Fayemae Chen: Our visit today was very upsetting. My boyfriend and myself came in today to look for bedding. Disappointingly annoyed by the associates that were anything but welcoming. There is nothing more un-inviting than having a worker follow you around the store correcting/rearranging EVERY single item and bed sheet you touch and feel RIGHT after you touch it!! Well if you want people to leave your store immediately that’s the way you do it folks.The worst part is we actually like the merchandise but can not stand feeling like we are not welcome..

Hope Harl: Had a great experience at Sallie Home with Nancy. We needed to upgrade our dinnerware after our kitchen rehab and found a gorgeous selection. It’s wonderful to have a resource like this in St. Louis and we will be back.

Paola Stange: Purchased Sallie bedding through my decorator. Because of a previous experience with satin finishes, I expressed concern that they would wrinkle too easily and would need to be ironed. I, like most people, do not have the patience or time to iron sheets every time they are washed. The sales associate at Sallie reassured the decorator that this would not happen. Sure enough, the sheets and duvet look awful and sloppy after they are washed and dried normally. I have tried steaming, or them on slightly damp, etc., but of course, ironing is the only way the duvet doesn’t look like the bed is wrinkly and unmade. The decorator asked to return the sheets, but the store has refused to make this right. I would not trust anything that Sallie’s team tells you about their products. You will end up with expensive, but ugly bedding

Judy Sclair-Stein: I discovered this treasure-trove of personalized gifts last month and have been in several times. The staff is so pleasant and helpful, the gifts are unbelievably unique and they gift wrap everything! In many cases, The Cat’s Meow doesn’t even charge for the personalization.The other day I ordered a personalized Lazy-Susan charcuterie board. I had it engraved and personalized, but when I picked it up I still thought it was missing something. The manager of the store and the production manager worked with me…they went above and beyond…to make sure I was satisfied. I was already in love with this store and their exceptional care and customer service just took my admiration to the next level!

Ask for Mary Ann if you go into the store, she is wonderfully helpful.After a slightly negative customer service experience, I was BLOWN AWAY by the response of the Cat's Meow team and owner. The owner Cathy truly cares about her customers and was very sincere about working to make sure that I received exactly what I was looking for.Will definitely consider shopping here again now that I know how awesome the owner is and how much she cares about the quality of her merchandise! This is a wonderful local boutique - definitely check it out.

Sound Mind Therapy: I always go to Cat's Meow to get my baby gifts because I love that they are able to personalize it on the spot. As usual I left it to the last minute and went Saturday to get the gift for a baby shower on Sunday. I was told they were unable to personalize it because the employee who operates the personalization equipment was off. When I shared my disappointment that the gift was for someone in from out of town, they went to the owner who ended up calling the employee to walk her through the process of how to use the equipment. I can not tell you how blown away I was by the care, attention and customer service Cat's Meow offers. I recommend them with ever fiber of my being. I run my own business from the heart and believe Cat's Meow does the exact same!!!!!

D: Terrible customer service in the Monet gift shop and the large gift shop down stairs. They sent me back and forth for products because they did not know how to determine it they had specific items in stock. Went to the larger gift shop down stairs and the woman had no idea what she had in stock either. The cashier could not find anything in the back and was rude when I asked for help. I asked to speak to her manager who was in back to see if I could purchase several of the items I was looking for and because she clearly had no idea what she was doing or how to help people. I was told she could not help me. I ended up leaving without purchasing anything. I rather purchase at a different museum. My experience was so bad I did not even stay to see the Monet exhibit. I have seen the exhibit elsewhere and would rather support any other museum.

Bryan Rupp: Very good museum gift shop. It has a unique selection of items to be purchased to mark your experience touring the exhibits at the museum. There's a large selection of artistic clothing as well as children's toys. In addition, they have a nice selection of items which replicate famous art works. I would have liked to have seen more items dedicated to visiting the museum as a memory of the experience. This is the only reason this is not a five star review.

Cheri Rich: My favorite boutique/gift store! There are dozens of choices for great gifts for any person and any occasion! On my most recent visit, Kristin helped me put together a great gift package for my college daughter. After deciding on a robe monogrammed with her sorority initials, I wanted to complete the look with matching monogrammed slippers. They both turned out incredible! The customer service is also above and beyond any other shops. Absolutely no need to shop online. Way more fun and incredible selection at Sweet Boutique.

Ji Min Lee: I do not recommend this place for embroidery. I wanted to support a small business so I brought in two sweatshirts for embroidery. It was actually an idea I received from one of their associates during a previous visit to their shop. When I came to pick up the two sweatshirts, it was embroidered incorrectly. It had both of the names on each sweatshirt. When they showed me the "order form" that one associate had written my monogram order on, it was highly confusing and written in an un-orderly fashion on a ripped sheet of paper.Although the embroiderer was kind enough to re-do the order, each sweatshirt is now left with marks from the previous mess-up and the outline from un-doing an embroidery. Not to mention, I had to follow up numerous times regarding the status of the order. When I asked for a refund, I was told that "embroidery is not guaranteed on outside items." Notwithstanding the fact that this disclaimer is not specified on any of my order documents, the mistake was solely the responsibility of the shop, and not a defect on the outside item.TLDR: Highly disorganized, little care, will mess up your embroidery.

I had a $48 coat embroidered there for $20 and the lady who took my order wrote down the order but her notes seemed not detailed so I asked her to repeat them and make sure she has all the particulars, she then said she’ll take a picture (from my sample item) to make sure it’s exactly like that. When I went to pick up the item, it was embroidered on the WRONG SIDE and much lower too. I asked if they could redo it and another girl at pickup said she’s not sure, will ask owner. I asked her to call the owner, she tried THREE times and the owner didn’t pick up.I asked for a refund or even a discount and the girl said she will let me know after talking to the owner (she didn’t know when owner will be there so I could talk to her). Later that day the girl at pickup called me back saying there is NO GUARANTEE ever that item is embroidered as ordered?? And they can’t refund or discount their mistake but I can bring in another coat to embroidery? I was very confused because they ruined a $48 coat with additional $20 embroidery and now want me to bring a second coat with no guarantee that it will be done correctly this time?? I was very upset and emailed the owner and its been 3 days and I haven’t heard back from them. VERY DISAPPOINTED!

Grace Hardester: I am not pleased with this boutique at all. I ordered an embroidered hat back in March. I called and went to the store 4 different times to get the hat. The first time, sometime in May, my hat was not ready. They second time, they told me my hat was ready, when I got there it was stained, so I asked for them to redo it. The third time, I went back again and the hat was stained again (2nd time). She apologized and told me they would have a new one ready for me the next day. Four days went by and I never heard from them, so I called and they told me the owner would be in in 30 minutes and she would do it and call when it was done. Three more hours went by and I never received a call, so I went to the store and they told me that the owner was actually coming in at 4 and that the hat wasn’t ready. I will never be going back to the store and I suggest people check their items for stains before purchasing.

J Shaw: What a spectacular assortment of wonderfulness in a small space. I wanted to walk out with everything. If you are a personalization fanatic, this is the place! If it stands still, they can put your mark on it - everything from duffel baga to Nora Fleming pieces can be personalized. This is definitely a place I will be spending a lot of time. The shopkeeps are super helpful without being lurky, too.
