Jennifer LeeMoss: New gas hot water heater installed in March 2023. Paid in full. After installation, pilot light repeatedly extinguished. So far have had four service calls. The first, we were told it probably was a fluke/anomaly. The second, we asked for a replacement as our previous heater never had a bad pilot light in 10 years- Roto-Rooter refused and we were told the gas pressure into the house was likely to blame and we should call the gas company. Gas company came and told us that not only should Roto-Rooter have checked the gas pressure themselves, but that the pressure was fine and it looks like we were sold a faulty product. The third time, we again asked for a replacement, and Roto-Rooter refused, and instead replaced a thermocoupler. We are now waiting for them to show for the fourth time. Complaint has been filed with the Better Business Bureau. Do not use this company - they are selling bad equipment and will refuse to replace it and you will be left repeatedly finding out you have only cold water and wasting lots of time and money taking off work to wait for a company that will leave you holding the bagService:Water heater installation

PJW: I own a slab home were my residents were having issues with water leaking from under the foundation. We had the pipes camera to determine what the issue was and found that some of the pipes had cracks in them which were causing water to leak out. Rather than breaking up the floor and replacing the lines we engaged NuFlow to come and use their technology and service to “line” the pipes so that the cracks would be repaired. We gave NuFlow the camera video that we took and they provided an estimate to get the property repaired. This process took 4 days in which I had to displace the family renting this home to a hotel during this period. After the family moved back in they found that the original problem that NuFlow was hired to correct was still happened. Nothing changed or was better after NuFlow provided their services. When we contacted NuFlow about this situation they sent someone out to investigate and told me that NOW the issue was in an area of the pipes they “could not repair” and then recommended we hire and pay for another plumbing company to come out and break up the concrete floor to repair. Aaron had the problem solved in 1 hour and was gone. Price was reasonable. Cause of the problem was trees roots and 40-years of sludge clogging the main sewer lateral. Hydroblasting along with a video camera chronicled the entire experience. I was provided with before and after videos for my records. Communication was subpar at best, and the work discussed during the walk through for the bid was completely convoluted in the written bid - mind you this bid didn’t arrive until after multiple phone calls where he ultimately stated “I’ll go out to my truck and write it now.” The timeline for the requested was work explicitly stressed prior to agreeing to their bid, and I believe it was only agreed to as a “money grab”. We had another highly professional master plumber come in after the work was completed and pointed out several points that should have been made by this company. Luckily, lesson learned so they will not be retained for our remaining 2 investment properties nor those in the future. It’s a shame that integrity means so little among those in this trade as of late.
