Robert Brumit: I remember my daughter attending class at this academy. It was so nice seeing her train there in a family friendly place. It had to be about 10 plus years ago. I still remember her very 1st day. She was in the middle of a room with several adult males around her who were screaming high ya's. She started to cry. Master Winkler stopped everything and walked to her. Asked for her hand and had a young boy she new to go to another room to help calm her down. Master Winkler is a true gentleman and an awesome teacher. From that day forward my daughter wasn't scared and enjoyed his teachings. I would recommend this place and teacher to any family. Sam G: When first joining we thought this was the place. The atmosphere seems family friendly and fun, something arises and you then you get to see their real character.Upon joining WMA William never mentioned he has a contract. He SOLD it to us that he uses a third party process payment center. He NEVER mentioned that HE has a zero cancellation policy. (Out of pure greed) . My son, whom has severe ADHD, we thought he would thrive with Tae Kwon Do. He did not. It caused more anxiety than it is was worth. Amongst that, we also ran into life and trying to relocate but we are unsure where as well as work. I have explained this to William (owner of gym) numerous times I placed a call.to the payment processing center and they explained there is an $100.00 cancellation fee, which I offered to pay. He is using sneaky sales tactics without explaining anything to trap his clients into an unknown contract. He has had ample opportunity to do the right thing and he refuses.
Aaron Tuttle: My son and I attend the World Martial Arts Academy. I enjoy the sport, training and quality time I am able to share with my son. It is beneficial to have Master Winkler, Mrs. Master Winkler, Master Parker, and Carolyn as well as the other many students focusing on the importance of respect and self-discipline. My son not only hears the importance of these values from other adults he respects, but he enjoys attending. At four years old, he felt comfortable enough to stay overnight for one of the regular lock-ins. I was nervous; he was not. He stayed the whole night.

Gary Heebner: I have been taking lessons at WMAA on Watson Road for several years. The instructors are friendly and do a great job of teaching ADULTS and are also great with the kids. It is really great to see how much the kids learn in such a short time (focus, confidence, discipline). The staff also have a great deal of expertise in sparring, traditional forms, and weapons techniques. A great place for kids and adults!
Rama Suresh: Master Winkler, Master Suzanne and Master Parker are awesome! My son has enjoyed being part of this Dojang for the last 3 years. They emphasize the 5 tenets of Taekwondo: Courtesy, Integrity, Self control, Perseverance and Indomitable Spirit. The students enjoy coming to this Dojang and the atmosphere is friendly and warm. The Masters put in an effort to make sure each student develop at their individual pace. Safety is emphasized. Master Winkler rewards good behavior (at home and school) , and good grades as much as he does Taekwondo. My son has not only learned Taekwondo but has also become a better child by attending the Dojang.

She loves it and has learned valuable skills she can carry with her for the rest of her life. The staff at the dojang are skilled and knowledgeable in their craft. A very friendly and family like atmosphere. They go the extra mile to turn out quality black belt students. I would not hesitate to recommend this dojang to anyone considering martial arts. The dojang reinforces the same values that we teach at home while instructing it's students in the martial art of Tae Kwon Do.The instructors are the kinds of people that you want your child to be around, like aunts, uncles, cousins. They are serious and encouraging at the same time. Focused on teaching and wanting to make sure they develop a well-rounded student. It is through the instruction of the martial art that they being out the best in the student.

Gina Omerovic: Highly recommend. If you are looking for more than just a martial arts studio I recommend them even more. The instructors work amazingly well with kids, they help students practice those soft skills that kids and teens are developing (teamwork, persistence, self-esteem, focus, self-control ect.) and they truly care about their students. Kate Miller: We have been in the Kum Sung family with Master Kim for awhile now and are looking forward to sticking with Taekwondo in the future! Since he started in first grade, my son has gained peace of mind, strength and focus as he continues to progress toward his second degree black black belt. He started in first grade and will be going to be in 10th grade in the fall. My daughter is now interested in gymnastics. Taekwondo gave her a good foundation to be physically and mental strong. She started in pre-school and will be going into middle school. We are so thankful to Master Kim for teaching our kids self-defense and how to be self-disciplined. I am confident that the many skills my kids will continue to gain will support them to become responsible and compassionate adults!

Karl Smith: Master Ray and the staff of St Louis's F.I.T. Martial Arts Center is second to none. My 13-year-old joined the Dojo over a year ago and she's grown spiritually, physically, and mentally. She was a bully, but she's toned down to respecting others and more importantly, respecting herself. We could not be more pleased and would highly recommend F.I.T. Martial Arts to anyone looking for valued training that also enhances your well-being.

Jeff Lanoye: I have been attending with my two sons for almost 30 weeks now. In that time we all have gained confidence, self control, discipline, and a sense of security from the self-defense aspects of what we are learning. The staff takes time out of their day to spend a few mins after class answering questions and helping with the class material. They have also taken time to answer just general questions about the process and timelines for progression.Aside from the above, we have also created an opportunity for family bonding, which now a days is a valuable part of growing up as a kid.The program cost per person for a once a week class is manageable in my opinion, but they are also understanding that life happens. The key, I think, is to be honest with the staff, communicate, and ensure a mutual understanding. They will work with you where they can.I highly recommend F.I.T Martial Arts to anyone, young or old, to learn a valuable art that will stick with you for the rest of your life. If nothing else, it is a great way to get off the couch and get active in something positive, PARENTS and kids alike.

I would have to say he is the best instructor who taught me to have discipline and control. But he always trained us to be always believe in ourselves. That what was how I earned my 1st degree black belt until I had multiple right knee surgeries and 1 left because of patella dislocation. My joints sit high.
