Gateway Digestive & Liver Specialists LLC: what do users think?
Kasan Moorehead: Dr. Clines is hands down one of the most incredible physicians I have had the pleasure of working with as a patient and on professional level. He is easy to talk to as a patient with a bedside manner that is unmatched! Dr. Clines, thank you for all the years of you taking great care of me and my family, as well as my extended family!
Kimberly Edwards: Dr. Clines and staff they're all amazing 💙💙
Kaitlyn Winters: Dr. Clines is one of the kindest and most patient doctors I have ever met. He really seems to care about how you're feeling and how to fix any issue you're having. I appreciate the time he takes listening to me every time I see him and the in depth testing he orders to figure things out.
Jacob Bailey: I couldn't say enough good things about Dr Damon Clines and his staff. My fiancé has been suffering from some severe GI issues and her now ex GI dr only wanted to prescribe meds instead of finding the issue. Also they play the waiting game of scheduling appointments 1-2 months away when they know she is in pain and having frequent ER visits. Dr Clines not only got us in the SAME day but listened to us, read her labs and records but truly cared how she was feeling.Kudos guys! It was well worth the 20 mile drive for us to get some answers and move in a forward direction. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.

Dr. C. Prakash Gyawali, MD, MRCP: what do users think?
LaDonna Duncan: They’ve helped me out of some bad vomiting cycles. They get right back with you quickly.
Laura Hamm: Dr. Gyawali was very nice. His son and my son went to school together, which made my son feel very comfortable. When I called to set up an appointment today, I made the mistake of calling the number listed on Google, which I was informed was incorrect. It seemed to greatly displeasure the person who answered the phone that I called the wrong section of the practice, so you might wish to update that. I have attached a photo for reference. The correct number has the same prefix but ends in 2066.
Mahir: Great bed side manner and knowledgeable. Would recommend
Thelma Baker: I have seen Dr.Gywali for about 4 years he saved my life i have achalasia rare thing but this dr was quick to take me as an emergency patient i went from 314lbs to 162lbs less than 8 months i couldnt eat or drink i wpould try n i would get sick everytime so i have to thank him for saving me he was friendly every visit we had explain everything and made sure u understood what was going on
Mallory Worley: Waited 9 months for first appointment with Dr. Gyawali. My first (and only) appointment with Dr. Gyawali has been, by far, the most horrible experience I have ever endured with anyone affiliated with Wash U. Descriptive terms that come to mind: condescending, dismissive, awkward, incoherent, irresponsible. Bizarre, actually. Refuses to listen, contradicts himself, becomes irate and offended when you ask questions or don't immediately and enthusiastically accept everything he says. Makes it clear that in his expert medical opinion, if you are not hospitalized and clearly dying when you see him, you are perfectly fine and you are wasting his time. His approach to medicine is to treat individual symptoms and ensure that you are aware that he has no responsibility or desire to determine the actual cause of your symptoms. I left having absolutely no idea what I had just paid for after waiting 9 months. To top it off, office staff are unbelievably rude.
Jamie Benny: I’ve been seeing Dr. Gyawali for four years for GI complications that arose from surgery I had to have for esophageal cancer. Dr. Gyawali is an excellent and very skilled doctor. He has performed several procedures on me and has always been very pleasant.
Cathy Maxwell: I have been seeing Dr. Gyawali since 2011. I was diagnosed with cervical cancer in 1993. I was living in Lancaster, CA and no physicians that was qualified to operate. I flew back to Stl and had a radical hysterectomy. An unfortunate result of this surgery was prolific scar tissue, which resulted in abdominal surgery to free the scar tissue so that my gut would function properly. This surgery had to be repeated every 3-5 years, but that done, I had my life back and functioned normally. That is until 2010, had scar release, but hyperbaric surgeon did my scar release, cut into my bowel in 5 places, had to sew up areas, was hospitalized 30 days... someone screwed the pooch. I was discharged with my body a mess. The could not move my bowels for as many as 7 days. Suddenly, my gut was the sum total of my focus. I would be unable to eliminate my bowel for 7 days. Then o would start to go, I would end up with explosive, watery diarrhea for 2 days which left me tied to a bathroom, in pain and bleeding. It was then I knew I had to get help.I went to 9 different doctors. Two said that what I was describing was not possible. Three wanted to refer me to a psychiatrist and implied that my physical problems were mental, not physical. Another 3.said outright that I needed to go back to the surgeon who I felt started this madnessFinally I found a doctor who assured we would get to the bottom of this. She ordered ct, X-ray, Gi upper and lower and pelvic floor eval. All results in, she said she did not know what was wrong, but that I needed to see a university physician because they were up on the latest. This only took 11 months. I am now armed with names, one Dr Chandra Prakash Gyawali was the physician she felt was the best.I called for an appointment but had to wait 4 months for an appointment.Mind you, while all this was going on, I tried to work.Month four came, I went to see Dr. Gyawali. He carefully did an exam. He then sat me down, and validated every symptom I had and looked me straight in the eyes and told he had heard my story so many times from others he treats. He said I would never go into an ER for a blockage and be discharged as a drug seeker, or treated as I am mentally ill. He set up a follow up appointment every 6 months, or sooner if I needed his help. I was then prescribed a medication which allowed me to lead a normal life with normal bowel habits.Over the last 7 years Dr. Gyawali has seen me and adjusted medical protocols to my changing needs. He has kept me out of intestinal surgery for intestinal blockages. He and I are a partner in my healthcare.I have sent several patients to Dr. Gyawali, all have good things to say.I respect and admire Dr. Gyawali and his PA Pricilla. They are focused on giving excellent patient care and employing patients as partners in their own care.
John Shipman: Easy to talk to. Very knowledgeable.Grateful.
Leslie Fraraccio: We didn't even make it five minutes into the appointment and I left. I am a chronically Ill person with a connective tissue genetic disorder, I have had a really hard time getting adequate care and I have a multitude of gastric problems, I heard he has background in connective tissue so I waited over 9 months to see him. I have never in my life had an issue with any doctor like I had with this one in the first five minutes. One thing I know from experience of seeing several doctors a month is that the ones you drop are the ones that are not good listeners and this guy could not listen, he likes to talk down to you, interrupt, correct you and actually has this somewhat hostile demeanor I felt like my presence alone offended him somehow. I have had inept docs before but still had a good relationship with them and would politely part ways. He may have felt by interrupting me and trying to control freak the whole convo he is saving time, but if he isn't getting all the info and what has transpired in the past to bring me to my current condition and why I am seeing him, he's not able to properly care for you. I've had docs be short with me, I have had ones with the worse bedside manner ever and nothing compares to the ultra creepy feeling this doc gave off nor have I ever walked out on a doc before ever. I don't get why he is so booked up. Hint, it takes less time to get through patient concerns and history if you shut up and just listen. I'm pretty sure new patient consult I paid my $40 copayment for covers about a 30 min visit, not so sure what the rush was or what the negative attitude from GO was, but I do know I would never take anyone I care about to this guy.
