William Lafontaine: I came in looking for SNES games, it seemed to me they had a better selection of Genesis games, but still a good selection nonetheless! The guy working there was helpful and enthusiastic. They also had a lot of CIB games which I was pleasantly surprised by. One negative is that some games were a bit overpriced, but some were a bit underpriced so it balances out. Some places like this have grumpy old dudes and obscene prices, but not here! Overall, if you’re a fan of old video games (or new because they had a lot of new used games too for very cheap) then I definitely recommend stopping by here.

jess cheeks: Just moved from a KY a few weeks ago and seen I was close to these guys, every time I’ve went it’s been a great experience. Traded some consoles and got me a PS Vita! The charger included didn’t work so I brought it up there for them to check out and they replaced it no questions asked! They try to make every purchase right and as easy as possible and have a HUGE selection of almost everything you could want in a store like such. Definitely recommend going to check these guys out!

It's the only place in StL like it, so give them some love.They paid me an extremely fair amount of cash back for some retro items, first off. Which means they know what your wares are worth.Secondly, they sell all kinds of Retron and other consoles, meaning they know what they're doing. These folks are experts, as evidenced by their Instagram posts.Want a hand-held SNES? They've got it. Want some old Genesis carts? They've got it. And many more items!If retro gaming runs through your blood, and you live in StL, make a trek here. You won't regret it for a nanosecond. You'll find products (mugs, cards, frames, Game Gear carts) that will be...."right up your alley". It's like an internet marketplace but IRL. DO IT.

Sydnee Clemente: Was bought 2 games for my birthday, first one was a fake second one didn’t even work. Came in with receipt, they wouldn’t return it because I didn’t have the persons card that bought it for me. On top of that after explaining to them what was wrong with the games he asked if I wanted a different game I said no I’ll just get my money back and go to my game shop he replied with “well if you’re going to be rude I can turn you away” poor customer service, and not friendly at all.
Dustin Flassig: BUYER BEWARE!!!!! We used to come here all of the time and we have spent a lot of money here. However, they changed their return policy and it is garbage. We had a brand new puzzle that was unopened but it was not the one my daughter wanted. I went to take it back and they offer no return, not even store credit. As well, they said they return damaged items. We bought another puzzle that was "new". When we opened it, the puzzle pieces were not in a bag and parts of the puzzle were put together. Not just a few pieces but basically the entire boarder. When I showed him he said offered that they didnt re-shrink wrap it (as they have a machine there) and they dont sell used items as new. I no longer believe them and I think all should beware. I will no longer go to them for anything.

Zax Meyer: johns one of the best people in this city, he and his staff are more than knowledgeable and are passionate about their work.
X Gemstone: This place was outrageously fun! Having everything from Sega to anime and videogames to an extensive magic card collection, it was as impressive as the building itself. Using an old bank was genius! The decorative ceiling and baseboards really added to the atmosphere.Addtional to their main space for league games, they host any type of game night you might want in a room off the back. A night costs only $20!

Ksha Butler: I'm not much of a gamer. However they have everything from cards to books and games and system's. They seem fairly priced. They are warm comfortable and sell snacks. So even if you don't game it is a nice place to relax and read a book. The workers are very friendly and make time to talk the customers.

Zak S: I did not know this store existed until a few weeks ago, but I'm very happy I found it. Went there for a D&D manual and ended up looking around for the better part of an hour. They have a large retro and modern video game selection with some pretty cool pieces and some more rare games. It also looked like they had a massive selection of Magic cards and plenty of space to play.Awesome building, nice selection of games, and very friendly staff. I'm glad I was swung in here to grab Monsters of the Multiverse, and I'm looking forward to going back.

Alex Zoller: Moved to Maplewood last May and I am so grateful we have a shop like this nearby. Everything is organized so well by publisher and alphabetically. It makes it very easy to find what you need, although someone has come up and greeted me every time I have come in to make sure I didn't need anything specific. Have be recommended so many great series. The staff is great you can tell they go the extra mile to make the shop fun and welcoming for us all. Strongly recommend for anyone looking for board games, comics, manga, mini figures, t-shirts, and even a section in the back for younger kids. Honestly, even if they don't have what you're looking for I bet it will be a great experience just going in. 👍

Bernie Dippolito: I have some old comics and was looking for some advice on value and if I should get them graded. They were very helpful, friendly, and knowledgeable. I also inquired about their Pokemon inventory and they have Pokemon games on Sunday in the store, a great spot to teach kids about the game.
Nubs: This place is has a lot of interesting items. Unusual Board games, some DND paraphernalia, and a good variety of comics- including some manga.

Seth Lindsey: Still feel like I'm getting my feet wet in the comics arena, and both this and the South County location do a great job of making things accessible in a non-Comic Book Guy sort of way. Titles are organized alphabetically by publisher, then title. There's more than just comics here as well, with board games, paints, figurines, dice, and a whole lot more. The clerks are friendly and full of advice, there also seem to be a lot of extra events going on as well, make sure to keep up with them on Facebook.

Kaleb McKnelly: Called me to come pick up a preorder and said that they would hold the game until the end of the week. Go in within the timeframe that they gave me and said that they already sold the game. Game was supposed to come with a preorder bonus, and they refused to give me the item although they did not have the game to give me. The store also refused to refund the amount on the preorder saying that I would need to transfer it to another game.Store manager claims to have no idea that any of this happened because he was out sick with COVID (and was in the store not wearing a mask.Store manager also sends me to the counter where the girl is not doing anything, the immediately intervenes because the customer he was working with left the store.This is not the experience I ever had with the old store manager, and the service in this store has gone downhill fast! I will not be doing preorders at this location again

G: The store itself is clean, has lots of space, a decent amount of games to choose from, and the largest variety of minis I've seen at a local game store. Employees were extremely nice and helpful despite being busy. Other people in the store were welcoming to people looking to join for games. Their online calendar is accurate a vast majority of the time which is incredibly helpful. The billboard inside lets you see anything that's not on the calendar. Best game store I've been to, especially in terms of welcoming new people.

Quintinus Gherardini: I've been going to gamestops for many years. It's a sad place to be. There are some games, but I mostly buy things online. They are trying to keep the stores alive by offering a place to trade in games for cash or store credit but all in all I wasn't impressed. More accessories, toys, and clothes than games.
Suzanne Chisum: Staff was nice. I thought they had some unique offerings that a gamer and kids would enjoy. However, I was instructed to go there to make a return for Happy Returns. It took two trips, and they could only accept the one item as they did not have a bag big enough to accept some shoes. The first trip I made there they were closed. Carefully check their hours as they vary day to day.

Alpha: Hello all, my name is Matthew. I got my ps5 from here about a week ago. Called up one day and they had just got a shipment in. Asked them to hold it and i was there in 15 min. Brittin is the guy i worked with. Excellent guy with great customer service. Every time I've been in here, he's always been really helpful.

This store wasn’t much different than most, but the guy at the register really went above and beyond what I normally expect from GameStop employees. His name on the receipt was Kristopher and he was so helpful, kind, and eager to make sure my experience was the best. 10/10 best employee I’ve had the pleasure of doing business with. rick voss: I've only been in this store twice and both times have been bad.This time I went in and the manager refused to price match my purchase. He said they don't do price matching. I know for a fact that gamestop does price match and he told me that gamestop only price matches on online orders.So I then left and went to bestbuy and bought the items for much cheaper. Get it together gamestop.

Fasta Benj: Really, the only reason I shopped here was because I had a good amount of trade in credit. I used it to pre-order a game.The game was released, and I went in to pick it up. They didn't have it, said it never came in. I was told they would call when it came in. Ok, stuff happens, right?A week passed, no call, was passing by so stopped in again. Still no game. I had to check back twice more before I could get the game I pre-ordered. By that time, it was over a month since the game was released, and other stores had it, but still I had to wait. I pre-ordered a game, paid in advance, and had to wait longer to get the game.What's worse, they never called to tell me it was in, despite it arriving late and me coming in multiple times to pick it up. Then, the last time when I finally was able to pick it up, the only copy they had was the opened box copy they used for a display box. If you knew someone had the game reserved, why would you open it?Well, they've certainly taught me that buying physical copies of games just leads to more inconvenience. They've made the best argument for digital purchases I've ever seen. And if I have anything else to trade in, I'm taking it to vstock. I'm not doing this again.
