Every team member was an expert in their field and no challenge arose during a three day set up they couldn't resolve, from sweetening audio to perfectly matching color between screens. Most of all, Joel Dodson and his team cared deeply about our event, our budget and our organization as a whole. In our line of work we have to be perfectionists, but TSV is as committed as we are to getting it right. As a creative director, I can't recommend them highly enough.

Martha Benduski: I am a student at WashU and TSV was the light and sound for our dance performance event. We have used their services for many years and their service has become worse over time. They arrived late, were unable to do sound checks with our live band, and were not respectful to our student group. One such incident was when we asked the person who was supposed to maintain the sound board to play our playlist when the performers of each group went on stage. Instead he completely left the sound board and gave it to the students to control halfway through the performance. While we may be students, that does not mean that a sound/light company should not give us a quality service that we had paid for.

Kaci Stewart: We were at Jammin' at the Zoo tonight and there were a few issues. Besides the fact that the drummer was dark, the light guy was killin' it! The sound engineer though, HORRIBLE. I'm pretty sure they run an L-Acoustics rig which is top of the line but not used to its potential at all. Here were the issues:- Kick drum and bass were LOUD and bumping. But if you wanted to hear any guitar, to bad so sad for you. Both of the guitarists are really good in FatPocket but you couldn't heat them at all. Close to the stage, far from the stage, the sound guy literally didn't have them up AT ALL. Even during solos, it was awful.- There were front fills that seemed to be doing absolutely nothing. You'd think they'd have at least the vocals in there but NOPE.- The horn section was audible but barely.- There were 2 overhead mics on the drums that seemed to be off. Couldn't hear any cymbals in the mix. They were doing nothing to help out at all. Also, the female singer had to climb the stairs, shimmy past the keyboards and go hold a mic for the drummer to sing. You'd think with that 50 thousand dollar system one more stand and mic wouldn't put them out.- The vocals were below everything else! It seemed that nothing else was in the mix anyways, so it makes no sense.I know this band is good and talented and normally sounds great. With the equipment there and this band, this was 100% operator error. I'm sure the white haired older gentleman has been "running sound for 30 years" (that's what every sound engineer over the age of 40 seems to say) but it was awful. We watched him steadily for about 15 minutes and didn't see him look up at the band one time to pick up on cues or what was happening on stage. He was either staring at his phone or the Midas, hard to tell. We left halfway through the set because the sound engineer was ruining a great band's sound and our night. Again, the system was top of the line. Wireless delays along the walking path, tons of headroom. Whoever was operating it seemed like they were having a bad night. A REALLY bad night.
