Drivers Licensing Station: what do users think?
Scott Novak: Everyone was great to work with has some issues with on line training not in their system but they worked with me to get it worked out . Sanders and the other lady's were very helpful and polite. Not like any other DMV office I was ever in.
1898: What a difference between the State and contracted staff! SURE WISH THE WHOLE DMV WAS STAFFED WITH STATE EMPLOYEES!!!The drivers skill testing was completely friendly and professional. Hands down,10 out 10 stars. From start to finish was a great experience!
Jena Holtberg-Benge: My son took is permit test here, and the examiners he spoke to were nice. But if you looking to do a drivers test go to Nixa, the driving test there has a much easier route.
Sue Wood: Everyone I have dealt with here have been super nice. Never a long wait.
Paul Burns: I had a great experience here. Officer Jones in the highway patrol testing office was especially kind. The lady's upstairs in the license office were also very helpful and had me taken care of in a matter of minutes.
Sam Stewart: State of missouri is a bunch of crooks.
Carla Fenton: Seems to be a quick trip for me but maybe that's just my luck. Definitely check what you need before you go. They are understaffed so be ready to be patient.
Ashley Stockdale: I know these ladies in the office deal with a lot of people through out the day, but they do not communicate clearly what you need in order to get things done. They send you 10 different places and still, and still something is wrong/ missing instead of clearly communicating the first time. The lady I spoke to was snarky & had a bad attitude, when I just simply didn’t know what I needed to do. Not very helpful or kind.
Sirwan Salihzade: They try to not get driving license in this Drivers Licensing Station If you are an international student. Try another place. They made me to go back and forth there for 11 times and I still haven’t got the license while I have passed the test successfully.
Idek: This place is kinda stinky 🤮
Tessa: The driver exam giver I got was very patient and understanding when I took the road test. I was so nervous I thought I was going to vomit, but she let me wait a few minutes before starting. Didn't yell at me for making a small mistake like the Republic office. Finally passed here, too, and I think the exam giver not being rude was a plus. I wish I could remember her name, but she was, I think, blonde and I took the test around 3:30 on July 30th. Whoever you are, thank you!
Charles Saffeels: People waiting and they are on the phone. Maybe they should stay of ty he phone and take care of us. If I worked like this I would not have a job
Andrea Grzemkowski: Both of the officers I spoke to in the testing room were extremely nice.Be back to finish testing...

South Springfield License Office: what do users think?
Ryan Blamey: Disorganized. I understand that it’s a busy office and that the lines are long. I appreciate that they have an option to renew registration online and so I did so 17 days ago. The money has been debited from my account but I never received my stickers in the mail. Address on file is correct. Things happen so this wouldn’t be that bad except when you call and select the correct options to speak w someone you eventually get a message they are currently closed (they’re not). It even tells you their hours (they’re open). And I did this same thing on Friday so it’s not a one off. I also left a message on Friday and haven’t heard back. I tried every option and you simply can’t reach anyone. If I have to go in, and take a number, and wait an hour then say so. Don’t waste my time by telling me I can call when no one will ever answer or return a message. As others have said, just go to a different office. Though I suspect since they’re managed by Elle also you’ll encounter the same problems.
Brandon Flood: Poorly communicated change of hours.
Stacee McDermott (stacalee): I went for my new tags around 9:30 a.m. on a Friday. There were several people but they still had open chairs. I heard that the system had gone down the day before so many of the people had come back. My wait was about fifty minutes. They really kept things moving. When it was my turn, the young lady had me on my way in less than five minutes. I have never had less than a positive experience at this location. The people that work here are very helpful and kind.
Alexie Welton: I went in today to get a Missouri license, and the clerk was extremely rude and disrespectful. The first time I went, I was missing my birth certificate, and the first clerk kindly communicated a list of things to provide. I do not know the second clerks name, but right away, she rolled her eyes, raised her voice, was short temped, used a disrespectful tone, and was simply unprofessional. In the end, I grabbed all my documents left the DMV, disappointed with her unethical treatment. This is a service I really needed, and she was completely reluctant to provide respectful communication for the situation. It's sad that this person is in charge of such important legal processes. Looking at the other post, I'm not the only one who has had this issue. If you're lucky, you'll receive service from the first clerk, but don't waste your time. Just go to a different DMV.
Malinda Jones: It is closed today, Truman Day. Google didn't inform me. I was hurrying for nothing.
Michael Smith: Rude staff
Dré Richardson: Opens at 8:30am but they won't really open the doors till about 10 am. Leaving people outside waiting. Ridiculous and rude of an establishment to be this tardy to open up for service. Yet they want to and will close at 5:30 ON THE DOT. Pathetic to say the least. Only thing good about this place is that it's bigger and nicer than the Northside DMV. If you need something done, you'd better wait till the middle of the day to be helped sufficiently.
Trystan Miller: I asked to get a REAL ID so I can fly to go visit my folks. Lady said sure, no problem. Come to find out, she just got me the SAME EXACT ID I already have which is not a REAL ID. Gave her the benefit of the doubt because she verbally confirmed it multiple times as I was mentioning flying. However, I go home and compare the paper printout to my old one, and it’s the SAME exact thing as I got when I moved here. Absolutely baffling and stressful.
Jason: The DMV is not open on Saturdays trust me don't waste the fuel don't waste your time they need to update their Google ad
Christine Kelley: They changed the hours and are only open one Saturday a month at 9am. Google needs to change the hours
Beau Brantley: Hours are wrong. 9-5 only
Erin Mach: I usually go to the location on glenstone because they’re much nicer and there’s less wait time, but I had to come here today because it was closer. On google their hours said open until 5:30. I walked in at 4:50 and got a ticket. At 5:05 a couple people tried to walk in and the lady yelled from the desk “we closed at 5, look at the door”. Apparently their hours changed and they didn’t post it online, just taped a piece of paper to the door. At 5:15 my number got called and as I was walking over to the desk, the woman LOUDLY said “we closed 15 minutes ago come on!” Apparently the time it took for me to walk from my seat to the counter was too much for her. I didn’t get her name, but she had red hair and she was very rude the whole time. Just avoid this location if you can. The other one is much better overall.
Rae C: I always appreciate coming to this office for any of my DMV needs. This is my third experience in less than a year and they are consistently efficient, professional, and helpful. They get customers in and out as quickly as possible but they really try to work with you and get you good information rather than finding an excuse to return you away. I tried going to the government-run DMV downtown and had a terrible experience. This place is privately run and those working there do a great job, keep up the good work! One note that isn't evident from Google: their hours recently changed, and they are only open on the LAST Saturday of the month, as it says on their website.
Lori lee: Time is not updated on Google which is done when Google calls and you press the prompts to update it with the automated system. It says online they close at 1230 on Saturday but they actually close at noon I came 2 min before noon and th doors were locked but Google said 1230. The door says they close at noon
jim drake: The best in Springfield.
Madison Morgan: I was here today and the manager went so above and beyond to help me, not only did she point out that something I thought expired was still valid and would save me $700 but diligently tried to help with a nationwide issue my bank is having.
Eric Weiskopf: Always busy.
Colleen Powell: Nothing like rushing across town to get there by 12:30 (what the website says) to be closed already at 12:00!
Maggie Seise: Need to change your hours of operations online and your automated voice-mail. There's about 15 people here on Sat morning at 8:30 and you guys are actually not open... update your information
Brookelyn Moyers: I came here yesterday with my husband and my service dog to get my license renewed, I've been putting it off for months due to panic attacks, severe anxiety, and agoraphobia, I passed the sign test with flying colors and my eye test but one, I have to brag on the sweet young woman that did my sign test, she did everything that put me at ease she had me laughing, she built me up, she was so charismatic, she went above and beyond for me and I couldn't be more grateful and thankful! It's people like her that make doing little things such as this even possible! I hope she gets ghe recognition where it's due!
Mary Geer: Always a pleasant experience, got two driver's licenses renewed in less than 1 hour.

Driving School-Midwest Training Center: what do users think?
Tia Clemens: Well worth the money. Teenage driver passed first time go and I feel safer about them on the road.
Jmz Jmzcustomz: Positive:Communication,Professionalism,Quality,ValueRick was AMAZING. We only needed a few lessons for our teen. She ended up with almost a PERFECT score on her driving test. Thank you for your kindness and professionalism!
Erman Villegas: Positive:Communication,Professionalism,Quality,ValueI am very very grateful to you, Rick was not only a good instructor is someone I learned to have greater confidence in myself I was a very big challenge never to drive nor did I think to do it with little English and never have handled pass the test in the first
Stella Sweet: I would highly recommend MTC. The instructor was extremely knowledgeable on roadway safety and rules. He was also able to make the course more relevant with exciting videos and scenarios as well as opportunities for class participants to work together to learn and reinforce the content of the course. I came out of the class more aware of my responsibilities as a driver and highly recommend all drivers taking a course from MTC. You wont regret it!
Jasper Risenhoover: MTC helped me grow in my knowledge and abilities as a driver. The six hours of hands-on driving lessons taught me things that I was never even taught as a teenager, especially since my high school didn't offer driver's education. The four hour classroom experience was also very eye-opening and reinforced important driver safety tips that can be applied in the real world. Rick Creed was a fantastic driver to worked with and helped me become more aware of the little things while driving that make a big difference to increase my safety as a driver and the safety of other drivers around me. I highly recommend MTC for all parents and teenagers, college students, or anyone else looking to increase their driving skills and become a better driver!

Jim Pendergrass Driving School LLC: what do users think?
Sue Christie: 5 stars is not high enough. Jim did such a great job. Both of our boys took lessons and have become careful drivers both passing the driver’s test easily and with confidence.
Christian Parks: Jim Pendergrass did an amazing job with my daughter preparing her for her driving test and being a safe, responsible driver. When it came time for my daughter to take the behind the wheel test for her drivers license, she was not nervous and she passed on the first attempt with a 92% score. The tester said my daughter was one of the best drivers she has tested in a long time. Thank you, Jim!!!
Ashley Norton: I would recommend Jim Pendergrass for anyone else who is learning to drive and for someone who is not comfortable with driving. He is very knowledgeable and patient. He knew me from driving my dads golf cart around lol. He will teach you everything there is to know about driving and what is expected for the driving tests! I would recommend taking your driving tests in nixa because he knows the routes.
Heather Hill: Coach Pendergrass is a wonderful driving instructor. My daughter was extremely anxious about driving, and I was anxious while teaching her, and our experience together with me trying to teach her to drive was causing us problems in our mother-daughter relationship. So I purchased a set of six lessons, and after the six hours, my daughter was then able to pass her driving test with a perfect score. I am very thankful my daughter could learn from Coach Pendergrass, and I will recommend him to everyone I know who needs a driving instructor. :)
Dawn Young: Our son was SO anxious about the drivers test. A close call on his first attempt wrecked his courage. Jim was fantastic with rebuilding his confidence and covering everything he needed to know. Patient, kind, and consistent he is worth every cent!
Amanda Brodeur: Jim was excellent. His driving tips were really helpful. Scheduling and sign up was very easy and efficient. I would highly recommend Jim.
Mason Oliver: He worked incredibly well with what I needed to grasp, e.g. in one hour I went from never having parallel parked to being able to do it with 100 percent ease, and thanks to him I nailed my test.
John Bleichner: My son just had lessons. I would highly recommend. He was very accommodating with times and scheduling. I would definitely send anyone his way.
Toni Messenger: Positive:Communication,Professionalism,Quality,ValueJim went above and beyond with teaching our son to drive. He helped build his confidence level up and has prepared him for the driving test more than I ever could. I’m incredibly grateful for his patience and expertise!
JACQUELINE JOHNSON: Positive:Communication,Professionalism,Quality,Value
Alexis Howell: Great instructor! He helped me a lot with getting over my nervousness when driving and gave great tips about driving. I passed my test with a 94 thanks to him :)
Ken Howell: Positive:Communication,Professionalism,Quality,ValueI can’t recommend Jim enough. My daughter had very little experience and actually didn’t want to drive. I called Jim and he got her started back driving. She got her confidence and passed her test today with a 94. If I had any more kids left I would definitely call Jim.
Mary M: Positive:Professionalism,QualityMr. Pendergrass is great with his students. He is patient and professional. He cares a lot about his students and goes to great lengths to make sure they succeed. We highly recommend him.
princess jusay: Positive:Communication,Professionalism,Quality,ValueJim is very helpful! He teaches very simple that helps me to understand it better and have confidence in driving. Would definitely recommend it to anyone who is interested in driving school!!!
Jaleh Nikfarjam: We had a great experience with Mr. Pendergrass driving lessons. He is very professional and patient with students that helped them to be confident when driving. My daughter's score was 94 and the officer said she did a perfect job. I am glad to find an excellent driving coach for my daughter and I recommend him to everyone. Thank you Mr. Pendergrass. You are awesome!
Becky Payton: Jim is great! Andrew felt more confident after just one session! Said he was a great instructor & patient & very knowledgeable! Highly recommend!
Kim Scott: Jim was a great teacher. Highly recommend!
A Martin: One of the best decisions we’ve made! Mr. Pendergrass was great to work with. Being a coach and teacher, he has a natural ability relating with teenagers. My son felt confident and very prepared after working with Coach P. Thanks so much coach!
Ethan Hoffman: Positive:Communication,QualityPendegrass was a great instructor and he helped me so much to figure stuff out
Susan Nottle: My daughter had some anxiety associated with learning to drive. Coach Pendergrass was patient and made her feel comfortable in the driver’s seat! After practicing more on our own she took more lessons to prepare for the test… they practiced the route and parallel parking and she passed the test on her first try with a 94%! The examiner said she did an excellent job! I would highly recommend! Well worth it!
Kenshin Rispoli: Great driving instructor, feels casual and comfortable, but helps a ton with driving.

Springfield Driving School: what do users think?
Lizabeth: I have received a certificate of completion six levels driving instructions. I definitely highly recommend this driving school!I had my lessons with Bill Nelson. He is amazing teacher. I learned a lot during these classes and I am glad that I decided to learn it with an instructor. It was very helpful experience!
Audra Green: Mr. Nelson is a great teacher who's very patient and knowledgeable.
Anja Williams: My daughter just completed 6 lessons with Bill and she learned so much from him! Her driving has improved dramatically. He really goes in depth and teaches everything in an easy-to-understand way. I also appreciate Bills easy-going manner. He made my daughter feel very comfortable behind the wheel! Money well spent!
Magnolia Coley: They are really the best school out there!!!
alaina steele: Bill was wonderful with our daughter! He was patient and kind and she greatly enjoyed the experience. Taking this course was instrumental in her passing the first time she took the driver's test and now she is licensed and confident to drive!!! Thank you Springfield Driving School!!!!!!!!!!
Troy Spilde: Needed some help training our son to drive and used Springfield Driving School.Very happy with the instruction and ease of scheduling.Instructor had him drive the anticipated course for practice, and taught him how to parallel park. Will use for our youngest child when the time comes.
Ashley Haire: This was amazing for my daughter! She had failed the driving test three times before I found them. She was a great driver but an extremely nervous test taker! She would panic and break out in hives it was a real doozy. They were great they took her through the course until she felt comfortable and helped her look out for things to expect that I wasn’t even aware of. She passed right after their help. I could not recommend them more!
Melissa Hughes: Bill was a wonderful teacher for my son. He is easy going and patient. I recommend him to anyone. Bodhi passed his driver's test without difficulty because of these classes.
Reagan Gale: A very good school, even if you drive well I would reccomend this to prepare for your license. They give excellent tips and set you up for success. They do a very good job on getting their students prepared.
Lillian: Super amazing experience! Driving instructor is super nice and gives a super detailed understanding of how everything works. In the lessons I took got my license the next day after last class with him. Got me to pass with great score on my driving test for my license. Would recommend to anyone that is learning to drive or in general needing a deeper understanding of how to drive.
Sara Cook: Cannot recommend Springfield Driving School highly enough! A wonderful experience from start to finish. Mr. Bill was wonderful to work with, very knowledgeable, and very thorough. My son gained great driving skills and confidence, and was very prepared to take his driving test. Would recommend Mr. Bill and Springfield Driving School to anyone with a teenager preparing to get their license!!
Kevin: Having a son who's blind in one eye, we were very nervous about letting him drive, but Springfield Driving School gave him the skills and confidence he needed and gave us some peace of mind to send him out on the road as well. I can't say enough good things about the instructors. They are honest, friendly and patient. Thanks for providing such a valuable service.
Ashley Choate: My son failed the driving test twice so we decided to get him some driving lessons. Just two lessons with Bill and he passed with 97%. We are so thankful for Bill and Springfield driving school. 10 out of 10 recommended!
Kevin Pearson: Bill is is an excellent instructor and very thorough with his instruction. Our daughter spent 6 hours on the road with Bill which resulted in a 95% driving test score.
Jessie: If you are having any doubts or are struggling to learn the basics of driving or are new to driving, Bill is the person to go to. I took part in the 6 hour course lessons and even though I have been behind the wheel off and on, it solidified my knowledge and confidence when it comes to understanding the rules of the road and driving technique. Bill is a kind, patient, knowledgeable instructor. He gives direction and information clearly and makes sure that after every lesson, we as students are understanding what’s being taught in each lesson. After so many years of struggling with the confidence to drive, I can safely say that Bill was able to give me the encouragement and confidence to be able to pass my drivers test on the FIRST try with EASE. This is a huge stepping stone for me and in turn his kindness and impact he’s had on me personally will not be forgotten!Their classes are worth the investment and I highly recommend to anyone and everyone who thinks they need it!
SHANNON BLACK: Mr. Bill is an awesome instructor, is patient, and has a great personality. He has taught both of my boys and made sure they were ready to take their road test confidently and safely. Mr. Bill is a honest man. He won't sign off until he is sure they are ready. There's not one better than him. Highly Recommend!!!
Dianne Best: Great Instructor. My daughter got a lot of good tips on driving an was well prepared for her driver’s exam.
katieintheozarks: My 19-year-old daughter had ordered a brand new mini Cooper which was soon to arrive in St Louis but she didn't yet have her driver's license. We practiced but I was nervous and we didn't practice enough. She tested once in downtown Springfield and failed so we called Bill at Springfield driving School and they were able to get us in quickly since we had A deadline with the new car coming in.My daughter took 4 hours of lessons over the course of several days and her confidence increased significantly. On the day of the test Bill took her downtown and ran through the course so she would be prepared and confident. My daughter passed the test with flying colors and the next day we went to St Louis to pick up her new car.Side note: Bill has a dash cam that faces out toward traffic and one that faces in toward himself and the driver. Allowing my daughter to ride in a car with someone we don't know maybe nervous but Bill is one of the least intimidating people on the planet.
Anita Freeman: When you Google search for a service or product, you never really have any guarantee that your search will produce a quality result. One of the most important things we as parents are often left to teach our children is how to drive. Driving is an activity that the majority of people will use every day once reaching the legal driving age. It is also one of the most dangerous and expensive activities that we do. I don’t take the skill of driving lightly. I wanted James and me to give our daughter the best training possible; just as we have tried to give her in other areas of her life; such as, academics and sports. By the the grace of God my Google search found Springfield Driving School with Mr. Bill Nelson. We had the most wonderful experience with Mr. Nelson and Zoë found him to be very calm and kind while articulating very clear and valuable instructions. After each lesson, he went over with us what she had completed during the lesson, how she did and what to expect at the next lesson. If you are looking for extra training for your teen or even yourself, we highly recommend Mr. Nelson’s driving school. As parents we feel that he has provided our daughter with the driving skills that she needs in order to correctly operate a vehicle and to be a more responsible driver. We want to thank him for such a wonderful experience.
Amanda Gravenstein: Bill is awesome, he really took the time to work with both my boys. I definitely recommend this driving school.
Malichie Irwin: There are very nice and very good at what they do Highly recommended
