John Woods: The staff was very helpful, knowledgeable, and friendly. With my Veteran's discount and how quickly I found everything, I was out of there in no time.

king9five: Really not a fan of the home Depot in general. Hard to find thingsand most of the employees don't know anything about anything and they are few and far between.
Mark Dowgiallo: Rude and extremely inconsiderate staff. This is what happens when you hire inconsiderate/incompetent managers with no consideration for customer service.
Marusha Melo: This store is Absolute garbage! This place is useless and the staff is inconsiderate! The manager closed the outside gate and stated that we needed to walk through the store with our heavy load because she didn’t feel like waiting for us to check out. The cart was extremely heavy with pavers! Never coming back here and will make sure that the BBB gets a claim!

Michael Kimmel: I've gone from a former Lowe's fan to a Home Depot fanatic! (To be fair, I still use Lowe's on occasion.) Generally it's the Arnold Home Depot I visit, but I've not had a bad experience there, Sunset Hills, or the South Lindbergh location. Employees are available, helpful, and know their store well.

Lee Gomes: If I'm going to go to one of the big box hardware stores, it has to be this Home Depot! It is always well stocked with whatever I'm looking for, and on this particular visit I walked in the door and someone immediately said "what can I help you find?" I said air filters and was directed immediately, to the exact aisle whereupon I was confronted by a wall of options, and was having a bit of trouble finding what I had been told to purchase, when not one, but two(!) Home Depot Associates offered to assist me. They helped me find what I had been advised to purchase, and then explained why what I needed to purchase was important for my fairly new HVAC system. So not only did I get what I needed quickly and efficiently, but I also learned something important that day! Thank you Home Depot for hiring and training such knowledgeable associates!

Suzanne Chisum: A good place to get plants for the garden. I did have difficulty locating some items.
Sara Hamilton: GLEN should NOT be working behind the Customer Service counter at Home Depot. He exudes a negative & bothered attitude, has apathetic behavior, and is unprofessional, unhelpful, and perversely unyielding. Furthermore last but certainly not least, he 100% creates problems rather than solving them. As a Veteran, I am grateful for Home Depot's 10% military discount; however, I am outraged and appalled by the treatment received from Glen in Customer Service at the Sunset Hills location.

Eaph Brown: I put one only because I had to. Avoid this place. Especially if you have pets. On two separate occasions the same store associate tried to instigate my dog to bite for no reason. At no time did my dog bark, growl or do anything to warrant this behavior. When I escalated the matter to manager, he didn't even know his store's policy on pets. When I tried to go farther up all I got was corporate gibberish. Now I go to Lowes.

Greg Wolf: I went to Home Depot's Sunset Hills, MO store today to exchange two-(2) propane tanks. The initial attendant (don't know his name) tried to find two-(2) full tanks. There were four-(4) bins of propane tanks and after finding one-(1) tank, he couldn't find the second one. While checking the fourth bin, the key to the lock broke off. He went inside and got "Ron" the head cashier at that time (02/17/2023: 12:45 p.m.). Ron removed the broken part of the key, but was unable to open the lock. He arranged to get a credit back on my credit card, and walked me inside to "Cindy" at the Service Desk. She handled the credit along with taking the time to write out the series of events so I would not have any trouble getting the "Exchange Rate" when I came back in, because I decided to leave the extra empty propane tank there. When I was finished, I walked out only to find the Amerigas Company truck there exchanging ALL the empties with FULL propane tanks. Ron gave me the second tank I wanted and he said 'this one's on the house, since you were inconvenienced'! WOW! That was great customer service! Ron & Cindy need to be recognized for trying to take care of my issue! Thanks! Greg Wolf

Lloyd Wintjen: While it wasn't an experience without issue, I did enjoy my visit to this location. Mainly due to Melanie(I hope that's spelled correctly). She was our cashier, but so much more. She was helping locate products that were listed as in stock but not in the correct spot according to the app. She also took time out to talk to us, and she was upbeat the entire time. She truly made our visit enjoyable. I did have an interaction with a manager and she was nice as well. I will frequent this location when I am near. Thank you to Melanie, especially.

June Lenoir: Clerk was so courteous, she didn't hesitate to stop what she was doing to accommodate my personal needs to use her code to unlock the restroom for me and other customers, both men and women.
Christie S: Chris in the garden department was more than helpful and extremely polite. He offered to take our mulch to the front for checkout and then helped load it in the car. This young man provided wonderful customer experience!!! Five stars for Chris!!!
Ashley Danelle: My friend and I went in late last night bc we ran out of mulch right before our project was complete. Chris W. met us outside of the garden center entrance in the store and offered to push our cart. We were still browsing so he pushed the cart all the way to the register for us which was halfway thru the store. When our transaction was complete he pushed the cart again for us and even loaded the mulch into our vehicle. Really nice young man and great service we didn’t expect.

Yesterday had the most misogynistic experience at Hanley’s location (rented a 20 inch chainsaw) and I left more upset than I should have let it make me…but I ended up having to pay for a broken tool, and when I tried to explain that the tool wasn’t working properly, they would not accept that it could be anything but user error. The way I was treated was Handmaid’s Tale meets a pop up tool Rental in the middle of nowhere 2 minutes into a B horror movie. My friend was on the phone as this was happening, she couldn’t believe how awful they were. Home Depot lost both of our business forever yesterday.

Lee Gomes: When I need just one thing, and Home Depot is the best place to purchase it, I often dread going because I fear that I will have to hike from one end of that place to the other to find what I need. However, at this location, there were numerous associates available to answer questions and I was immediately able to find someone who knew exactly where I needed to go to get what I came for, and who then actually walked me there to ensure that I found what I had asked for! Then, all of a sudden I realized there were two other things I needed, and the associate knew exactly where those items were, and walked me to both of them to make sure I found them as well! I was so impressed that this gentleman knew where everything was, and was kind enough to make sure that I found them without wandering aimlessly which often happens to me in a big box store. It was the best Home Depot experience I have ever had.

R Johnson: Non existent customer service at this location. 7:30 pm Sat March 18th. Was "disconnected" while talking with the employee in paint dept. Then pick up hang up 3 times. Call 5 I spoke with manager on duty who I asked to confirm inventory. Once I was in store the employee on his cell phone leaned against the counter with not a worry in the world. Excellent job guys! I'll give it 2 stars because they did have what I needed in stock.
Alhusain Ghazala: The appliances department is terrible. They sold me a dishwasher with installation and haul away service. The dishwasher was delivered they disconnected the old one and claimed they don’t install dishwashers. I called the store twice and spoke to two different assistant managers who were very rude did not want to take accountability. The managers said they don’t install dishwasher, the third party contractor who delivered the appliance said they did installation but did not work with PVC pipes nor copper. Corporate office (1800 number) said non of that true and they should provide all services.There was zero communication between everyone and they were all rude. Never again
