Seems like another hardware chain has "exclusive" rights to that brand now, and that brand is no longer as good as it used to be anyway.If you need a part, and you don't want to traipse all the way to one of the big box stores (where you'll never find anyone to help you), Southside is a good place to start. Sunday we were having issues with our electric outlet, and instead of selling us the items that we came in for, Steve took the time to explain about the size of wires, code, etc. He then recommended an electrician, with 25+ yrs exp. Who called back, and came out same day to fix. I am always satisfied when I leave this store. They also sharpen my knives and scissors, and we have our lawn equipment serviced there. MaryAnn Russum: Great small hardware store with lots of great finds. And they have the cheapest bird seed you'll likely find in town. They are always very helpful and ready to answer any questions too. Great local place, and much better than the big box stores.

Steve Bell: When I walked in I saw an extremely clean store. I was greeted and asked what I was looking for. The two gentlemen at the counter immediately started looking and could not find the part in stock which is a really hard part to find. They checked their catalog which had many things close to it but no go. There were many things I was impressed with including personalized service and I could see that the associate genuinely liked what he was doing. The store appears small from the outside but when you walk in you see well stocked shelves very neatly organized and a great variety of items as well.When I make it back up to Brentwood I will stop in because of the nice impression the gentleman made. It is a store You shouldn't pass up. Check it out and see if they can help you. I would like to thank you guys for an awesome experience.

Abby Evers: I love having a local hardware store so close (I’ve lived in the area six years now) and I value shopping local, so I stop in here from time to time instead of going to the large chain hardware stores. If I know exactly what I want I’m a patron and I’m in and out. If I have a project I’m unsure of how to execute, I’ve learned to go to Home Depot instead. The staff at this maplewood location is not friendly nor helpful. Whereas Home Depot staff spend the time to chat with you about your project so they can help you find the right hardware. The stars are given for the heritage not the friendliness.

David Garnett: Harbor freight has a large variety of stuff for the do it yourself .. type person..and low prices.. plus quality items for the price...I really like their Generators that are super quiet and won't have neighbors complaining...and are fuel efficient..The one I use every day runs 16 hours on a tank of gas..And since I don't overload my generator...it has not given me a problem for the last 3 years..I have 3 generators from Harbor freight....I stay like off the grid..So Generators are a must for me.. plus I work on cars and trucks...So Harbor freight is always one of the places I go for stuff to get the job done..with going broke....

The manager should take some of that pretend he's restocking moments and learn the product... I'm sure they really didn't have anti fog glasses, not a bike shop. But to say you never heard of wire strippers that strip more than just the tip, and to tell me the electrical is on isle 9 instead of 8 just shows you don't know your product.... you carry 3 pairs, and you're out of 2. It's so rude not to pretend interest when out on a date, you know automatic cable rippers is intriguing even if you don't know what a screw driver is.. your cashier lied for ya... said you follow everyone around like that. Not only did you fail at judging someone because I'm on a bike and have a backpack, which I left by the door. Thank you for the store tour, next time can we hold hands and do a little dance, I didn't even get to sing to you. Tisk.

I love the store, but one person cost you a sale and now a star.For today 4-29-2023 around 1715 I waited at a check out along with everyone else at 5 or 6 other check outs backed up. I waited in my line and the associate rang up my items and I proceeded to pay and she told me this was cards only, no cash. I mentioned that there was no sign or poorly indicated that this was for cards only. No response.She started deleting the items that she rang up and started looking over to other checkouts and I just said forget it. Take the cart. Which cost you a customer today. Due to This experience I'm not inclined to make this my first choice. Today my money will go to your competition. ~ SB************Previous review which still stands from 2 years ago.I had never been here before and when I walked in I was stunned to see how clean, organized everything was and seeing it was a two-level Menards with just about equal space on the second level as the first.There are two escalators which you can go up and down on with your cart and also an elevator. You could walk around in there for a couple of hours. Just about everybody working there asked if I needed help. I went in for a few things and I could not find one and the other is an online order. An associate named Larry who stocks the shelves helped me, stopping at one or two computer stations and they led us to the item. The other I wanted would have been on the 2nd level, but it's hard to find and needed ordering.. Larry was awesome as he stayed with me to make sure I found what I needed. Thank You Larry! I wandered around for quite a while just seeing if there were new things or something I needed that I had forgotten about.Being from out of town from Rolla Missouri the Menards in Rolla (which I like as well) is like a shed compared to this one. Ann Na Belle: No service in this area is of quality, but I figured cutting sheet flooring would be simple enough. I was proven incorrect. I’ve never seen anyone cut a 12’x12’ sheet and STILL proceed to roll it the 12’ way. Not only is it unnecessarily cumbersome, it hides an incorrect cut.
Toni Lomani: Have plenty of celery in the overhead compartment. Catcalling helps when mathematics learning time lives in the mustard. Is arriving zeppelin tied with suspenders? More nothing than last go!

It took me three days with the scaffolding and they sent the police to my house because they assumed that I wanted to keep it. That same night I go and pay the difference and rent the scaffolding for one more day, the next day when I went to return it, I returned it a few minutes late and they charged me the full day. So they charge you more if you spend the time for a few minutes and if you spend more than one day they send the police to your house. DO NOT RENT TOOLS IN MENARDS.
