Wind Napol: If you’ve craving homemade cozy Italian feel, this is your answer. The food is fantastic. And when they said spicy, they mean it. Each entree is so flavorful cook to perfection. Our server Sam was also terrific. He was really helpful and charming. If I can give more than 5-star, I would. They deserve all the praises. Parking can be challenging at time, just have to drive around and make sure not to block someone’s driveway.
Raisa Fountain: If you like tomato sauce that is as sweet as ketchup, breaded chicken that is charred, "white wine butter sauce" that tastes like unsalted pasta water, and an environment with people so loud you can't have table conversation, this is the restaurant for you. Even the salad was disappointing, I make better balsamic at home. The server was patient and pleasant at least. I will never be returning.

Paul Badgett: Always go here for my birthday dinner, food is consistently my favorite on The Hill. But after some complications with the bill, our server and apparently his manager actively avoided us for a good 15-20 minutes while attempting to pay and leave. Another server intervened and made things right but this is something I don’t expect from Mama’s. I won’t be back for my next birthday dinner. 100% honest I’m not the entitled type, just don’t like being overlooked and avoided.
Richard A. Heard: This was my first visit to Mama's. My friend and I were visiting St. Louis and wanted some authentic Italian food. Mama's was recommended and they didn't disappoint. Maggiano's Little Italy: what do users think?
Marketing Degree: I'm picky & everything was excellent & classy.I forgot to add the first time I wrote this that Anthony was our waiter. We came back again during the work week while in St Louis...(and asked for him).Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5 …More
Michael Rupe: Great place to get a late night dinner. Comfy atmosphere, great food, helpful waiters.Dietary restrictions: Upon request
Michelle Turner: I've been here many of times over the years and never received the poor service that I received this past Sunday.First, I can understand, mistakes can be made bringing the food to the wrong table.Second, the table was a hot mess because the server didn't attend to the table. She didn’t clean the table after each course, food was served on top of each course, and no one bagged the pervious course, or cleared dirty plates or platers and gave clean plates. When asked to have some of the platers to be taken, they volunteered to give me the to-go containers to do it myself. The server finally came over to help bag the previous course up. It was my retirement lunch with my family that was supposed to be special and I did not enjoy it. I spent more time calling people over to clear the table and asking for more food. (We were brought one plate of meatballs for 10 people……should I have to ask for more?). I actually didn't eat anything but bread and a small salad. This would not be a smart choice for another gathering of family style dining if this is what it has to come to.
Geralda Miller: This was my first time there. The food was delicious. But most importantly, our server Kristin was fantastic. She promised I'd get my cherry popped being a Maggiano's virgin, but they don't have sorbet on the menu. That must be remedied!Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5Recommended dishes Mushroom Ravioli …More

Jessica Pierce: If you do curbside pickup, it's best to just go inside. They are not great about coming out to you. Also, you can see they replied below, but their website doesn't allow you to leave a comment without a receipt number. Half a month later, I no longer have the receipt, so don't have the ability to provide feedback per their suggestion.

Andre Davis: From the moment I walk in, the place was literally packed and the people was packed like sardines in this place. We had a reservation for 530 and was sat down at 530 promptly and that where the issues started for us . From the moment we were seated, it took literally almost 30 minutes before our server even brought water to the table, another 15 minutes before he brought bread and ask for our drinks which took him another 10 minute to fulfill which by now , I was starting to feel some type of way, so we ask for the manager and it was only then that our table was given the attention and our order was taken approximately at about 630. I'll be perfectly honest, I thought that maybe it was because we was black was the reason why our server wasn't as attentive to us as he should have been but I reasoned within myself that maybe he was just having a bad day and was overwhelmed or it was a little of both, either way the service could have been better than what it was....the food was great tho and once our party was done, I did have a conversation with the server whom Name was Steve, I believe ....and I said to him as I tipped him, I totally get being overwhelmed and having a bad day and that he shouldn't be afraid to ask for help. I definitely will revisit in the neat future tho

Gian-Tony's Ristorante: what do users think?
Carl Hofer: Some of the best food I have ever had. Be bragging about your place. In a scale if 1 to 10 you rate a 18. Thank you 😊Kid-friendliness: Excellent
Amy Moses: Picked up Caprese salad to go, Tony was very sweet and salad was excellent. Appreciate that he came out to see if I wanted the dressing on side. Definitely going back!!
Rachel Sullivan: This place is a bit erie inside due to the dim lighting. The food is EXPENSIVE we came for dinner and for 6 ravioli yep that’s right SIX lobster ravioli for $29!!!!! Was it delicious? Yes! But not worth $29 for 6 lobster ravioli. The calamari has tentacles and it’s SO chewy bleh
Heather Hundhausen: This is my very favorite St Louis restaurant for 20 years. I had my rehearsal dinner here for my wedding in 2004, and the tortellini is still as amazing as it was back then!! I also really enjoy the toasted ravioli and the spumoni ice cream 🍨Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5 …More
Jeremy Brandt: Best restaurant on the hill!
Jorg Lueke: Gian-Tony's serves up classic Italian comfort food. I had scallops in cream sauce while my wife had a vodka penne with scallops. We also had seafood mushrooms and crostini as appetizers and tiramisu for dessert. Everything was cooked well, the seafood was properly seared and not overcooked. The sauces were flavorfully and rich if not refunded. In short everything tasted good but the prices charged are too much for good. They are fine dining prices for home cooking. The service was prompt, attentive , respectful and friendly. However there were some billing issues which the staff kept arguing over and addressing in front of customers which wasn't exactly professional. And some of the staff seemed tired at the end of the day, understandable but a negative as far as atmosphere goes. With no drinks our bill was $150 for two persons and that's too much for the quality and level of service we received.
Mary Mobley: Food: 4/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5More
Nathan Ryder: We were told The Hill was the place to get a great meal before a show at The Fabulous Fox Theater. Word of caution, there isn't much open for dinner on Sunday in this area. The restaurants that were either specifically named to us or we thought looked good online were all closed except Gian-Tony's. We made an early reservation and the place was nearly empty but within a few minutes it was filled to capacity. The wait staff was friendly and attentive. The food was mediocre. We tried the seafood stuffed mushrooms as an appetizer. The bread provided was nothing special. House ceaser salads before the main course has low quality lettuce, burned croutons, and was heavy on the anchovy in the dressing. For main dishes we chose the filet mignon and the seafood ravioli with scallops. The filet is served swimming in a dish of "filet sauce" which tasted like a creamy chicken broth. It wasn't enjoyable and at $42, the quality of the meat didn't match the price point. For $20 we got 5 large ravioli sprinkled with what looked like marshmallows but in reality were the tiniest scallops I had ever seen. We finished the meal sharing a tiramisu because I have to try every Italian restaurants tiramisu. It was light on the espresso flavors and heavy on sweet cream. Throw in 2 glasses of well-wine and it was $112 for a couple before a 20% tip. I was excited to try Gian-Tony's on our visit to St. Louis but will definitely look for something different on our next visit.
Ash A: Recommended dishes TiramisuMore
ashley sprinkel: Was not worth the price. The toasted ravioli, soup and salad were delicious. The Alfredo tasted bland like it was out of a jar. The carbonara was better than the Alfredo but still seemed from a jar. The chocolate crème brûlée was good. The vanilla creamer brûlée was not cooked correctly so it wasn’t smooth.Recommended dishes Garden Salad, Pasta Carbonara, Fried Ravioli …More
Jacob Lamont: Food bland. Wait staff pretty slow & not personable. I honestly don't leave reviews and felt the need for this one. I'm still at the table writing this. They're so cheap here they covered the table cloths with white paper so they don't have to clean anything.Italian restaurants should make you feel at home., feed you like your family. The only feeling I got while sitting there was the rush to get out and seat another customer (check).
Sara Kambouris: Best Boulognese sauce I've eaten in 30 years outside my own home.Caesar dressing was fresh, correct, and delicious.Ravioli was tasty indeed!Very professional waite staff as well;Outside dining was pleasant. It's hard to find excellent Italian and this is.Vegetarian options: There are enough vegetarian options for a choice.Parking: Street parking at 530pm was fine
David Destiche: Ate at the bar. Bartender & food were both incredible!
Nikki Doran: My husband and I moved to STL almost 10 years ago. We were recommended the restaurant and loved it so much that we never ventured out on The Hill. It easily became our favorite restaurant and the only place we frequent for special occasions. Highly recommend - don’t miss the tiramisu!
Anthony Giarrusso: Excellent food and great service. By far the best Italian on the hill. Highly recommend ..
L G: I came here from the arch for dinner because of the reviews. Ordered the shrimp scampi, came with a salad. Everything had no flavor. A little salt wouldn't hurt. The salad was blind and wilted, almost as though the dressing was on it for hours. The shrimp scampi was just as bland. Breading falling off, no salt, little garlic oil.Food: 1/5|Service: 4/5|Atmosphere: 1/5 …More

Kayla Meyer: I came here with my family after my college graduation & left upset & crying. My dad has health complications & is disabled, so the lack of wheelchair accessibility & seats while waiting is unacceptable. When I booked this reservation, the website said “Italian fine-dining restaurant.” Come to find out, this is NOT Italian. Olive Garden would’ve been a better choice. When we sat down, the man who gave us drinks told us the owner “Gino” would explain the menu for us. When “Gino” came over to our table, he immediately asked for our order. I asked him if he could explain the menu to us, because we had never been here before & mind you the menu is only ONE PAGE. It was unfamiliar to my family & myself & I just wanted to make sure my father (who has dietary restrictions) & I ordered something we would like. He responded with, “Alllll of it?” in a rude & snarky voice. I was taken back. I told him I’ve never heard of these dishes & he proceeded to say “This isn’t Italian, this is Sicilian. You Americans have made Italian food into lasagna & spaghetti & meatballs. I’ve never had either of those in my life. You are in a five star restaurant, & the only one in the Midwest. Though, if you want that kind of food you can go next door. They aren’t as good as us but it looks like you won’t be happy here.”We politely just let it go & ordered what we thought would suit us best. The food, (MEDIOCRE AT BEST) was not worth the $45 we paid for each dish. Before & during our meal, they would snatch our plates away from us while we were still eating. Gino also slapped the bill onto the table & walked away. As we walked out, he was sitting at the bar on his phone & didn’t say a word to us.I was taken back by this entire restaurant & have been to many restaurants on the hill, but I will NEVER recommend this one. My graduation night turned into me feeling bad that I put my family in this situation & it was very hard to bounce back.Kid-friendliness: RUDE TO EVERYONE.Parking: NONE.Wheelchair accessibility: NONE.Dietary restrictions: NONE. We asked about the menu due to my father having health restrictions we were asked “why” they had to explain the menu to us since we could just read it.
Angie Bacon: This was our first and last time eating at Dominic‘s. While the food was very good, the menu had about half of the stuff on their website. The prices were higher. The waiter that took our food order was not very pleasant. Felt like he was giving us attitude that he was better than us for whatever reason.
Ashleigh LaZear: Wow wow wow!!! Dominic's surpassed all expectations!!! We came here for my 31st birthday with our 10 month old son. Every one from the server to the owner came to our table and our experience was world class. The chef even brought freshly made pasta to our baby, put cheese on it, cut it up for him, and watch with genuine joy as our baby enjoyed the special dish they brought him. That was the best birthday gift of the night. Their dedication to making us feel like rockstars made the night one we will never forget. Thank you Dominic's!!!
Ushma Ahmed: The restaurant is beautiful and welcoming. My husband and I both had the Cannelloni alla Romana and it was absolutely delicious. My only complaint - the older gentlemen (I presume the front of house manager) is extremely rude to the staff. He was clearing off a table and collecting plates when a server walked by. He barked at her to take the plates and shoved it onto her arms. She almost dropped all of the plates. This is unacceptable behavior. It is never acceptable to treat your staff disrespectfully, and definitely not in front of guests.
Diane Kuchta: Excellent service, wonderful experience. Food was amazing. Would definitely recommend if you are looking for a nice Italian restaurant. Great atmosphere. Can't wait to come back. Italian at its finest.Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5 …More

Jonathan Kaufman: Molto bene! Best place on The Hill.
Kassandra Wolf: Went here for a date night with my husband. It was a very nice, upscale, old-school Italian restaurant. It was not as busy as some other places on the Hill, but I would say a bit more classy. The escargot was lovely, our salads fresh, my bolognese was perfect and my husband's osso buco was delicious. I had the tiramisu for dessert, which was very good, but so is every tiramisu I've had. This restaurant is great for a more intimate meal. The quality of the food and attention to detail from the servers was top-notch. I'll keep it in mind for a family celebration in the future.

Andy Feliciotti: Had a great dinner here! Friendly staff, delicious food, and good cocktail menu, what’s to be disappointed by. Try the industry sour cocktail! Highly recommend getting the polenta with mushrooms.
Teresa Wise: What a wonderful dining experience. A laid back and elegantly subdued atmosphere. They had a superb wine and drink list along with an incredibly palate pleasing menu. We started with the Castelvetrano Olives and the Prosciutto di Parma, Parmigiano Reggiano. Our mains were the Grilled Beef Tenderloin ( medium rare) with Roasted Potatoes , Salsa Verde and Halibut served with Mussels in a broth with black beans and tomatoes- akin to a cioppono. For dessert homemade ice cream sandwich with cappuccino. I also enjoyed some Suntory whiskey and a proseco. All outstanding as well as our service. We will be back. It was all divine!

Steven Bott: Raindrops on roses and whiskers on kittens. Bright copper kettles and warm woolen mittens. Those things may be Maria's favorite things, but me they are; Manhattans, Brussels Sprouts, a pork chop and a Old Fashioned and I can get them all at Louie. When I find all of my favorite things, on a menu it makes it easy for me to order. I got my night started with an Old Fashioned and Brussels Sprouts. They were both masterfully prepared, so I knew what was coming next would be equally as good. I was right, their Pork Chop with shishito peppers was superb. I love charred shishito peppers, they are so irresistible. My chop was grilled to perfection and was so juicy and tender. The Manhattan was smooth and accompanied the chop as well as a glass wine.Being a lone diner, I don't mind sitting at the bar. The night of my visit I was seated at the far-end, so I got to watch them use the pizza oven. It was like a floor show, while I dined. I may have been seated at the bar, but the service was still attentive and friendly.Louie is one of the culinary jewels of St. Louis.

Luckily, Pietro's was able to accommodate usThey provided us with a very nice, quiet private room, the food was fantastic, and the service was great.Large portions of delicious food and the group dinner also provided everybody with salad and pasta as sides, which I thought was a nice touch. They were hopping but a table was open at the bar, which was exactly what we were looking for. You can actually get your whole meal served in the bar if you like! Such a cool dining experience. Highly recommended! The drinks are old school healthy pours and very reasonably priced! The appetizers were fantastic! Best zucchini ever! Fantastic mozzarella triangles. My friend swears that nothing else should be call garlic cheese bread after having it here. Prices are reasonable and the service is quick and friendly! It’s been around a long time for a good reason: quality, price and service! You will not be disappointed!!!

LoRusso's Cucina: what do users think?
Justin Cook: Some of the best Italian food in StL. Everything tastes soo good and fresh!
Laurie Bergman: We enjoyed an outstanding meal at LoRusso’s. Tenderloin mudega, tortellini, pasta alla vodka, pasta tutto mare, flash fried spinach, toasted ravioli and cannoli all prepared flawlessly. Bill provided friendly and efficient service. Our well-traveled guest said her meal rivaled dinners she has enjoyed in Italy. Of all the fine Italian restaurants in St. Louis, LoRusso’s has proven to be the one we choose most often when hosting out-of-town visitors.Parking: There’s a spacious parking lot adjoining the restaurant.
Tom Krapu: Great service and really good food. The salmon piccata was pretty gluten-free and really tasty. Returned again! Seafood dish and veal were great. Wine was good (Chianti).

Rachel S: Highly recommend the happy hour here! I sat at the bar and had the meatballs and the toasted ravioli and both were very good. Oluwa Robinson: Everything would have been perfect if we weren't there to eat. Waiters attentive and friendly. Cozy atmosphere. Friendly staff. Food served timely and priced well. But there was absolutely no flavor. It was prepared with little to no seasoning. I don't require an extreme amount of sodium. Usually less is more. But in this case it was none and done.
Suzanne Chisum: Lovely fine dining experience. The food was flavorful and plentiful. I really enjoyed the herbed crackers that they served prior to the meal.
