Bill Anderson: For many years, I was afraid to enter a custom-made suit store because I was sure I couldn't afford bespoke clothing. But my daughter's wedding made me think: do I want to wear another ill-fitting suit off the rack or a suit that really looks great? So I did some research and learned that I didn't have to spend more on a bespoke suit than any suit I'd buy at Nordstrom. I, bravely, made an appointment at Savile Row and took the plunge. Such a great decision. I had a personal appointment with a sales VP who measured every square inch of my person, gave me a huge selection of possible fabrics, and it all went very quickly. My suit was made in New Jersey, and when Savile Row received it I went in for a final fitting and Savile Row's tailor did the alterations. I also bought a bespoke shirt which was a rich white fabric. I looked and felt like a million dollars at the wedding. It was such a special experience. The VP of sales made me feel important and attractive and no one has treated me that well in many years. Amish Mustafa Khan: Craftsmanship:I brought in a linen/cotton summer shirt to be hemmed at the bottom. Regarding the quality of Ms. Simpson's work, I noted two areas for improvement:1. The stitching was not locked on one end. When a stitch is not locked correctly on one end, it can unravel completely.2. The shirt puckers significantly where it was hemmed. This often happens when working with stretch fabrics. However, I brought in a shirt with little to no stretch. I was surprised to see the puckering!For $28, I believe you can find better craftsmanship and value elsewhere.Business Practices:Ms. Simpson has a strict payment policy, which I was unaware of:1. Payment must be made prior to initiation of services2. If invoice is not paid within 7 business days of scheduled pick-up date there is an additional $60 up-chargeMy scheduled pick-up date was for May 2nd. I went to go pick-up my item and make payment on May 3rd. There was a sign informing me that Ms. Simpson was to be out of office May 3 - 10 (something I had not been informed of previously). When my wife returned on May 11 to pick up the shirt on my behalf, Ms. Simpson refused to relinquish the shirt and demanded $60 up-charge. Rather than acknowledging the mutual miscommunication, Ms. Simpson became angry and unprofessional.

Victoria Phillips: As the saying goes, "You never get a 2nd chance to make a first impression". Came in to check out the business. I've never had any alterations done by anyone outside of family friends so this was a new experience for me. Lets just say the welcome I received made me feel as if my garment was too dirty and wrinkled. I literally brought in a dress that I tried on once and put back in the shipping bag. Now I had no problem coming back for a formal appointment or removing pet hair which unfortunately the dress had collected the one time it was out of the shipping bag (I understand people have allergies. Unfortunately some fabrics attract pet hair more than others) but it was the way it was said to me especially when I wasn't there to get services I just wanted check out the shop. I get it when I am not in my work clothes I look a lot younger and not like a doctor but the statement was so off-putting as if to insinuate that my dress and I were out of place. Again sometimes its not what you say but how you say it. I felt so uncomfortable I got in the car and called another business that took my dress same day same condition with no issues. As a young black professional I love to spend my money with black businesses so I hated to have this experience.

Xtina Elizabeth (mua): Peggy is nothing short of amazing!!! I had my wedding dress “altered” by someone else before I knew about custom alterations and it was totally ruined. My fiancé and I were leaving in less than a week for our elopement and everyone else I called said they didn’t have enough time to help. My fiancé called custom alterations and Peggy was happy to come in on her day off to help us out because she knew I was frantic and there was no hope of me finding anyone else at that short of notice. She fitted me that day, told me what she saw that had been done by the precious seamstress and walked me through every step of how she was going to fix it because she knew how nervous and upset I was. I came back two days later to have try my dress back on after she let the previous alterations out. It was already 100 times better but it was back to its original state and still in need of alterations. From this point she told me about all of the things she saw that needed to be fixed and went into detail of how she was going to fix them, where she would take it in and why, etc. I left her to it for two more days and came back for my final fitting the day before we were leaving for the elopement and the dress was absolutely stunning. It fit like a glove and complimented my body shape in every way. She was so kind and accommodating every step of the way, came in two different times during her days off for me and the total price was around $130 for everything. I will be coming to her for any other formal alterations needs I have and I will go to the ends of the earth to recommend her to anyone I know in need of her services. She went so far out of her way for me out of the goodness of her heart and she shaped the dress better than the designers did. I literally cannot say enough good things about her. Jim Butler: I had two suits made from Bespoke Apparel under the impression that the suits would be made in accordance with the name bespoke but in actuality they were Made to Measure without any details related to a true Bespoke suit.The proprietor David is a very courteous person and I have no quarrels with this but he insisted that my suits were Bespoke as if I wouldn't know the difference between. swimming in the ocean as opposed to a blow up childs swimming pool. In other words it was an insult. The name bespoke apparel is not consistent with the garmets produced.I'm not saying that the suits I purchased were not decent but they definitely weren't bespoke.I took my suits with disdain and found a true bespoke tailor.

Valerie Bogutski: We chose to use Bespoke Apparel for my fiance's suit for our wedding however the whole process was a nightmare with one hiccup after another. We began this suit adventure extremely excited that he would be getting exactly the suit he wanted for our big day, a three piece slightly lighter than navy pinstripe suit. We ordered this on February 2 for a wedding happening in mid May. We were told it should take about a month to have it put together and ready for a final fitting. By mid March (6 weeks later) I had never heard back from the company. I called and they told me that they would need to call and look into the status of the suit. At this point they informed me that the fabric, both the outer and lining were on backorder and they should have it ready in two more weeks. This was the beginning of the nightmare. Not only are they not making the suits in house but they have poor communication with their customers and a lack of oversight on their part. Two weeks pass and the suit still isn't complete. Finally the second week of April the suit is ready for the first fitting, 10 weeks after it was first ordered. The suit was larger than planned, especially since we asked for a slimmer fit on jacket. From that appointment in early april it took multiple other fittings to get the suit more to what we requested. At one fitting, my fiance kept telling them the suit jacket was too big yet they brushed him off and told him that was supposed to be how it fits. When I looked at it that night, he looked like a child playing dress up in his fathers suit jacket, he was swimming in it. Additionally, the front of the jacket came down lower than the back. He took the suit back and brought one of his own slimmer suit jackets with him to show them the style we were requesting. Finally the before week of the wedding (14 weeks later) the suit was finished, while still not quite what we were wanting but it would have to do. For the price of this suit, almost $1200, we expected better service and less of a headache. I would not recommend this company unless you have 6 months prior to your event.

Lexi Smith: I had a dress hemmed here about a year ago and it was a horrible experience. First of all, she told me to come back a week later and even handed me a slip of paper that said when the dress would be ready and when I came back she looked at me like I was crazy… She said the dress wouldn’t be ready for another week. I gave her the benefit of the doubt but when I came back a week later I still had to wait about an hour and then my dress was hemmed entirely too short. For the record I had brought the shoes that I had planned to wear with the dress to the initial try on and the same shoes back when I tried on the final product. The lining also stuck out from under the dress like it had not been hemmed along with the outer layer. I took my dress, paid entirely too much for bad work in my opinion, and ran… I did not wanna spend anymore time in her store.

The parking lot was a bit small but fit enough cars and enough space tmaneuver. when I called for an estimate they had me come as soon as possible to see if they could fit within my own schedule. It was a tight turn around and I got my suit back as soon as possible which was amazing. I had the waist of my pants hemmed. They were perfectly hemmed into the seam of the pants and there was a belt loop perfectly aligned with the seam which was a very nice touch. My jacket had really long arms that needed to be hemmed and they now fit perfectly with my arms. They fit right around my thumbs/wrist so that I can have a big range of movement and look great. Whenever I got to them, I was helped with nearly immediately and they were very quick with measuring me. Grantimas maximas: Affordable and fast turn around. Groom wanted us to get suits from Amazon and they were able to fit them like a custom suit. Will be buying probably one more suit and having them fit it.

Delaney Alyse: Due to some shipping issues I got my bridesmaid dress 1 month before the wedding. Went to Anthony's expecting them to say there's no way they could do it in time, but instead they were so nice and friendly and said they would absolutely get it done. Sam was amazingly kind, and the lady at the front desk (i think her name is Gloria) was also very friendly and helpful. It was even busy when I visited, and they managed all customers with timeliness and professionalism. After the fitting, my dress was done in two weeks and looks AMAZING. They have my business for everything. If you need tailoring, this is your place.
