be one continuous piece. Additionally, one rectangular sink in the master bath was cut so poorly that there is no straight line to it in several spots and nothing laser cut about it at all. Add to all that very sloppy silicone work, scratches in some of the granite that will not buff out, etc.We dealt directly with the owner of this company and he did come out to look. He was not happy with most of the work but indicated the crack or "fissure" was pretty normal and would not be addressed other than the epoxy. And the sink in the master was a big concern as it was going to possibly involve a tear out/start over which neither party wanted. He did send out his lead installer who addressed some of the items within his scope, such as the rough areas and burrs, some of the pitting holes, and did epoxy on the fissure...but could do nothing about the glaring seams, the crookedly cut sink hole, or some of the housekeeping items like the scratches, and the silicone. We discussed a reimbursement or discount with the owner, but the dollar amount he threw out there really was not enough to cover all the issues and he chose to not send the money anyway. It took over two months of no follow up on his part to finally get him to offer a reimbursement. He only agreed to pay us a little over $100 to live with the crooked rectangle on the sink but then it seems he decided he wasn't going to pay anything (because he never sent the money) and that is okay with me because the only thing that will fix it is 100% reimbursement. Then I would find a quality granite company to come rip it out and do it over...but do it right. And had we had more time to just focus on the work of this one sub, the outcome may have been more favorable for us but it is doubtful as this granite company does not seem to care about their customers and we have the unresponded emails and phone calls to back that up....plus the photos of the work. Buyer beware. Just know this, there are big differences between granite companies around Springfield and this one should not be on anyone's list to consider for their product, their installation, and their follow up.

I gave your company over 6 months to take care of it but YOU did not. They installed it so we would have a top and said they would make it right by replacing it. Never happened. My granite doesn't even match were it connects in middle. Then a whole other batch of issues happened with them. DON'T USE EVER!!!!!!!!

Mekenzie York: Steve was great. He replaced my kitchen countertops and backsplash. He even rebuilt and replaced part of my cabinets after identifying an issue with the existing cabinet. Everything turned out great and was reasonably priced. I really appreciated his responsiveness and how quickly he was able to complete my kitchen project. Would highly recommend to anyone!
