Kara Burley: My husband wrote a review that John responded too. In his response, John said he is more than happy to give us a quote to move the fence. This is humorous as John yelled at my husband on the phone saying because I wrote a bad review he would not help us. I wrote a bad review to get him to respond back to me since I had been trying for several months to get ahold of him. And then we got a county violation and he still would not respond. He finally emailed me a photo of his contract for my house, however my signature nor my husbands signature is on that contract. So the paper contract is void. John told us in person he would take care of any permits.John installed a privacy wood fence for us back in November 2020. We wanted an additional gate, but could not get John to call us back. Now we have received a violation from the county that we were in the county right of way in case they wanted to widen the road. We tried to get ahold of John as he told us he would take care of any permits. I guess this “professional company” lies to customers to get the job and then tries to throw an unsigned contract in their face for the companies wrong doing. Once John finally called us back (after 20+ phone calls and emails and a bad review), he told us the gate we initially asked for months ago are gates his company doesn’t do. If that is the case… let your customer know and a new plan would have been developed. He also proceeded to yell at my husband and was extremely unprofessional because we were upset he did not follow through on what he said he would. My husband had to ask John not to yell and raise his voice at him. A professional fence company would actually check lot lines, permits, and make sure everything was legal. At least this is what we have been told from other companies willing to fix his mistake. DO NOT contract First Choice Fence Company. He does not fix his mistakes and doesn’t answer his phone or email… only after you write a bad review will you get a response and then he will tell you he won’t help you because of the bad review.Service:Wood fence installation

Brad Stine: Had a fence installed then needed a gate installed and called for almost 4 months with no response. Was told they pulled permits when we first walked the property. Well now that the fence is in a violation the owner John said he never said that. When I spoke to John on the phone he was very unprofessional and wanted to charge me more to fix the issues we were having with the fence location. He was argumentative and not willing to work with me because my wife also wrote a bad review. I would not recommend this company to anyone. The owner stated, when i complained about the poor communication, that he didn't have someone to answer phones. He said that he does it all, at least everything except answering his phone. The owner also told me that there are other fence companies that can help me so I will go to some other fence company that will help me without being unprofessional. He was the only one who offered that from the few fence companies we talked to.The price was the best deal out of all the quotes we got, and the fence went up fast! Three days total (with the second day allowing the posts to settle.)The fence is beautiful! We installed a 6’ cedar privacy fence in our backyard. During the process John was onsite with his workers to answer questions. On the first day we realized our survey was a bit different than where I thought the property was. He quickly made adjustments with his team, and the changes actually reduced the cost of the job.Overall a painless experience with a great result. First Choice really should be your first choice for fencing.

Anastasia Elieff: We gave him a chance when he first opened the business. Now he woun't repair it. I've called a million times and he never returned any of my calls. I've even gone so far as to go to the business in person. All in the last five years or so. No such luck. I'm surprised he's still in business after all these years. I'm tempted to go somewhere else and have them send TNT the bill. I wouldn't recommend TNT at all. Run, run the other way and as far away as you can get! NOT worth it. Not worth it at all. SAVE YOUR MONEY.
