Troy Kirk: We just moved to the area, and a Google sure led us to the St. Louis Vetinary Center. It was a clean, well presented building. They staff were very friendly, and they were reasonably quick to complete a health check on my dog. Great experience. Highly recommend.
Bahareh Adhami: The staff are very helpful, and do their best to address any questions or concerns. I called them to inquire about the policy and document requirements for internationally traveling with my pet, and they patiently answered all my questions and even did some research and called me back to provide more details. Highly recommend them!
Jackson Donald: Our last vet was amazing, but you could tell she was more comfortable here. This is definitely our vet for now on. The prices were also not bad considering it's an animal hospital. Thank you so much.
Robin Lee: This was our first visit to this office. I was very pleased with the service. Front desk folks were friendly and Dr. Dillon and staff were very gentle and thorough with my dog's exam and vaccinations. My dog is usually very apprehensive with new experiences, but she was calm and at ease with the staff there.Also, the building is very clean.I am happy we found this veterinary clinic as we had some not so great visits at the one I had been using for the past 3 years. I would recommend these folks to anyone looking for a caring, thorough, veterinarian.

The only vet I knew/trusted was back home, so I needed to find a new one. My friend recommended this vet to me and I'm glad everything worked out!Dr. Dillon is so good with my kitty. Binx can get a little shy at his appointments, but Dr. Dillon is very kind and patient with him. There's no one else I'd trust with my cat!

Eric Romano: I have been taking my dog, Bear, here for three years and couldn't imagine going anywhere else in Minneapolis, especially considering the Mill District location is just a 5 minute walk from home. The one-stop-shop elements of having on-site daycare, grooming, a small but well-curated retail area, doggy hotel and obedience training are well worth the price! Also love that we can always check in on him during his stay with their camera system 📸🐶

Laura Kremer: We recently had the heartbreaking experience of putting our beloved pet down. The care and compassion demonstrated by Dr Shaw and his team is EXCEPTIONAL! The environment is just like your living room. You have all the time you need and they have a subtle way of letting other clients know that someone is saying goodbye to their loved one so it is quiet in the waiting area.I cannot say enough good things about how they made saying the hardest goodbye tolerable.Best Vet in St. Louis according to this client.

We took our golden retriever to Banfield for almost 2 years and they NEVER allowed me or my husband back with our dog or explained to us what was happening medically. At KAH we NOW get to go back with our Buddy boy for every visit, talk to Dr. Shaw about what is going on, and get one on one treatment. KAH gets you in quickly, helps you over the phone, suggests home remedies for things that are not dyer, and much more! We now have two dogs and neither of them get anxiety when going to see Dr. Shaw; Buddy and Scout get pets, treats, attention, and love. 10/10 recommend everyone bring their pets here!

Marion Eaton: Grooming side has issues - - - fours calls to their answering machine over two weeks to cancel and reschedule, but no response. If you like being ignored, or waiting on holder a LONG time to contact their front desk in hopes of finding out what's going on (they don't know) then this is your place.

Kendra K: Don’t have enough good things to say about Kingsbury and Dr. Mitchner. The facility is wonderful and well laid out - check out is on the opposite side of check in so you don’t have to walk through a crowded waiting room to exit the building (lifesaver for those of us with leash reactive dogs). Dr. Mitchner remembers my dog when we come in, and the staff always return calls same-day when I’ve needed to call in to ask about something. By far best vet experience I’ve had.

Adrienne Newcomer: I just want to say how great the staff and Dr. Shaw are. They diagnosed my cat with a pretty severe heart murmur and got us a referral to VSS. When we went to do a dental, Dr. Shaw went above and beyond to call us and recommended and refer us to a dental specialist instead because of her heart disease. They said they could try but felt her heart disease warranted someone who is more experienced with heart disease and anesthesia. They could have went ahead and done the dental and made money off it. But Dr. Shaw laid it out plain and simple and I am so grateful for that.

Erin Coleman: I have a ferret with both insulinoma and adrenal disease. After her vet closed, we struggled to find one that was up to our standards. Creve Coeur Animal Hospital was honestly a godsend for both me and my pet. My little gal is once again getting the care she needs and deserves. I would highly recommend this vet to any ferret owner.
Burks Gertrude: They are professional and answer patiently on all your questions. The pricing was good and they won’t give you any unreasonable medication or tests.
Karen OLeary: Very friendly and professional staff. We were able to get same day appointment even though we are from out of state (previous customers until we moved 2 years ago). Excellent facility and staff!
Linda Shore: We have been taking our two dogs to the Creve Coeur Animal Hospital since 2004, and although we love Dr. Chris Moritz as our regular vet, I can also attest that when he is not available, the other vets on duty have also been thoroughly knowledgeable, competent and professional. They all have a great rapport with both their human and animal clients, a good "bedside manner." The vet techs are very well-trained and provide useful follow-up demonstrations and/or general information. The front desk employees are as pleasant and helpful as can be. This is definitely a well-run veterinary clinic that I would happily recommend to people!

Forest-Ghost: I can’t speak highly enough of creve ceour animal hospital and Dr. Ronnie. We recently brought our two bunnies in for a routine checkup and from the very get go the level of expertise and attention to detail was very evident. For the entire exam you could tell that Dr. Ronnie was not only paying very close attention, but also has an incredible depth of knowledge. She readily addressed all our concerns and after recently losing one of our bunnies in a traumatic experience, this was a breath of fresh air.Trying to find a veterinarian who specializes in small animal medicine can be tricky, so when we saw Dr. Ronnie’s background in small animals we were especially excited. I can’t recommend creve ceour animal hospital enough, especially if you have a rabbit.

When we made the decision to help our sweet little 16 year old doxie cross the rainbow bridge they were so kind, gentle, and understanding. We love this practice.
Stephanie Baker: We have had nothing but positive experiences. The front office staff lets me walk my anxious boy outside until they are ready for us (never a long wait). The vet tech and veterinarian (we have seen two with wonderful experiences each time) take their time with my pup so that he feels comfortable with them before any physical exam. He is reactive to eye contact by strangers and they are receptive to a modified exam for his comfort. I cannot remember all of their names, but shout out to Dr. McCowen and the entire team. You are an amazing group.

Annabelle Allons: Incredible. Absolutely incredible. We brought Phantom in with him needing immediate car and the staff acted fast. They grabbed him from my arms and got to work. When we got the news about his genetic disease and that he wouldn't be returning home with us, the Veternaian carefully walked us through what was wrong and the euthanasia process, they gave us as much time as we needed to say goodbye and love on our baby for the moments we had with him. From there, they were kind and curdious. From the personalized card with seeds we can plant in honor of our cat, down to the beautiful box we received with his remains. They we've very understanding of our situation and made sure our baby was loved and cared for even after he crossed the rainbow bridge. We still have two 7 year old dogs that we confidently will be bringing to this amazing facility. Thank you all so much for the care your provided for my family. We are so happy to have him home where he belongs. If I could give them more then 5 stars I absolutely would!
Angela Wilson: When i had to say goodbye to my dog, i couldn't have asked for a better experience.When my husband and i got there, we were escorted to a room immediately.The room was dimly lit with soft, soothing music in the background. All kinds of snacks were laid out for her. Including chocolate! She had her first taste of chocolate!They also had bottles of water out for us. Soft comfy blankets for her to lay on. Grief support handouts were made available.Each step was explained in detail. They always made sure we knew what was going on.The staff was amazing. The veterinarian was amazing. The whole experience was, well, amazing.I will never go anywhere else.

Holly Delaney: I had a phenomenal first visit here. I brought my dog in who needs a front limb amputation, and left feeling confident in the decisions made for my dogs care. They answered all my questions regarding the surgery and the pricing was incredibly fair and comprehensive. My dog was very nervous and vocal at the appointment and they took their time with him and made him feel as comfortable as they could. The vet tech and the vet also both gave me advice on other concerns I had about my pup regarding his seperation anxiety and I appreciated it so much! To top it off, when I called to pay the deposit and book the procedure, the person I spoke to was so kind, funny, and calmed my nerves about the procedure by telling me about their own tripaw’d pets. On customer service alone I would give 10 stars if I could!!

Amy K: This vet is incredible. We were from out of town, it was Christmas Eve, and our dog started experiencing hives and difficulty breathing. We found this vet on google maps based on proximity and we got so lucky. The entire staff was so friendly, compassionate, and efficient. Our dog ended up fine, but during such a horribly stressful experience they were life savers. We had our other two dogs with us and they graciously allowed those dogs inside as well. The vet was extremely methodical in explaining to us both the pricing and treatment he was recommending. Would absolutely recommend this vet to anyone, considering how well they treated random one time clients speaks volumes about the quality and empathy of this practice.

We've referred several friends to Hillside, and they also absolutely love it. Our doggy (who has some reactivity due to some past trauma) has received varying types of care at Hillside. They are always so patient and wonderful with him (and us), while making sure he gets the quality care that he needs. Their prices are MORE than reasonable, and I would love to shout out Dr. Brittney in particular for her support, kindness, and expertise. Go to Hillside - you won't regret it!!

Rebel 420: There are new people here and it shows…it was a very uncomfortable visit…I felt like the person that assisted me did not like that I was a person of color…I was given a reasonable price over the phone for my new fur baby to have her first check up…once I arrived the person wasn’t very welcoming and wanted me to pay more than double what I was told over the phone. She was obviously very annoyed and clearly didn’t want to deal with me. She seemed very rushed and unwelcoming…I decided not to have anything done because of this. They then recommended a prescription for anxiety which I found out later was just to get money out of me….I will never take my fur baby here again. This place use to be my go to but brown people clearly aren’t welcomed here.

They are trained in dog body language as well and they gave me peace. They gave my dog a lot of treats and time and love and patience. They were loving and kind and gentle. They gave my dog a lot of positive reinforcements and licking mats and he had a successful visit. If you have a fearful dog please go see Hillside. We will be back -that is for sure.

Andrew Richmond: I've taken my pets to Hillside for years, but I don't think I'll be going back. Over time the level of service has fallen off, and the prices are astronomical compared to other vets in the area. I used to justify the cost because I felt like they really cared for my pets. But not so much anymore. Just recently I called to get two boosters for my dog (needed for daycare), and somehow I ended up being scolded by a very rude receptionist, as if I was an idiot for not knowing I needed to schedule vet visits "at least 5-6 weeks out." Then she said I should go to another vet and she would be happy to send me the records. I mean I've spent tons of money at this vet over the last 15 years. So, after all this time, I'll just go somewhere else I guess.

It’s now been a year after he first treated my cat and she is completely healed. I 100% recommend Dr. Hooks!
Amber Kennedy: Just brought my 12 week Great Dane. I was very pleased with the amount of knowledge Dr Hooks had for her as with my previous Dane it was hard to find a vet that was so familiar with large breed. She was in and out and loved the friendly staff.

Jess Bellomo: I've been taking my pets to Dr. Hooks since 2011 and trust him and his team completely. They've always been kind, helpful, competent and caring. They've cared for my 2 dogs and 2 cats and helped us through so much over the years, including surgery, arthritis care, allergies, teeth cleaning and pulling, grooming, diabetes management, and when it was time to put my 17-year-old cat down, the whole team was there for me. Couldn't recommend them more highly.
A M: I initially gave them 5 stars, but they have gone downhill since COVID. The staff is extremely friendly and kind. You will be fine with routine maintenance of a healthy pet Dr. Hooks, the primary vet, is good, but has likely been spread thin or is trying to shift more tasks to others. Every experience I have had here with anyone besides Dr. Hooks has been generally terrible. Two staff members together could not take my dog's blood and were just repeatedly jabbing the needle in with my dog yelping. Another diagnosed my dog with arthritis when it was cancer. Once I had a blood test results sent to them as an update and they called me to report the results of a blood sample they believed they had taken. Because they are so kind, I hate giving a bad review, but the health of a loved pet comes first for me, and I no longer believe that pets can receive great care here.
Erin B: I can’t comment on the veterinary clinic itself because i never made it that far, but their customer service is sub par. I called this clinic as a new client looking to bring my cat in for bladder issues. I was told that they were accepting new clients but it would be later next week before they could get me in. I mentioned my concern and needing to get him in sooner and she told me that typically they save their sooner appointments for existing client emergencies (totally understandable) but that she could get me in sooner; I was SO grateful. She then offered multiple times that were sooner than next week and I took one. I was told $95 to hold my spot and that the $95 would cover the exam. Done. Unfortunately, due to my cats situation, I ended up taking him to the er the next day instead. The following day I called the clinic to cancel my appt since he had gone to the er and things were looking up. This time, a different lady answered than the first. The only thing that I said was ‘hello, I wanted to call and cancel my appointment because I ended up having to take him to the er’. The lady on the phone immediately started saying how they don’t do refunds and why they don’t do refunds and told me ‘it is what it is’. She went on a rant about how she was standing next to the person the other day when i called and she said that they told me that there are no refunds….I hadn’t even asked about a refund…. I simply replied ‘okay…’ and she continued on about how she understands if I’m upset but that that’s the way that it is. So I said whatever and hung up.I called back to speak with someone else who would maybe actually have a conversation with me about still getting him seen so I didn’t completely waste my $95. She told me that whoever else I would talk to would tell me the same thing. It wasn’t until then, that she offered to still get him seen and scheduled me a new appointment. But after customer service that bad, I decided that I would not be spending anymore money with such rude service. Very disappointed with how this situation played out.

Kelly Meyer: We recently moved to St. Louis and found ourselves in a bit of a bind when we found a bat in our house which our indoor cat (who we had let lapse on his rabies booster) had access to. We had called multiple area vets, none of which were willing to give him the booster due to a lack of appointments they all said were due to staffing shortages. I called Big Bend Vet Clinic after a glowing recommendation from my coworker and was so grateful to Shannon for finding a place to squeeze us in. Thank you!!
Cykoiscrazy07 !: They did everything in there gracious heart to keep my puppers going. Only 24 hour Vet near STL right now. I said a prayer for all the puppers and cats and animals going in and out. The staff was very friendly . The Dr was on point about everything and gave me all the right steps to do to follow up with my regular vet. Daisy May is doing better each day tho the bed rest and taming her food has been ruff for her. She didn't like me getting the she shed back out but understands.
Coral Reyes: Big Bend Vet Clinic is wonderful! I established a relationship with them 1 year after my dog’s gotcha day for Jaxon’s annual checkup. The staff has been great, from the time Trish answers the phone to the Vet taking care of Jax. He unfortunately got kennel cough mid-year and they fit me in the same day I called to get him treated and in meds. I have zero complaints. Easy to schedule and lovely staff. Can’t speak more highly.
Lauren Reed: I take my dog to Big Bend and they are so good with him!! The techs are all so kind and gentle and the vet himself is very knowledgeable and patient. I feel like they actually care about my pet! Not to mention they’re always quick to answer the phone and get your animal on the schedule.

From my big to small animals I get tremendous compassion, kindness and informative care. I have brought in rats, cats and hedgehogs and it is rare to find a diversified and caring vet of this magnitude local and in one office. There is a reason this is my go-to for all my animals.

Carolyn Duckworth: Im giving this three stars bcs I waited on the parking lot for a little over four hours and my pet still wasn't seen. While waiting I called another vet who had a cancellation and was able to take us in to examine and treat her. Apparently Big Bend triages animals based on their particular emergency and do not take you on a first come first served basis. Never got a chance to see a Vet here so can't give a fair rating.
Roger Kummert: I have been using Big Bend vet for several years. They are knowledgeable and diagnosed one of my dogs with a food allergy after two ear infections. Highly recommended.

Victor Najduch: This is my favorite vet in town. They provide both medical and homeopathic treatment for all sorts of pets and are one of the few vets in town that actually appear to like animals. My elderly dog got acupuncture here for the last 5 years of his life and it was a huge help. Doctor Erik is the best.
Tina Dubuque: Dr Eric gave our older Yorkie acupuncture for arthritic joints. Helped greatly! Highly recommend this practice, which combines American and Asian veterinary medicine.

With no history at St. Louis Hills, I happened to call when Dr. Stacey was in on her day off, and she suggested that I come in. She spent a lot of time with Callie making her comfortable and assessing her thoroughly. Callie now has meds for another week and a follow-up appointment. At a time when some vets aren’t taking new patients because they are so overwhelmed, St. Louis Hills welcomed us with open arms. Callie and I are so grateful, and we have a new vet - Dr. Stacey! 💕
Krista Stice: The team here is so friendly! I didn’t feel rushed at all and I definitely had a few questions which were all answered. This is the calmest I’ve seen my cat at the vet…! It seemed very clean and I did not notice a smell at all when I walked in like some vet clinics, so that may have helped as well as the dr and vet tech treating him like their own. Highly recommend!
