Antoine Cannon: Customer service was horrible. They didn't open at scheduled time. Then the employees that were there just looked at us through the glass door and no one came to tell us anything. Then we were told they were only letting people in who were picking up orders. We said we were Then the woman said "Well why didn't you say that?" Then when we got inside the woman and a man in the back were screaming at and cursing each other out while 3 customers were in the store. Then the lady told me the wrong size for the food I had ordered and already put money down on. She tried to give me a smaller size after she had already told me a larger size when I ordered it. Instead of honoring what she had told me she just gave me my money back. If I had wanted my money back I would have not ordered the food in the first place. I wanted my food! Terrible customer service!

Shae Allen: The first time me and my wife attempted ti try this place, we drove over and the experience was to kindly put it. Chaotic. The staff that was there wasn’t really helpful as if they expected any customer that walked through the door to just know what the process was. We asked a few people and it got yo the point we just left. I said to my wife: “this is a place you’re better off ordering your food instead of physically coming.”Our ordering experience wasn’t any different. I mean, I would love to try this place but we order twice from here (around 1pm) the order was canceled. It will say open, or give you the option to order online but seems to never be able deliver any kind of service. Needless to say: “the effort it takes to support some local business baffles me.”

Rita Williams: This restaurant is okay 👍 my beautician likes to go here to eat. After she finished my hair, she asked me to take her home 🏡 And she wanted to stop there to eat. The food is all soul food, example like: collard green, yams, meat 🍖 loaf, macaroni, etc..... I just think the prices are a little steep!!! This restaurant has been in this location for years and I had just received word that the original owner had just passed away. Other than that , they have good customer service 🙄

Carrie Dowd: We were in town on business from New York, Nebraska and Chicago. We wanted soul food and were told to go here. Not only was the food amazing but the staff was too!!! Macaroni & Cheese was everything!!! We loved it all, greens, sweet potatoes, black eyed peas, smothered pork chops and last but not least the peach cobbler. I am just sorry we didn't get to try the banana pudding!! Next time because we will eat there again when we come to town!!

Candice Chrisp: This was my first visit and chances are it won’t be my go to. I got the smothered pork chop, mac, mash, dressing. Also the chicken and fish combo. My BIGGEST disappointment was my smothered pork chop was cold! I would have rather a pork chop but I guess they already put gravy on them. The dressing was good however I wanted the gravy on the mash not the dressing. No gravy on the mash. I didn’t like the fact that you only get one side. I mean a smothered pork chop and one side. It’s laughable. The mac and mash might be store bought not from scratch in my opinion. Not a good first impression.

Iesha King: Gourmet Soul catered my birthday party over the weekend and the experience was more than amazing. I ordered the soul food buffet, and it was some of the best food I've ever had. We even had enough left over for Sunday. Everything was hot, fresh and delicious. The owner and her staff set up all the food at the venue. They were on time, polite and professional. My guests and myself were so pleased with each dish was delicious. I will definitely be returning to Gourmet Soul for my catering needs.

Michael G: While me and my wife visited St. Louis for a long weekend we were looking to try some good Bbq. The thought was on a Saturday afternoon/evening we should be able to find something. Unfortunately we didn't. A lot of places that were listed on Google were no longer in business. When we rode by Mom's we were pleasantly surprised that they were opened, unfortunately upon walking in we were disappointed because we didn't see any bbq. When asked if they any that might be ready anytime soon they said NO. So we figured since we were there we would try something, but as we were waiting the person in front of us was paying, and as they were exchanging money the money (cash) fell into the serving tray. Last I checked money was one of the dirtiest things that you could touch. Needless to say that was enough for us to leave. If anyone happens to stop in hopefully they have a better experience.

SKing Washington: Food was great but the mash potatoes seem off like they was old and stale . They had a vinegar sour taste to it so I threw it away . But every thing esle was good . I guess I was invisible. I tried getting her attention several times to order a drink and I was completely ignored. The same with the person serving. It’s a shame when another customer had to ask did I want something to drink. I guess if you aren’t a regular you don’t get any service. I never did get a chance to order anything.
