Although there could be more attentiveness to the try ons because fresh strawberry cleanser was filled with product on the lid, most try ons are extremely well kept :)

Your Mom: Employees here are sincerely so rude. Youre constantly being bombarded and followed, even after telling them you don't need help. The managers there are absolutely awful. As someone who's worked in the mall for years, the Employees at Sephora are the most snotty, invasive workers. Makes the entire shopping experience annoying and unnerving.

My husband went by there to pick up my makeup (he is a kind soul) they very curtly tried to tell him that one other version of my brand was the same and it would be perfect for me (it was original vs matte, and sorry, I know what I need friend) and then RUDELY told him that they don't carry it anymore. This is NOT the first time I have had issues with your employees. There are times that they are very sweet, but there are others there that are condescending for no reason. It's makeup, people. Get off your high horse. You are working RETAIL which means you'd better be nice to your customers or they will go elsewhere and your store WILL shut down. I will be going to ULTA from now on. You are in the MALL WHICH IS DYING. Try a little harder.

Shaune Ilaban: I’m giving a 5 star rating solely on my interaction with the staff, especially Michelle today.She was stocking the display of the brand that I came to the store to find. I was standing behind for a short while, looking for a specific product and when she realized I was there, she apologized for being in my way! She asked what item I was looking for and she helped me find it. She was genuine in her questioning for why I was interested in that specific one. She brought me to another similar product that may be better for my situation. When discussing the benefits each one has, a question came up that she didn’t feel comfortable answering because she wasn’t 100% sure that the answer was correct. So she went out of her way to find someone who could give a definite answer. She then brought me a few other products to look into as well.I felt very welcomed by her and like she actually cared about me and my skin. I’m fairly new to skin care and I feel like not only did I find a product I think may fall in love with, I feel like I left the store with more confidence in my future purchases.

Jessica Mooney: The girls here are so sweet. I walked past them the first time they called out to me, in my own world, But I went over the second time. Freshly single with very sensitive skin, I usually avoid makeup kiosks like the plague. The girl who gave me the demo was very sweet. Talked to me about the colors that will work well with my eyes, complexion, skin tone. told me about the deals they had. She used the facial cleanser on me first, then toner, then moisturizer. I didn't feel pressured at all. I was running low on the makeup I usually get which is the Pacifica. I told her I usually use it because I like the matte look but don't like the oily feel when I sweat the makeup comes off my skin onto my hand so easily. She talked to me about skin types. She asked what I used for my daily routine. I told her I usually use Rose infused witch hazel for my toner and Jojoba oil for moisturizer. She said that would work great and didn't pressure me to buy the cleansers at all. I told her I'm very minimum with makeup usually with nude colors. She did several nude colors on my hands both wet and dry and the colors are so vibrant! I can definitely make this last a long time. I got four colors and the liquid liner. They gave me a great deal with the facial powder because I was limited on money but really liked it. And threw in the facial peel and facial primer as well! I really liked the peel but it was too much for my budget. No pressure to buy. Just two women having girl talk when getting makeup done. The owner is very sweet and I'm excited to go the the store they will be opening soon! They will be doing Facial Demos and Eyelash extensions! Its really nice to build a relationship with small store owners and know that you're not just a customer or a number, but a person who matters with a unique face and unique features. These ladies really brought out my features and I didn't look overly done up. They were happy about my honest opinion and gave me tips for different ways to use what I bought. I'll be going back there this Thursday go get my makeup done for a really nice event I'm going to. I really hope the store becomes a success because it'll be nice to have a place to go to that I know the makeup doesn't irritate my skin. Ill make another Review after a week of using to see how my skin handles the makeup. I'm really excited so please check back!

Gabby Sheets: The girls in the booth are very pushy. The last time I walked by the booth I was basically pulled in by my hand and kept trying to leave several times, as I kept saying I was meeting someone else at the mall and needed to go, but she wouldn’t let me leave and proceeded to put makeup onto my hand/arm. It is this reason that I avoid walking through the mall, because no matter what you say or even if you’re looking down at your phone they never stop their persistence.

Bonni Douglas: Cheap trashy glitter makeup of questionable origin. Try a good brand instead like Southern Magnolia Minerals. I've talked to three people who worked there who said they're told to drag people over, booth likes to avoid paying their employees commissions and uses the same makeup brushes on random people all day, occasionally spraying alcohol on them. That does not kill most bacteria on a brush. Buy real mineral cosmetics somewhere that isn't run by aggressive foreign salespeople who teach teenagers to chase you down the mall hall with their garbage powders.

Jessica Helm: I stopped after I was picked out by one of the sales associates. I listened to her demonstration and I politely said that I wasn’t interested several times. I waited for her to wipe the makeup off my hand so I could leave but she didn’t. Instead she gave me a dirty look when I said no and then continued to try to sell me the product. She put the products in my hand and offered me her employee discount, which was the same deal as before. She was very rude throughout this interaction and I felt hatasssd. If they try to talk to you, just keep walking for your own good.

TOTEally Rachael: Took my 13 year old to get her first makeover done and they didn’t disappoint! She looked beautiful and the colors were great for her age! So appreciated the attention and information! I was a little disappointed when I got home and used an eye shadow pallet I bought and found talc as an ingredient. :( I specifically picked MN because they say on their site that their makeup is talc free. So unfortunately I will need to double check before buying any powders there again.*edit to reply….thank you so much for the offer, it’s not that I’m allergic, just that talc is horribly toxic to our systems. Just thought with how much I spent, I’d be getting a clean powder. I can buy all the talc I need at Walmart prices. Not your fault at all! I just wish Merle Norman wouldn’t advertise being talc free if they aren’t. 😔

Trish P: I ALMOST WALKED BACK OUT TO DOUBLE-CHECK THE SIGN! This is Merle Norman? (Independence location, West of Walmart, Springfield). I expected an antiseptic feel with older ladies in white coats selling high quality Spackle. I was wrong! My sister and I walked in as she was looking for an expert opinion on a color match for her foundation. We were surprised with the fabulous clothing! From sweaters, tunics and pullovers to jeans and bags, not to mention the unique and beautiful jewelry. All of it, I mean ALL of it was reasonably (actually low) priced! Oh yes, we bought clothes! And the new owner, Shelly, was so gracious and welcoming not to mention incredibly talented and knowledgeable with the products. She found my sister the perfect foundation and did a mini-makeover that brought out my sister's natural beauty and shaved off a few years (if you know what I mean). No this isn't your grandma's Merle Norman boutique. You really have to check it out for yourself. Just say Trish and PJ sent ya! Confession: We went back three times over her one week visit.

michelle mcpherson: I have always loved this store and the staff has always been very nice and helpful but on 3/21 & 3/22 which was yesterday and today there was a man working and he was very rude and treated me like I was less than for some reason. As I was looking around for stuff he never offered to help but when I did ask him for assistance he seemed to just point me in a direction and said IF WE HAVE IT IT SHOULD BE THERE. Well I didn't find what I was looking for and after purchasing what I had I noticed a clearance sale and decided to check it out. While looking through it I dropped a box of acrylic nails which scattered and said SHOOT well he eventually came back and was standing over me watching and I looked up and said YES??? He replied with I just came back to help and he still stood over me as I continued to pickup the acrylic nails and when I had them all gathered up he then takes them out of my hands and ask if I'm planning on purchasing them and I said no and ge walked away with them. It was very rude all around and to have had to dealt with the same bad attitude for two days in a row was terrible so I guess it's back to Cos Mo or SSG.
