Washington University Fertility and Reproductive Medicine Center: what do users think?
Kandi Elko: My daughter and her husband started their process in October, 2022. Her transfer was in February, 2023. They are expecting their son in November, 2023. Dr Omurtag and his staff were excellent. I went to a lot of the appointments and always felt so welcomed and included. I would definitely recommend.
Susan Lenny: I highly recommend WashU Fertility to anyone who is struggling to conceive. I worked with Dr. Omurtag and his team (recommended by my OBGYN) and they were always very on time with office visits, quick to reply to mychart messages, and quick to do any insurance preauthorizations to make sure things go smoothly when they need to. My husband and I first went to see Dr. Omurtag December 2021, and we just welcomed our baby boy in May 2023. We are so thankful!
Devon McCollum: I cannot say enough good things about my experience! I just had my transfer today, so success rate is unknown but the experience has really been amazing. Everyone that I have worked with there was commhnicative and so helpful. My nurse, Denice, was prompt and so helpful especially when I was spinning and way too in my head. She made me feel safe and strong. Dr. Jimenez was my doctor and wonderful, Dr. Omurtag did my egg retrieval, nurse Jackie was my nurse in transfer day and Dr Anderson did my transfer and honestly have only the most positive feelings and things to say about them all! Highly recommend!
susie ditmer: After years of trying to get pregnant. I had to do IVF. Kenan Omurtag and his office made that possible. Always answered my questions and helped every step of the way. I had my daughter a month ago. Long and beautiful journey.
Amber Gypsy: Cannot recommend Dr. Omurtag enough! He is so personable and kind. He made our IVF experience much easier than I thought possible.
Tj Aldridge (RazrEdge68): I honestly cannot recommend this place for assistance with infertility. The billing department will do whatever it takes to avoid claims being handled by insurance providers. Our insurance covers diagnosis but not treatment which we understood. Before we even started treatments we were getting hammered with bills. These bills were from the testing that was performed to find out why my wife and I were having issues conceiving. I spoke with my insurance company several times explaining exactly what the tests were and each time they said it would be covered if the hospital would bill it correctly. One bill was eventually corrected but the second bill (more expensive one) kept coming back and we eventually had to pay it out of pocket. This nearly wiped out our savings so we could only afford one attempt at the ultrasounds and IUI. We were refused the IUI as things didn't work as planned and we just stopped as we would have to pay out of pocket for more ultrasounds.
Julie N: I highly recommend Dr. Omurtag and the Wash U fertility clinic. We met with Dr. Omurtag in the late fall of 2021 and just welcomed a baby boy this winter thanks to his team. The entire clinic was professional, prompt, and supportive throughout our IVF process. While IVF is no walk in the park having such supportive and friendly providers made the process much easier.
Andrea Scarpace: Let me start out by saying the entire staff has made this the BEST medical experience I’ve ever had. From the very first phone call scheduling my new client appointment with Monishia to all the amazing women at the front desk who were always so supportive when they saw me, my venipuncture nurses who never missed a vein and would keep their fingers crossed for good numbers to my informative and cautiously excited ultrasound techs who would explain what we were seeing and eventually showed us our future babies heartbeat for the first time. My nurse Kimberly who was always there to answer any of my silly questions or concerns and Katherine who performed my IUI. You ladies are all amazing! Dr. Omurtag, the brains behind all of this scary fertility treatment. I love this facility so much. I never waited more than five minutes in the waiting room. They always accommodated with my work schedule. They are all simply amazing people who truly support and want the best for you.
Heather K: Dr Omurtag and his staff gave my husband and I the greatest gift - our son. After 8 years of unexplained infertility , Dr omurtag was instrumental in diagnosing me with endometriosis and putting together a plan to help us get pregnant . After doing ivf at another local clinic that produced no results , Dr omurtag got us pregnant after our first egg retrieval and transfer . He made several adjustments to my medications and protocol that I feel were key to our success . The entire staff worked as a well oiled , organized machine. Kathy is knowledgeable and responds quickly . Dr Jimenez did my egg retrieval and Dr Keller our transfer … I never felt like a staff member did not know who I was or what was going on with my treatment . Dr omurtag is not only intelligent but also young and hungry. I would highly recommend wash u’s reproductive department for anyone experiencing infertility .
Rebecca Dixon: Highly recommend washU fertility!I can’t say enough great things about Dr Omurtag, nurses, and every staff member at this facility. Ivf can be very confusing and emotionally hard but the nurses are very attentive and respond quickly with any questions/worries you might have! Both egg retrieval and transfer went smoothly. The nurses were very sweet and made me feel comfortable. We were successful on the first try!! I can’t thank them enough for everything! All around great place!
Fabio Lucca: Grate people grate job!
Erin Bear: While just starting the fertility journey I was diagnosed with breast cancer. During a time of unknowns another huge obstacle was added to the plate. Dr. Omurtag and his team were very compassionate, encouraging, and informative. As the fertility journey alone can have extreme highs and lows the nursing team and staff were very supportive. I am very thankful to say two years later I hope to be delivering a healthy baby soon. Thankful to have chosen Washington University Fertility and Reproductive Medicine Center.
Dawn Jones-Goldstein: Very unresponsive and lack of follow up. I really regret using them although I did have a successful pregnancy. I have a section in my son's baby book about our IVF journey, and I honestly want to burn his baby book and make a new one. Find a fertility center that actually cares even if that means traveling.
Courtney Diley: We started our journey with Dr. Omurtag in October 2020. First IUI was scheduled for November (failed) and the 2nd for early February (also failed). My husband had low motility and based on Dr. Omurtag’s recommendations and guidance the next step was IVF. However, he was confident we would respond well bc I have a high AMH.Had my baseline on July 16th and by July 30th he retrieved 20 eggs with 12 mature enough to be inseminated, 7 made it to Day 3 and 4 making it to Day 5. Embryo Transfer was August 4th and made it a full 40 weeks! Our little lady was born 40wks+1 day.We owe all this to Dr. Omurtag and his team. The attentiveness and just matter of fact approach they had with us was best for us dual military couple. We are so thankful and highly highly recommend WashU for fertility treatment.
Katie Griffin: The only good thing I can say is that the ultrasound techs were nice and did not bruise me, as previous techs have. Other than that, the staff was unresponsive, never called with test results, did not communicate well, and literally admitted they forgot to call me with my ultrasound results. As much as I understand they are desensitized to the situation due to them being specialists, they made an already stressful and overwhelming chapter in mine and my husband's lives more stressful and overwhelming. I have nothing but frustration from this office and am finding a new care provider.
Megan Wolken: My husband and I have sought the help of the WashU fertility team twice now. Our first starting back in 2018 and again just last year, 2021. Both have achieved success with our baby #2 on 12/10/22!!
Jennie Alberts: Dr. Omurtag and the staff at Wash U Fertility are the most caring, thorough and attentive medical professionals. They made this process as comfortable and stress free as possible! They are with you every step of the way and the attention you receive I have never experienced before. I would recommend them to anyone looking to embark on the fertility journey.
Krista Jobe-Wisdom: Dr. Omurtag is amazing! 100% recommend him!
Bradley Wisdom: My wife and I had a great experience with all the doctors and nurses at WashU Fertility. After a couple failed attempts, we decided to wait to get into WashU and work with their team. I’m happy to say we have had much success and a lot has to do with their excellent staff and medicine.
Kodie Ferketich: The experience and knowledge of the staff (especially Dr.Omurtag) is amazing.
Joe Malat: This review is long overdue, but my wife and I truly can't thank Dr. Omurtag and team enough. They are extremely knowledgeable, very compassionate, and listened. We felt the care was tailored for success and not just a one size fits all approach. Everyone went above and beyond, whether it was for extra information or just moral support. Using MyChart makes things more efficient and in our experience the office visits were very prompt. Infertility is a difficult journey, but would highly recommend the Wash U clinic.

Infertility Center of St Louis: what do users think?
Aily Kusmanto: Worst experience in my life. At 46 I was supressed with bc pills before every retrieval. And the 3 months wait for tranfer was not explained clearly until the day of retrieval. Being an international patient and older, I wasted 9 months for a failed transfer. Please stop advertising as specializing in older women. Older women dont do well with bc pills and waiting around for 3 months for transfer (not including Dr Silber vacation) was torturing. You cant even talk to the Doctor. Only time you see him was during egg retrieval. I could have gone to cny and do back to back retrieval with fresh transfer and have a higher chance. Now I cant get my Time back.
Kyle N: I think Dr. Silber is great. However his nurse that was assigned to us was rude annd unprofessional. After paying several thousand dollars, my wife refused to go back after the treatment from the nurse assigned to us, D...y.She was rude and very short except when Dr. Silber was present. My wife insists on using someone else now due to this treatment, and it isn’t due to non-success, we didn’t even get to that point.
Angeles Zayas: Dr Silber was a Miracle worker and a Gift from God. My husband and I have been married for almost 18 yrs and we have been trying to conceive since we got married, we try other feritility clinics in the past and it was just disappointment after disappointment. We were giving treatment that instead of helping it make it even harder. We came across Dr Silber in the internet and we were not looking for any other treatment as we had lost hope. Then we cross again with a magazine article about how miracle worker Dr Silber is and we decided to try it. Dr Silber and his staff was very upfront, honest and very communicate through the process. Today I can said, THANK YOU as we have our little miracle with us, Faith Isabel, she was born on Oct 13, 2022 and they kept in touch and follow up with me during and after my pregnancy. If you are like me, don't loose hope, just trust every word and every step Dr Silber and Dr DeRosa tell you and I am sure you will have your bundle of miracle in no time same as me.
Dhag Ax: Dr. Silber is an elderly and has many disabilities including hearing, sight and many more. He's not able to perform ivf or any medical procedures. I wonder how he's able to have a medical license in this situation.
Lindsey Saunders: I would highly recommend Dr. Silbers, Dr. DeRosa and their team to anyone considering fertility treatment.
NWA PAINTERS: I gave up on the healthcare industry until we met Dr Silber. From start to finish everything happened just like he said, so just listen to him and his staff and everything will work out for you.Richard and Citalyn coggin. This is Catalina and Maximus Coggin
Kota Bell: Made me a very happy grandmother! Love Dr Silber and his team!
Tessa Chapman: We had a wonderful experience with Dr Silber and his office and staff including our coordinator Kelsey who was so great with communication. After struggling for years due to PCOS, we decided to look into fertility options. Dr. Silber explained my condition to me in a way no other Dr. had and we decided to due Mini IVF (less drugs and less money!). We had our miracle baby girl June 2021 and couldn't be happier. Would highly recommend!
Sarah Perez: Dr. Silber was amazing! He gave us hope when all hope was lost. Several local infertility treatment centers failed us on numerous levels. The Infertility Center was different from day one with individualized attention and a care approach that involved innovation, research and the unique needs of a patient and their family. Dr. Silber has it all....experience, expertise, knowledge and compassion. Our miracle was born on Aug. 6, 2019 and I am forever grateful to Dr. Silber and his entire team.
Kalo Enterprise LLC: We are so happy with the amazing team that helped us create our beautiful baby girl. Dr Silber, Dr Derosa and Kelsey, were absolutely incredible in making our dreams come true. Dr Silber is a true genius in his methods with creating, freezing and transferring the embryos. Dr Derosa is very skilled in Surgury and has a great sense of humor. He helped to repair my scars, which were preventing my ability to carry a pregnancy. Kelsey is an absolute sweetheart and so helpful, going above and beyond. I’m not sure what her title is, but it should be rockstar. We will be coming back again to try for a 2nd. Thank you, Dream team!
Daniel Mayo: Dr. Silber is a miracle worker. I made a bad decision in getting a vasectomy in my previous life and after meeting the woman of my dreams knew I wanted to grow my family. After reading various reviews and talking with many other doctors, I thought my odds of achieving a larger family naturally were nearly impossible. Thanks to Dr. Silber though, it wasn't! Dr. Silber was able to successfully perform the reversal, and my wife and I are now proud parents of 3 miracles that wouldn't have happened if it weren't for Dr. Silber! Thanks Doc!
Liz Lamde: We cannot thank Dr. Silber, Dr. DeRosa, Dena and team enough for helping us to conceive. After 3 years of infertility, I gave birth to our son at the age of 41. Dena, my IVF coordinator, was great at communicating and answering any questions throughout the whole process. Dr. Silber was very honest with me before the embryo transfer that there was only a 30% chance of pregnancy. But it worked! Dr. DeRosa was also very compassionate when I cried my eyes out during the egg retrieval (not from pain, just overwhelming emotions!). We are so pleased that we chose this clinic and very highly recommend them!
Ali Ahmadi: The doctor here seemed decent, however his staff is the most unprofessional and rude employees that we have ever encountered. Twice, they stood us up by keeping us more that an hour waiting on zoom. Why schedule an appointment when you are clearly going to waste people’s time? Anyway, after being stood up twice, we left a review. Then his staff threatened us that if we didn’t remove the review, they would stop treating us.That’s when we decided to take our business elsewhere……… and OMG the service was night and day!!! At the other clinic, we were tested professionally, both the staff and doctors were always on time (down to the minute) and after a successful treatment we are now expecting a baby girl.So glad that we took our business elsewhere ….. you are paying tens of thousands of dollars and treated by rude and unprofessional staff….. completely unacceptable to today’s standards.Beware, beware, beware!!!
Charla Warren: Updated to add: Dr. Silber’s reply is correct—I wasn’t his patient, but my daughter and son-in-law were clients. We, the parents, are the ones left to deal with the heartache and the anger. We hope to share our experience in hopes of preventing another family from such a horrible, expensive experience! From missing medications to horrible communication practices, this place has been one nightmare after another for our family. The accolades all over the wall are meaningless - the proof of a good dr is good care and good results----all we have is $65,000 less in the bank and NOTHING else but heartache and frustration that comes from dealing with an incompetent staff. If you are looking for a fertility doctor, run to another option. This place cares only about money - it's disgusting.
Meg Mac: Mom and Dad were always titles my husband and I were very passionate about having but, after 5 years of trying many other fertility salutations our doctor pointed us toward IVF. We were so lucky to be from the St. Louis area but I think we would have traveled from anywhere for the great care and expertise we got from Dr. Silber. He was so kind but also very realistic and honest about the challenges we were facing. It was clear from the beginning that he would decide on a specific treatment based on our individual challenges and not just push us through a standard one size fits all IVF program, which is the experience many of my friends that went to other doctors had described to me.During the monitoring portion of my first egg retrieval cycle Dr. Silber actually decided the medication mix I was on wasn't producing the number and size eggs he was hoping for, so he stopped the process. This meant I could save the remainder of my medication as well the funds for the procedure for a cycle that would be successful instead letting me complete this one knowing I would likely have to have a second. This, of course, was disappointing at the time but more importantly just proved to me again that the success of my treatment was Dr. Silber's number one priority. After a reset period we started again with an adjusted approach. This produced 7 beautiful eggs, two of which would become my beautiful daughters.I will be forever grateful to Dr. Silber and his whole team for giving us the chance to be parents. Their care, understanding, and great communication made the whole experience easier and so much less stressful. Anytime I encounter someone struggling with fertility I feel confident and happy to be able to suggest Dr. Silber and to tell them about my wonderful experience.
Brian McHugh: We struggled for almost 10 years to have a baby, after many failed attempts and our current dr saying there was nothing else he could do, a co worker told us about Dr Silber, 1 year later we had our first child, some people just get it and he gets it when it comes to infertility.
Amber Haven: After 3 years of unexplained infertility with recurrent pregnancy loss, Dr. Silber and his office brought us our amazing twin boys! Working with Dr. Silber was a breeze, as his office staff is very organized and communicative. Lots of communication is done via email, which is very convenient for full-time working couples. From our first meeting to our last appointment, my husband and I were impressed and relieved through our IVF journey.
Tom: Dr. Silber performed a vasectomy reversal on me in December 2014. My vasectomy was performed about 11 years prior so I was skeptical, he was not. We were fortunate to have a little girl in September 2016 after my wife experienced a miscarriage the summer of 2015, just a few short months after the reversal. We also had a son in July 2019. Dr. Silber and his staff was incredible to work with as well as everyone at St. Luke's Hospital. His work has enabled our family to be complete, adding our two little ones to four much older siblings that absolutely adore their young siblings.
Ajit Kumar: Dr. Silber performed my vasectomy reversal surgery in 2009. He met us a day before the surgery as well. The whole process was excellent. I became fertile in 2010, and my wife was pregnant a few month later. We had our first baby in 2011 and the second one in 2014. Thank you Dr. Silber
Maurio Jones: We started seeing Dr. Silber in May 2019. We started later in life to see our dreams realized of having a child together. Dr. Silber and his staff were the only ones who agreed to see us based on our age. After a couple of unsuccessful attempts, we are now excited to say that we are 28 weeks pregnant. We have enjoyed an uncomplicated pregnancy. Our baby girl has progressed wonderfully. We are overjoyed and excited about the pending arrival of our baby girl in August. The staff was courteous and encouraging, and they to, share in our joy. We would recommend Dr. Sherman Silber and the Infertility Clinic to any one that is willing to commit to the regiment and schedule that Dr. Silber sets for you. It may become frustrating at times, and you may become impatient with the process, but we urge you to stay the course. The end result of finally holding your child that you waited so long for will be more than worth the time and effort that you will put in.
Douglas Braulick: We started working with Dr Silber in 2018 and went through only 1 egg retrieval process; which resulted in 2 embryos. We were happy since my husband and I were well in our 40s at this point. However, both transfers ended in a negative pregnancy result. We took some time off of the IVF train and took Dr Silber's advice and used an egg donor for our next attempt. And we had success! At 45 years old, I was pregnant and we welcomed our little boy into the world on March 5, 2021. I developed severe preeclampsia (not due to anything related to Dr.Silber or the infertility center of St Louis) and he needed to be delivered 8 weeks early. Despite being only 3 lbs 20z when he was born, our little man is thriving. He is almost 3 months old and is doing amazingly.Dr Silber and his team are like a "well oiled machine"; they have their way of doing things, they are organized, always available for questions, they get back to you promptly and they understand how difficult this process can be, so they have made things very streamlined and easy to follow-which helped reduce the stress in a stressful adventure. We cannot thank Dr Silber and his team enough for helping us start a family. We recommend them and their team to any couple struggling with infertility.

Kindbody - St. Louis (formerly Vios Fertility Institute): what do users think?
Sarah Cronin: Really great and knowledgeable.
Heidi Gunther: The nursing staff is supportive and understanding.
Gerlind Schauder: Perfect service, very helpful, friendly and always on time
Taylor Wilcoxen: We saw this company back in October. Today we received a bill for the very first time telling us that our account is significantly past due and will be sent to collections. Again, this is the first bill we have received. On top of that, the name they have on the bill is spelt wrong in two different places. This wouldn't seem like a big deal, except the misspelling that they made twice is what delayed results. This company is very unprofessional.I have reached out via email and will be expecting an an soon.
Megan Parks: I've been working with Dr. Rhee and NP Emily for the past several months and have been SOO blessed by them both. I am actually an out of state patient, so only meet with them virtually, I was worried this was going to going to feel impersonal and be harder to connect. This has not been the case! I have felt cared for and loved the entire way through. They are always willing to answer any questions we have and have both been so helpful. Cannot say enough good things about these 2 ladies!
Jami Zude: The most amazing and caring staff! Dr. Cooper is absolutely wonderful!
Marissa Steelesmith: My experience with Dr.Rhee and the staff have been nothing but great! They are so welcoming, kind and helpful. Every time I’ve gone in for blood work and ultrasounds the staff have been nothing but so sweet to me and I’ve always felt comfortable. Definitely will be going back to them for round 2!
Stanislav Semenduev: Find a different place, don’t waste your time. Especially with Amber Cooper.
Erna Semendueva: Very unprofessional people. They don’t show up for your appointments without any notice and then without any apology trying to reschedule next day.
Verlensia Hall: I would never recommend any individual or couple visit this clinic. I have had nothing but issues with this clinic since my first month. I have tried several times severing this relationship. They pulled in back numerous times promising better service. That was a lie!!! I have been contacting this company for days to get a resolution. Nothing!! I call 20+ times a day, different departments just to talk to someone new to try and get somewhere, it all boils down to no one answering, never getting call backs, and no customer service. Now I will say after a year or so of frustration I have resulted to speaking extremely vulgar to them and them just constantly dismissing me and still not trying to resolve anything. THEY PREY ON PEOPLE AT THEIR MOST VULNERABLE TIME AND KICK YOU TO THE CURB. Please really consider this company. ESPECIALLY THE SAINT LOUIS LOCATION.
Victoria Heller: Everyone was very great at making me and my husband feel welcome and hopeful . Everyone is very helpful to answer any questions, Doctors and nurses are quick to respond to any messages sent through the portal . We have had a wonderful experience this far.
Lucy Guiffrida: Working with everyone at Kindbody has been truly amazing. Dr. Purdy and my team have made every step that much easier. Dr. Purdy is genuine and kind and is there every step.
Sara Kramer: I’ve been going to the Creve Coeur location and Dr. Purdy and her entire team of staff and nurses have been amazing throughout our journey. Everyone genuinely seems to care and have been so kind.
Morgan Taylor: I will never ever recommend VIOS (now Kindbody) to anyone. I had a horrible experience and have actually met quite a few women who had an experience here that made them go to another fertility clinic. You are going to spend thousands of dollars so please do your research and ask all the questions.Dr. Rhee was the doctor we wanted, the one we had our first appointments with, and the doctor we expected to continue dealing with through the whole process. Long story short: We decided to do IUI. It was successful and we found out we were pregnant but about a week later we did a blood test and my numbers were not rising as quickly as they should so we were told it was a miscarriage. Two days after (another blood test) we were told we were all good and pregnant. About 3 days later we had another blood test and told we were having a miscarriage, and yet again two days later after yet another blood test we were pregnant and we could schedule our first ultrasound. We had to go to a different location for our ultrasound so we did not know the tech doing the US. She started scanning my stomach and said “uhh you’re not pregnant, there’s no baby in here”. Besides that being heart breaking, it was actually super unprofessional and we had to tell her that yes we were pregnant. Another doctor (not Dr. Rhee) came in and told us we must be having a miscarriage but they will check everything in the next couple days. Well we go back for another blood test to make sure our numbers were going down only to find out our numbers had increased. We went right into the ultrasound and no baby. We were told they couldn’t find the baby anywhere so it must be a miscarriage. Even a doctor came in to look at the ultrasound and said it was NOT an ectopic, but if we wanted to drive over an hour away on a Sunday we could have another ultrasound. Well Sunday came and I just didn’t feel right. I had my husband drive me to the ER because something in my gut said VIOS was missing something. They sent me for an ultrasound, immediately they see the baby in my fallopian tube and I was about to have an ectopic rupture. By chance my OBGYN was on call and she performed my surgery. I lost use of my tube due to scar tissue. In the weeks following I did not hear from Dr. Rhee once. Two weeks after my surgery I got a call from the clinic asking when i wanted to come in to discuss what procedure I wanted to do next.Look I understand that the point of the fertility clinic is to get you pregnant, but I was expecting more. More competence, more care, more professionalism. I will never ever recommend this clinic (VIOS or Kindbody). Do better.
Maggie Taylor: Every step of my journey I've had an amazing team helping me out and no matter what I know I have support and I feel like the whole team genuinely cares about me
danyail molton: Of course I have not one complaint about the staff but amazing I have to say I was blessed to have on of thee best Gifted sweetest Doctors in the infertility world I love this team but I have to say I Love Dr Rhee and Nurse Mandy I have the best support system here
Andrea Bell: Wonderful expensive all around. Everyone who works there is great!
Devon Blessent: Very nice and affectionate care
Kristen Harris: The staff is always so friendly and accommodating!
April Politte: As a new patient I can only rate our initial experiences thus far, but I have been very pleased at this point. I had some complications with my insurance and the staff was immensely helpful and patient. I was dreading using zoom for our consultation, but Dr. Rhee was knowledgeable, compassionate, and willing to work around our desires and concerns. She seems to be genuinely invested in doing what is best for each individual patient rather than just selling procedures for profit. I amNot a fan of the portal, but I generally hate technology. I’m much more of a face-to-face person. I’ve had no issues when I’ve called directly though. We feel comfortable continuing this journey with VIOS and seeing what lies ahead.
Emily Boles: Very friendly and informative, overall process seems very organized so far. Great first impression.
