D.j. Macagno: Went in to Famous Footwear today. All the customers were told to leave because "an active shooter was on Battlefield " a couple miles away. Then same clerk told someone else the shooter was on Indepenance, the street the store is on. I was there in the afternoon and the school insident was around 9:30. After I left the store I checked, there was an active shooter report at Hillcrest School on the other side of town, miles away. But this seems strange to me that the clerk would ask you to go out where she said the shooter was! Is that right? Plus not having the correct information on the location of the shooter. You would think she would make sure. I know it's hard to find good help but, really!

Jason Mullen: Kailey S. was very helpful and went out of her way to help us by getting our sizes measured and carrying out all sorts of styles for us.
Katie Jarrett (Andranoria): Kailey was great for us! Helped me try on so many different shoes. I am not an easy person to find shoes for.
W.S. Blevins: They carry high quality HOKA footwear and their prices are reasonable.
Heather Johnson: Kailey was fantastic! Great knowledge of the shoe options. The machine scan was helpful to learn how high my arch was and that I lean in when standing. This helped determine what type of shoe and insert I needed. So personable and honest! God bless sweet girl!

After not really knowing what we wanted, he ended up picking out the perfect style and colors for us! He helped us realize what our actual shoe sizes are, and guided us to the best pairs for our types of feet. Never had such a great experience buying shoes. Great service and a great selection of quality shoes. We’ll be back soon!

Mikhayla Higbee: I needed a pair of hiking shoes for a hiking trip coming up, but also wanted to make sure that they could be multi-functional for on and off the trail so I can get the most value from a new pair of shoes. When I spoke with the salesperson over the phone and in-store, she was very friendly, knowledgeable, and understood what I was looking for. Although Plaza Shoe Store has pricier shoes than other places in town, the shoe brands they offer are high-quality and worth the money, and having someone guide you through a list of options is way better than dealing with the frustration of online shopping alone. Thanks to Plaza Shoe Store, I found a very cute and durable pair of Salomon trail running shoes in my favorite color, which I can't wait to wear to my upcoming hiking trip and wherever life takes me next!

Peace Haugh: I hate shoe shopping because I have huge feet for a woman, but I absolutely loved this store! The salesperson who helped me was so friendly and super helpful! From my experience in having big feet most shoe stores don’t carry my size and when I ask the associates either give me a judgy look or are annoyed that they have to go to the back, but the lady who helped me today was definitely not any of those things. She brought me out like 7 pairs of shoes to try on and then when I found one I liked she went back again to see if there were more colors. The shoes were expensive, but just the whole experience and finding good comfy and cute shoes really is what made me buy. 10/10 will buy from here again!

Rosie Wilder: They have a seemingly large collection for all ages and for men and women. However if you are a woman and need shoes that are a size 9 or higher would NOT recommend this store. I was there for 2 hours and I was lucky if they had a 10 or 11 in stock, and if there was any it was almost always only ONE box. There was not a single size above 11 and there are pretty much no wide options for anything available in store. I am incredibly disappointed in the lack of inclusivity in their sizing. I most likely won't ever be returning.

David Daniels: When Randy Little owned PFI it was great. PFI out sold the top three Calenders stores combined all by itself. Since taking over PFI they are already screwing things up. Cavender's isn't about customer service or employees well being. They just want to own 200 stores and to hell with how they do it.

Show Me State Moto: Will never go back here. Bought my son a pair of boots and the girl at the counter acted like she checked the size but after getting them home and my son wore them couple days said they didn’t feel right and found that one was a different size. Called them and said bring them back no problem then after drive a hour back there they said no they wouldn’t exchange the wrong size boot. So beware they will still have another pair not sized right. Paid to much money for boots for this kind of poor customer service !
