World Martial Arts Academy: what do users think?
Robert Brumit: I remember my daughter attending class at this academy. It was so nice seeing her train there in a family friendly place. It had to be about 10 plus years ago. I still remember her very 1st day. She was in the middle of a room with several adult males around her who were screaming high ya's. She started to cry. Master Winkler stopped everything and walked to her. Asked for her hand and had a young boy she new to go to another room to help calm her down. Master Winkler is a true gentleman and an awesome teacher. From that day forward my daughter wasn't scared and enjoyed his teachings. I would recommend this place and teacher to any family. God bless!Mr. Brumit
Dorothy OToole: Great place to learn Tai Kwan Do. I took my granddaughter to her lesson. I also went thete today to see her win her black belt.
Ginalyn Ruder: This is a great place for all of us, my husband and 2 children. Master Winkler is an amazing man and teacher. Master Parker and Mrs. Master Winkler are awesome too. This is one great way for our entire family to bond and spend valuable time together.
Justin Ruder: Excellent instructors and family friendly
World Martial Arts Academy Hazelwood: The people are what make it GREAT!!
Sam G: When first joining we thought this was the place. The atmosphere seems family friendly and fun, something arises and you then you get to see their real character.Upon joining WMA William never mentioned he has a contract. He SOLD it to us that he uses a third party process payment center. He NEVER mentioned that HE has a zero cancellation policy. (Out of pure greed) . My son, whom has severe ADHD, we thought he would thrive with Tae Kwon Do. He did not. It caused more anxiety than it is was worth. Amongst that, we also ran into life and trying to relocate but we are unsure where as well as work. I have explained this to William (owner of gym) numerous times I placed a call.to the payment processing center and they explained there is an $100.00 cancellation fee, which I offered to pay. He is using sneaky sales tactics without explaining anything to trap his clients into an unknown contract. He has had ample opportunity to do the right thing and he refuses.
Aaron Tuttle: My son and I attend the World Martial Arts Academy. I enjoy the sport, training and quality time I am able to share with my son. It is beneficial to have Master Winkler, Mrs. Master Winkler, Master Parker, and Carolyn as well as the other many students focusing on the importance of respect and self-discipline. My son not only hears the importance of these values from other adults he respects, but he enjoys attending. At four years old, he felt comfortable enough to stay overnight for one of the regular lock-ins. I was nervous; he was not. He stayed the whole night.
Jerry Adlersfluegel, Jr.: Very family friendly atmosphere. I was nervous about joining up with my middle-schooler a couple of months ago, but there are plenty of other parents attending, which put me at ease. I'm glad we found out about WMAA.
k skiver: My son recently started Tae Kwon Do and he is really enjoying it. Master Winkler and his staff are patient and the classes are fun and energizing.
eli butcher: I now have several kids going now, and they all love it! They learn respect, technique, self defense, and always have something to work towards. Master Winkler and the other staff are always welcoming and knowledgeable, and have made our family feel welcome. I'd recommend ANYONE to attend, as it's absolutely worth it.
Padraic: Great place for adults and kids to learn and have fun.
tina marti: We Love World Martial Arts academy of Crestwood. Master Winkler is by far one of the absolute BEST teachers out there, without a doubt! When you LOVE what you do, you do it well. It clearly is his passion to teach and he teaches his students well. He and his family will not only teach you the right way, they will treat you truly like a part of their family! I would highly, highly recommend them and would give them more than 5 stars if I could.
Heather Schwantner: We love World Martial Arts!! Master Winkler is amazing and so engaged. The entire team truly love what they do and it shows! We are so lucky to have found world martial arts and the Winkler family!!
Pamela Wiegand: I am so thank for World Martial Arts Academy -Crestwood and the Winkler family. I enrolled my granddaughter thinking she would have something to do over the summer. The people here are great and welcomed her. She does really well and loves to go to class. Seeing her enjoyment, I too joined 3 months later. It is a great workout. I look forward to attending as often as possible. If you are looking to add to your workout routine, I highly suggest coming in and speaking to Master Winkler!
Mom's World: Master Winkler and the rest of the team are awesome! They are friendly, welcoming, and really do a great job with the kids!
Gary Heebner: I have been taking lessons at WMAA on Watson Road for several years. The instructors are friendly and do a great job of teaching ADULTS and are also great with the kids. It is really great to see how much the kids learn in such a short time (focus, confidence, discipline). The staff also have a great deal of expertise in sparring, traditional forms, and weapons techniques. A great place for kids and adults!
Rama Suresh: Master Winkler, Master Suzanne and Master Parker are awesome! My son has enjoyed being part of this Dojang for the last 3 years. They emphasize the 5 tenets of Taekwondo: Courtesy, Integrity, Self control, Perseverance and Indomitable Spirit. The students enjoy coming to this Dojang and the atmosphere is friendly and warm. The Masters put in an effort to make sure each student develop at their individual pace. Safety is emphasized. Master Winkler rewards good behavior (at home and school) , and good grades as much as he does Taekwondo. My son has not only learned Taekwondo but has also become a better child by attending the Dojang.
Kathleen Everetts: My daughter is 11 yrs old now and she been taking tkd since she was 6. She is now working towards her 2nd dan. She loves it and has learned valuable skills she can carry with her for the rest of her life. The staff at the dojang are skilled and knowledgeable in their craft. A very friendly and family like atmosphere. They go the extra mile to turn out quality black belt students. I would not hesitate to recommend this dojang to anyone considering martial arts. Thank you master Winkler, master Suzanne, master Parker and miss Caroline.
B M: My child currently attends World Martial Arts Academy on Watson Road. The dojang reinforces the same values that we teach at home while instructing it's students in the martial art of Tae Kwon Do.The instructors are the kinds of people that you want your child to be around, like aunts, uncles, cousins. They are serious and encouraging at the same time. Focused on teaching and wanting to make sure they develop a well-rounded student. It is through the instruction of the martial art that they being out the best in the student.
Andy Stann: Master Winkler, Master Mrs. Winkler, Master Parker and Carolyn...most importantly they are great people. But they also know Taewkondo! Our son has had an incredible experience and loves going! They make it fun. Great way for the kids to develop esteem, motor skills and discipline.
John Moresi: Got my blackbelt from here in 2012, still coming back as the teaching is top notch and the staff are great!

Terrence Keenan: Positive:Professionalism,Quality,ValueVery satisfied in every aspect, particularly discipline.
Jennifer Bender: My son has learned more than martial arts here. Very good environment and instruction.
CoffeeSnep 1453: Great location for both the Karate Class and Italian Bolognese HEMA classes. Plenty of interior space and facilities, and phenomenal instructors.
vrrmillion: I go here. Great instructors and a really nice place. High expectations, but its worth it. Again, a great place to go if you are looking forward to martial arts.
Luke Giang: Suck

Master Kim's Kum Sung Martial Arts: what do users think?
Gina Omerovic: Highly recommend. If you are looking for more than just a martial arts studio I recommend them even more. The instructors work amazingly well with kids, they help students practice those soft skills that kids and teens are developing (teamwork, persistence, self-esteem, focus, self-control ect.) and they truly care about their students. AMAZING AFTER SCHOOL PROGRAM AND SUMMER CAMP
Kate Miller: We have been in the Kum Sung family with Master Kim for awhile now and are looking forward to sticking with Taekwondo in the future! Since he started in first grade, my son has gained peace of mind, strength and focus as he continues to progress toward his second degree black black belt. He started in first grade and will be going to be in 10th grade in the fall. My daughter is now interested in gymnastics. Taekwondo gave her a good foundation to be physically and mental strong. She started in pre-school and will be going into middle school. We are so thankful to Master Kim for teaching our kids self-defense and how to be self-disciplined. I am confident that the many skills my kids will continue to gain will support them to become responsible and compassionate adults!
Julia Bagy: Great experience!! Wonderful staff!
Kara Roberts: Amazing! Master Kim and all of his instructors are fantastic!
Claire Potter: Master Kim And Jason have been so amazing with my 3 year old. They truly make time for the individuals in a group setting! So happy we found Master Kim’s martial arts!!!
Ari Nicole: My kids absolutely love it!!
Christy Cronin: We are currently almost finished with our trial period and I couldn’t be happier with Master Kim’s. My son absolutely loves coming to the classes. He gets to let out energy, grow his confidence, and learn discipline. Above all else, he has so much fun! We will be continuing our journey with Master Kim’s. We’re also excited for the summer program!
Melissa Lu: We were referred by a friend when my 12 year old daughter and 10 year old son asked me to find a Taekwondo class for them. Master Kim and his team are very professional, and they keep the classes very interesting, fun and structured. They teach kids discipline, respect and self confidence. On the first class, my daughter already broke 2 pieces of wood, and it helped her self-confidence tremendously. (She was getting bullied at school, so she wanted to learn some skills to protect herself) This is only our first month, and my kids LOVES it so much. Thank you Master Kim.
A K: Organized and friendly
Robert Millar: Master Kim and his team have a unique gift for teaching and inspiring young people. My son has grown in confidence and increased physical strength in the past eight months.
Tauna Lynne Price: My son attended four days of winter break camp 2021 at Master Kim's Kum Sung Martial Arts. Every single day he would come home and show me what he learned. Even with the little sores on the tops of his 10 year old feet, he was still excited to go back the next day. His confidence level sky rocketed and he couldn't wait to show his friends! I can't say enough about how wonderful Kim's Martial Arts studio is for little ones. I have my son signed up for six weeks of summer camp and he is THRILLED to be going back!
Michael Lehmann: Master Kim and his team are doing great things.
Natasha Bass: Our experience has been excellent. Master Kim and the other instructors are trusted and highly respected by my daughter. Her self-confidence and self-discipline have greatly improved.
Jennifer Lehmann: My son attends the after school program and he loves it! Master Kim and his staff are great with the kids. They have high expectations for them and push them to be their best. We are happy to have found this gem in Kirkwood!
Kathi Haller: Positive:Professionalism,QualityMaster Kim and his team are so wonderful with children - he knows what each one of them needs and provides a solid foundation for growth in self-control, focus and confidence. He has supported our son in his road of development over the past 5+ years and he has made great progress! Thanks you Master Kim!
Maria Lambing: My 4 year old son has been taking classes here for about 6 months. He loves going to class and he has been developing such wonderful skills. Master Kim is an exceptional teacher. He has clear high expectations but also a wonderful sense of humor that engages the children in class. He also entertains the parents watching! The way he connects with the children is amazing to watch, he respects the children and pushes them to grow. It’s been an amazing experience for my family.
Jessica Ainsworth: My son had a rough initial experience with a very different martial arts place. Coming to Master Kim instead has made such an amazing difference for him! I will never go back! On day 1, Master Kim showed my son just how much fun martial arts could be and how important it is to work hard. If he struggled, Master Kim immediately assisted to help h get it right. He has the perfect amount of humor and fun and seriousness that is needed when working with young children to help build confidence and skill. When my son walked in on day 2, he was greeted by name and recognized for his improvement. A massive difference from the other place we started at. If you are considering starting martial arts for your child, I HIGHLY recommend coming in to check out Master Kim's dojo. Everyone on the staff is phenomenal and I can't wait to see what my oldest learns or for his brother to get started as well. A huge thank you to the entire staff!
Darcy Patterson: Positive:Communication,Professionalism,QualityMy son really enjoys these classes and always wants to go. He is 5 and has trouble focusing at times but Master Kim stays on top of all the kids to make sure they are all paying attention. We started in May of 2020 and plan to continue indefinitely.
Rachel Sinnott: Master Kim's class is so much fun for my son. He wanted to be a ninja, but Master Kim has done an amazing job of also instilling important life values.
E Kim: Our son has grown so much since beginning Taekwondo with Master Kim. Master Kim knew exactly how to work with him to build his confidence and skills even though our son was initially very nervous about starting the class. He truly pours his heart and soul into teaching the children and we couldn’t be more grateful to have our son learning so many valuable things from him!
Amanda Kimbell: Positive:Communication,ProfessionalismBest Martial arts studio in Kirkwood! Master Kim goes above and beyond for the kids from teaching his classes and having holiday parties throughout the year. Also offers an after-school program I couldn't be more pleased.

World Martial Arts Academy-SoCo: what do users think?
Mrs. H: Great place with great teachers! My son is in the high belt class now with varrying age groups and they all work together and help each other. I love the values they teach the kids. My son has learned confidence, personal responsibility, and respect of yourself and others. Highly recommended!
Darren: If you're interested in learning Taekwondo, then look no further---THIS is the premier school in the area! It's simply an outstanding school of martial arts in every way. So much so that I've gone TWICE---once as a kid, and again as an adult with my own kids! Master Fitch has been with the school since I was a kid and is truly a master of the art and its principles. In addition to learning the martial art of Taekwondo, students will learn courtesy, integrity, perseverance, self-control, and indomitable spirit (the five tenets of TKD). You will become a better person in every way. Masters Fitch, Marla, and all the other instructors provide the absolute best environment and structure for becoming a martial artist in body, mind, and spirit. You will feel better physically and mentally. You'll feel proud of your growth as you move through the belt system, because you'll have worked hard to earn it. It's such a great feeling. And if you have kids, I cannot recommend enough taking classes with them. It's a fun, physical, and engaging thing to do with your children. You'll have something in common to practice and discuss at home, and something to do together every week. And it's accessible to all ages, bodies, genders, etc. Anyone can do it. And there's frequent trial specials and discounts going on, and NO contracts, so you really have nothing to lose if you give it a go. So go for it! Hope to see you there!
SugarXxX PlumXxX: Great school!
thy le: Positive:Communication,Professionalism,Quality,ValueMaster Fitch is so nice and professional, everyone here is friendly and courteous. Highly recommended to learn Taekwondo here
Anela Draganovic: Great place for the kids! Love the staff.
Andrea Coleman: Our family absolutely loves this academy! The entire staff and leadership team stand firm on respect and professionalism! I most certainly would recommend!
Brett Doyle: The training is good exercise for the kids. They have a lot of fun and it teaches them discipline.
4EN: Great place for the kids👍👍and adults👍👍👍
Patricia J.: I can't believe there aren't more reviews for this place. My almost five-year-old daughter just loves it. The trainers are so good with kids. I think what I like best is that it's one price and she can go as often as she wants. They also offer fun activities outside of class and keep it exciting and FUN. Keep up the great work, thanks!
Tony Ellard: My whole family attends classes and we love it. There's no set schedule so you can attend the nights are able. The teachers are family and kid friendly and it's a great place to learn and workout!
Krista Barmann: Absolutely great place for kids and adults. A wonderful place for your kids to not only learn discipline respect and protection, but they have lots of fun as well.

St Louis's F.I.T. Martial Arts Center: what do users think?
Emir tuzlic: Positive:Communication,Professionalism
Renee Carter: **CAUTION**You will NOT be refunded your money!!!I was told my child could go to classes as often as we liked, however, this was not the case. I was not happy about the service, so since we NEVER attended any classes, I wanted to cancel and get a refund. I was told there are NO REFUNDS.Not happy...I'll try the school down the street.
Karl Smith: Master Ray and the staff of St Louis's F.I.T. Martial Arts Center is second to none. My 13-year-old joined the Dojo over a year ago and she's grown spiritually, physically, and mentally. She was a bully, but she's toned down to respecting others and more importantly, respecting herself. We could not be more pleased and would highly recommend F.I.T. Martial Arts to anyone looking for valued training that also enhances your well-being.
Eddie Jackson: After 3 months I watched my children get ignored and put to the back of the class! After the first month of one on one attention, to me they just became dollar signs!!
Linda Combs: Please do not take your kids to this place. The staff is incompetent and do not watch the kids. The owner is rude and arrogant. I heard him and one of the staff members arguing, getting loud was intimidating a child right in front of their parent. Horrible customer service and I think this is a kind of ministry. What a pics poor example of Christianity. It's people like this who keep others from becoming christians. No one ever knew I was there. I got out of there withmykid. Noooway
Mike Wilson: What is the name of the martial art style
Erica Polk: This place is amazing. Great staff and my son really feels comfortable there. Thanks F.I.T. Martial Arts for making us feel like FAMILY.
Shaunte Edwards: Positive:Communication,Professionalism,Quality,ValueGreat atmosphere and professional place! I love the growth I see in my daughter from her being a part of the F.I.T. family!
Shawn Marshall: Great helpful staff, frequent small class sizes that are easy to schedule around. Good for all ages, from young kids to adults like me.
Amanda Inman: Positive:Communication,Professionalism,Quality,ValueMy 8 year old son loves going to class here and learning! His teachers work with each child one on one before moving on to the next lesson. Classes are by belt rank, not age related. This is nice due to the older kids or adults being able to help the youngest students.
Amir Muhammad: Positive:Communication,Professionalism,Value
Betsy Moran: Very accomodating and attentive to the kids.
Jeff Lanoye: I have been attending with my two sons for almost 30 weeks now. In that time we all have gained confidence, self control, discipline, and a sense of security from the self-defense aspects of what we are learning. The staff takes time out of their day to spend a few mins after class answering questions and helping with the class material. They have also taken time to answer just general questions about the process and timelines for progression.Aside from the above, we have also created an opportunity for family bonding, which now a days is a valuable part of growing up as a kid.The program cost per person for a once a week class is manageable in my opinion, but they are also understanding that life happens. The key, I think, is to be honest with the staff, communicate, and ensure a mutual understanding. They will work with you where they can.I highly recommend F.I.T Martial Arts to anyone, young or old, to learn a valuable art that will stick with you for the rest of your life. If nothing else, it is a great way to get off the couch and get active in something positive, PARENTS and kids alike.
George Limbawan: It has been a year since when I got my kid to their class and I can say that I am very satisfied on the way they manage everything. Though there are some times that we got some just minor problems but everything has been resolved smoothly. I am very happy from the way they communicate and the way they approach me. My last word is that they know their job and they know how to manage... Thanks to the Team and to Sir Ray...
Tasha Phiffer: Grandson loved the intro class. But was unable to keep the program that just start Sep 17 due to issues with his dad car they took out the payment and he didnt even attend the class and i canceled and couldnt even get a refund on the 21st $300 down the drain. They dnt care what going on all about the money never again the registration is high as hell
Grace Ruyle: Critical:Communication,Professionalism,Quality,Value
Sully: Critical:Professionalism,Quality,Value
Nicole Lyles: Positive:Communication
Nicole Licklider: Critical:Professionalism,Quality,ValueBeware of this studio. If you are anything other than an overzealous Christian you will be treated as an inferior. Do your research on the owner: the info is on the internet available for you to find.
Angela “Angie” Gibson: It's been 10+ years since Mr.Ray was my instructor when St.Louis Martial Arts Academy was on Olive.. I would have to say he is the best instructor who taught me to have discipline and control. But he always trained us to be always believe in ourselves. That what was how I earned my 1st degree black belt until I had multiple right knee surgeries and 1 left because of patella dislocation. My joints sit high. But now I beat myself up since martial arts was my passion in life.. Ill be stopping by sometime to See Master Ray..:)
