Kohn's Kosher Meat and Deli Restaurant: what do users think?
Hugh Tychsen: Want to go back in time to a fantastic New York City deli in Manhattan?? This is it! Incredible food, excellent culture, but you have to have some thick skin to figure out where/what to order! Phenomenal lunch spot; I frequent Kohn's weekly!
Dana Regenbogen: This was my first experience going into Kohn’s deli and it will be my last. I walked in to place my order, and about a minute after I arrived a man walked in after me. Instead of filling my order, the employee turned to the man who obviously was a regular customer, and proceeded to get his order ,completely ignoring me. After waiting for her to complete his order, she finally turned to me after checking her phone for messages and then gave me what I came in for. I assumed she was then going to check me out at the register, but instead she took another customer’s order. Apparently Kohn’s is only interested in serving their known customers.
Sue Rundblad: Wonderful
Will Frost: Delicious pastrami on rye. Thanks for lunch!
Jason M: The new owners have completely ruined this establishment. This used to be our go to place for for parties. Since they sold everything has gone downhill. The new employees are rude, and the food quality has noticeably decreased. We called and ordered food for 14. When the food showed up we started asking questions when the driver continued to bring in food. They charged us almost $600. This was not communicated to us at any point. When we called to ask why they charged so much and sent so much food they replied with “we see that you said you only had 14 coming but we only make platters for 30.”The new manager then fought with us endlessly on the phone taking none of the blame.Attached is a photo of the remaining food after the entire party of 14 ate. Still enough food for another 20 people.Used to recommend this place to everyone. Now I recommend everyone stays as far away from this place as possible… unless of course you want to be taken advantage of.
philip roberson: Really great pastrami sandwich. Friendly people. I was looking for something like Canters in LA. Food wise this is it.
steven cohen: A.J. Moll has bought Kohns ..Expect GREAT CHANGES AND SUPERB FOOD!
Ric Comana: A little strange in that I got a text saying my order was ready. Then when I got there they hadn't even started to make it.Anyway was not in a rush and enjoyed it very much.Very nice friendly people
Matt Kerr: Great Jewish deli. We had the pastrami on rye sandwich. Very good flavors. Cole slaw and potato salad for the sides were also very good. This is a great little store serving the Kosher community and those wanting great breads and pastries. They have other grocery items as well.
Explorers: It's hard not to love Kohn's. The people are some of the friendliest lot I've come across. The warmth radiates in the entire restaurant. Two gentlemen particularly stood out for us. One is from Jerusalem and I forget his name and the other guy is Nasir (hope I got your spelling right) are just wonderful. They not only gave us meat to taste, but packed us extra when we got some to take home. Super nice gesture that you don't get to see often. We had the beef pastrami that was just the right seasoning and sauce. It was not too hot, not too cold. The coleslaw tasted delicious as well. We had some brisket to take home and that was mind blowing. We replicated the same sandwich back home because that's how impressed we were with the food. We'd definitely come back when we crave some of the beef pastrami and brisket. Absolutely yum! Thank you guys! Me and my husband loved the warmth and kindness.
Kelly Mileur: Happened to be in the area killing time and looking for lunch. Drove by and noticed this deli and decided to try something new. They seemed very busy behind the counter, so there was a bit of a wait, but the service was outstanding when it was finally our turn.We both had the pastrami and it was fantastic and I had plenty to take home with me for lunch tomorrow. We will definitely be back!
Kim Armstrong: Travelling through this area from Texas. We stopped for the "experience " of a genuine kosher deli...and we weren't disappointed! We both had the Killer Pastrami and it was great. Another customer (originally from NY) said this was her father's favorite pastrami. We also tried a few pastries and bought a bag of "day-old" bagels. Everything we tried was delicious and the people were friendly and informative. I noticed they were calling their regular customers by first name. Highly recommend.
Beth Ann B: Great place in general but ESPECIALLY when you are looking for kosher foods. Their bakery has delicious treats that have enabled us to make sure every child in my daughter's class gets "birthday treats"!
Mark Chao: Driven by dozens if not hundreds of times. Rather unassuming from outside and thought I'd give it a try. As I'm from east coast I miss and love deli sandwich and now this is one of my favorite sandwich spots. Lots of selections but chose the pastrami on rye with everything. Not overwhelming with toppings but enough to definitely enhance the meat. Rye wasn't overly fancy and honestly this sandwich is what I've been searching for. Simple east coast deli style sandwich
John Sheperd: Always a wonderful experience and great food and sweet employees.
Vickie F: Killer pastrami!❤❤
NukSuKow: Very disappointing. I’m from NY so I guess I expect a different type of service and quality. Portion for pastrami sandwich was extremely small and the pastrami was the most salty pastrami I’ve ever had in my life. If I hadn’t been starving there’s no chance I would’ve eaten it. They have great israeli products and frozen foods though that are great but that’s about it. Won’t be coming back to eat
The Wallner Team: It's such a wonderful place! The food was great, everyone working there was polite and pleasant. We will definitely be back sooner than later!!
Megan Herbig: The best!!! Amazing pickles. Can’t wait to go back.
Brad Whiteside: The bagels are delicious, the pastrami is out of the world and the people are very welcoming. Do not skip out on this one! We will absolutely be going back.
Kyle Neely: The “killer pastrami” was quite the bummer. Microwaved and dried out cuts with inedible fatty parts mixed in. The dining area was an absolute mess and while not being busy, food was all over the floor, we found one of the few clean-ish tables. Won’t go back.

Carl's Deli: what do users think?
Kevin Brown: Im here to tell you if you are hungry for a big nice deli sandwich Carl's Deli is the spot for you or anybody else..Keep making us happy & don't neva changed up..that what makes you guys so special!!! Kevin
emmaster: It was pretty good, we got pastrami and turkey sandwiches. They have a discount if you pay with cash (1% or something, I believe). Kaiser roll was great, prefer that over the white bread. Meat was good though not super flavorful.. I’m thinking I should try the cold version next time!
ken hall: Always enjoy a great sandwich from their best pastrami in the city
Ben Maschan: Best beef tongue in town that I've found so far. Just so good.
Jacob Schwartz: Amazing sandwich
Henrietta Stevenson: Corn beef sandwich off the chain
Tashara Sahara: The portion of meat that you get is crazy! I'm more of a bread and veggies person myself, so the fact that they charge for lettuce, tomatoe, and onions is a quick thumbs down (not to metion cheese is another seperate charge. The prices are a bit too high. For a sandwich and chips, I paid about 17 bucks (which did not include vegetables because I assumed they came with the sandwich. You can get the same quality with cheese and vegetables included at Jersey Mikes for less. The hospitality level gets a 5 out of 10. They're not rude but they don't make you feel particularly welcomed. I heard that the original owners sold the business a while back. Sadly I will not return.
Jer Wilcoxen: This is a good, local neighborhood take-out sandwich joint, though not the special, destination, go-out-of-your-way deli that other reviewers are making it out to be. Absolutely, the portions here are great, but the quality is not the "New York style deli" level I was informed it was. Any served-hot sandwiches are simply warmed up in Chef Mike (microwave); and though tasty and large portioned, nothing special. The dining space doubles as a storage area, with the line for the sandwich counter weaving between 7-8 tightly placed tables, and really needs a remodel, and expansion. Parking is on street, practically non-existant. The place seemed understaffed when I visited mid-day. Two people traded off making sandwiches and handling payment/money, with no one to service tables, most of which had empty plates and lunch detritus decorating them.On the other hand, my corned beef Reuben sandwich was good, and I saw that they use Boar's Head meats and cheeses, which says something for their components' quality; but their sides were less tasty. So, I could absolutely see myself stopping in for a take-out sandwich once a week or so, if I lived closeby in the neighborhood, or if i was in the area and taking it to a park or something; but can't see myself going out of my way for it.
Carol Leonard: The sandwiches are HUGE and so good! Very friendly staff. We will be back.
A Barrow: Best pastrami in all the town
emma Westfall: Love every bit
Shalonda Robinson: Great fast Service and Fat Sandwiches
Johnny Phillips: I love Carl's .The Best sandwiches......
Wonder May: Simply delicious!
Chris Medlock: We LOVE the hot pastrami!! This is a real deal Deli!
bernard5821: I've found a new deli and love it. Looking forward to many good meals!
David shannon: Today was especially crowded due to St.Pat's celebration but the sandwiches are still the best.
David Bray: This place makes great sandwiches.
Bryan Hill: Awesome pastrami!!!! Well worth it!!
Paula: Delicious! So much corned beef. We split the Reuben sandwich and the German potato salad and came home with halfa sandwich. Definitely will be back.
Joseph Novel: It’s Carls Deli best overstuffed sandwiches in town. Bring your appetite.
