Herman H. Lohmeyer Funeral Home: what do users think?
David Reeves: For the second time in less than three years, our family had to call upon Lohmeyer Funeral home for assistance. My sister passed unexpectedly in Houston and the decision was made to have her brought to Springfield to be laid to rest next to our father. Paul and Kent handled everything, insuring our families wishes were met. They arranged the transportation to Springfield and every detail from start to finish. A special thank you to Avery and her skill in preparing my sisters body for the service. Lets just say her preparation required extra effort and you would never know that by viewing her. The entire staff are caring, professional and skilled. I can't thank you enough for your kind services and for doing it affordably.
Jessica Todd: ABSOLUTELY THE BEST. THE SWEETEST PEOPLE. Everyone there was so caring and polite. Not once did they make anything uncomfortable. Our family used them for my grandmother and she would have loved them. Thank you for doing such an amazing job you will never know how appreciative we are.
Buddy Parrish: Our family wanted to submit a review to thank your company for taking such good care of us during our time of need. My father passed away in December and our experience with Lohmeyer was superior and professional on every level. Paul Wunderlich is a very exceptional facilitator and such a comforting person to deal with. We are very impressed with the funeral home and all of the services provided. They have assisted us with several of our family members over the years. We would highly recommend the services of Lohmeyer for any needs you might have. Parrish & Zeller Families
Doug Clark: The Herman H. Lohmeyer Funeral Home is a very special organization. The moment I entered I was met by representative Rebecca Weyrauch and the owner Paul Wunderlich in a welcoming greeting. I just have to give this business a five-star rating wish I could give many more stars. The best relationship I have ever had with a business. In my time of sorrow, it was so nice to have the comfort of a beautiful staff that was truly compassionate and caring.I highly recommend Herman H. Lohmeyer Funeral Home to everyone. They are just perfection!
Rick Pohl: Our family has been coming here for generations. We all agreed that there was no other choice or our Mother's service and memorial. This was my first time having to plan services like this. I had no idea what to expect. The entire staff is friendly and patient. They made a tough time and hard decisions go very smoothly. The chapel is wonderful and has a screen for a photo slide show. This was great as most of our photos were on our phones and in digital albums. There is also plenty of room for pictures and memorabilia to place around the chapel if you choose to do so. My sisters and I were so pleased with how easy they made the process. Our visitation and memorial service was exactly how our Mother would have wanted it. She always appreciated how our family was treated in the past.
222bobafett: I'm with a veteran honors group and have provided motor escort for over 50 veterans from funeral homes and churches to their final resting place.Today was the first time I attended a veteran's funeral at Herman H. Lohmeyer and I was amazed to see that this was the most well equipped funeral home I've yet seen in this area when it comes to having a safe and organized procession. They used magnetic signs on all the family vehicles and had a staff member prepared with a stop sign to signal traffic near the funeral home to wait for the procession to leave.I very much hope that more veterans will choose this funeral home, because it was much easier to provide the honor escort with such prepared funeral directors!
Kandy Ashley: Wonderful, caring, and compassionate staff. Made a difficult time easier for my brother and myself. I can't thank them enough.
Harold Ashley: Very helpful during our time. I would highly recommend them.
Lisa George: Kent and all of the staff at Herman Lohmeyer were so gracious and kind. My dad passed away in May and we had his celebration of life service Saturday and his interment Monday at MO Veterans Cemetery in Springfield. They kept in touch regularly, answered all of our questions and did everything they could to ensure things went smoothly. Thank you!
C Taylor: What a great, kind and caring staff no pressure accommodated my wants and needs for my mother's creamation pluse locally owned by some mighty fine folks.Thank you so much I was made to feel as if I had bought the most expensive service you offer evan though all I could afford was the least expensive. Now that's respect and true empathy again thank you.
Tracy R: During the sudden loss of our brother, Rebecca's kindness and patience were exceptional. They went above and beyond our expectations.
Emily Ellis: Just a big WOW and thank you to Herman H. Loymeyer funeral home! This is best funeral home in Springfield, MO and I highly recommend you use them. My father had suddenly passed away and I had no experience in what's needed to be done for a funeral. I know without Kent's help it would of been one hell of an ordeal to figure out. I am grateful to have talked with Kent over the phone, his patience, helpfulness and willingness to guide me the through step by step will forever be remembered. So again, a big thank you to Kent and all of who helped in preparing my dad's funeral arrangements.- Emily from California
Bob Lessmann: When my sister passed away suddenly, the Lohmeyer Family Funeral Home handled all the issues that came up professionally and made us feel welcomed and comforted. They did everything to make the transportation back to Illinois of my sister a smooth transition. They kept us informed and we appreciate that they treated us as if it was their loss. Thank you from the Robinson and Lessmann Family.
Brenda Saltkill: They Took Care Of My Husband in The Most Respectful Way.They Treated Us Like Family An I Have The Up most Respect For Everyone @Herman H. Lohmeyer Funeral Home.
steve maples: The staff were 2nd to none, very professional. Could not ask for a better service. They were very helpful and kind and answered all of our questions. there service to me was more than i could ask for. Thank you.
mary shaffer: lohmeyer funeral are great people that help make a sad situation alot easier to get through. we unfortunately had too use them for 3 different family members in the last year which i hope we don't have too use them for along time now. i do hope that they will still be there if and when the time comes again.they have the best compassionate staff.
Sandy Davidson: Words cannot express our gratitude for Kent and his staff during our time of loss! He went above and beyond and took care of every detail. He was very knowledgeable, open and honest, thorough, and showed great integrity . It was the best experience during our time of grief .
Vicky Trippe: Because a friend highly recommended Kent Franklin at Lohmeyer, my husband and I called him when we decided to make arrangements for our end-of-life plans. Our friend was right. Kent guided us through our once-in-a-lifetime journey to create a headstone and plan for our cremations and burials. We had images for the headstone we wanted, and we had many, many questions. Kent answered our questions, created and edited art and copy for the headstone until we said "Yes!", and helped us feel totally satisfied with our final choices. We too highly recommend Kent and Lohmeyer Funeral Home. Kent will work with you as a friend and not just as a customer, and the business, located in a beautiful historic home in Springfield's center city, is a warm location to gather for a memorial service.
Ty Annie: Really nice. Helped with my dad death
Tracy George: I am located in Louisiana and needed a funeral home to receive and prepare my brother to be shipped back to Louisiana. I reached out the Herman H. Lohmeyer Funeral Home based on Google reviews. Later when I called the MO hospital to have my brother released to Lohmeyer, I had confirmation from a staff member that Lohmeyer had taken care of her father and did a wonderful job. That gave me confirmation and peace that I had made the right decision. Kent Franklin and the staff at Lohmeyer were so compassionate and helpful during our time of loss. They made everything as easy as could be for us being so far away. Highly recommended.
Brett Curry: We selected Herman Lohmeyer for my father-in-law’s funeral based on a friend’s recommendation. Kent Franklin was our funeral director. He was phenomenal. He was the perfect blend of personal, compassionate and professional. He gave great advice leading into the funeral, handled everything during the event and was a joy to work with afterward. Truly our family has gone on and on about how great he was to work with. The rest of the staff we encountered were all great too.

Walnut Lawn Funeral Home, Ltd. Degraffenreid-Wood-Crematory: what do users think?
Erin Bloom: This facility is run in complete disorganization. For a business that is operated by people in anguish they come across as unsympathetic and cold hearted. I would wish that no one would have such an experience during a loss. It is my impression they feel as though they could care less if your business was taken elsewhere you are just another number on any other ordinary day. This has show to be true on both occasions.
Melanie Taylor: Walnut Lawn Funeral Home was such a blessing in planning our dad's funeral. They made my dad look better then his last days and that really helped as we had an open casket viewing. Thanks to the owner and their employees for handling the planning with dignity and kindness duringThis difficult time. If your loved one is a veteran you will especially love how they've organized the Freedom Riders Group to lead the way in the processional to the veterans cemetery. It was a very special experience.
Countess Nikki: I just wanted to say how thankful I am for Walnut Lawn Funeral Home. Melissa and Sheila- they are so amazing. We were treated with kindness, compassion, patience, and understanding as they helped us navigate this horrible loss. They went out of their way to help us with every little detail. I just can’t say it enough how much I appreciate them both. This is our second time working with Walnut Lawn, the first time was for my father 17 years ago, and I’m so thankful we were able to go through them again for my nephew. I hope we never have to deal with another loss but if we do we will always choose Walnut Lawn. Thank you Melissa and Sheila.
Gary Bird: My wife passed at 3am. Our hospice nurse called Walnut Lawn. They answered promptly and had 2 ladies out very quickly from 15 or 20 miles from our home. They handled my wife very carefully and gently. They informed me of each of the next steps. Everything could not have been handled better. I am very pleased with their and all the follow up calls, texts and offers of help.
Theresa Jones: To Walnut Funeral Home,THANK YOU so much for taking care of my brother Darrell Wallace. I will NEVER forget when I got the phone call from Birch Pointe that he had passed. The nurse had recommended Walnut Funeral Home to take care of him…I said YES!I REMEMBER when I was driving, headed to Springfield and Miss Sheila had called. She expressed her condolences to me and asked me what I wanted to do. We discussed the logistics of everything and we agreed to make an appointment for 10 am for Friday morning. I am so GRATEFUL to have a GENUINE individual to call and was so PROFESSIONAL and NICE!From that Friday morning doing the paperwork, being able to see my brother to spend time, to receiving his ashes was ALL done PROFESSIONALLY! THANK YOU Walnut Lawn for a GREAT experience! It truly meant a lot to me. May God continue to bless each and every one of you in a special way!😊Theresa Y. JonesBlythewood, SCIn Loving Memory of My Dear Brother Darrell Blaine Wallace
Courtnie Linn: Broke my absolute heart the way I was treated... 26 ...just lost my mom ... Having to be the only one paying for anything and doing it all ... On a teachers salary... And I was treated so awful after I found someone cheaper... I can't believe it ..that someone in this line of work would make someone feel so small after going threw the most traumatic time of her life... I pray for them
tasha dobbins: When it comes to veterans they have the utmost respect and gratitude for a veteran and the warrior watch riders escort for the veterans from the time if service at the funeral home to the final stop at the cemetery they really do love our veterans from all branches this is Walter
Patricia Lynch: Walnut Lawn did a beautiful Memorial Service for my mother, Pamela Bernhardt!!They are compassionate and truly understand the pressures I was feeling and they really stepped in and did what they could to help release the unneeded stresses and pressure of all the end of life planning and preparing… Thank you all, this is a huge shout out to Sheila, I couldn’t have gotten through this time with out Walnut Lawn…
Lala Valhalla: Unethical.
Susan Rankin: After shopping all over town, I found this spacious and gracious place. I was treated with compassion and attention from the start. Communication was consistent and service was top-notch! The people at Walnut Lawn really care about you and your loved one, they go the extra mile, to make everything special!Pastor Dan Hankins, is very caring and made sure all was just right and that requests were honored. He was very timely and helpful in planning and very creative in program design. The atmosphere is elegant, comfortable and very clean. At this very emotional time, they reached out and treated us like family,. So if your looking for the best in a funeral home, Walnut Lawn is the only choice.
Michelle Richardson: Dan Hankins was very kind, helpful and professional going above and beyond to make this emotionalt time go smoothly. I am definitely going to sing his praises to anyone I know that is need of pre-needs arrangements.
Stephen Whisler: The featured presentation about bedding plant soil preparation was very informative, the band was excellent, and the food was good!
Randall Latch: I am recently (October 2020) divorced. I am not trying to get back into a dating scenario, or seeking a companion, I just want to relate with someone, preferably multiple someones, share friendship, attend events as a group, have new friends. This first meeting has provided that opportunity. I look forward to future events, not just luncheons, but also attend movies, maybe Branson shows, luncheon outings, special events, learn new things, see new sights. I am encouraged.
Rose “Rosie” Wooldridge: Excellent service, prepaid plan was adhered to, friendly, compassionate, constant contact (but not too much). They were always striving to give the best service possible. My representative was Dan and he could not have been better, above and beyond. You felt like you were truly loved and treasured. Far superior to a previously used large local funeral home.
Terry Hoggard: I just had my first meeting with this staff and in just one meeting, they went above and beyond to clarify every detail for me. It was so well done that every anticipated question I had was answered in the presentation that Gabe provided for me.This team does everything with grace, compassion and a desire to provide the very best care possible.I am honored to give them my highest recommendation.-Terry-
Michael Wimsatt: Walnut Lawn cares about what they do and the people they serve. In every interaction I have had with Dr. Ruth Ann, I see someone who wants to provide the very best services for her community.
Travis L. Edwards: I have had the opportunity to work with Walnut Lawn Funeral Home on many occasions as a local pastor in the community. I have always found their staff to be professional, caring, and willing to go the extra mile to minister to families in their greatest hour of need. If you are looking for a funeral home I highly recommend Walnut Lawn Funeral Home. Ruth Ann and the entire staff will treat you like family!
Jeanie Kendrick: Great place and serves families with love and extremely good care. Pricing is good and facility is awesome.
Claudia Darr: I have just hit my one year anniversary of being a Walnut Lawn Funeral Home employee, and I can say confidently I have never experienced a more compassionate and tight-knit work family. Every staff member here cares deeply for the families we serve, and knows the great honor of being trusted to care for the loved ones lost in our community. I could not say kinder words about the team at Walnut Lawn Funeral Home.
Guy Weiland: Walnut Lawn funeral directors were very knowledgeable, friendly, and easy to talk to about the passing of our family member.
Amy Ingram: I wanted to thank you guys for everything that you did. You all did such an amazing job,and you took care of every little detail. You and your staff showed so much love and compassion for someone you didn't even know. We appreciate that. I will never forget all you did for my family.Thank you greatly

Springfield Mortuary Services: what do users think?
Myles Hufferd: Brian and his team did an excellent job bearing the lost of a loved one. Thank you!
Sheldon FH: Our business has had a relationship with Springfield Mortuary Service for many, many years. We wouldn't think of using anybody else in the Springfield area. They have always treated us very well.
Latoshia Williams: If I had the choice to leave no stars I would. Our baby boy passed away at five months and live for three hours. the chaplain at the hospital stated that this would be a great place to send him so that’s what we did. they had our son there for over 2 1/2 weeks sitting in their freezer. They gave us the runaround blaming it on the hospital and the hospital was blaming it on them. I’m really not concerned about the blame. I’m more so at this point concerned abt how heartless the owner Brian Simmons was. He didn’t even speak to us, didn’t even show any emotion, we could just feel his cold heart. no spirit no warmth in his body. I would not recommend this place to anyone, not even my worst enemy.
Mj Hodges: Brian was great to assist me in this difficult time.

Midwest Cremation and Funeral Services, LLC: what do users think?
EXO Harbringer: My Mother passed away. Midwest was the cheapest option around but the service and kindness showed by Missy was like I paid too dollar. Not once did I feel bad for asking questions or was I kept out of the loop. Missy always knew exactly who I was over the phone and was always ready to help. This place is by far the most humane place I encountered. I would recommend this to everyone whether you are struggling financially or not. Thank you and God bless to everyone there.
Jo Pinkie Poodles: Most caring loving people you’ll ever get to take care of your loved ones. They did my father my brother my father n law and will be doing my mother n law. 5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Randall Walker: Midwest Funeral Services helped me out in the hardest time, losing my dad wasn't easy to handle but Missy and everyone else was there to help us, the compassion and empathy that was shown was top notch and they made dad look very handsome, thank you Missy for all your help, I never forget it
This Bagadonuts G: Very warm and helpful folks in the hardest times, wonderful value, and compassion that was unmatched
Miriam Durnell: Very professional! From the moment they came to the house to pick up my father, to providing a photographed copy of the flower list after the services, they proved themselves to be genuinely caring people.
Nathan McClellan: Missy and the staff at Midwest Cremation were amazing. My mother passed unexpectedly, and I have had zero experience with this. Add to that being an only child and I was lost on what to do and how to proceed. Midwest Cremation helped me through every step and answered any question I could think of. Not only was the service incredible but the cost was very affordable for the services provided.
Janet Thompson: Midwest was there for us when we lost each of our grandparents and then again when we lost our mom and now with the loss our dad. Each time the love and care they give has been wonderful! I just wish they would change their name to Midwest Funeral Services and Cremation as we always have funeral services with viewings there followed by a graveside service. Midwest gets our 5-star rating!!!
Lenette Hall: Wonderful people, caring, and compassionate. We always refer Springfield families to Midwest Cremation because the team and service is stellar and prices are fair.
Bonnie Wilson: I don’t have one bad thing to say about this place or the staff. I had a rather messy situation when it came to other family members Cooperating after my dad passed away. Missy and her team are amazing. Missy is very down to earth Sympathetic and professional all rolled into one. I was able to talk to her like she was one of my friends. She has went above and beyond while dealing with a rather difficult family. I appreciate all of her hard work. I would highly recommend to anyone who is looking for a place that is Sympathetic, patient and understanding. This place and staff deserve 10 stars!
Katie Russell: When my mother passed it was literally a last minute change on where she was going, I was very nervous but satisfied. My mother passed 2 days before my brother's 28th birthday. I met with Ron the day she passed and I asked if it would be possible to get her home for his birthday. He didn't make any promises but he said he would try. We he did, I was able to bring my Mama home on my brother's birthday and my family are forever grateful.I had also never dealt with this stuff and they all have done wonderful helping me figure everything out.
Linda Falk: They were so kind and compassionate in helping us through our loss and working through all of the details that come with losing someone you love. Wonderful people and definitely, I would recommend them.
Chris Crenshaw: Missy and the team were amazing. My dad lived and hr our of Springfield, but they still were willing to handle everything. They handled everything plus more! Midwest Cremation prices are the cheapest we found, and we called 8 other Funeral homes. Once my dad went into hospice he declined rapidly, and he didn’t have any life insurance or anything set up to bury him. We were able to pay for everything out of pocket because of how affordable they were. I’m thankful for Missy and the Midwest Cremation Crew for all you did for me and my family this past week!
74alynne lynne: My sister and I were clueless on so much regarding my fathers death. Missy and her father held our hands through the most difficult time of our lives. My father was scattered on a lake with military honors with the help of Missy. Thank you to both of you and God bless you both!
Pamela Litke: Missy and the staff here handled everything from the moment they were contacted. They were professional but not overbearing. Took care of my every need, even things I didn’t know that had to be done, quickly and expertly. I never had a doubt that I choose the right place
Brenda Carter: Things were going smoothly until I went to pick up my mother's ashes. Then the creepy old guy at the funeral home coughed on me! We were both wearing masks, but I could feel the force of his cough from across the table! I bathed in hand sanitizer, and went home and took a shower. YOU DON'T GET TO COUGH ON PEOPLE JUST BECAUSE YOU ARE WEARING A MASK!
James Updike: Great personal and service, treated my brother n law with respect and helped us thru a trying time.
iwantaction1: Super nice people willing to go the extra mile for you without hurting your pocket book. Easiest 5 star rating ever, 5 stars isn't good enough of a rating for these wonderful people!
Tracey Brown: I have already recommended Midwest to my family members, and if I live in this area when my time comes, I would be honored for them to care for my remains. The service and compassion we experienced at the recent passing of my mother-in-law was excellent. Thank you to Missy, for her care for our family.
David Rapelje: My family friend of 30 plus years who was like a 2nd father to me past recently. From the initial phone call I knew I had the right place. Both Ron Blackwell & his Daughter Missy were exemplary in every essence of the word! The death of a loved one is hard enough to contend with. Their compassion, understanding and help made a difficult time less burdensome.
Lindalonsford Lonsford: Great people and will help the family with all their needs thank you all for what you all done for my husband when you all had him mother Joyce reed. All great with us.
Jerry Stewart: Ron and Missy are very ethical, compassionate and helpful. Ron listens to your needs and will not try to upgrade you (very refreshing these days). My mother's passing was my second opportunity to deal with Ron. I have absolutely no reservations about recommending them. I have already instructed my boys to go see Ron and Missy when my time comes. 😋

Klingner-Cope Family Funeral Home at Rivermonte: what do users think?
Cheryl Petete: My father's funeral was several years ago in 2017. His name was Donald Young.I have never forgotten the wonderful way my family and I were treated by your team. You were absolutely wonderful. Thank you for all your curtoisy, support, and kindness. We will never forget. Sorry it has taken this long to thank you personally on this site.
Patricia van Lent: Robert is the best! He always takes time to explain everything to me and really helps me decide! I have had to purchase lots between my pets and my own personal space and I couldn’t do it without him! Thank you Robert!
Debbie Tortorice: Exceptional service! Robert was outstanding. During such a delicate time, he was patient, compassionate, and sensitive with us and our needs.Personable and laidback, he never came across as rushed or in a hurry. He was very thorough, detailed, and FULL of knowledge.Robert even gave us ideas on how we could save money, while still being able to get EXACTLY what we wanted. He also went out of his way to do things for us that he wasn’t really obligated to do, which GREATLY eased our burden. One day while he was leaving the office, he saw us visiting the grave site. He slowed down to check on us, asking if we needed anything. This just further confirmed our confidence in working with them. While we did work solely with Robert, we also crossed paths with other staff who presented themselves as very kind and supportive. We believe our experience has shown Klingner-Cope at Rivermont to be professional and trustworthy. If ever there would be an oversight, we’re confident they would make it right. We were VERY pleased and impressed with their service and highly recommend them.
Tammy Russell: We used Klinker-Cope for the creamation of my Brother. Kelli was very nice to our family. Kelli was professional , compassionate and made sure everyone fully understood what we were buying and what all is with the purchase. If Need be I would use Klinger-Cope again.
James Carrington: We stopped by the Rivermonte office last week and spoke with Robert to locate a couple of our familys gravesites. My mother was very impressed by his level of professionalism and compassion. In addition to giving us directions, he took the time to walk out to my fathers headstone to help us find it and took the time to clean it while we were there. This was a much better level of service than we have seen in the past.
hailey osborne80: My spouse is a former employee of Klingner-Cope, I can say the employees do everything they can for the families they serve and really do care. Klingner-Cope is owned by a corporation called Stonemor. Stonemor doesn't care about anything except making money. The Klingner Cope employees are defenseless against Stonemor's demands. The people he worked with fought Tooth and Nail with Stonemore for families to get what they paid for and deserved. Stonemor expects their employees to move mountains while tying their hands behind their backs. The worst corporation ever. Just check their indeed reviews for people who have worked for them. Also, check out the BBB. Klingner Cope has an A+ rating. Stonemor has and F!
Jennifer Huffman: This company is very incompetent, We waited twice as long to get death certificates. After multiple calls being unreturned and no answers we finally got ahold of someone to find out someone didn't do their job and send it in. Then here we are 8 months later her head stone still not engraved. You call and nobody seems to know anything they can't give you numbers to who you need to call. It' seems after fees are paid then you are not a priority to them. DO NOT waste your money!!!!
Char Gibson: From the very first phone call up to now, 8 months later it has been a disservice to and dishonor of our Mother. We can NEVER get a straight answer about anything, they can't even get our names right at in person meetings. All of this side stepping by klinger cope is over 4 numbers that need to be engraved on her headstone, yes only 4 numbers!! I'm astounded by their dishonesty!
pittfan7499: the experience that my family has had with this company has been extremely horrible. it does seem true once this place has your money they start to ignore anything that you try to get finalized. my mothers headstone still hasn't been engraved like they said it would. it has been almost 8 months since her passing. to me it is just sad that a company says how compassionate they are until payment. this is not professional. it took twice as long to get death certificates. seems it takes multiple phone calls just to get leave your number and we will get back to you, but of course another lie. i would not recommend this company to anyone. if i could it would be negative stars but you have to put one to post
Johnna Teel: Andrea is the only competent person at this facility sad part is she can't micromanage all operations and yahoos that work there. Andrea finally fixed the problem with the death certificates and our family was satisfied. But now we are being hounded again about a thumbprint necklace that we never ordered. Good grief honestly I think its a ploy to get you back in there so they can try and sell you something. What a bunch of car salesmen
Charles Stickerod: Terrible place to do business with. I would never recommend this company to anyone that I know. Karen is in LaLa land. REMEMBER there are plenty of other chices
Tabitha Walker: Very very disappointed in this “company”. At first it was great. Compassionate and caring until they got their money and services were over. We had to wait much longer than expected to get the necklaces we ordered. Then I SPECIALLY told Nick, who was handling things, that no one was to pick anything up except my sister. So how is it that a NON specified person was able to pick up my fathers death certificates!?!? That is where they completely ruined this. This should not have happened. I am very upset about this.
Lisa Mankins: HORRIBLE!! DO NOT GO HERE!! The entire staff is completely incompetent! If I could give negative stars I would. They couldn’t even get my grandpa’s date of birth right. Both the day of the viewing and the day of the funeral we had to deal with their incompetence of getting dates wrong on everything and then they wanted to charge us for the extra programs they had to print because of THEIR mistake!! After waiting forever we finally got the plaque for his grave & the month of birth was wrong again!! They sent the proof out without any of the family approving it!! Horrible place!!
Rachel Balius: If I could give a negative star, I would do so. Klingner -Cope Rivermonte both the funeral home and Cemetery side is one of the most incompetent businesses I and my family have had the misfortune of dealing with. In planning the funeral of our loved one, they provided no guidance, nor did they provide important information regarding the very limited sources they have. They wrote our loved one's birthdate wrong and in spite of correcting them multiple times, they got it wrong in obituary, in the funeral programs, and even on his plaque. The chapel was dirty, the staff was completely incompetent. We paid for his name plate 3 days after his death. Upon inquiring about the plaque 8 weeks later, we learned they had never placed the order. They placed the order but when it finally was received and placed it on his crypt, they hung it crooked and they had the wrong birth date, yet again. When contacted they said " well didn't you review it?" The family never received a copy to proof.Despite multiple calls and speaking to managers, there continues to be mistakes and incompetence by this facility.
Jeanne Crawford: Our family was very appreciative of the service we received from the Rivermont location. Kathryn there was amazing and really helped is during one of our hardest times.

Greenlawn Funeral Homes: what do users think?
Diana Kitch: Professional, comforting, upscale funeral home
Jonathan: Unless you work here, you're usually not here for a happy reason. it's a very comforting place to be though. The staff is accommodating and overall I'd say it's a great place for a sendoff my heart goes out to you and yours if you ever have to be here.*PLEASE PAY ATTENTION TO THE NEXT COUPLE OF PARAGRAPHS!We were in a funeral procession which was split up several times by drivers who failed to notice all the hazard lights following the hearse. I will say I was pleasantly surprised because 90% of the people we drove by were respectful, they pulled over and let the procession pass, even if they were traveling in the opposite direction. I figured I would use this view to educate whoever reads it on the Missouri laws concerning funeral processions. If you see a hearse driving with the hazard lights on and there's a line of cars behind it, you're supposed to wait until the last car with the hazard lights passes you. If it's on a two-lane road you're not allowed to pass the procession, if it's on a four-lane, you may pass. If you turn into the middle of a funeral procession, you are subject to up to $100 fine. Funeral processions are allowed to drive through red lights if the lead car drives through it first and they have the right of way. In fact a funeral procession has the right away over every vehicle except for emergency vehicles with their lights and sirens on. The video I have provided shows two people who cut into our funeral procession first to become angry until one considers the fact that many people may just not know better. Now if you've read this review, you do know better please be polite you don't know if the car you're cutting off is the deceased daughter, father, mother and I know that you wouldn't want anybody to treat your family that way.
BL Cardiasmenos: You will not find a better facility or people to help you through losing a loved one! Winford Laster and Taylor Smart at Greenlawn East were absolutely AWESOME to work with, going above and beyond over and over again for our family, and helped us honor our family member in ways we didn't even know existed and with great detail. The facility is also gorgeous and really ministers to families during their hard times.
Summer K. Rankin: Ultimately, we got what we wanted for our father's services, but it wasn't easy. The first thing they tried to do was convince us to bury my father at a different cemetery than the one he expressly requested (Springfield National Cemetery). Stating that they haven't done a burial there in a long time and they didn't even know if it was possible (luckily we had already done the legwork to get the pre approval so we were not phased by this tactic) and how nice this other veterans cemetery is. It's was really odd how opinionated they were about it since they don't know my father or us at all.I was unimpressed that they were not able to play a YouTube video I created and had to burn it to a physical DVD and then the music to a physical CD (they had to do this as I no longer own computers with older tech like that). I would recommend some internet connectivity ability for these kinds of visitation media for future families.During all of this they also referred to my sisters and I as "controlling", to our faces on the day of the visitation. I guess because we made our own visitation flyers (theirs were very cheap and impersonal), video, and music. I would call it 'us doing a bunch of work they should be doing and still paying for it' but that's just me. So I guess that's what you get at Greenlawn for trying to advocate for what our Dad wanted for his body and celebration of his life.I think if you don't have many requests and want a very traditional funeral this place is fine. The facility is very pretty and the fish tank in the lobby is big.
bw020566: Winford Laster, Manager, worked with my mom and I as per my dad's funeral. What a terrific and compassionate man! Detail oriented....if we need them again, we will be back!
Angelia MerrittDee dee add: The entire staff are extremely compassionate. Every area that we needed help with they were so helpful to make sure the entire process was completed to the way we wanted. Debbie did an excellent job to follow our plans. We couldn't have had a more caring team.
Holly Hazlewood: I really don’t know how to adequately thank the wonderful people at Greenlawn-East.David’s professionalism, calmness, and honesty during my initial call left such an impression that my family chose this place solely based on that first phone call.Sherry did such a great job officiating the service. She listened and took notes and was able to relay our love and memories it the most tasteful way.My family and I want to especially recognize and thank Debbie for everything. She is such a strong, kind, patient, and empathetic person who guided our family through this process effortlessly. Debbie, thank you for all of the added touches and going the extra mile. Your reassuring hugs and smiles over the last week are so appreciated. You truly cared for us during this tragic time.Thank you all, Family of Amber Showalter
Donald Hossli: Being at a funeral is not a happy time rating 5 stars but the facilty is very nice
Debra Fontaine: We had the privelige of working with them in September when my brother passed away. They are the most caring and compassionate people i have ever met. They made us all feel comfortable and relaxed as they walked us through the process. God bless you!
Rebecca Dake: Amazing people I have worked with them now twice 10 years ago when my father passed and again in June when my mother passed away. There aren't enough words to say how amazing they are in your time of need and mourning.
Rachel Tackett: Rick Ford at Green lawn is amazing.. my mother passed.. I was not sure where to start, how to start, and was not able to wrap my mind around the fact my mom passed.. I received help threw all of it.. he helped my father and I threw the question and how to's.. he did all the paperwork.. social security.. death certificate.. everything.. I did not have to worry at all about any of it.. my father and I as well as the family are able to morn our loss.. I'm so grateful for him and their services.. and we didn't go broke paying for it.. very respectful, honest, and compassionate.. I highly recommend greenlawn, I promise you will not be disappointed or over whelmed.. it was calm in a tornado of emotions.. ⚘⚘⚘
Benjamin Mecklenborg: They definitely went above and beyond my expectations. They took great care of my Mom. Keep up the great work!! ☺️
Doug Fender: Fantastic and considerate service. Wonderful facility.

Greenlawn Funeral Homes: what do users think?
Keith Geringer: Made us feel at peace
Waggoner Home Center: The Bayless and Waggoner family were so pleased with service that was done for Christy Bayless. The amount of care, thought, and respect that was given to us during our time of grief was absolutely perfect. I will always recommend them!
John Vadeboncoeur: Needed to make plans from Kansas City. Brent was very helpful, saving me a trip to Springfield. Everything came together very nicely, very impressed!
JR P: Simply can't say enough about the support provided and available for everyone that's lost their loved one. It's above and beyond just providing a beautiful service for these guys. For myself, it's been five years since I lost my cousin and came across a page they had made for her. It's provides the opportunity to express feelings and thoughts. You can share memories and photos. Light a memorial candle in their honor. The ability to keep in touch with the other friends and relatives who are grieving the same loss. With all this your provided the opportunity to help each other through difficult times or come together and reflect on happy times and memories. This is just one example of how they go above and beyond and are willing to hold your hand & guide you through the darkness.
Randy March: The family of Willa March can’t say enough about the great service and genuine care we received from the staff at both the south and the east location. Especially Brent! Thank you for all the extra attention you gave and helping to make this memorial to this beautiful lady. You went above what we expected.Sincerely, Randy March and family
Kathy White: We could not have asked for better service or kinder people to assist us with every detail of our mother's funeral. I give them an A+.
ACIS IT Solutions: Greenlawn is very respectful and has great staff to help you through a very difficult time.

Greenlawn Funeral Homes: what do users think?
Jeannina Fraley: I cannot thank Debbie enough for all that she did for our family. She took the time to explain all of the pre-arrangements that my sister had done in 2009. We went into the nursing home not knowing my sister had made the process easier. Thanks again!
Bill Yarberry: good parking , large chapel , i could recommend
Hallie R: The service was lovely. There were two lady staff members who were very kind and helpful with my special needs 4 year old. They spoke with her, showed her the Christmas decorations, and offered her coloring books. I really appreciate their patience and understanding.
Zach Baker: They messed up a lot of things with my fathers funeral. Most notably they misspelled his name twice. The only reason I give them a 3 star is because they fixed it. That’s it. Other than that they were insensitive and arrogant.
Connie Kendrick: The funeral home staff was so awesome; however, the monument person is not so great....we have been waiting for over 5 months for the date of death to be engraved on my father's headstone (been there for 16 years since our mom passed away) and we were told that it should be done before Memorial Day.....that is crazy!!!!!!!!!!!! There is NO REASON that it should take 5-6 months for a date of death to be put on a headstone that is already in the ground! NONE!!!!!!! The rest of the staff is fantastic, but not the monument guy.....it breaks my heart that it is still not done.
Jeanne Manke: Please work on how you communicate with grieving families. Please go over the schedule and how much time one can dedicate to the service vs. the allotted time outdoors to say goodbye. We were only give a few minutes outside to see my father place in the ground. It was so emotional but the employees very obviously wanted to be done.
Bonnie Anderson: I was able to watch funeral yesterday but could not hear the minister speak. Need to work on that
Bray B: Thus far our experience with Greenlawn Funeral Home (North) has been anything but comforting, Trustworthy, Respectful ECT. And we haven't even had funeral .. Will update soonUPDATE:-⭐👎
Susan Murphy: Pray for one another and all those suffer with sadness
Adrienne Adams: Everyone was great. Our funeral director Mariah was fabulous, caring, and very supportive during our loss. Would recommend Greenlawn north for anyone needing funeral needs.
gloria daley: My son died and he was taken to Greenlawn funeral home. All of the people there were very helpful and caring. I couldn’t recommend this funeral home any higher, they were wonderful. I have my own funeral arrangements set up through them also.
Kathy McMullin: Nearing retirement is a good reason for more precise budgeting, especially regarding last expenses. I made an appointment with Jim Spackman and Mariah Cook last week. Jim was knowledgable and thoroughly gave me options to fit my wishes and budget. He was patient and kind while answering my questions without pressure. Mariah, also knowledgable, was a great comfort during moments of thinking about leaving family and friends in this challenging world some day. She helped me weigh benefits of the options and make final choices. Jim finished the paperwork and it was such a relief to have arrangements made with this Greenlawn professional team. It gave me the feeling that a huge weight had been lifted. I encourage everyone to do it by paying up front or making a payment plan. Thank you Jim and Mariah for your time.
Rachel Lynette Burks: Too much make up on him it was horrible Craig Lee I'll miss u dearly u have no idea. Love you
Karla Hanrahan: If you want someone who screws up the website, isn't sure what happened to your loved one's ashes, and then when they ARE found is told that they must have forgotten to order his urn (oops, the guy went on vacation and forgot to tell anyone), and THEN they take down a wrong return phone number when questioning the status of the memory glass so that a funeral home in Southwest Missouri is returning a call to some poor unsuspecting woman up in Iowa --- then this is the place for you!!!!!
Tracy Williams: Thank you for making the passing of our dad so much easier, your patience and explanation of every step was so much appreciated. You were wonderful.
M.: 1.) They placed my brother's ashes into the wrong urn and we had to wait for them to fix the mistake that could have been prevented if the staff communicated better.2.) We ordered a glass remeberence piece and they claimed to have it in at a certain time. However, when we stopped by to pick it up, it was not delivered and they didn't tell us until we arrived hours after the designated time. This facility does not practice decent communication with their staff or their clients.
tim merideth: Very kind as always. I have seen several family members there pass away. Thank you for your service.
Karla Reed: Grounds not being keep up, over grown grass everywhere , stones not being weeded around them.
mariah wescott: Good services for my dad's passing. Helpful staff and wonderful chapel. Thank you! Would recommend.
James Campbell: I have had the unfortunate experience of having to deal with Greenlawn on multiple occasions. I say unfortunate because we all hope that we never have to deal with a funeral home at all. Greenlawn staff have ALWAYS been caring and helpful. They are conscious of the difficulty a family is going through and they do what is necessary to help with even the most minute details.
Jason Essary: They were extremely helpful and took the time to make sure we understood all the details and took care of everything in a very professional and friendly manner.
