When I moved to Springfield, MO in 2019, I was more than a little surprised to find not only a bricks and mortar camera store.I have worked closely with their staff this year, especially store manager Rick Orrell, on a number of purchases and they have always been patient and accommodating.Special orders? No problem, they will have it for you in days. Turns out not to be what you need? Again, no problem, let’s try again. Price match the “big boys”? Never hurts to ask (but don’t forget you’re paying for expert knowledge, building a relationship and supporting your local economy.)Want to hang out and talk photography? It’s an ongoing conversation with a staff that is talented and creative.The store has a local reputation for getting people started as hobbyists and watching them grow into serious amateurs and/or professionals. I recently mentioned Bedford’s to the national rep for one of the three big camera makers and he immediately began praising the store.I have no idea how many times I have recommended this store in the last three and a half years but it’s a lot and I hope to be able to continue to do so for many years. Ell A May Absher: I will NEVER depend on Walmart photo to get an order in time for a holiday or any special occasion and will NEVER trust Walmart photo to handle irreplaceable phots/film for any reason. They are completely unorganized and never even attempt to make the situation better when they have caused so much damage.

Amanda Boyd: The photos are fair quality and quick ... If you can ever find someone to get you your order from behind the desk. A person could die waiting for help around there. You will see staff going back and forth through the doors to the back and no one has any way to help you check out. I have had multiple visits where I have stopped people to ask for help. The workers typically offer to call for help yet no one ever shows up. It seems like it is a quick and easy way to get your pictures printed, but all the time delay waiting to get your order makes it far more inefficient than it could be.

Jeffrey Collins: We had a question about a smoker in the lawn and garden department this afternoon. My wife waited in line at the lawn and garden check out and asked the cashier if there was someone that could answer a few questions. The cashier rudely stated that she was the only one back there and my wife would have to wait until she had time. I have checked out in this department in the past and this same cashier is consistently rude to customers. I am very disappointed in the service we received there and will be shopping elsewhere in the future.

Bill Leikam: Recently I purchased a Slate River Stealth Game Camera Mount. Now I've used other kinds of mounts from different manufacturers, but this one hits a sweet spot in that you can truly position it at any and all angles. Other mounts claim the same, however, the ball & socket have specific places where you can lock your camera in. With the Slate River mount it is truly a smooth 360 degree mount. I will likely buy several more.
